Glad to see you Mae and I really like the pool. Chance to cool off outdoors. Also glad that new meds are helping with the vomiting. That helps a lot.
As far as disinfecting everything goes, I can't leave it outside since I am in an apartment. I do wipe down my thermal knapsack with soap, water and a rag. Not because of covid but because it should be cleaned depending on what has been in there to avoid cross contamination. I wash other grocery bags in my washer as well. I did watch the video with the doctor on youtube but feel that is overkill. I do wash my hands even more than I did before and cannot fall down the germ rabbithole for myself. If I get something more than the cold I am getting over, I will alert the authorities but other than that, I mainly stay home and don't go many different places for groceries and burgers.

Illimae,
So wonderful to see you standing there in your new pool! Thank you so much for checking in, and I hope you enjoy the pool!!!

thanks for the responses ref my question about disinfecting mail, deliveries, groceries, etc. I am wiping down all grocery items as more and more grocery clerks are testing positive for Covid-19. I also spray the cardboard boxes from Amazon and throw cardboard out asap. I am spraying bills from the mail and throwing out junk mail, then washing my hands after handling these things. Some days just doing all this disinfection stuff wears me out. Naps are needed.
Illimae— so happy to hear from you. Sorry you have had to go thru these issues. Getting the vomiting under control sounds like a positive step. Hoping your medical team finds many methods that gets you back to where you want to be.
LOVE the pool. Hope you get to enjoy it daily.

Good to see you Mae. Hope you don't have to undergo more surgery, but if I you do, you will be ok. You've come through a lot this year. Enjoy your pool.
In Spain, we are still not allowed to use beaches or Community pools, but from next weekend we are getting release as long as numbers are ok, but limited release. Never mind, I have done so many jobs that may never have been done 😂
Stay safe everyone, and don't inject yourself with disinfectant. Really

Mae - that pool looks too inviting. What I wouldnt give to splash around in something right now. Throw a floatie in that thing and grab a beverage - we are all jealous!
Re: disinfecting things - I spray packaging down with that 3:1 alcohol to water spray I made, and remove things from packaging if it can be. I also have a soft cloth I load up with bleach and water and use that to wipe solid things down if it comes in the house, and my vinyl shopping tote bag. Otherwise that and washing hands is where I draw the line.
Feeling really great here today and yesterday - I dont know if its the different letrozole (yet another brand), the sun, the fact we are moving somewhere new breaking up the boredom, or the lack of a Xgeva shot this month but this is the best I've felt in over a year. I spent 5 hours yesterday packing wardrobe and the bathroom - up and down stairs, lifting of lighter things, leaning over a box, etc and my back/hips held up and I never felt once like i was about to spiral into the fatigue hole. I just need this to hold together for the next 50 hours and then the fatigue and pain can hit. The new for-now place is one level with a walk in shower - won't miss trying to get my Achilles tendons working enough first thing in the morning to get down the stairs to feed the cat demanding her food NOW damnit, NOW.

Morning all.
Mae- Good to hear from you !!! Have fun with your pool. Prayers for you about your MO appointment and hope they have some good options for you.
Hi Minnie.
Plans for my day--- church service online this morning. Laundry this afternoon. Tomorrow-- phone visit with MO and then to office for labs and shots. Kind of silly to me. I will be in office anyway so why not see MO in person. But, oh well.
Do you guys ever think about what your pets think?? I have a cat. It is just me and him in our house. Today he was lying on the bed watching me. And I got to thinking about what he could be thinking. My cat's thoughts---- "Before mom (me) would get up early and rush around getting dressed in her uniform (when I worked I had a uniform I wore). Then she would leave and be gone all day-that was kind of lonely. Then suddenly she lost her fur (my hair loss with chemo). And she got skinny and pale. Then I noticed she looked different, she lost a body part (my boob). She doesn't wear that uniform anymore and she is home more (job loss). Then she would be gone for a few hours each day, not all day like before (volunteer activities after retirement). Now she is home ALL THE TIME and she wears her sweatpants everyday (COVID restrictions). Humans are weird." ----- I guess I am silly for thinking about this stuff.

SondraF— in your pocket for your move. Moving is stressful but I am hoping that stress turns into a good kind of stress, one that brings excitement over the “new”.

Hey Mae, Tanya, Mel, Candy, Mara, Dodgers, Santa, Minnie, Sondra, and all the rest...Happy Sunday. Is it Sunday? Just kidding. But there were a few days this week I had to look at the iPad to see what day it is.
I attend church service online too but it isn’t quite the same. I miss seeing everyone. I miss shopping, going out to eat, and strolling around anywhere really. I have certainly taken all of those things for granted. No more. I will be SO happy when I can go back into Home Goods. Love that store. I haven’t been out of my house for the last two weeks, and I can feel my eyes glazing over. And lazy...oh my goodness. My butt has grown bigger than ever!!
The one light in my otherwise dull life is that Sunday night has the best TV shows...Belgravia, Call the Midwives, Outlander, and World on Fire....love all of these...

Aw....forgot BevJen, Moomala, Moth, Philly, and Mary Jane. All our peeps! Happy Sunday!

BooBoo~ I want to go to homegoods also! I love that store. And I agree with what you said. No more not doing things for me too. I enjoy wandering through stores alone and just people watching... I have half of my Christmas shopping finished. ! That I’m proud of. For sure!

Minnie~ hi there sweet woman. Hope all Is well in Spain. I e has enough of lock down crap here. My dh is on mask making missions. He can sew also. Amazing. He can look at something and poof he can make it happen. Always good to see you. Stay safe

Candy you are not weird to think your cats wonder why you are at home all the time. They can tell when something is different. My cats are on their own schedules, when they want food, when they nap, when they get the frenzies etc etc etc.
I am staying home since the weather is so crappy. Decided to walk 20 mins after meals today since i am sitting around listening to Mr Mercedes audiobook. I started watching the series on TV but did not finish it and apparently, it is better to read the Bill Hodges trilogy before finishing If It Bleeds. I also love audiobooks because I can listen while I am making a few pennies at my earning sites which is nice.
In anyones pocket if they require it and hope everyone has a decent weekend

Mel,
You should be proud. Now that’s what I call making good use of time! I waited until Christmas Eve once to do all of my shopping because I thought I’d get the best deals. I did get a few, but I won’t be trying that again anytime soon. Can you say NIGHTMARE?
I sure wish I could have met your hubby. What a guy. I have such respect for men who don’t let their gender determine what they do or are good at in life. Your man bakes and sews. Seriously, that’s awesome. A sign of a man who knows who he is!

The first one. Now he’s making more. They are awesome and fit wonderfully! I had extra fabric from when we made mastectomy pillows for the hospital and doctors. So we put it to good use. You can’t get elastic anywhere so I found an old pair of sweat pants, and cut it out of the pants. Then we cut strips out of it and had the elastic for ears.

Wow, half of the Christmas shopping done, that is fantastic. Also love that your husband is making masks, a pretty pattern from the looks of it too. Glad you are able to work together on it.
I stick to gift cards as does most of my family. Last year's Christmas was strange as it was the first Christmas without her. It was strangely not sad through the whole holiday though I was emotional Christmas Eve and fainted at the dinner table Christmas day. If they invite me this year, I will have to get up and move around a bit so I do not get to hot and spend Christmas Eve on my own. Pretty sure I can handle it this year.

Did a little fishing today too, lol

Mae, what a relaxing way to spend the day in your pool and beautiful weather on top of it. Wonderful.

Mae, what's for dinner, the fish you caught 😂?
Micmel, your hubbies masks are very good. I made some too for myself and my hubby, then made some more for neighbours. It's quite easy, easier using a machine though.
Candy, you can write days in your life from the viewpoint of your cat, could be funny!
My treatment week, Tuesday bloods etc. Not bothered by it. I only hate the scans.
Best to everyone x

I want to swim with Mae. Lol
That’s some isolation I can handle.... really looks spectacular I’d enjoy every second. So jealous. How hot is it ?
Minnie~he does use the machine. He does a good job. One thing. I know for sure. Someone gave me an Angel when they allowed me to love Him. I feel very lucky. He’s making my sister one now. She didn’t have one. So she’s thrilled. I may go on another hunt to find more elastic.

Oh Illimae - so glad to see you relaxing in the water & the sun. Great idea to get a pool. I can't keep up with this thread but I lurk just to see how you're doing. You made my weekend.

Minus~You just post your feelings! Nothing to keep up! Just post how you’re doing and or what you’re doing. What a sweet thing to say to Mae!

Mel- Love the mask !!! I have a church friend that sews and I bought a few masks from her for me and my sisters and brother. Wish I could sew.
Mae- Looks relaxing !!!
Minnie- In your pocket for treatment and bloods. I am not a writer--not good at it. But I do wonder what my kitty thinks of us humans. He is 10 years old and I have had him since he was 3 months old. We are like roommates. He knows how to turn on the kitchen light himself. I will turn out all the lights at night and go to bed and if he is not ready for bed, he will turn the kitchen light back on and play. I have never had a cat like him.

It was sunny and 86 degrees today.
Hi Minus and thank you!
Shout out to my wonderful DH who painted my toenails a shiny aqua blue last night 😁

Definitely a keeper! So sweet to see such love. You have a great dh Mae. So happy for you. You guys in that pool together is priceless. I hope to see many a photos of your interesting critter cams this year if you get to the cabin! Rest up and relax. Feet up cool Color ! Way to go DH!

Mae, that is a talented husband you have for sure. Awesome.
0 -
Illimae, that is so awesome that you and dh could make a fun day even with all the limitations. Your photos brought some happiness to my heart.
Like MinusTwo I feel I can’t keep up here. So I lurk in to reassure myself that people are doing ok.
Sondra, it’s great you are feeling good! Pace yourself. Moving is so tiring. Eyes on the prize!
Candy, what?! You hadn’t been reading the Cats cats cats thread? I’m glad santabarbarian straightened you out. I often end my BCO sessions reading that thread, to walk away with a smile. My cats always tell me what they are thinking. Mostly it is, “I want you to stop working and sit down so I can get on your lap now.”
Booboo, Mel, my last Grand Day Out (last as in most recent and also as in feels like there will be no more days out) I went to Home Goods for the first time. Had a great time puttering, bought a few pretty things. I should have got the items I thought my kid would like but I thought I could go back after confirming with the photos! It was a nice day. I went to a pho place for lunch. Ah yes, I remember going places...
I wake up every day with great plans to do all sorts of housework, unpacking, gardening, etc. and then end up congratulating myself on doing one load of laundry and watering the pots. C’est la vie stage iv! One of my new roses, still in its pot, bloomed today for the first time and it is the sweetest, purest, light pink! I am a sucker for pink roses. And peach ones, too.
