Annoyingboob, I am not taking anything for the pain as it made very little difference, and I certainly do not want to get addicted. I think the reason my pain is so strong is because I am a landscaper and 60-70 % off my job is laying paver patios, so my pecs are maybe more developed then a woman who might work on a computer? Not sure, but at this point it is becoming worrisome that I might never do my job again. Thanks for listening, I really regret not having found this group before. So glad I am here now.

maulwurf: when you see the new PS, ask him if he'll swap the TEs out from under the pecs & replace them with pre-pectoral ones. Much less discomfort & when your pecs heal, they'll be as good as new...there's a discussion board on the subject (link is below)a lot of the gals have gone that route. On the top of the page are a list of PSs(although I'm sure there are many more) together with research articles you can show him...

Bevmomduck--So sorry for your news. Praying for peace in your family .

Shellybeans- I am glad for your good news. Hold on to that.

I have been hospitalized with neutropenia . They said I might be here a few days. They gave me iv antibiotics. I have a headache but other than that feel ok. This is the first time Ive ever been in the hospital that wasn't related to surgery. I've had 3 c sections, a gall bladder and bilateral mastectomy. This is so weird. I want to be home w my family and pets.

bevmomduck - I am so very sorry. You and your family are in my prayers.

3bears - I hope your hospital stay is short. I'm sad you have to go through this.

Shellybeans- great news. Happy dance 💃🏼

Oh, I think Goldie Hahn is who my character should be played by. My daughter reminds me of her daughter, Kate Hudson 😊. Although Goldie is much older than me, I love her personality and the love she appears to have for her family.

    Love you ladies. 😘

Bevmomduc - prayers, condolences, and gentle hugs to you and your entire family. I am so sorry you are going through this - and yes, there are certainly things that are bigger than BS. Please take care of yourself and you navigate this difficult road. Your family will be looking to you for support, so remember to take a moment and just breathe. It can certainly become overwhelming.

    Wishing you peace,

    Michele

Bevmomduck, my heart goes out to you!! We ladies have to be so STRONG for everyone else as we are hardwired to NURTURE. And because we ARE strong we don't always take the time we need for self care. I know every lady on this board feels for you and all you are dealing with on top of kicking cancer's ASS!! I pray for God's perfect peace for you and your family but also want you to realize it is perfectly natural and necessary to go through the grieving process. I just watched a show where the pastor was saying the longer you stuff it down inside and don't deal with it, the harder it is. I am so sorry! Heart

Shellybeans, wow!! Excellent news!! What a relief!!! I understand your hestitance to comment as you were waiting, the stress of all this cancer crap is overwhelming and sometimes we need to just take a step back, breathe, and allow time to process. I wish you and all the other ladies continuing on with chemo and rads well. As someone mentioned, I don't see how people got through all this before we had these forums to give and receive support.

3Bears, I hope they get a handle on the Neutropenia and get you back home quickly!!

Annoyingboob, I heard about that Insight timer app, I think I will try it. Thanks for posting all the links AND for the funny fainting goats!!

I went for a fill yesterday. My PA told me the PS found out the textured "gummy" they planned to use for my exchange has a very minute risk of Lymphoma, so they have moved away from them. He is now planning on going with a smooth round cohesive gel. I am pre-pec, I hope they don't look like hamburger buns on my chest lol! Loopy

PugsMama, thanks so much for the info, didn't realize this could be done, thought I was stuck with this forever. Will ask the new ps.

Cowboy-Up: neutropenia happens when the chemo kills too many white cells & they drop to a dangerous level so that you can't fight any infections. That's why most of us on the chemo train get a Neulasta shot the day after chemo...that stimulates the mone marrow to up the production of the white blood cells. Not sure why 3Bears' MO didn't give her that shot. There are side effects but neutropenia is not a good thing either!

    Still praying for Bevmomduck.🌷

Annoying boob- that goat video made me laugh! Thank you. It was perfect.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. I feel really good. I want to go home. I think it'll another day. I got bit by a tick Monday morning. They seem to think that might be why I got the fever. I would have been fine otherwise I bet. I blame my hunting husband. But I love him anyway.💕

so much news...took the long weekend with my beautiful daughter... shopped and even hadn't a bit of a hike... felt so good!

Shellybeans, happy dances and congrats to you! What fantastic news... love how it's sending you off on the chemo train fighting like an amazon warrior!

Bevmomduck... words escape me. Love and condolences to you and your family. So very glad you were able to see y0ur brother, and thinking of you today. xOXO

3bears... get well soon! Hope they get you back in your own bed and home asap. I had an ER visit after each of my surgeries, and even That made me cry... sta strong and give them hell.

News: drains are GONE. Wasn't sure if they were going to do it, as I still hadn't gotten the magic two days below 30 ccs... but after 4 weeks they conceded. But they made me take a second fill st the same time in The hope that less room in there will generate less fluid... feeling the tightness and pain today... but drains gone!!!🤛🏻

Gonna start tamoxifen within the week... hoping for no SEs.

    Love you ladies!

    Thank you dcbc.

My husband is off the hook. The actual infectious disease dr said it was not the tick. I could not get a fever that quick and even if it had Lyme disease, the antibiotics I got yesterday kill Lyme disease when given that quickly. They are going to give me neurogen shot. It's like neulasta but it's given once a day. She said it may not even cause me any bone pain. Here's hoping.

Shoregirl-- that was funny! I hope you don't look like you have hamburger buns on your chest either!! Lol! That's good to know because my PS wants to use the gummy bears on me eventually. I'll remember that. Let us know how you like the round smooth implants

Bevmomduck - I am so very sorry to hear about your brother. Thankful you were able to spend some time with him. Your family will be in my thoughts as these next many months will be so difficult for all of you. It sounds like you have a very strong faith. I pray that this sustains you during this time of mourning. It is often very difficult to understand why so many trials happen concurrently. I will be praying for peace for you and your brother's family.

Just had an appointment with the plastic surgeon and I am cleared to ride!!! Basically, I can do whatever I want. I've got about a week and a half before I start radiation. Need to see what kind of trouble I can get in betwee now and then.

Mayday, mayday, I think I've sprung a leak in one of my TE's!! Seriously, on one side it feels like a kid's toy bouncy ball that's losing air. I called the PS, and he said not to panic (what???). I have a Herceptin infusion on Friday, and since his office is at the same hospital, I'll just see him then. He said what will probably happen is that I'll have to go in for more frequent fills. Has anyone else had this or heard of this? In one article I found online it said that it should be replaced. Ugh, never a dull moment with this BC.

Also, Bevmomduck, I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Please know that I'm praying for you and you family!

    Dcbc: I so want one!!

Last night, I was laying in bed ( nothing new since I've been on the chemo train) playing the cable's soundscapes music channel on the TV (I call it the spa music channel). Just closed my eyes & pictured all of us together at the cabana. Best meditation ever!

Docmama: I think I'm leaking a little air too, but on both sides. No more fills for me until I'm off the chemo train so this is it for a while. Seeing the PS on Tues so I'll see what he says..
