Kamboka - What is a bottlebrush? I've never heard of it. Sorry, I don't know anything about crepe myrtle.

The tree cutters came late but the ole magnolia is gone. The open space actually looks good. I'll get my new tree in a few weeks and my brother is coming down to help me plant it. He'll be bringing my mom to stay in FL for 2-3 weeks. She really enjoys thrifty shopping so we will be busy hitting them all.

Husband had 3 cluster headaches last night. He is hardly moving this morning.
0 -
Yikes, sorry to hear that. Didn't he start on a different medication? Isn't he scheduled for a follow up visit to discuss next options?
0 -
Petite1 - Oh, wow. I hope they can figure out how to help him soon!
Kamboka - That's nice that your mom will be coming down for a few weeks. Have a great time thrifting!

Good morning, ladies. It was a better night. He was out of sorts all day, but no headaches.

Went to an estate sale today and bought some nice glass including a really pretty perfume bottle for $18. I get home and realize that I left it there. I'm heading back there in the morning and hoping that they saved it for me or will give me a refund.

Kamboka, I did that once before at a neighborhood sale where tables are line up down the street. I bought several things paid for them. The seller put them in a baggie, gave me my change. I put the wallet in the tote and thought I put the baggie in, but not. I didn't didn't check until I was back home. It was a one day sale and an hour away. Oh well. LOL

got to the sale at 0900 and the lady asked me if I had checked my messages. She had called me to tell me that I left the bottle. I never remember to check my phone for messages as I don't get notifications. They had saved it for me. I managed to pick up a few other things at 50% today.

Petite1 - I'm glad he was headache free. I hope that continues.
Kamboka - That was so nice that the lady saved it for you and tried contacting you. Some people wouldn't have done that.
I've been really busy. Both kids are now home ALL THE TIME! My coworker is off this week so I am doing 2 jobs and I have decided to start selling on ebay again. Starting with stuff from around the house. I have over 80 Longaberger baskets and that doesn't include their pottery that I also have. I really like Longaberger but too many of them are just sitting in a closet so I will try and get rid of them. Plus other stuff that is just laying around. Contemplating getting into reselling on ebay part-time. Once the kids both are off to college in August, I hope to have more time, but we will see.
I had an appointment with my RO's PA. I really like him (more than the RO. LOL) and we spent more time talking about Disney (He loves Disney too) than the actual reason why I was there. LOL. He said everything looks good but I noticed my range of motion in my arm on my radiated side isn't as good as it used to be so I need to work on that. He also noticed it too. I don't have to see him for another year.

Kamboka, I am glad you were able to get the bottle.
mocame, One of my BFFs just to collect them and now selling the baskets off. She still spot them when we are out junking. She will buy small ones to resell. She says shipping the big ones is too expensive.
DH is still dealing with headaches, but got some THC gummies. He started taking them over the weekend and last night he slept through the night, without any headaches. Yay

petite1: Yah for THC gummies. I'm trying CBD for the neuropathy but don't think it's helping.
mocame: I picked up some small Longaberger plates. I had no idea about them but they seemed sturdy. I told my mom and the first thing she said was "oh, they make baskets". I've got a list started for the auction. I will have to drive it 2 1/2 hours to Tallahassee to the auction house. I can't wait to pare down so I can keep buying. I've got four estate sales lined up for this weekend.
I got a note from Mayo making my next MO appointment. Looks like they gave me a different MO. I'll see how that goes as I wasn't married to the last one. I'm glad you like your RO PA. I liked mine too. We talked a lot about nursing. Try to go back to do your PT exercises for the arm. I've been lucky and not had any range of motion problems.

Kamboka, it sounds like you are having fun. I am thinking about going to an Auction on the 13th. It is at Dudley's Auction on highway 41. I think it is Inverness or maybe Floral City. They also have online bidding. Check out the website.

petite1: I'll check out their site. Today, I was talking with an auction house in Tallahassee about my collectibles. They said they'd come and pick them up. I have a list of 140 something items. I can't believe I've accumulated so much stuff. Today the housekeeper crew came and a new girl broke one of my Rudolstadt vases. I paid 36 for it but it would have brought more than that at auction. Oh well.
The car insurance company called me today to say that my car was going to need another three weeks at the shop. It's already been a week. I'm having to pay out of pocket for the rental car since I didn't have the rider. in hindsight, I wish I had not filed a claim and just kept driving. It didn't look that bad. Between the deductable and the rental car, I'm out of too much.

Petite1 - I hope your husband's headache free nights continues! I can't imagine how draining that would be to get those headaches so often.
Kamboka - I hear rental cars are so expensive right now. Did your housekeeper offer to pay you for the vase?
0 -
Another headache free night. Yay.
0 -
petite1: sounds like the meds are working.
mocame: the housekeeper offered to pay but I think it was my fault. I try to put up my fragile things in a cabinet but I had it out on display. Besides, she just had a wreck this week and I know she doesn't have loads of money and then the accident.
I've got two consignments of coins out and I'm working on another auction house to take another consignment. The folks who will be taking my glassware said they would contact me tomorrow to arrange pick up. I've got five good estate sales lined up this weekend and one has loads of nice glassware. Can't wait.

So far, no headaches. He gets the symptoms that he is going to get one, watering eyes, change in breathing, change in gait, "electrical shocks" (what he calls it) seems like an involuntary movement, swelling to upper and lower eye lid on the left side, and trouble concentrating, but no headache. It still makes it difficult for him to do his usual routines. He doesn't want to go any where alone, just incase a spell comes on. He is sleeping a lot.

Petite1 - I'm glad he is headache free so far but his continued symptoms sound frustrating. Is there anything they can do to get rid of those symptoms?
Kamboka - Have fun at the estate sales. I started selling a few things on ebay and I have a lot more stuff to sell. I then bought a couple of things at our thrift shop at work that should sell on ebay. Oops! That doesn't help clean out my house! LOL!
Question for you ladies, Have either of you received your prescription for your AI and they changed the company that makes it? If so, have you had any changes in SEs since taking the medication from the new company? I got my Anastrozole refill a little over a week ago and they got it from a different company. On Thursday, I started getting increased joint/bone pain in my foot and just less able to move around like I did just 1 week ago. I'm not sure why all of the sudden this is happening but I have heard that a medication from different company can give different SEs. I'm going downhill quickly in that I can't walk normally but hobble/limp slowly now. Ugh.

petite1: The other symptoms do sound frustrating. Could some of them be the medications? I suppose the sleepiness is also from the meds. When is his next test or MD appointment?
mocame: Sorry you are having some side effects. I had a horrific time last Oct/'Nov but didn't ask CVS if they had changed manufacturers. I know a lot of folks on this site talk about having to change to a different manufacturers d/t the SEs. Ask your pharmacist and then maybe you can get it filled at another place to test the theory. Luckily, my inability to walk and stay coordinated ended in January. I hear that folks think it's the fillers in the pills that cause the problems.
One auction house from Tallahhasee is coming on Friday. After my three estates sales this morning, I came home to gather all my goodies for him to look at. I sent him a list and he said some of the glass might not sell well. I'm hoping he takes 90% so I don't have to put this things back. I think my list of over 175 items.

Kamboka - I hope they will take a lot of it. I have a few pieces of brand new crystal that I may try and sell on ebay because a local auction won't take glassware. He said it hasn't been selling well so he won't take it. I hope it's different in your area. I have listed 4 items (non-glassware) on ebay so far. I bought a lightbox to take pictures in because the lighting in our house is terrible. Yesterday I took about 120 pictures of things that I need to start listing. A lot more to go.
I may try and get tested for Lyme disease because of my sudden increase in joint/bone pain. Apparently ticks are really bad in our area right now. A friend of mine just got diagnosed and now our next door neighbor just got diagnosed after experiencing a lot of bone/joint pain. My husband is going to get tested too because he has been having problems wit his feet and shoulders. We have an acre of land and there are woods at the back of our property and it's lined on both sides with trees. We will see.

Kamboka, I was at an estate sale preview, yesterday. There was a lot of glass. I bought an old clutch bag that opens up to a square. I thought it was unique. It is leather and in pretty good condition. I will do some research and list it on ebay, if it is worth anything.
mocame, I have a refill coming up this week. I will let you know if they change manufacturers.
As for the headaches, he had one last night. The first in several days.
0 -
mocame: The auctioneer did say that some glass was not selling well. It's a shame as lead crystal is so pretty and it used to be worth a lot. I do have several pieces of that. What is a lightbox? I haven't had too much luck with Ebay but will try again if the fellow doesn't take some of my stuff. He also said he didn't really want silver plated. I have some nice SP pieces so I hope he will reconsider. I know I won't get much but you never know and I want to get rid of it.
About 10 years ago, I got Rocky Mt. Spotted fever. I was helping my dad wrangle cows to sell. I noticed a tick on me but he had not feed. A week or so later, I was sick. I never found out where I got bit. I had traveled back to CA and they don't really have tick disease so I went almost 10 days without treatment. I had also been to Africa and some of the early symptoms reminded me of malaria. I tried to tell them it was tick disease or malaria but they won't listen. I went to ER twice and they discharged me. By the time they treated me, I had also gotten meningitis. All my joints were so stiff I could hardly move and was in excruciating pain. At least you are in a place where tick disease is taken seriously and treated quickly.
petite1: I like the unusual items as well. I'm not understanding how that opens to a square. Can you share a photo? I've already got my five sales for this weekend lined up. My mom is coming in a few weeks and she will have fun going with me to the sales.

Kamboka & Petite1 - I have crystal that is beautiful but didn't sell on FB Marketplace. I did sell a set of crystal salt & pepper shakers for $5.00. They were wedding presents that we only used once. It's such a shame.
Petite1 - I'm glad his headaches have improved.
I'm trying to increase my exercise and step count and that may be helping with my bone/joint pain. It wasn't quite as bed yesterday.

Good morning. Rain storms this morning. I will post a picture of the purse later on today. I haven't researched it, yet.
0 -
Kamboka, Here is the purse. Are you flooding up there? I saw some picture of Jax with water in the streets.
0 -
petite1: That is a cute purse. Looks like something from the 50s-60s. Is that snakeskin? It only stormed for about 20 minutes this afternoon. Lots of wind for that time. Jax is so large that many times, it rains on the westside and we get nothing near the beaches.
mocame: Such a shame that that crystal didn't sell well. I have some large bowls and vases that I got from estate sales so I hope they go at a good price. The first coin auction is scheduled for the 26th. He has lumped a lot of my coins together and I would have preferred many to go separately but it's too late for that now. If they don't sell well, I won't use him again.

I may try and sell the crystal bowl on ebay. I saw one that sold for more money. I have off on Friday and I think I will try and go to a couple yard sales and go thrifting that morning. Nothing I have on ebay has sold but it hasn't been a week yet.
I messaged my MO yesterday and told her about my situation and asked her advice. She said I should call my pharmacy and ask that they give me the Anastrozole made by Zodeco, not Accord. She also said I could take a 5 to 7 day vacation in between them. Also thought getting a Lyme disease test wouldn't be a bad idea. My husband got tested yesterday and we are awaiting the results. If he tests positive, I might get tested.
0 -
mocame, Hoping tests are negative. I have started back to the gym. It has been too hot for me to enjoy walking.
Kamboka, I think it is 50's to 60's. I think it is a reptile pattern, but doesn't feel like snake.
0 -
mocame: hope the lyme tests come back negative. Good luck with the bowl. Have you sold on Poshmark?
petite1: I have an exercise room in my house and am too lazy to even go into the room. I keep saying that I get all my exercise on the three days that I estate sale. You know how you have to park so far away and walk to some of the houses. I really do need to start weight training though. As of today, I've lost 50 lbs. I'm feeling some flapping skin.
