dutchiris, thinking of you. Who needs this additional crap. I'm glad they found whatever it is and sounds like you're getting excellent treatment. Big hugs

Mel, it is sunny here. I walked to the hospital, just waiting for my drugs. Broken sleep as usual before a morning appointment. Will walk home as well and if I am up to it, will walk again this afternoon.

Excuse us for barging into the living room, but because it is paid ($135), we're posting this here, in case anyone may be interested.
There is an opportunity for individuals and caregivers of individuals with HER2 positive MBC who are on or have received two different lines of treatment in the MBC setting to participate in a 90-minute phone interview. Eligible caregivers and participants will be compensated $135 for their participation in the one-time phone interview. Learn more here.

Dang Dutch, I’m sorry to hear you have to go through all that. Hopefully it’s not cancer and you won’t need chemo.

dutchiris, I'm so sorry. I wish you didn't have to wait three weeks, but know that you are being held up with thoughts and prayers.

Saddened to hear that Carole Chaoui who was a marathoner and runner dealing with two Stage 4 cancers passed away last year in August. She was always inspiring to me when I first was officially dx'd Stage IV. She made me feel better about my situation and inspired a lot of my walking. I know we all go but she was able to raise so much money. I think I will keep walking today in her honour. My condolences to her family and friends.

Okay, ladies, some prayers needed for my DIL this evening. She is 3 1/2 weeks out from her scheduled C section with our grandson. With her last pregnancy, she developed preeclampsia very quickly and they had to take the baby early-- our granddaughter is fine, and soon turns 2. When DIL went for her OB appointment today, her blood pressure was very high. OB told her she needed to go to the hospital for some tests. Depending upon what they think is going on, they may take the baby tonight. DIL is scared, since this is what happened with last pregnancy, and of course, my son is quite frantic.
Thanks much.

BevJen, it is good she's being monitored. Hope they can get the BP down and give baby more time to hang out in tummy. I'll be thinking of you.
guys, I think I met a cancer faker on twitter! She claims to be a stage 4 "survivor" on not treatment now but pressed can't say where she had mets. I *suspect* she was earlier stage with maybe a positive lymph node. Or who knows. But honestly, most cancer peeps are all too willing to talk about their diagnosis and treatments etc etc. but she's all mum about it...except having it be a big part of her bio & website. Anyway. I've seen some dodgy things on social media before with gofundmes etc but I think this is the most blatant I've seen yet. Otoh, someone else commented that her boss had outright faked her entire cancer - like made it all up. omg, people!
My bloodwork came back mostly ok so looks like my chemo is on tomorrow & I'm happy about that. I've done some knitting, some reading, watched an episode of a show, caught up on a podcast, & now I'm going to do my Zumba workout. I've also driven for 3h as I went to my lab & then gave dd a lift to work. That does suck up time (though I use it to listen to podcasts or audiobooks & I'm glad I'm back to driving. I hated being so sick that I couldn't drive...)

Congrats BevJen on the new grandbaby !!!
Not much here today. Rainy yesterday and today. Just going to read and piddle around the house.
Moth- Why would anyone fake Stage 4 cancer !!!! Some really sick people out there !!!
I got a text last night from a friend I have not heard from in a couple of years. She was messaging me to ask if someone she met with my last name was related to me. She asked how I was doing. We texted for a bit. After we hung up I got to thinking about how when I heard the words "You have cancer" in July of 2017 my life changed forever. It is like I was on a road of life and BAM the road branched off and I cannot ever get back on that previous road again. Even if I stay stable for a while yet (I pray a long time) I cannot get that old life back. The road I am traveling on is far different from the old road. I know others without cancer could go thru this too--- an accident that leaves someone maimed or paralyzed for example. Their life will never be the same. Just weird to think about it. A life altering situation. Why would anyone want to fake that.

Candy - I know what you mean, I picture it in a similar manner. Like everyone else is on the paved highway and I'm off bouncing through a field in a completely different direction, trying to avoid potholes or wrecking my suspension while the car slowly but surely falls apart.
Moth - I've seen a few posts around in various places where someone claims they knew someone who survived Stage IV and then it comes out it really was just a lymph node spread. There is certainly a special lingo for mets ladies and if they can't engage then definitely suss!
Bev - congrats on a new grandchild!
Dutchchris- hang in there - we are all here to listen.

Moth~Faking stage four cancer is crazy. That is something Ive never heard of. Its bizarre and honestly should be a crime. How mean and awful. People don’t make sense sometimes.
I got my new doseage to start. I’m a little
Nervous , since I have been so stable.0 -
Mel, hoping the new dose helps your side effects and you can feel better and can do some things you enjoy. Especially with the vaccines rolling out. Next scan still in 1 year, even though you are lowering dose? It is the same med though.
Our State announced opening eligibility for vaccine to all starting April 12. But, there will still will be a wait to get the vaccine amount that is needed. I just want all to get the vaccine. Some of my circle of friends/ family still not wanting to take the vaccine. Sigh.

Oh welcome to the world little Jack! We have a new grandbaby in our living room! Glad mom is doing well; preeclampsia is awful but we're better at managing it now. Hope they can be together & home soon.
Mel, your MO sounds awesome and I'm sure you will find just the exact balance of disease control & QoL.
chemo day for me - need to leave after an early lunch. I'm just about to make a list of things I want to do in the morning.

Candy~yes scan in one year. Blood work in six months. Xgeva in three months. (Every 3) and from 125 mg of ibrance to 100mgs of ibrance. I’m hoping for a difference. It could be a game changer for me. I’m still hoping against hope I can see a difference. Some said yes. Others said no. So fingers crossed 🤞.
I had to pre register for my covid vaccine. Which I’ve done. My dh’s boss got his second dose yesterday and he is knocked off of his feet. A grown man down. I’m afraid of this vaccine ladies. I’m not gonna lie here. 😔
