Howdy! So I was just diagnosed with systolic heart failure last week, due to the red devil chemo (Adriamycin) I had during treatment. I've suddenly gone from taking no meds to a cardiac patient with 3 of them. I wonder how many of us will end up with heart issues since it is so toxic to the heart? Not happy, but at least I am still around to gripe about it, lol. Otherwise, all is good!

I hope you all are well - wishing you a wonderful (and warmer) 2026!

    Hello GAWarrior!

Well that is not good news! I love your attitude though for sure. I am indeed surprised though, because your are so active. Are you ok? if anyone can rock through that it is you!! :)

I am currently helping take care of my 87 year mom who was diagnosed with Pancreas Cancer and has decided to take on this treatment. I am very worried about her ability to make it through the surgery (Whipple) it is very extensive. I will say she is rocking that chemo better then I did. Just saying. :)

I have one more year to go on the anastrozole. I also developed Small Fiber Neuropathy. They wanted me to take gabapentin but I have chose to go with acupuncture. Seems to be working.

I recommended to my mom to get on a chat board. She is not interested. I just remember how much peace your beautiful ladies gave me during that very hard time. So much encouragement and laughter for sure!

I know that we all have our lives to live but I will always come back and check on how everyone is doing.

    Take care of yourself!
