Mag~That is so very heart warming, what I have just read. It shows me that there are good people in this world. I can't imagine the sorrow, but that is pretty special. Thank you for including us in such goodness. I think that those people are honoring what a wonderful man your DH was, through out his time working with them. That speaks volumes of his character! Take heart in knowing, he was greatly loved and respected by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. Warm hugs to you, special lady! ~M~

Mag, that's such a heartwarming story. Also speaks volumes about the kindness of people in this sometimes harsh world.

Hope everyone rests well and can sleep. I am always up so late and sleep all morning. I hate it. My DH came up earlier this week, because one of our dogs isn't doing well and he was acting odd again today and he was limping on his one leg. I love having DH here. But so worried about our sweet dog. Haven't heard from a few of you ladies in all while. I hope that just means, you're out living life. I can't believe that we are already past the half way point through November. Soon the year will be over. I think it seems quickly, but my cancer mind remembers every single day that I have fought. Everyday we fight. Hopefully all of you will sleep well. It's already 10:49 pm and I am not even tired yet. DH is exhausted, driving all around to get up here tonight. He is such good man! Rest well. ~M~

Magdalene 51 I am so sorry for your loss. May God have mercy on you. This is such a test. Surround yourself with your loved ones. Maybe he didn't think it would happen so fast. The alcohol makes reality become such a distortion. I'm praying for you. Take Care.

omg she is 9 and I can't even walk near a spider? lol brave young sweet beauty! Go girl!!! I am totally impressed. Looks like lovely weather and great company that day!! So awesome, I have never been to Florida but would love to. She looks so happy. Thank you for sharing that with us. I love the kids smiles. Family make our worlds go around !! Much love to all. ~M~

Mae~Waving hello. Hoping you're still riding your wave of good results. I know I am relieved for now. I have learned that six months goes real fast! I see onc in one week to figure out the plan for the next six months, don't know when I will have shots or blood work. I'm just thankful for some good scans.

Where is Lynne(man) been? Was waiting for her results. Thinking of her !

It's a nice fall day. I am still laying in bed, but will attempt to see it at some point today, our one dog isn't doing well and we are afraid to leave him for anytime period. He's only 10!! He's wobbling again! Poor guy makes me so sad, he's the good rescue dog. Really well behaved. Good dog 😞😢💔. Much love to all ~M~

good morning, I'm here and doing well. Taking DH to the airport soon, he's going back to work and I'll meet up with him in San Jose next month (had to change flight/airport) on our 17th wedding anniversary (x-mas eve). Having some personnel issues at work, hopefully to be resolved in the next week or two (I could lose someone I put a lot of effort into), ugh. Looking around the house at all the clean up needed for next week and trying to spin that into how many Fitbit steps it'll get me but I really don't like cleaning at all :( Anyway, off to the airport, then work, have a great day everyone!

    micmel Member Posts: 10,060

Mae~Does this mean he will be touring again and he won't be with you for chunks of time.? My DH and I have two houses, I spend the weeks by myself with my kids. It's hard sometimes, I wish him nothing but safe travels! I have never been to San Jose, and next month seemed far to me but it's already half way done. You and I are more alike than I thought lol and oh...the cleaning. I hate it. The thought of picking up a vacuuming or mopping a floor, let's just say I am no Julie in that Ibrance commercial. For me it's more like picking up crumb by crumb, just so I can't see it anymore. I used to enjoy keeping everything clean. I miss the strength I used to have with my body and physique! It's like I have aged more than 15 years and I look at the calendar and it's barely been two years. Exhaustion without end. Be safe on your way to the airport.

    Hugs to everyone !

Tanya, She has such a beautiful smile! Kids are so fearless aren't they! I Don't know how you did that. I adore my grandsons but would not touch one even if they begged. I don't touch reptiles of any kind. No snakes, no lizards, no gators, no frogs, and yes I live in Florida, go figure.

Mae, if I get angry about something, I clean. I find it helps to work off the mad, and clears my mind. If I'm too tired, I will sit and clean horse tack. What can I say, I'm strange! That said, I do have cleaning people come in every 2 weeks now. I am forbidden to do floors due to bad discs in back. Also, it is incredibly painful to scrub the tubs now. Turn your music on loud and go!

Micmel, I am sorry to hear about your dog. Its painful to watch them deteriorate. Our Westie is13yrs and 7months old, and I swear it is almost a daily thing. His sight is gone, his hearing is declining rapidly, some days he will just fall down for no reason, but he is happy! He eats and plays(sort of), but he is still happy. Just love him hard till the end.

Does anyone else love the sound of those adjustable sprinklers, the ones that go cha, cha, cha....swoosh? I find that extremely relaxing to listen to. Sitting on the front porch, listening to the sprinkler watering the plants. 74 and sunny today!

I hope everyone has a painter's, wonderful weekend.

    Hugs and prayers,

    Claudia

Claudia~I think your description of the sprinkler as right on target. Whatever relaxes you is what is needed. I try to find my happy place. I think it's with my DH and he Is leaving Tomorrow morning early. Coming back Wednesday before thanksgiving, can't even Believe I Am writing that.hope everyone is well! ~M~

Bigbhome, I have a playlist on my phone called "music to clean to" (mostly techno, punk and British indie), I'm ready and able but rarely willing, lol

Micmel, yes he's back on tour, although he is scaling it back to mainly just Todd Rundgren, the tours are like summer camp, catching up with friends, etc.

work personnel issue solved and I'm still stuffed from our thanksgiving lunch, just lounging tonight.

Mags, I'm sorry about your husband, I can't imagine the shock and sadness. We've got a lot of positive vibes here, welcome.

    Hi to everyone else!

Mae~ I have always liked Todd Rundgren!!!! That is awesome. "Hello it's me" is one of my favorites from growing up ! Very cool!! I have to get my rear end moving for thanksgiving and here l lay getting ready tofall back asleep! I also have a cleaning playlists that I use to get into the mood, it also needs a cleaning !

Hope everyone has a good day. Looks like rain here. No walking today for me! Hugs ~M~

Not my style but he puts on a good show and has very dedicated fans.

Been cleaning for a couple hours, allergies are making it difficult, taking a break and watching The Da Vinci Code, I have enjoyed Tom Hanks since Bosom Buddies :)

I agree Jen! He has many good songs. I like everything really, even some rap! That's pretty cool what he does Mae! How long has he been doing this for a living?

I went out today to fill some prescriptions, even CVS was bombarding me with Christmas ads, displays, all kind of decorations. It isn't even thanksgiving yet. What you decorate for Halloween, put it away, then you put up the autumn pumpkins and fall colored leaves, for what, two days? It's ridiculous! I can't even believe it's already almost December 1! This year went slow/fast, each dayyou live it, seems long, but you blink, and it seems the end of the the year again! It's raining ☔️ here today, and pretty chilly! Hope everyone is warm and safe!

Keetmom?? Thinking of you and your dad ☹️

Micmel, he's been driving for about 15 years and fortunately it works for us, it's like we've been dating our entire marriage. I'm independent and enjoy some alone time and he likes being his own boss and having some adventures.

I've managed to sort through and clear out a years worth of junk mail, medical paperwork, etc from the dinning room table, now on to dishes....

I had my scans on Mon, picked up my copies on Tues, went to the oncologist yesterday. Scans were mixed once again. My liver lesions shrunk, the tumor in one lung disappeared, but there were new nodules in the other lung, and one lymph node increased in size (bone scan showed nothing new, same as last time). After speaking with the a radiologist (not the one that read the CT scans, he wasn't there), my oncologist decided that I would be staying on Taxotere for another 3 months (then I'll have scans again). I was supposed to have chemo on Tues, and I said to my oncologist, "I guess there goes my Thanksgiving" (due to the Thrush and mouth sores I get every time), she said they could change it. I said the check-out person said I had to have it on Tuesday, since I had it on Tues the last time. She said that wasn't true, and I ended up getting it changed to the day after Thanksgiving! Yay! I get to eat on Turkey Day!!! Hope all of your scans went well!!

Today, my hubby wanted to go for a motorcycle ride (after we put away our summer furniture and cleaned the leaves, well the first batch of them, still many oaks still have leaves) off the deck. It was 42 degrees out and cloudy. I said, only if we go to the cemetery (which is only a mile away, and where my Dad is buried, and where we'll be buried) and look at headstones (so we can figure out what we want). We went up and down the streets in there and took some pictures. We were gone about an hour. I wore winter gloves and my helmet and still froze. We went in the hot tub, when we got back, and I wore my winter hat, so my bald head didn't freeze (it's outside). I finally warmed up.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Lynne~mixed results are better than full out progression, I am choosing to celebrate the shrinkage. I am happy that you will be able to enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner and be able to taste it omg, that would drive me nuts! I love all the turkey and trimmings. But I don't enjoy the mess. It's reallly all this cooking for what,? an hour of enjoyment. Ugh! Here we go again. (Bah hum bug)I hope you enjoy the time with your family. Seems like a chilly drive with the motorcycle in the colder weather no matter what you have on! Having your head cold makes you freeze! It does sound like something to blow off some steam! So nice to hear from you. Hope the taxotere continues to kick some butt! Big hugs for you! ~M~

Good morning, ok I actually went to bed at like 930. And I don't feel all that terrible, what I should do is get out of bed. My DD and her significant other asked me to watch some of the walking dead with them. I think we watched two Game of thrones. Two walking dead. It's alright. I like Game Of Thrones better than the walking dead. But at least in the show walking dead I finally look better than the other ladies. lol I could blend right in, with the one boob and the way I walk sometimes when my neuropathy ridden feet start to hurt like hell! But oh well, we live on another day! It's windy and cold day again today, so no walking! I hope you're all sitting down, I have two Christmas presents ordered already! Applause not needed lol bah hum bug is gaining steam again. Gotta start shopping! Ugh! Not nearly as much as last year, and I was in full out chemo mode. But somehow this ibrance sometimes makes me feel worse. With exhaustion. It Sucks ! Have a good Sunday beautiful ladies ! So good to see you Lynn! I hope yousee you all soon. Some it's been days. Hope all is well. !

    Chelle!?

    (50s)!?

Mae~ I meant to ask you what your cup of tea is for music, since I already know your television taste. But meant to ask if you liked the bachelorette and Or bachelor ? I have to admit I am hooked on both always! Just wondered what your music was, since you didn't like Todd Rudgren? I suck at spelling, sorry guys!

Micmel, my main musical taste is 80's new wave, 90's alternative, original Jamaican ska, some punk and some pop. I don't watch the bachelor ones but I am hopelessly hooked on big brother and all things Gordon Ramsey in addition to HBO/Showtime dramas and almost any crime/mystery (I could totally hide a body and leave no evidence, lol).

Mae~ I like a lot of 80's music for sure. I was born in 1970. So all through the 80's I pretty. Well know! I was always into some pretty heavy music. Although still and now my two favorite bands are Led Zeppelin and Queensryche...I really like everything. Elvis. Bee gees. Many many different types. In the late 80's I met queensryche after a show in Philadelphia. It was great, got all their signatures on my cd and pics with them. Great memories, just a different life time ago. Hugs to you! ~M~

i was just reading an article and I wanted to save the darn thing but somehow I lost the link. It was about a doctor who was treating a patient with MBC for 20 years. The reason they scan is that reason right there. I hate scans, but he said that was the way they kept on top of things. The way they dealt with each individual area the best they could. Sometimes even involed surgery. He even said that patients with limited liver mets, should try to have the doctor remove them. I believe that anything that they can see within reason of course, should be taken Out. Cancer Is so tricky, they need to get rid of every possible cell that they can! Most times stage four they rarely operate, for pain only reasons. I think that needs to change. the liver can regenerate, I've had it done. They should try more surgeries to see if that would also increase the survival of stage four. I don't see how it could hurt it. In my mind. The less the cancer in your body, the less changes a rogue cell could break away.

I thought it was interesting, was glad to read about an actual study and article about MBC and comparing differences and ways to make it more treatable. I am so beyond thrilled that my oncology gyno surgeon was aggressive, and said that comes out now! You're way too young. I was so happy that day. He may have saved me many years, (already almost two)that I may have never gotten! I think it should be up to the patient, if they want the surgeries. I can't see how keeping all that. Cancer in your body, could benefit a patient! Just a thought ! ~M~ goodnight ladies

image.....some funny projects turned into their teachers. Lol have a good day and morning. Thanksgiving Is right around the corner! I have to grocery shop for what else we need, I'm scared. I don't want to go near that place! It was a ZOO yesterday people everywhere, I feared for my safety in the crazy grocery store parking lot. People fighting over spots, carts. Places in line. It was really pathetic. I'd rather stay home! Much love ~M~
