Minnie~oh Minnie in shorts! I am like Lynne (50's) and want you to enjoy every single second basking in that delightful sun! I am living vicariously through you amazing ladies, traveling, having grand babies, and living life. I loved your photos. I went around showing them to my family. They all agreed that fish is looking at us !! What a photo! Great work Minnie! We love your sunny weather and sunny spirit you bring here to us! Much love and big hugs!! ~M~

Grannax~ I have also had flashbacks of being a young girl with a little Shepard puppy! Her name was Shep! She was the best dog I've ever had. Following everrywhere! My ❤️Swells mountain size seeing that puppy Claudia! Nice wood floors also btw! That was from my DH! I wish we could all spend week together and really share sometime like we do here.
On the DH front, my DH and I talk about everything. His feelings, my feelings. Everything. I don't take the silent bullshit and he doesn't either. Maybe just walk up and hug him and say hey. I'm worried about you. And I love you. And walk away. That way he knows it's about him only and that you have noticed him , like Lynne says, sometimes they don't even realize. They get scared too. Thy can't fix it for us. Look at the example Lynne gave. Her most important person in the world to her was ill. Which is exactly what he may be thinking as well! Love is a funny thing sometimes ! Just hug him and love him , kisses, little touches. HoldHis hand. Unless you have this bad cold going around, which I believe I am battling. Vent to us when you're down. I come here and cry and vent, so the time I have with him alone can be special. And deep. Much love ~M~

Over the river (Colorado) and through the woods to the Grand Canyon we go!
illimae reporting live from the Grand Canyon.... it's cool but to me it's just a big hole in the ground. I'm not disappointed, I've always felt that way about it, lol

Mae~I think Colorado is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been! I have never been to the Grand Canyon! It looks lovely ! Wow you are a traveling woman this week! Good reporting. On traffic and all. Well done! It really is something I would love to see! Not to mention. In an awesome air stream! What an anniversary, and I am sure the dining has been delicious as well!! I would love to travel again! I am going down to Maryland this weekend for my DSS eagle court of honor! Big deal. The x hag will be there and i don't want to look like bad! That's my stress. I wish I was in that airstream seeing those sights ! Love love love the pics of the Grand Canyon! Thank you for sharing so much! Much love ~M~

ok it's like 11degrees here and we did get snow. Only an inch and a half, but just enough for people to forget how to drive. It's amazing. Thy just freak out! It's certainly is the kind of chill that goes right through you ! I hope everyone sleeps and is warm and safe and sound. Chelle, miss you hun but glad you got your cards! I would be interested be in corresponding with any of you who feel exchanging cards with someone who is going through what you're going through, And a personal touch of the friendships being made. I am all for it. I think it adds the feeling that we truly are friends. If you don't need it or feel that way, hey no biggie at all, just a suggestion because I do like so send cute cards and notes. I've been searching for a while for some cute little note cards that I can write. I love to send notes. It makes me feel like I have something to do, and I enjoy all of you so very much. But anyhoo! Chell glad you got yours. I didn't know how long it took to get there. Ok off to bed. My son got me a spa myst machine for bed time. And I have lavender in now, I am going to read and go to bed. I got a nice collection today if essential oils that my hubby suggested I get. I love it. So relaxing. I recommmed them highly! Much love goodnight ! ~M~

Spa myst changes colors as it lets out scented calming steam. Also trying to keep others germs away! I love it!! Along with my flashlight, bose speaker, and my eye drops for dry eyes and all the other crap onmy side table! Gn!! ~M~

Hi Minnie~Our on site correspondence has been magnificent! Where in the world is our illimae today!!!!! Find out soon! Hope all is well. I have caught some form of this dreaded cold lol it's freezing outside and the highest temperature we will see this week is only supposed to be 25 degrees a low of 1.!! I know our far northeast ladies have it worse. I was laughing at thinking of Lynne(50's) saying she peels on and off ten layers of clothing. Yikes!! Keep safe!!! Keep warm ! Much love ~M~

Greetings earthlings! Where in the world is illimae? Roswell!
We thought we wouldn't make it before they closed early due to travel time, then we had to stop twice for a coolant leak but we did it, exactly 3 minutes before closing time.

Mae~lol that looks like so much fun! I am so glad you made it in time, and your coolant woes are resolved!! That looks like a really neat place to visit. I would really like to see spaceships and it looks like a space man creeping up behind you!! Your DH, made it look like he played the part nicely! The one looks like it's like laying in a tanning bed! I am enjoying watching your experiences as you go through them! Thank you for sharing, you really look like you're enjoying yourself! Please watch that coolant level and remain safe driving with your airstream!! Be safe, stay sweet and smiling. Enjoy every second with your DH! You guys are awesome ! Happy new year to you my friend! Happy new year 🎊🎈🎆🥂🍾🎊💃🏼🥃🍷🍹🍺🍸🛸🗽🎇🔮🕯🎈🎉🕯🚐💫🤩🤪 ~M~

geez, sometimes trying to get support on here or the Facebook Ibrance site is like walking a minefield! Took my first Ibrance tonight and it left a really bitter taste in the back of my mouth. Posted here on the Ibrance and on Facebook and got made fun of on Facebook and the lady who answered me on the Ibrance thread started the sane thing!!! Asked if I chewed it! Really!!! Do I look like a friggin moron???? Sorry but sometimes people are so cruel!!!
0 -
Gracie~I am sorry honey. I can guarantee you're not a moron! Sometimes the outside of the pill can taste pretty bitter. Next time have the flavored drink ready already in your mouth like Gatorade, which is what my choice is for murilax and taking the ibrance. So far since I have chosen to take it with a strong flavored drink it seems to have subsided. Yogurt is thick though I would think that would definitely help Once in your stomach, so that is a good idea. I would just try a strong flavored drink like Gatorade. And put the Gatorade in your mouth first and pop the pill in right after. I have made the mistake of getting the damn thing stuck in my throat and burping up the sour powder. So it can definitely happen!! Maybe that other lady was just joking, but no one wants to take crappy tasting medicine. I would want solutions also! Hugs to you my friend! Much love ~M~

Thanks Mel Hugs!!!

Hi Gracie, I just saw your post on the Ibrance thread and answered it before I checked in here. A moron you are not. If you did read my response, you know that I said that I take the pill with a full glass of water because I am always afraid that it will get stuck in my throat. I don't really taste the pill but that is probably because of all the water.
Mae, stories about Roswell have always intrigued me. My DH and I are thinking about seeing the Grand Canyon next fall. I find the beauty of nature to be breathtaking. You certainly are seeing a lot. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
Micmel, I hope your cold doesn't last too long or turn into something more serious.
Lynne, I hope you are enjoying yourself up in the lakes region. Do you spend much time up there in the summer? It is really beautiful there.
My DH and I are staying home and relaxing in our nice, warm house tonight. Some of the outdoor New Year's Eve celebrations have been curtailed due to the frigid temperatures and wind chill. I am happy to stay home anyway.
I wish everyone a Happy New Year. May 2018 be good for all of us.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Lynn I didn’t mean your post and I really did appreciate your advice 👍 I had two women on the Facebook site who were having quite the laugh at my expense about the Ibrance leaving a bad taste and then the first person in the Ibrance thread here started by saying almost the exact same thing that was said on Facebook. I was just upset because places like that and like this site should be places where we can post and get support instead of someone making fun of us.
Thanks again for your support and your suggestions, I truly do appreciate them

Lynne (50's) you were correct about the nasty tasting powder if you burp it out. Gross. I haven't heard though of anyone having a taste of it linger. You're always so kind and thoughtful in your postings.
Gracie,
If it keeps happening, I would just mention it to your doctor, especially if it seems to be bothering you. Maybe try the stronger tasting juice or Gatorade. Just no grapefruit!! I hope. The ibrance kicks some major butt for you my friend! I am so hopeful! I haven't had too many bad side effects other than a sore mouth, I bruise easier and fatigue is real, but I know you, you don't seem to be still too long, which is pretty awesome. Busy person you are! I hope you get many many many ......years from ibrance ❣️ ~M~

Thanks so much Mel! Hoping I have few side effects too! I never thought about Gatorade, that’s a great suggestion. And I think I won’t place it in the back of my tongue and then he a drink...I think that’s what I did wrong. But will contact my onc if it continues!
Hugs! And Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all! Haven't been posting but read every day. Had a wonderful Christmas with my family. Our sons got together and paid for 3 nights at the hotel we always stay at while at the shore. ( Wildwood Micmel, , you probably know) . The beach is a very healing place for me and we had been discussing that we would be unable to afford to go this year since I had to stop working. They also said that mothers and Father's Day will provide the cash for food and spending money. How wonderful. We all went together last year and it was wonderful. I won't lie if I say that this holiday season has been very emotional for me. I cried as I watched the ball drop last night, wondering what the new year will bring. I will turn 58 on Thursday and wonder if I will make it to 59. The cold weather is very isolating as well, it's 7 here. Pajama day for me

if we're truthful, I think all of us wonder what 2018 will bring. On January 11 I'll know my scan results, so I don't have long to wait. Eleven more days. My goal is to get all my Christmas decor put away, no small feat at my house.
Today would have been my husband's 74th birthday. Yes, mine is Chistmas day, his was New Year's day. My DD and DSIL are coming over for our traditional ham and bean soup and cornbread. Of course, we used to have a party but my DS and family won't be able to come over today.
They put an offer on a house! They have been renting, since they moved, to see if they liked the schools, job etc. They do, so they have been waiting for just the right home to come on the market. It's going to need extensive renovation but it's in such a nice area with a extra big lot, it will be doable. And, they can stay in the rental until renovating is finished. They won't know for sure till Tuesday if the owners take their offer. Looks like moving to a new home will happen for them in 2018. Secretly, I wish they would build a guest house and let me move in. Ha
It's still cold here but no snow or ice. At least it feels like winter. I think I'll build a fire today. Happy New Year to all of you. 🎉💞

Lynnwood~Happy New Year to you! I watched the ball drop as well, I can only hope for us all that this is the year, they make even more headway, with our treatments and less toxins for our bodies to deal with. I know wildwood very well! I went there for my senior class trip! The beach is sooo huge and long!! What a nice retreat for calming your mind and soul. Just the sound of the waves alone! I'm sorry you had a hard time thinking of the future, for us all really., but honestly. I believe we are all going to be here a lot longer then we realize. We are here for each other, so if you're going through it, we are going through it with you! When that ball dropped my family and you all were on my mind. Sending strength for good scans for everyone and a year where we can all just breathe! Much love to you. ~M~

Micmel, the beach is VERY long! Now they have a beach taxi, you call the phone number and tell them what street you're on. A open backed jeep comes and you throw your stuff in the back and off you go! Best $2.00 ever spent. When you're done just call and they bring you back. We have been going there since we both were kids and have taken our kids there since they were infants. Many happy memories there.

Grannax~I agree with you and Happy Belated birthday! Congrats on them putting in a bid for a new house. That's exciting stuff! My mom has always said she wants me to get a house with a guest building for her and my step father, since she's getting older now, she's realizing that she is going to needs help! She lives in Mississippi and used to drive the Elvis Presley🕺tour 🚌 bus for Graceland! That was when she could walk and drive! Hugs to you on this difficult day! I am thinking of you today! Big big hugs and much love. I am battling this cold! Yuck!!!! Love to all! ~M~

Lynwood, What a wonderful Christmas present, and the Mothers and Fathers Day gifts, too. They thought of everything. I find the ocean to be calming, powerful, and amazing all at once. I often tell my DH that I was born to live on the ocean. (Unfortunately, I do not.) That $2 taxi drive is quite a deal as well as a convenience. I have never heard of anything like that.
Grannax, belated happy birthday. I am sorry that I am late with that wish. Christmas Day and New Years Day? That is very special. This must be a bittersweet day for you. I know you miss your husband, and I am glad that you will have family there to share the day with you. You must have wonderful memories that fill your heart and mind today. I will be thinking about you. I hope your DS's offer on the house is accepted. Is the house anywhere near you? Taking on a renovation is challenging but well worth it. I hope to hear good news about your scans on the 11th. I will have scans on Friday (weather permitting).
Micmel, Take care of that cold. Drink lots of liquids and stay inside where it is warm. It is still very cold here today. I am tired of this already. We might have a heat wave on Wednesday, way up to the 20s before a potential snow storm hits. Then it is back to this frigid weather. I know most of the country is suffering from this extreme weather, too. Time for a January thaw.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Lynnwood~That is genius! What a good idea. Where was that all the summers I was there? lol my daughter loves it there and her significant other and her go every summer for a few nice days off. It is getting rather expensive! I remember so many summers walking the board walk. With not a care in the world. Now everyday has become some sort of challenge, from fighting colds, to now weather and freezing, who wants to go outside even! No one, no one wants to go to doctors appointments and no one Ever wanted to dance with cancer. Why do we have too? It makes even the simplest things for me melt me down. I am mentally weaker. I wish this never happened to us my friend. It's such a Hard way to live. Sometimes I wonder why bad things happen to good people. I would like to go to wild wood even now. Beachfront inside watching the ocean. At least there. You can look and see no end for real. Which is how I used to look at my life. Knowing I could have 50plus years to live and love my DH and kids. Now I worry about the release of a favorite hbo series, will I be alive to watch it ? We all have those fears. We must help each other through our dark times. God knows...we will have them ! Much love to all ~M~

Lynne(50's)~I am starting to think it's settling in my ear! Some fullness going on and a lot of nose blowing and pain in the ear. Not a terrible amount of coughing. But maybe sinus infection! I'm going to see my PCP, I know I need meds, but I won't have the ear drops. I am a whimp with them! I am going to rest as much as I can! I have a big weekend coming up, Saturday Is my DSS court of honor, From becoming an Eagle Scout. So it's a big deal. 11 years of scouting. I need to be there! It's a big family deal. I can't be sick. Ha ha at that! It was already going to be hard to travel. 😞 I don't really want to go. I hate this weather. It's only supposed to be like 7! I mean seriously, what am I just learning to count? 7!!!! Yuck! I have to figure out what to wear with one boob. Very difficult! I live comfortably! On purpose! Ugh! Stressful week ahead for us all I see. Your scans are important thingto note here. I am with you all and thinking of you. And sending big hugs. Much love ~M~

Micmel, hope you feel better soon! This cold weather is horrible. I left the house yesterday and it was the first time since Tuesday that I went out. No desire to go anywhere. Eagle Scout is a very big deal! Congratulations! Hope you are feeling well enough to enjoy. I know what you mean about finding things to wear. I have gained so much weight and nothing fits. I have the brace for my foot and it fits in the sneakers but not dressy shoes. One of the doctors that I worked with is retiring and a group of nurses want to take him out to dinner. They invited me and I amalready thinking how am I going to do this?? Lynn, I love the ocean and live about an hour and a half away. We take our chairs and sit for hours and hours. VERY healing to me, the sun, smells and ocean.
