Yes, the Trump plague!! That's what it is!!
I want him to recover after suffering for a few weeks of struggling to breathe. I don't want the election process interfered with. If he dies, Pence would become President (not the best for us) but what will it do to the election? Trump is the name on the ballot, and I think his death would throw everything into chaos and make the Repugs claim "fake election" even more than they will when Trump loses. Ballots cannot be reprinted in time with Pence's name on it.
How would the election go on if he died before Election Day? This seriously worries me.
I want him to recover, lose to Biden legit, and then be charged with his crimes and go to prison.

It must be quite an unchartered territory for him. I don't think he's ever experienced a serious illness to know how humbling it can be and how powerless it makes you feel. The hospital gown, the IV pokes, taking orders from doctors, etc. must be too much for his fragile ego. He can't bully it away and best drugs can only do so much. He doesn't have the temperament to handle a serious disease and is naturally bound to react like a mad man.

Have you seen George Takei's campaign to take back the "Proud Boys" name? It involves gay couples tweeting a picture of themselves kissing or embracing under the ProudBoys hashtag. Boy are those Incels pissed!. You go, George!
For those not familiar with George, he is a very outspoken, proud gay man who played Mr. Sulu on the original Star Trek series. He's absolutely hilarious.

I, for one, am happy to have found this thread. Living in a red county in a red state I am often not comfortable sharing my thoughts very widely as I don't want to get into a shouting match ( and with Tamoxifen I can go there quickly). I don't post often because just reading and agreeing is a comforting outlet. I do feel a bit sorry for the military doctors who are caught between their training to tell it like it is and their commander in chief's orders to paint a rosy picture. I still harbor suspicions about what is real--are we getting accurate details about medications or are they being broadcast to continue a hoax? Doubt that we will know before Nov. 3. Wouldn't change my vote anyway.

Just was going to post about K McE having the virus. I had no idea she had a baby at home. That is awful that you suck up so much that you get to possibly have put your baby in danger. The whole WH seems to be in a jam with it being a matter of time and there is still time for others to come down with this. Makes you wonder if at some point we might hear at least a couple utter regrets for their blind allegiance to the o not so NOT great orange one who could not keep himself well even, let alone them. It must feel at least a little awful to feel as though you were sort of majorly played by this orange madman who wished covid away as hard as he could, and it still assaulted him and those around him. It is as uncaring as they and he have been.

I would like it to up-end the process of Barrett for now and to also SLAM home as much reality as possible for the idiocy of following someone who is only barely smart enough to realize day from night. Ya'll knew every bit, if mot more than we did about this man , yet you refused to do the intelligent as well as conscience driven acts that one should have, while preventing others because they were Democrats. While I may have some sympathy for those around you because they likely were helpless to influence you too, I haven't one iota for you. You put yourself out there and karma has come to join you.

I listened to the MD doing the briefing on Sat, and recognized my Mother's form of lying. She would never, ever tell an outright lie, but she could sure mislead you on purpose without it. Who knows what the real truth is.
This keeps reminding me of an old story where the King (possibly in India) did all these things to keep his castle safe, but the disease made it inside anyway.

pupmom - I wouldn't assume the WH staff was the source. The Trump admin refused to follow the recommended protocol. They could have picked it up while dining out, traveling, or socializing with other covidiots.

The read more was interesting. A whole timeline in there too. Well, it is said he can get some real work done at the WH. Really !!! That would be a first. Somehow I'm not feeling the bravado so much. Trump has plenty to go around but I can't helping feeling he and maybe a bunch of other people are going to need it. I also feel like he TRUSTS no one and certainly not Pence and Mark Meadows. Neither of those guys are much for prizes, but they are better ( if only slightly ) than Trump.
I also think Trump does not have much time, maybe none, to turn things around. There is going to have to be massive cheating, and re-arranging as it seems like people are just fed up with Trump right now. I don't doubt his need to portray himself as in charge of a disease that no one else has been able to work with at all. Too bad everyone doesn't have the same type of medical tx. at their disposal. Still don't think he is in that good a shape at all. I also note that it was going to be he and the Dr.'s that decided when he would leave WR. We all know how that works !!! When he says I'm leaving it up to the Dr.'s and will do what they say we can bet he is making THAT decision.
