Even after three yrs. these lawbreakers/insurrectionists are still getting nabbed and that is a good thing.

Catching up after not being online for a few days. Great memes and had some chuckles. DS is a MAGA and that breaks my heart. Today he was complaining about how entitled people were and when I slipped and reminded him this is a byproduct of trump's unholy reign, he went off that Obama was responsible, etc. Well, I wasn't having that since they were a very civil reign. Cut him off mid rant when he asked what else I wanted to blame on trump, so I told him I did not want to continue conversation, loved him and was hanging up. Don't need this right now or really ever. Upsetting because he was not raised this way.

That's a baby garter snake. They eat slugs and garden pests, so they're much more useful than Republicans.

    (And yes, they are adorable!)

miriandra — thanks. I didn't really know what kind of snake that was but I agree. Most of any of our outisde/garden/woods babies are quite cute. Dh and I do not bother our snakes. While we have seen a couple other kinds (one may even have been an adult garter) we only remove them from the yard, so they don't run into any issues, for us or them.

Dh gets a long sturdy stick, lets the snake wrap around the stick and then he takes it back out in the woods and leaves it. We use to do this when the snakes seemed close to ready to go into our big dog pen. We don't have a pen anymore — but then we usually don't see the snakes often unless it gets truly hot and dry around here.

This past summer we had a baby owl on our deck. His parents were teaching him to fly (something that seems to take about a day or so) and somehow, he ended up on our wooden sidewalk going up to the deck. I came around the corner and saw him going up the stairs and I ran back to our front door, grabbed my cell phone and took pics of him/her out the window. The babies are bigger than you would think. He looked to be from 8 to 10 inches tall. When the flying lessons take place the parents are out of sight, but they talk to the baby. We watched this baby (after he spent a few minutes on our deck) and he finally walked down the back deck stairs over to the nearest tree. He climbed the tree to a nice branch and would take off. He ended up pretty much just gliding to the ground. He would go back over to the tree and try again. Seems to take some time and doing before they learn tow to let the air current get under them well enough so that the 'thrust' will lift them.

Some time that next day he/she was flying. Came back to see us for the next three weeks. This was unusual since the parents teach the baby to "avoid" humans.

They are beautiful birds, but I admit a bit spooky since they can turn their head so far around and look so directly and intently at you. A great experience though that I so enjoyed. I do feel it is a gift and one of the biggest reasons I love living in the woods — even though I'm just barely in.

When you commit yourself to living love, you feel at peace
with yourself because you are at harmony with the flow of life.
Viewing life from the highest perspective, you feel confident
and secure.  You realize that no matter how things may
appear, you are loved and protected.  You know you are one
with God, and you bring your peace with you wherever you go.
You’re not looking for love, but for opportunities to love.

Sure seems to be the case as he feels the need to sit next to his dime-store lawyer.

Giving me a major case of the giggles — this is so right on. There was a time when a couple of his marbles could cause him to sound like he just might have 'some' sense. All gone now.

I don't think that is hard to do nowadays, for Reps. anyway.

Heroes of your ilk are not needed, wanted or appreciated unless it is by a group of really ignorant, senile, or mentally disturbed people. You have a very damaged reality.

Judge during Trump’s federal immunity case: "I think it's paradoxical to say that his constitutional duty to 'take care that the laws be faithfully executed' allows him to violate criminal law. "Like every American, Donald Trump is not above the law.

She's obsessed it seems with someone's private parts. What a way to earn followers and respect. She ought to be severely admonished for her very highly disgraceful behavior.

Good for her and the Grand Jury but naturally this should have even seen the light of the Grand Jury's day.

BREAKING NEWS: Judge Engoron CUT OFF Donald Trump in mid sentence as he spoke during closing arguments.

This will not end well for Donald. Here are the details:

When Donald's team asked if he could speak, Engoron asked Donald if he would stick to the facts of the case. Donald started speaking without the judge's question.

He proceeded to attack the case, and accuse AG Letitia James of election interference, before Engoron pleaded with Donald's lawyer to "control" his client, and left the courtroom claiming that James owed him damages.

Once again, Donald was given more leeway that no other defendant would ever be given but, in the end, this absurd rant won't help him.

It is still (even though he does himself no good and maybe makes things worse) maddening that the Loon gets away with all the antics he does. He still gets huge opportunity to mis-inform people and cause many to feel they have to go on the offense for him. Only a madman could wield such influences and destroy so much of the reason people might have had.

All anyone had to do was tell him an extremely firm no and stick with it totally.
