Enjoyed the memes especially the one about Rand Paul. He is such a poor excuse for a human being. I think he left ophthalmology because he could not get the real board certification and the one he created was a sham.
Glad trial is over and now he awaits the judgment. Hope they strip him of all business in NY. I do feel sorry for his employees but he was most likely underpaying them anyhow.

I love the owl story, IllinoisLady! We get red tail hawks out here fairly regularly. One late-summer afternoon, I heard a thump on the 1st floor roof outside my bedroom window. I looked out and saw a juvenile hawk waiting for Mom or Dad to bring it some food. It was big enough to fly, but not quite up on hunting yet. It was such a derpy looking teenager!

Wow !! Being something of a nature lover I enjoy your picture miriandra. We have a number of hawks around here but generally they have plenty of areas to hunt through the woods, so we rarely get such a "close-up" as you.
Our owl looked about the same size as your bird only with a more cylindric appearance. Wish I could post my pics, but its beyond me.

Smart too late if indeed she is. As was mentioned elsewhere, she may have had good friends or family members who tried to warn her away from the Loon and his dirty business but obviously for naught. Too bad you have to KNOW what nothing feels like. Painful, huh ??
