I’m wondering if (and hoping that) those who’ve turned a deaf ear to the truth will hear and understand when Tim Walz says Republican policies are what destroyed rural America. Maybe these people with their twisted thinking will listen because of who Walz is and where he came from: straight white man married 30 years, veteran, former teacher and football coach who grew up in a town of 400 (take that, JD Vance!), pro union who’s passed so much great legislation to help his state of Minnesota. Maybe Walz is the right messenger to deliver what we want stubborn Magas to comprehend. Not all will be open minded enough, but I hope he can reach some who have been unreachable or are on the fence.
