Grannax~ you're so beautiful, your beautiful hair and that smile makes my heart warmed. That little cutie patooty next you, should love selfies, because she is amazingly beautiful and adorable, smile that lights up a room!! I am so thrilled to see the stairs picture. We have one of those every year also. This year i wonder how on earth they would even fit on the stairs togther. They are all grown up now, but we still do it. I love the matching pajamas you gave them. Talk about specially adorable !!! I love you guys and how you share with me!
That is what this thread is all about. Our. Families our lives and loves. I want to wrap my arms around you Grannax, when you mentioned your DH, my heart swelled and I felt your need to have him with you and that wonderful family you have. There is no replacement, but maybe now, he's the guideful hand making your MBC respond! That's what I believe. You're all so special to me here... there are no words really. I love being able to have my sisters here, to share stories and feelings exactly like the selfie and those precious grandchildren, who obviously feel like you're their center. I can see it in the eyes and smile of your precious granddaughter! You're amazing, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANNAX!!!!!🍾🌈🎂🍭🥃🍰🎈🎈🎈🛍🎁🎉🎊🎈🎈🎈we love you! Enjoy your day with your son and family ! Lynnwood~you're a very important part of this thread, we adore you as well. You have no idea how much I smile when I read that this thread has helped you!! It makes me feel like I belong. Makes me feel like whoever walks in the door here next is always welcome! I am worrying about Nan. It's been tooo long since she's checked in and I am worrying. I get attached to you all and feel like a protective bear mom lol even though I am only 47, I get protective of my crowd. I don't want anyone anywhere to ever feel like they have no place to be heard or, can't find their online support home. I know everyone thread hops. For me. I don't. If I find it important I'll add to it, and I post on dogs, because I love dogs lol I already know what I can read on google or I ask my nurse friends. But here's where I stay because here, it's not about all cancer all the time. It is about family. Here we leave the cancer on the shelf for a while, and we bring out what really matters. Friendship, love,family and supportive online family here that we have built! You Lynnwood are An important part of that for me! You all are. Much love ~M~

Grannax, I am willing to bet that no one but you will care if the vacuuming gets done. Relax and enjoy the day. I am sorry that your DH cannot be with you on such special days. I know that nothing will heal the loss that you feel. I do believe that his spirit and love live on through you, your children, and your grandchildren. He had a big part in forming your life and theirs, and he bestowed the love of Christmas, family and life upon each of you. He is still there with you. Enjoy the special days with your family. Blueshine, Congratulations for the new grandchild. Every new life reminds me of how precious life is. It is full of joys and tragedies and many plain, ordinary happenings. We all welcome the happy moments and suffer through the sad ones. I have learned that even the most ordinary parts of life can be full of wonder. Sorry for being so sappy. Sigh.

50's~Lynne~ I always love seeing you here. Your words are always so supportive and kind. I always think you have such a big heart and a wonderful way with words. I really hope you will be having a great holiday with be ones you love as well. My DSS, is coming today as well, my DH is driving down to get him. Round trip it will Be close to 8 hoursof driving. They won't be back until like 10:00 pm tonight. So this Christmas Eve will be a little different I suppose. But he is such a good father, he is the man of my dreams. Hi all, I arrived very late last night due to a de-icing delay in Denver and the 1 hour stop over turned into 3 but all is well. There was a bag of gifts on the bed and DH got to the hotel soon after. Today we slept in, had lunch and did a little shopping in Chinatown. Tomorrow is the beach party if the host isn’t too sick, they had something going around recently, we’ll see but having a good time regardless:)

Mae~ I am relieved to hear you have arrived safely. I have been watching the weather. It is now currently snowing here actually, the northeast just may have a white Christmas. I know that around the people we know there has been a mean cold and a stomach thing going around. I have been washing my hands like mad. I am hoping I won't get it. So far DH and I are the only ones who haven't gotten it yet. I am crossing my fingers and toes I don't get it! Keep washing your hands also. Okay here is the part where I say AWwwwwwweeee, to the presents on the bed, that is romantic! I am glad you have arrived safely in your DH's arms.
The weather is quite nasty. My DH is driving in it right now coming back from Maryland from getting his DS, so he can spend Christmas with us,all togther our little blended family. Works so well. Today is my DH's 52 birthday he looks 40 and I'm not kidding. Some days I have to pinch myself because I can't believe he chose me to love. He so wonderful. Sounds like to me Mae, you also have your Best friend and keeper!!! I couldn't be happier. Did you have Chinese food in China town!?? It looks pretty large. Also looks like someplace I would love to shop with you! I am also happy to hear you're getting a lot of good rest. You little energizer bunny. You keep going and going and going. My dog today!!!( not really my dog lol but an example of what he looked like when I found him!) He got into the stocking stuffers. And stocking stuffers means lots of chocolate and nerds.Needless to say he isn't feeling well today. Already two craps and and throw up a rainbow of skittles. Poor fella isn't feeling well, gotta keep an eye on him. I can't believe another year is about to end. Rest well everyone! Good night ~M~0 -
Thank you ladies for your sweet words about my husband.
Just a short update on my day. First, I will say my DD is OK.. BUT, she and her DH spent the day at the ER, instead of here with family. She was loading up the car to come to my house, tripped on a piece of plywood and fell hard into their fence. Her arm looked like it was broken and she also hit her head right where her shunt is. She was bleeding and frightened.Her arm is not broken, just very bruised and swollen. She does have a mild concussion but no concerning symptoms or findings on CT.
They did come over to eat and open gifts. She seemed fine, just bruised and exhausted. What a day! I'm so thankful it wasn't worse. PTL. Praying tomorrow's plan will go as planned. 🎄🎅🎂🎁💞

Grannax~ Thank goodness your daughter was not seriously hurt.That is truly scary, I mean that poor girl has had enough to deal with and so have you! I hope that since she still felt like celebrating was a very good sign that shows she is one tough cookie. Maybe she gets it from her mother !!? I think that maybe so!!!!! Good that the CT showed no problems. So much better knowing that she didn't break anything. That is not a picnic either. Maybe we should all just stay inside until Christmas is over. I am now waiting for my DH to come back from getting his DS. Should be here soon. So soon it will be goodnight. Much love ~M~

The home on wheels is something that DH and I have always wanted to do together. It seems like a world away and you can go anywhere in it. The bongo playing would have been relaxing and soothing! Lita, Bluebird) to be the c word free!! And trust me! We can do it. The support we have here for each othe Ian unmatched friendship that's no one else can get. You Claudia are one of my first people here on this thread. You and Mae, keetmom go way back. Nan? Worried soooo much for. She hasn't answered and she always does. I'm scared. Patty peppermint. I hope that everyone had a nice holiday and Or Christmas, whatever your chosen celebration may be. I had an over the moon Christmas. I had always wanted this special wedding band, to go with my engagement ring. I didn't want and ordinary traditional diamond, I wanted it to be different. My favorite is saphire and diamonds together. My engagement ring he got me was exquisite and I love it. So this Christmas I was opening a big box and a tiny little box was inside and the wedding band I have wanted forever was in the box. It matches perfectly. I am so thrilled. He searched and found it , I had only Shown him once and he got it for me! I'll attach a pic of my set at the end. I also got a huge puzzle set (Mae) Thomas kinkade ten puzzle assortment in one box! I had asked for puzzles. I love them but I had trouble finding some good ones. Thrilled with that also! He also got me the Game Of Thrones book series. Which I am thrilled beyond measure to read. I am glued to the puzzles and the books. He also got me a set of 36 gel pens.....and a great new perfect coloring book for my days. To keep me occupied. My kids got my channel perfume, for me which is expensive, so I was glad they went in half. My DSS got me a stark keychain and a huge stark banner from the game of thrones, along with a throne ornament and the three dragons ornaments for the tree. I am Game of Thrones nut in case you hadn't guessed lol I had a beautiful Christmas. Some nice new socks, now since I have begun to feel my feet, from the neuropathy from the chemo!
Being with my kids and DH, is everything I could ever ask for. It was a wonderful time. We all spent the entire day together. When I walked down in the morning my DH had brought everything down and put it around the tree. He let me sleep, and woke me up with coffee and cookies. It was so beautiful and romantic. And he said "Merry Christmas my life."I immediately started crying. It was a romantic moment, one illl never forget. We are going to renew our vowels when my DSS graduates. It was the most romantic thing anyone had ever mentioned suggested or wanted. (Besides the kids being born and or the Initial engagement) but I had a love filled, laughter filled wonderful 🎄 Christmas! I hope everyone else was surrounded by those they love and may the happiness, last throughout the year. Much love ~M~

Pretty ring set and love the puzzles micmel. My road trip down memory lane has landed us and in San Diego tonight. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed eucalyptus trees and mission style architecture. Having fun but it’s been a long day of driving, I’m out for the night.

Lynn, two years old? Time has really flown by these last two years! I can remember her birth,like it was yesterday! You were going through so,so much,at the time. Her birth was a bright spot,in a very scary moment. She is a little blessing.

Chelle~ Hello lovely lady! So nice to see you. I hope you had a Merry Christmas!! It was a fun day, but it went way too fast. I did enjoy myself with my kids. But my DH is my sweet babe. He is so thoughtful and kind. I'll be taking my first trip to Maryland since diagnosis, my DSS has become an Eagle Scout, and we are having the celebration ceremony for him on the 6th of January! Of course his x hag will be there. Gross! She's still an ass and always will be! We are going on our 15th year, think by now She would have found her own person! But no such luck! She's still a gnat gnat buzzing and buzzing around. But soon DSS will be graduated and then it will be fewer and fewer we are hoping ! Much love for all ~M~. Missed you Chelle!! Thank you Micmel...I'm hoping Jai's girl friend will eventually be his girlfriend again! They broke up a few months ago but have rediscovered each other as best friends. I think this is the way to go - start as friends and let it develop from there. I have my fingers crossed because I really love this girl.

I can't help wishing I could have had more children when Christmas comes around but it wasn't to be. My son is the love of my life. I cut the apron strings long ago but we're soul mates and share thoughts all the time so I'm very fortunate.
I'm concerned about Lita, Micmel. Have you heard any news? I thread hop from this one to the Ibrance one and the Bone Mets but I haven't been on the last few days.
Sending hugs to all those who are finding Christmas difficult. I have to say that I did. Christmas Eve was wonderful but I spent Christmas Day alone. There are a lot of people worse off though and Christmas seems to magnify it.

Claudia, your family is gorgeous! When do you plan on making the big move? We are hoping to at least get a settlement out of this nightmare! Maybe it will be enough to stay right here,I would just love that! Colorado is home to me. I love the cool,crisp air and the beautiful mountains. America the beautiful was written while sitting at the summit of pikes peak in Colorado Springs. It really is nice here!

The very worst thing about this disease, is the hurt it causes our loved ones. I have been on both sides of cancer. It is so much worse to watch a loved one suffer! I wish I could heal us all! And take away the hurt!!
