Love The Dream and the 50 Ways!

Thanks so much for all the Covid tips! I am feeling a little better today. I went up and down the stairs a couple times doing laundry, and dare I say that I'm actually hungry! So, unless things take a downturn, I will keep doing what I have been doing with all the water, Tylenol, rest etc. Along with a multivitamin, I'm taking extra vitamin C, D, and Zinc, and Airborne, so have a little support cocktail going on.

Ruthbru, keep moving in the right direction. Good to hear you are feeling a bit better but laundry?? Take care, eat well, keep going with your "cocktail" since it seems to be helping. (((virtual hugs)))

Can we add Lindsey Graham and Rudy to the Trump Tower? Trump looks like a Thanksgiving turkey on that top row. LOL.

Loved the 50 ways to leave the WH and will share it with others. Clever.

I would like to see Stephen Miller, Louis De Joy and Betsy DeVos included in the Trump Tower as well. Those three have done so much damage to our country.

It would be pure heaven if both Trump and the Kardashians were not headliners. Seemes like Covid has had an adverse effect on the amount of press the Kardashians are getting as well so let's hope it continues. It would definitely make my day.

Ruth--So happy you are feeling better, girl! Keep doing what you're doing!

    --------------------------------------------------

When I read that Rudy is asking for $20,000 per day for his "services" I thought, yeah, wonder if he's anticipating this will end not in months but in days--so he'd better make those days pay big!

    --------------------------------------------------

Can't Donald Trump ONCE speak with compassion and sympathy about those thousands who are ill with Covid and those who've lost a loved one? His tweets are all about how badly he's been treated...

But the more he whines and complains and accuses, the better I feel....it just shows how shaken he is by what has happened: he's now not just a loser to all of us, he's a loser in the eyes of the entire country..... I'm having a schadenfreude overload moment!

He made such a big big deal about Michigan ......

And voila! They saw the light! Hooray!

Ruth, so sorry for coming so awfully late to the Get Well Wishes Party--haven't checked in on this thread in days. Hope you continue to feel better, and that your re-test will soon come back negative. It's frightening when someone who'd been doing everything correctly still gets sick due to the delusions of selfish people who claim "rights" that are nowhere in the Constitution, much less "rights" that are not absolute. Wishing & praying you continue to improve every day.

The Pfizer vaccine will be rolled out w/in hours of receiving the FDA's EUA. As it needs to be frozen at -94F, it'll go to facilities capable of storing it--which means major medical centers in large cities. Bob is hoping that the health care workers who get it first won't be limited to those employed by those hospitals.

It feels like we're being stalked, and have no idea on which roofs the snipers are stationed...nor how many.

5 years ago, the terrorists attacked Paris. The talk of accepting refugees to this country tried to only allow "Christian" refugees, not Muslim. So this meme popped up in my FB memories today. Remember when we had a good decent man as a President? SIGH. 63 more days.

Serenity, I love the take down video you posted. I don’t know who the man is who is speaking, but I love his confidence and the forcefulness of his convictions. So much of my life, I’ve been surrounded by dominant white male Republicans and when I see and hear outspoken white male liberals, I marvel a bit, wondering how perhaps my life would have been different if I’d known more of them.

    Michelle Obama

    Instagram

This week, I've been reflecting a lot on where I was four years ago. Hillary Clinton had just been dealt a tough loss by a far closer margin than the one we've seen this year. I was hurt and disappointed—but the votes had been counted and Donald Trump had won. The American people had spoken. And one of the great responsibilities of the presidency is to listen when they do. So my husband and I instructed our staffs to do what George and Laura Bush had done for us: run a respectful, seamless transition of power—one of the hallmarks of American democracy. We invited the folks from the president-elect's team into our offices and prepared detailed memos for them, offering what we'd learned over the past eight years.

I have to be honest and say that none of this was easy for me. Donald Trump had spread racist lies about my husband that had put my family in danger. That wasn't something I was ready to forgive. But I knew that, for the sake of our country, I had to find the strength and maturity to put my anger aside. So I welcomed Melania Trump into the White House and talked with her about my experience, answering every question she had—from the heightened scrutiny that comes with being First Lady to what it's like to raise kids in the White House.

I knew in my heart it was the right thing to do—because our democracy is so much bigger than anybody's ego. Our love of country requires us to respect the results of an election even when we don't like them or wish it had gone differently—the presidency doesn't belong to any one individual or any one party. To pretend that it does, to play along with these groundless conspiracy theories—whether for personal or political gain—is to put our country's health and security in danger. This isn't a game. So I want to urge all Americans, especially our nation's leaders, regardless of party, to honor the electoral process and do your part to encourage a smooth transition of power, just as sitting presidents have done throughout our history.

OK, this year of 2020 has GOT to go down in history as THE. MOST. WEIRD. YEAR. IN. U.S. HISTORY. EVER.

After, that is, 2016, when Donald won the White House...

Below is the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

It looks like a larger version of the tree I found in the woods when I was about ten that I wanted to have as my own personal Christmas tree in my bedroom. So grown-up and so AWFUL!!!

Sometimes things which at the moment may be perceived as obstacles--and actually be obstacles, difficulties, or drawbacks--can in the long run result in some good end which would not have occurred if it had not been for the obstacle.

That tree is just sad. It looks like 2020 beat it down as badly as it did the rest of us.
