Greetings all! Visiting today because I just completed 2 years of Verzenio for early stage BC.
Im so happy to see so many garden appreciators! I also just completed a course in Horticultural Therapy and welcomed my first grandchild!
I hope to check in more frequently.

Petite, it’s happened to me, post disappeared, and it’s exhausting trying to redo it.
We’re in Texas trying to stay cool. It’s very hot and super dry. Tomorrow night we will be attending a Texas Rangers baseball game and we’re thankful it’s indoors.
Thankful for a pool too!
Talking about gardens, here they’ve had to buy water bags for new trees. Things are so dry, I don’t think they’ve had rain in over 60 days - or so little rain it’s nearly unmeasurable.

It's Saturday and we didn't get up early to hurry off to set up for the farmers market! I have a grocery list and plan to go into town and visit our friends Ron and Judy at the market. I hope they do well as vendors in the final Saturday. I was ready for our participation in the market to end.
It's not cold this morning, in the 50's, but is cloudy.

I've had a busy week and decided to forgo golf for a sleep-in. Seems we can only get a very early or mid-day tee time on weekends right now. I'm not a morning person and it's still too hot to play at noon. My political group had 2 weeks to do 5000 write "get out the vote" postcards. I took 540 and farmed them out to friends but of course then had to go pick them up. Dentist appointment, Bella's grooming, 3 days of bridge, etc. Thursday a dear friend who is visiting from London and I went to see "Les Miserables". Great production and really fun catching up. We'll see if I am successful at posting a pic. I'm starting to feel like the oldest one on this thread and I am technologically challenged.

shrinkrap59, welcome to this forum. I am one of the gardeners and consider weeding and mulching to be my therapy. There are others that share my passion, too. Hopefully you will continue to chime in and ask for any assistance as needed. We've all had different treatments, so there is a wealth of knowledge here.
carole, is this the last market weekend for your DH? When do you leave for home>
taco1946, Les Miz is one of my favorite musicals and I most enjoyed seeing it several times in London because the stage is lower than the audience so you can see more of what is occurring and not just a bunch of legs and feet. I also watch some of the taped shows from Royal Albert Hall on Youtube with the original casts. Hope you enjoyed it.
The weather has been cooler with varying humidity levels and today was probably the highest this week. My neck has been bothering me so I have been babying it and my back is quiet for the moment. I am avoiding any repetitive motion chores so ironing and vacuuming are long overdue. I wish I could convince the critters to not moult or shed, but no such luck. I still brush Misty because she is such a shed machine and getting hairball patrol is not fun.
I am plugging away on the counted cross-stitch after a few days off due to neck. I am currently trying to decide what section to try to complete next. With all the various pale pinks and blues with some so close to white it makes doing this at night a real challenge for these old eyes. It is slow going because I am trying not to have to rip out stitches. I worked for a few hours this afternoon and in terms of looking like I made a dent, I'd have to say decidedly "no".
Think I'll dust tonight and then take the evening off. DH has been enclosing the last flower bed fence and just needs to complete adding the last sections of fencing. We discussed where I need access to be able to tend this bed and decided on 2 points of entry. He may be able to finish tomorrow if the rain holds off until later in the day.

Taco, your picture came thru. Glad you were able to attend Les Miz with a friend.
We went to the baseball game last night. It’s in the new stadium with AC. The AC part is a blessing but I think the old stadium holds more personality.
Some new fan escapades is for the group to take their shirt off and spin it around over their head. This started out with one guy and 4 kids. And more & more joined the group. Our grandsons were giggling away watching this take place. When my SO & FIL got up to use the restroom, the row behind us all thought they were going to take off their shirt. Nope.
It was a great time. But it’s a good hour away, so a long drive to & from.
It’s been “cooler” 90 tonight around 7 pm as we went in the pool again. We’re thinking we’ll be extra cold when we get home, as it was 59 there at the same time.
I’m hoping to buy a sweatshirt at the airport on the way home. Fingers crossed.Tomorrow is a rest day, I think; Monday we pack for the hotel, drop off luggage and head to hockey. Flight home is Tuesday.

Betrayal, last Saturday was our last farmers market in 2026. I dropped by yesterday to visit our friends Judy and Ron. They had had only one small sale. It was a cool, gray day and the crowd of shoppers was small. I was glad we skipped the final Saturday.

Overcast and rainy today. Whoke week is to be rain in forecast which we need.
Was able to vacuum today. Did family room rug and swiffered wood floor. Ran vacuum in foyer, kitchen areas, laundry and powder room. Doing some dusting, just need to finish family room. Back okay today after about 10 days of bothering me. Neck still an issue.
Had pulmonary appointment on Thursday. Pulmonologist changed inhaler due to intolerable side effects of first one. He gave me a 2 week sample of new one and if course, CVS can't fill prescription because they don't have it in stock. They are ordering it.
No working on counted cross-stitch today. House came first.
Tomorrow I have pain management in am and lymphedema PT in pm. Time spacing worked out.

Betrayal - I found a neck light on Amazon that I wear when reading a book at night. Recharable and 3 strengths. If you can't find it, I'll try to find it in my back orders. I've had it for a couple years. I also had an Ott light when I was needlepointing. Hope you can find one or the other to help with your evening stitching.
This has been a lazy weekend - badly needed.
