Yeah,no. I don't want certain people to be able to find me, including one member of my own family. I am not in the witness protection program-yet.

I just happened upon this thread, I was so excited to read/see all your posts. I am not an artist per-se but do consider myself a creative sort. My SIL asked me to create a backdrop for Santa pictures for a Christmas party her company is hosting at one of the local community centers for those less fortunate. I've had some fun looking for ideas and creating a plan in my head; will be shopping for items to create the work this week. I may post a few pix.

One of the things that I'm reading in some of your posts is that Oh, you're not an artist, you just dabble or do this for fun or maybe this isn't art but...

    Mary Newton George's photo.

"THE AIM OF ART IS TO REPRESENT NOT THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE OF THINGS, BUT THIER INWARD SIGNIFICANCE" Aristotle

If your work touches someone, anyone, even just you then there is inward significance and it truly is art. You must own the significance of what you do!!

Thanks ladies, I will visit often to see your works.

ooh. Just found this. Fun. I have a few hobbies. Jewelry and poetry. It's a good time for this poem. Hope you enjoy.

Christmas comes but once a year

Lots of joy and lots of cheer.

    Food's great, Company too,

It's just that there's so much to do!

Haul out the wreaths and the lights

Colors shine right through the night.

Buy the presents, trim the tree,

Hope a presents there for me!

    Wrapping paper piled so high,

Only one more gift to buy.

But it seems to never end,

There's always just one more to send.

    Suddenly before you know it,

Budgets tossed and you just blow it.

Bank account is just a wreck

But that's okay and what the heck!

Christmas is just once a year,

That's ENOUGH of all that cheer! !!!!

Moonflower, I love the pea pod. An artist friend does prints of things from nature. She would love it too.

Love the pea pod and owl...crocheted hats amazing, I would someday like to learn how to crochet and/or knit. The baby sweaters are beautiful, those could be handed down by generation. Lovely work Ladies!!
