So...whats for dinner?
I thought it might be fun to start a thread on what we are having, making or had for dinner. Sometimes it is the best tuna steak you ever had, sometimes it's a can of soup. But we all do it every night in some form or another. Maybe we can give each other ideas on what to make, or bitch about what we had, or the fact that…

What do you use for dryness when on hormone blockers?
I am a month or so in on hormone blockers (Letrozole) and already went through menopause. Before cancer, I had been using Meno vaginal moisture pills and they were working just fine to keep up the moisture, but now that I'm on the blockers, I'm like the Sahara down there. What have you used that works because the usual oil…

Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
I am an "older" woman with breast cancer (I was diagnosed at 65 and am now 66). I notice that most of the posts seem to be from people younger than I am (often by quite a bit...). I'd love to "talk" with others my age, exchange info about their diagnoses, effects on their lives, etc. I see that there is a forum for young…

Just Diagnosed- Get Prepared
My breast cancer was diagnosed in Jan 09. My husband was dx'd with lymphoma in April. The following are some things we learned on our journey. I hope they help. Rather than rewrite everything in sequence, because I missed putting the fax in the rewrite of the outline, I'll put it here. I strongly recommend you get a fax…

What do you wish people better understood about living with breast cancer?
Having to explain your breast cancer experience can be daunting, taxing, frustrating and feel just downright impossible. No one really "gets it" than those who've walked this path. If you could share just one thing with those around you about what it's like to live with breast cancer, what would you say? Share with us…

Poll: What has made you feel most supported during your breast cancer experience?
Support comes in many forms, and not all of it lands the way we need it to. This month, we're exploring what meaningful support can look like, how good intentions can sometimes fall flat, and the many ways our community helps fill the spaces where words and understanding sometimes fall short. So, tell us: What has made you…

Bariactric surgery - post bilateral mastectomy
Im looking for opinions. Recently I have been reading studies about hormone production in women who have/had hormone receptive cancers. In my case I was Er/pr+ her2-. My BMI is 38. My insurance considers the reoccorance of cancer as a comorbidity and will likely cover the bariactric surgery. I would LOVE to connect with…
