Thank you. I'm so very Thankful!!!
Big news....I'm under contract for a condo in Countryside.

Movers happened yesterday and I'm in the new digs.
Question? Any recommendations on a Cardiologist? Saw a Neurologist today to learn what was causing my big memory troubles. Nope, nothing from the Dementia realm. Instead, I've had quite a number of TIAs over the years.
Thanks. Hope to see you all soon. Well, maybe not as soon as we'd like, given the scope of the CVOID and all.

I've been seeing Van Nguyen at Mease Countryside for 25+ years. Really like him. He's with BayCare.
Think we met years ago at a lunch at a house in Feather Sound. I’m in Dunedin.

Thanks. I now live here in Countryside so that's good. I'll see if he's in my Plan. We might have, then again my memory isn't good one bit. At times I forget things from two hours ago!

Hahahaha I can forget stuff in minutes.
But do look him up, I wouldn’t have stayed with him this long if I didn’t like him.

You guys did meet at firework’s (Lorraine) House, and spookiesmom - it was indeed in Feather Sound. She moved not long afterward to Alaska on a military assignment with her DH, not sure where she is now

Good to know and thanks, SpecialK. Don't think was ever at her place, but....that's part of the problem now. Results from the NeuroPsych test, memory and executive function are at the bottom of the barrel regarding my brain function.

Hope everyone is doing well!

twills - hey! I was just thinking about you and wondering how you’re doing too! I changed shampoo and that triggered the thought, lol

lol, I haven’t done anything with my hair but shampoo and deep condition for 3 weeks! No heat, no styling products, nothing. My hair must be so confused! 😂
Also doing tons of beauty/skin treatments that I have a hard time doing when I’m working and need to look decent lol, yay for self care in isolation!!
Great to hear from you!

Galsal, same here:)I still feel new and we’ve been here almost 5 years. But I lived in the same place I was born and raised in until moving here so it was a shock. We absolutely love it here though:)

Hello Ladies! Ive been away for quite awhile- needed a break, moved to Florida and have been off meds for 18 months, now 7 years since diagnosis.
I have been seeing wonderful Dr David Wright, Fla Canc Spec, in North Tampa since I moved down, on recommendation from here. I live in Homosassa so its a bit of a haul down there. Jumping ahead of myself but: can anyone recommend a good onco in Citrus, Hernando or even Pasco counties, closer to me? and also a good surgeon, just in case, thanks, and hope all of you are doing well in these times.

My MOs practice has an office in Holiday in Pasco. Dr Hansalia. There is an office in Trinity too on 54 I think. comprehensive hematology and oncologist is the practice name

Thanks. Do they have or do you have a good surgeon in the area also?

My BS is at Morton Plant in Clearwater. That would really be far for you. He did both my surgeries. I guess they could recommend someone more up your way, or you could consider Moffitt in Tampa.

Aviva - hey you! Do you need a BS, a PS, or both?

Glad to see everyone is doing well. I was on break for a while too, but I'm back. My hair has grown a lot during the pandemic. Lots of root touch-ups for the past couple of months but I just came back from my hair stylist's loft. Got some color, yay!
Oh, and I feel like Darth Vader when I wear my face mask in public.
I miss all of you! Looking forward to meeting you, GalSal.

I just discovered this area of the forum and wanted to say hi! I'm 18 months post bilateral mastectomy and finally have some days where I don't think it about it anymore, but have also turned into a bit of a hypochondriac. Every little thing turns me into a nervous wreck.
Anyway, I'm in Lutz, and once things get back to normal, would love to join any meetups you have.

bucsgirl - hey! Good to see you and wow on your hair!
ladyofthelake - we look forward to meeting you, so sorry that the current state of affairs prevents a get together - this is a great group of people! One of the fantastic things about seeing each other in person is the instant connection and the understanding that comes from being with people who totally get it without you saying a thing - it is a precious resource.

Thanks for the warm welcome SpecialK!

I found Dr Torr Carmaine as a surgeon in Inverness. Went to him for a biopsy, and he is very calm, patient and gentle. Very happy with him and the office. Going to see Dr Fausta at FCS in Lecanto Monday. He is recommended by a friend and also by Dr Wright in Tampa. So comfortable with that choice as well, tho I havent met him.
Going to Carmaine for results this afternoon. I did already get an email from Quest which turns out to have the results in it. ILC, looks like grade 9, unknown stage. Hard to understand much of the report. Looks I think like ER+, PR and Her2-. Possibly. Will hear more later. Shocked, but not shocked. Just wonder if it is a recurrence, with an Oncotype of 2 and bilateral mastectomy seems really unlikely. Feeling bummed.

aviva - oh no girl! So sorry you are in this situation, but glad you are feeling that you are in good hands. Please keep us posted - can I do anything for you

Thanks, SpecialK!! Good to see a friend on here. I go to my Onco, correct name Fonseca, Monday afternoon. PET scan Mon morning, same FCS location, so hopefully he will have the results. According to surgeon who had already spoken with him it will be a more systemic treatment, with drugs first, to see if can shrink tumor/s. So chemo for me, something I am pretty scared of. But I think the newer pill form. Possibly radiation or the surgery to remove down the line. Still in shock from the news. He said that because it is a recurrence it is automatically Stage 4, which I wasnt prepared for.
