I've been dealing with a potential cold today. Felt pretty tired. No real exercise or housework except laundering the clothes I wore yesterday. I don't like to wait until there is a lot so I usually do a small amount every day to every other. Have been taking a fair amount of ibuprofen and that has helped some.

It was a gorgeous day in western New York! I did a two mile walk followed by PT for an hour which felt really great. I've fallen off the wagon due to depression and starting new treatment but today was a new day. So what did I do??? Overdid things of course! I was about thirty minutes early for an appointment so I just HAD to add stopping and hiking in the woods beforehand. It's neat to see 10K steps on my tracker watch thingie but I'm paying for it with back pain now! I will most certainly be taking it much more easy tomorrow.

Mara I hope you can fight that cold off. Booboo I hope you are still feeling better too.

Mel that roll call was fabulous really creative.

Mara I love kitties 🐱 no offense dog lovers I just don’t have the strength to take care of a pet anymore even with all the benefits.

Got my pet results today and still stable, so relieved. The waiting is killer though. My doctor and PA did me a nice favor today. No bloodwork no shots till next week. Whaaaat who does that so cool. Yesterday was my first day off of ibrance so I actually get an entire week off from everything.

Moomala 10 thousand steps that’s worth the soreness.

    Minnie nice to see you.

Booboo hope you’re doing ok today and your stomach flu is subsiding.

I read all the posts on the page before to see who wrote what and respond I’ll lose this post.

    Goodnight all.

    Tanya

Wow Mel, that is a long roll call. Amazing to see.

Tanya, so glad to hear that you are stable.

Moomala, great job on the steps.

Hope everyone is doing well today.

Good Morning Beauties~Time to rise and shine. (Haha hahahabahhhhhhhhaaaaaa) yeah right. More like force my Eye balls open, spill out of bed, make my feet work and get these dogs to shut up with food. I feel ok this morning. Another cloudy morning. Not cold though. I have things to do, but i must wait for my check. Which I don’t get until Friday, Seems like I'm always waiting for something. Results, my check, medicine, my DH on weekends.

I hope everyone feels at least ok..... try to smile about something today. I've already seen a beautiful bluebird at my window. I'm hoping it’s my dad. !!!!

    Much love! ~M~

Mel, I am feeling better today. Cold will be a very quick passing thing.

Not doing too much today, just going to walk. Set myself a 10K goal by 12pm. I have been up since 7 so it is doable on the treadmill. Usually just do one or two songs, rest or get water and get back on. Lots of free time over here. I have walked as high as 17000 in a day so would not be too much of a stretch. Slept better last night as well which helps. May do another laundry once I clean up for the day. That's about it for me.

Hope everyone else is feeling better if sick or SE, in anyones pocket if there are tests or something that makes them nervous. I am going to post something below, not because everyone likes star wars, but just the pure joy this man has watching the new trailer for the movie. He brought me a lot of joy watching it and sometimes I think pure unadulterated joy from someone else can lift our spirits. Anyone who doesn't like Star Wars, forgive me. He just made me so happy.

    https://www.facebook.com/112083646801150/videos/449371932593379/?t=4

Edited to add only HIS reaction to the trailer, not whole 10 min video.

Mara~I agree seeing others happy makes me feel happy as well. I think more people should be like you. You really have a great personality and take on life! It's a pleasure that you have chosen this as your home. Hugs lovely !

I vaccumed the stairs and hallway. Going to let my dyson charge and finish up the downstairs. Gotta clean the bathroom Down stairs as well I enjoy being productive. Clean house makes me happy. I priced a cleaning service. Holy Moly. No wonder I don’t have a maid. They charge $44 dollars an hour and will only Do it if you commit to 1.5 hours every other week. If you want a large clean once only. It’s like $65 an hour. I was like Self. Get yourself up and move woman!!! Wish I had an elyptical. I would use it!! Everyday..... you go girl with those steps !

Mel, thank you. That sounds like a lot of work for sure cleaning. 44 per hour sounds like a lot of money. One of my facebook friends said that she was having a bad day at work and then watched that video on her break and it cheered her up. Glad I could help her out. He made me happy too.

I am on track to hit my 10k steps. Walking one song at time then a short break. Walking really fast during those songs. Once I am done my 12pm goal of steps, I will take fairly easy. Just like setting small goals like that to meet. That makes me feel good. Another goal I had was to stop putting sugar in my cereal. I am happy to say I am able to resist sugar in the cereal. Not doing for weight loss as much as health. Don't want to screw up my heart with too much sweetness. I get plenty with my dessert. I don't deny myself a small dessert as I enjoy them so much. Well, found another song to walk to. I like the James Bond theme songs a lot.

Go Mara! Go Mara! 10K steps does me in. Today I'm just doing some light housework and spending some time with my plants and piano before work teaching in my studio for a few hours. I may try a short walk workout. I'm still doing Leslie Sansone walk workouts and those are just perfect for me where my back is at the moment. Energy-wise I can do a lot of activity but this back just starts to give out. Low back has really been bothering me lately. Recent bone scans show some new uptake at in the lumbar spine but the CT scan was clear. Ortho is doing a follow-up MRI next Friday to see what the heck is going on in there that's causing me so much difficulty. My guess is a either a new compression fracture, or some advancenment of the one already there that is causing nerve impingement. But what do I know. I haven't had an MRI of my back since about February so it'l be interesting (or terrifying) to see what might be new. Orthopedic oncologist is talking about a hip replacement down the road. The back doctor (orthopedic) is talking about a lumbar procedure/. Covering my ears la-a-la.

Hi Micmel..I am still around on the boards, just popping in periodically. Thank you for checking on me, you are a caring person.

I am finishing up on my 37th cycle of Ibrance/Letrozole. It is hard to read of those who have progressed and seeking their next treatment options. Their courage and willingness to share their dx, fright, fears and all of their oncologist discussions are uplifting to me. They prepare me.

Keep doing what you do Micmel..allowing personal thoughts in a safe place.

I have 6858 now. That should mean about 7 more songs. Going to rest a minute or two and get back to it. I am sorry you are having so much back pain.

Also, if anybody is bothered by my posting of activity let me know, it is just this thread is so much more active. I am never trying to brag on what I can do, it just holds me accountable if I say what I plan to do. Easier to get it done and not hard when I am just walking 3 to 5 minutes at a time. I've been going since 7am. Not looking to kill myself hence short, very fast walks.

Moomala, it is easy for me to do these things because I have been on disability since 2016. MO still thinks I should not work and to be honest, I am not sure I am capable due to my extreme lack of patience with stupid people. I may get around to volunteering at my cancer clinic, for now I just donate my older wigs which are always clean and in good shape. Better than a lot of the ones available although they are free for clinic patients.

My hat is off to all off you who not only have jobs to do, families to look after and everything. I never married, no children so I am basically responsible for only myself. I have a tiny apartment so cleaning is easy as well. The only thing I require of myself is to stay active for my health so I don't decline too quickly if I progress. People running off to work, or going on trips, cleaning their own houses, cooking etc really motivate me to do what I can do. I don't believe I would be able to maintain everything everyone does.

Mara~You can let yourself Vent and speak what’s in your heart and mind That’s what this thread is about is life. I think you setting goals and claiming them here is healthy. Once you write it down, it’s officially accomplished for you to remind yourself you’re pretty awesome! I don’t work either. I just couldn’t. So I am also, raising my glass to those who are Able. Simply amazing to me.

Sandi~ I never forget someone who posts here. I try to keep track of people. It’s something that helps me get through my days. I enjoy making sure people are ok and able to have a place to come to and let it out. Or just simply relax and say hello! Always good to see you.

My goal was met at 1210pm. I am happy wiith that. So sweaty but glad I challenged myself. Though I have hit more than 10000 steps in a day, I never managed all of it by treadmill and it usually would have taken all day, not a few hours. At some point I may try to do it in fewer hours but not feeling the need to prove that to myself.

Mel, thank you for allowing me to talk about goals. It helps to set them when you are on your own and this site is full of people who can understand how hard exercise is when we are in treatment or dealing with SE.

I did talk to my IR yesterday. He said yes to doing another y90 for me. He did say he wouldn't be able to do as much as the first time because my liver has been through a lot. I'm going to quiz him a little more about what he meant by that. He said I have to be three weeks out from chemo, so two more weeks.

Meanwhile, I will see my MO on Monday. She is aware that I'm seeking my I R's opinion. Hopefully, she will agree or at least not be in complete disagreement.

I love my cat, too. He's my buddy. He also comes when I call him. I'll post a pic.

Mel, I want your energy today! Tonja YAY for stable.💞

Tanya~😁😁😁🌹🌹🌹💖🤗 I am thrilled for you! My Ibrance buddy! Congrats for stable. You are amazing! One of our super stars! Hug from me. ! Big big one...How many cycles now???

Grannax~Anything they can do to calm that liver down!! The IR’s are known to go outside the box which I love. That is more of what we need. We are strong. Give us a chance, try this for us. Try that for us. Make us live Damn it! Get busy finding the cure. Don’t get me wrong I’m thankful for the Ibrance. And any other treatments we are offered. But they are hard. I just wish had a chance to hear yes you’re cancer free. What a day that would be. Don’t Stop advocating for yourself ! You go ! The energy is from the adderall! That’s why I’m suggesting it to everyone, to speak to your doctor about severe fatigue... it is my game changer!
    Much love peeps!

Mara you keep on posting and maybe I'll get off the couch.

Mel about 30 cycles. I was diagnosed for Stage Iv in April 2017. Started Ibrance in June 2017.

Grannax I'm glad you're doing Y90 again. I remember that worked really well for you. Your cat is gorgeous.

Thanks for the congrats but really just take the pills around the same time daily and endure the SE's. Grateful for the good news.

My husband did laundry this morning and I slept in. My big contribution for the day is picking out the color of paint for the living room and kitchen.

Moomala my back is sounding off too. Sometimes sitting standing and walking Is painful. I heard the neuro onc tell me about another back surgery and I was making faces like a kid. Anyway I'm not going to do any elective surgery especially not on my spine.

    Hi All,

I’m slowly on the mend....operative word “slowly”. The stomach thing is gone, but I still have a lingering dry cough. Drives me nuts. I am so ready to get on with things, but my body is just not cooperating. I’m hoping a few more days of bed rest will do it. Thanks for thinking of me. Love you ladies

Booboo, I am glad your stomach is feeling better and sorry you still have a cough. Being sick just sucks in general and sometimes it feels like it will never end. Sending out positive vibes your way and you are right, rest will certainly be helpful for you.

Tanya, I'll be more than glad to post my goals again. That was a good thing for me to do. Having to work toward a goal got me on the treadmill and helped my back at the same time. I get sore when I am sitting on the couch for too long. No housework being done by me other than regular shower after the workout. I was really sweaty which is unusual for me. I'll take it though.

Tanya~I knew we were close in months, I am almost finished round #37., and honestly I feel great. Just a little dragging. Once the adderall wears off. But that’s ok, that’s rest time. Yesterday I did a ton of cleaning as well as today. My sister bought me a dyson vaccum stick and the thing is amazing. It doesn’t even feel like I’m even doing it. So light weight and powerful. Loving that gift!

Mara~ you’re inspiring me to get moving, I’m going to stalk Craig’s list for an elyptical!

Micmel, good for you. You will feel so much better when you can get some work on something like that. My treadmill was the best thing I purchased for myself after my condo sold. The other best things I bought for myself were a portable washer/spin dryer. I use them in the tub. I have a dryer stand that you hang clothing on and put like a tent over it so they can dry a bit faster. When I have saved enough, I intend to get a portable dryer so I can tumble the clothes dry. Probably will vent it out the window or buy an indoor vent. We will see, not in a rush to purchase that. I just think the tumble dry will keep clothes and towels softer.

Awesome roll call, Mel! The temporary office is up and running. The one destroyed by the fire will not be rebuilt and ready until Feb. Thanks for asking.

Had my bloodwork and my creatine is well within normal levels so I can restart Kisqali now. Thank you God.

Booboo, glad your stomach is better.

Grannax2, glad the IR can do another Y90. Love your cat!

Tanya, congrats on stable!! That is such good news.

Mara, you inspire me to be more active everyday. I want a treadmill now.

Moomala, I hope your new treatment works for many many years.

    Sorry if I missed anyone.

It's very rainy here. Just waiting for the World Series to come on. Go Astros!!

    Hey Tanya,

I will commit to get off the couch if you do. Honestly, Mara, I read your posts as fast as I can so I don't have to think about exercise. I have never been a fan, but I know for sure what you are saying is important. I think my lifestyle of sitting has been the reason I feel so crappy. I am starting to get inspired. I just have to feel a little better, but I think I could give this exercise thing a try

Booboo, I am glad to hear that I can be helpful to you and hope you are feeling better soon.

Mel, I tried an elliptical at the gym when I had a membership. I only did it once because I could only manage 30 seconds before I was out of breath. I said, forget this and went back to treadmil lol.
