TAXOL- Ive been on for 10 months, has anyone been on longer?
Hi, My doc thinks since I am stable, and I should leave Taxol (2 weeks on one week off) and go on something else when I stop being stable (probably Enhertu) since Neuropathy will only get worse on Taxol. I'm afraid to go off of Taxol since it has put me into "stable". Markers are going up slightly, every 3 weeks. How long…

De novo questions
De novo Her2 + ladies, 1. How long were you on Herceptin and perjeta before ( if) you had progression? 2. If no progression, how long have you been Ned or stable? 3. Who all has gone off treatment? I know there’s a HUGE Denovo thread, but I get lost in there. Thank you sisters. I am grateful for the support.

New liver progression - looking for advice/suggestions
Hi all -- I am looking for some current advice / suggestions regarding options because I have some new progression. (Note: tried searching the different threads but new format continues to make that difficult, and lots of posts are pretty old.) I'm HR+ / HER2- (+1) based on initial MBC liver biopsy 3 years ago. I've been…

Zoladex injection- increased bruising anyone?
I’ve been on zoladex shots for a number of years. Last month, I had a rather large and painful bruise afterwards. I chalked it up to the new MA but still reported it to my MO. Today when I went back, he tried twice to get me to come back with him and I wouldn’t. I held out for the other MA who has given me countless…

Mets to bone only
Hi, I am stage 4 and have mets to bone only. I aspirated on an almond and was hospitalized for 5 days. I went in to have my regular labs and to have my med list reconciled since the hospital had made some changes. I asked for a raised toilet seat and a walker. The palliative care nurse then says "are you thinking about…

Questions regarding status change and mutations
I’m so new to this and my mind is still in overdrive. Everyday I come up with a new concern and worry. Recently, it is how common is it for Her2 positive to switch to her2 negative? Also, how do we know when we should get tested for things like oik3 mutations? I don’t even know what these things mean 🤦♀️ Did I mention I’m…

Xeloda and drinking some cocktails during a vacation
My MBC friends on Zoom have convinced me to travel while I am feeling great! We will be enjoying a cruise during which I will be on my second week of Xeloda. I want to have a few cocktails during the vacation the week I am on Xeloda and the following week I am off Xeloda. I don't usually have side effects from Xeloda…

Pregnant while metastatic?
Hello. This is probably not a common topic but I wasn't sure where else to vent/ask. Has anyone gotten pregnant while on MBC treatment? I recently took a home preg test not expecting anything, but it's showing an extremely faint positive so I'm panicking & going to see my ob-gyn to check it out. I've only met one lady with…

Do metastatic patients never fully get rid of the cancer?
Hi all, I am a metastatic breast cancer patient, after 12 years remission from ER+, PR+, HER2+ my cancer came back as ER-, PR-, HER2+. It is a mass in my chest, in the lymph nodes of my right armpit and a tumour on my pancreas. However both my breasts are clear. I've been receiving Paclitaxel, Pertuzumab and Trastuzumab on…

Mets to lymph node in portahepatic area
Hello…In 2013 I was diagnosed with breast cancer ILC stage 2B with 3 lymph nodes involved. I did ATC 8 rounds and 5 years of AI. DVT’s
I wasn’t sure which thread to post this on, and I didn’t see one specific to the topic. Have any of you had DVT’s? I’m freaking out somewhat. On Wednesday morning, I noticed my left leg was swollen when I put pants on and they were tight on my left calf. It was swollen and felt tight, but no pain, discoloration, etc. I did…

Mentally tired
I totally get this f’ing diagnosis comes with all sorts of side effects. I can deal with the physical ones (what’s another pill or two? 🙄), but how do you deal with the mental aspect of it? The stress of stage iv is no joke. Looking to see if anyone finds relief from something I haven’t tried yet. The last couple of weeks…

FML - ready to throw in the towel
I feel burned out by the bi-weekly infusions, fatigue and stress from this fucking disease. I get anxiety and cry at every needle prod. Being on medically induced menopause changed my personality. I am so depressed that I can no longer be reliable to go to my appointments on time. I am losing the desire to work out. Last…
