Divine, isn't that the truth !! Really Biden did a landslide. I mean over 5 million more votes than Trump. It is sort of incredible that Trump got as many as he did, but he didn't do ALL that well comparatively speaking in 2016 -- so not surprising that he lost this time out. Always amazing that he got any, but I really do think some people almost never vote what is good for the country and vote party period with whatever justifications they need to use to convince themselves.
I, once again, was so demoralized by Trump and the Reps. that I voted straight down for ALL Democrats. I did this for Pres. Obama as well. I do wonder how the Reps. are really going to do with their inability to get on board about an election that is all over but handing out the Kleen-X on their side. Divine, so true. Biden got a landslide in votes. Over 5 million more and counting. And 306 in the electoral column. I'm really proud of all of this. Trump did not do that good in 2016 either, though Putin was able to help him squeak through. Trump won't be blaming him for this upset though. He may have to scurry over to Russia to avoid new paid for housing here. Sad that the Reps. are not as yet working to get behind Biden. Were I them I'd be worried about how that will play out later for them It is sure to be noted that they continued long after the writing was on the wall to hold up for Trump. It's been all over for some time but the handing out of Kleen-X for the Reps.
The paltry showing in Washington should be telling those same Reps. as well -- time to face up to things. They couldn't wait to tell us to get over the 2016 election and mainly, if reluctantly, most of us did. Never truly accepted -- you can't when you know -- but had to calm down and hope to keep our heads above water. True to our belief -- Trump never transformed because he was who he was, and he was ALWAYS the last person who ever should have been installed as a president.

I am just hanging out in the bedroom, taking Tylenol, drinking water, eating chicken noodle soup and sleeping......which would be very boring if I felt better! A good friend is making some homemade macaroni and cheese and will drop it off at the front door in a few minutes, so that will definitely be the highlight of my day!

Have you taken a test yet? My youngest daughter took one Wednesday night, a couple of days after attending an outdoor celebration for Biden/Harris. She had her results (negative) the next morning. Really helped put our minds at ease.

I took the test Friday. The brochure said it could take 5 business days to get the results. Our poor medical personell are overwhelmed.

((((( RUTH )))))) Here's hoping. I wasn't thinking of how much North and South Dakota are going through right now with an overwhelmed medical system. As I mentioned elsewhere, I am so glad ( but we need GSA to step up and do what's right ) that Pres.-elect Biden will dig into getting us where we should have been all along with the virus pandemic. Proper supplies, testing, mitigations, and hopefully, though slow, starting to pull over the hump. Beyond my imagination that someone doesn't take chg. and demand that GSA get out of the way -- in all areas. It is so PLAIN that there is no road for Trump and he should not be allowed to stop the progress that can and should be made from the new administration. Just ridiculous. It all else fails then I hope the certification puts and end to this orange-man baby major pout. It is really not affordable to the public who want to move forward.

I look back on a few things I was overly involved with in my life and think, “why did I waste so much energy on that?” I wonder if Trumpers will feel the same at some point. Will some come to see the light? From the beginning of Trump being the 2016 Rep candidate, I likened the campaign as a football game, where for some reason, Trumpers thought if they displayed the most team colors and enthusiasm, their team would win. It didn’t matter that their team leader got worse and worse as the season went on, they remained loyal, just as a Steelers or Patriots fan might. Overlooking bad behavior. Making excuses. It was bizarre to me then, that politics had become like a sporting event and all these seemingly sane people who thought they were the hip, cool ones were cheering on an orange spray-tanned, obese, loudmouthed bully who wore lifts in his shoes and strange hairdo.
Then I feel like the pandemic gave way to the even more bizarre Trump trains. Since people could not longer fill football stadiums to capacity, drench themselves in their favorite NFL gear, tailgate and cheer on their team, they found a similar outlet by banning together to create the trains. They had nothing better to do because the pandemic put the kibosh on all forms of normal social gathering. Instead of buying NFL stuff, they bought all the Trump paraphernalia and Trump trains ramped up.
All the pent up anger they felt about being quarantined and having to wear masks and living in a pandemic world, all that anger that should have been geared towards the president for his colossal failure in handling the pandemic, instead was spewed towards those who did not drink the Trump’s brand koolaid. They unleashed their anger on the wrong targets, allowing a con-man cult leader to alter their way of thinking so much, they turned on people who would not worship at the feet of Trump like they were doing.

There are now two pretty good vaccines out there they're working on---the one from Pfizer and now one from Moderna....
According to what I've read Moderna's is 95% effective..that's HUGE!! And it protects against SERIOUS cases of Covid....plus it doesn't need the 70-degree below temp. requirement of Pfizer's ..... it was developed using federal funds, unlike Pfizer's.
I bet Trump is streaming that it's come too late to help him out, election-wise....am sure he would have crowed to the heavens about it had it come three weeks or so ago---I can hear him at his rallies now-- "WE ARE DOING IT! WE HAVE A VACCINE COMING THAT'S THE MOST FANTASTIC VACCINE IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY! IT WILL PROTECT YOU AGAINST COVID-19, SHINGLES, ZITS, HANGNAILS, POOR VISION, HEMORRHOIDS---YOU NAME IT! AND SPEAKING OF NAMING IT---THEY 'RE GONNA CALL IT THE TRUMP VACCINE!!"
