That IS a cute car.....those small cars were prolly harder to make out in....maybe had less pregnancies??? LOL. I think its funny too to see the cars that have the same name, but like you said 30+ yrs ago they were HUGE....like when we had the Chevy Impala that was a '64 and soooo big and wide. Then the chevy impalas got teeny tiny. It just surprises me when they keep the same name but shrink the car!

Kathy, yikes, you were one of those? I was not that bad with cutting that people were shocked when I showed up, you are de baddest goil here so far. Who can top that? My daughter has the Impala, I think it is about a 2006? I remember the 55 Chevy's being very popular. For a time I thought my "bomb" looked a little like the Chevy but only because a few years apart. I then found out that the car was not considered cool except that I was a young driver, turned 17 early in my Jr (3rd) year of high school. I was one of the first of my friends to have a car so of course I was cool for having a car despite how ugly it was. On time I did a little hit and run. We were parked on a side street, drinking beer and such. And likely talking so much that the rear window fogged up. Well I backed up to "sneak" out of the street parking spot and boom, ooops. Did not do any hard to the bomb but chit, the other car, not looking so good. I know I bashed in a tail light and put a dent. I had to split cuz my friends told me too, oops. I think Karma did catch up to me on that one.

Aly, I had no idea that ford escorts were made, I thought they came out in the 90's. Your cars are cool too, so neat seeing the cars that are not usually seen in the US. Glad you found the chocolate, can you save me a teeny piece? I like to store it in the hole that was once tooth #3, then I can enjoy it a little later. And I am not kidding. For those missing teeth, try it. I learned it by accident, this toothless ting is all new to me.

Cammie, funny that you married for a car. you are a smart one indeed, I don't blame ya. Marrying for love did not work for me. I am sorry you were sad but glad Kitty Kat helped you through it. I know what you mean, I used to feel so lost when I had internet problems for days at a time. Speaking of, I better pay my cable bill. I will brb.

HI BECKERS!!!! Hope you are having a GREAT time in PSP.....I saw that hot tub pic...I was looking for you ...you musta been taking the pic???? Looks like a good time was had! Do you go home tomorrow?

Im up for a Cami beddy bye story....I am very impressed with how you fixed your puter Cami....wow...Im glad you are up and running and at the least able to come here.

Dorothy,,,Lord lady you make me laugh out loud..Im surprised I havent had a knock on the door from the white coats handing me a "hug myself" jacket....you are funneeeeee!! You are beautiful yourself and Im so glad I gots to meetcha and hug ya . Hows about you come with me to bisit BBBernie......I have been looking at Aer Lingus from JFK sometime in the fall next year...I'll keep my eye out for dealios.. ...HeY..did you hear the story about that guy who changed his face to look like Beiber?? 100,000.00 for plastic soigery...aktually I think you posted dat link did you not? on FB? idk...the guy is crazy and fuglie....did I ever tell you I have a friend who is a drag queen and his name is Helga Fugly??? LMAO....and he really is.

KayKay......I like it....Karen, what a sad sad thing when someone that young with a young family is stricken by the FRB. That just really pisses me off. I was wondering what you did with the kids in schools because my g/f is an OT in a school environment and you have used some of the same lingo I have heard her use. Very challenging working with children...kudo's to you for your dedication and your patience and energy to work with them..I know its not easy, even more so working with the parents..I know they can be difficult.

Wahine...you bad girl you, I cant see you being bad......so maybe that is a quality in you that the principal also over looked...a devil in disguise. I also skipped classes in high school...its a wonder I graduated ..I was one that the teacher would say .."who are you" when I showed up. I spent the majority of my highschool career in the ladies room with Willie being a bad ass . I sure wish there was a beach to skip to...but all we had was a mall..which I was really surprised to find out that Kat actually has been to...small world.

Alyson...Im so sorry (i said it ..dont judge)....that your procedure was so unpleasant...Like Cami said ...its over..have a drink and next time let us know you are having something done and we will be there for support....we will get tiny tiny and stock up the UFO to the land next to OZ and pinch the asses of all the techs, drs and nurses and make it not so horrible for you...I hope and pray your results are good.

    Chrissy..how are you feeling hun?

    Lorilou...(( hugz))....you hot mama.

Lara , I hate you are in so much pain..and I hate how you havent had luck in the job area...its because the perfect job fit is coming and it needs you to be available to accept it when it gets to you. There is a reason for everything and I believe you will get the job of your dreams. Thanks for the movie name...I will look it up.

I know there are things Im missing and wanted to comment on but I foiget now.

NM....I would love to see a vid of silly Sadie.

Julie...havent heared too much from you since your return...thanks for the translation .

So glad my work week is just about over...have a DR appt on Wed and dentist on Thurs...I wish these boys would move out..Reese is an ass hole but sweet at the same time..how the hell is that possible? He pisses me off....but I love him anyway...I would love to see Dortys vid of her furbaby on the pool cover...hint hint....My landlord has not done a thing about the ceiling in the kitchen and I doubt he will. He just said he would because thats what I wanted to hear...he is a slacker and couldnt give a chit about this place now....Im making a list of things that need to be fixed ..so whoever has to to deal with it be it him or the new owners..so be it...I just know its not my responsibility to get this stuff taken care of. ENEWay

I better send this post before a gremlin eats it ...that would piss me off.

Lol BBBernie........Love your funnies! They always give me a giggle and DH always asks what I'm giggling about.........I read to him and he also giggles so you do good!!!

Mmmm, let me see, my very first car I got when my second DD was about eight months old and I thought it was Christmas to have my very own car! It was a Ford Cortina, not a new one by a long shot, probably about eight years old if my memory serves me well but I thought it was the ants pants! I traded that one after about eight months and got myself a newer car and that was a Renault.......loved that car but it didn't last long as I rolled it nose to tail and wrote it off........mmmm......what a pain....literally. Next car didn't come for a while but I found a Morris , same one that Aly showed the pic of and I had that car for years. Next car was a GM Holden V8........hell on wheels I was in that.......speed limit?......what speed limit?........gave a few people what we call white knuckle rides in that as it darn near flew! Next? Oh yeah, Mitsubishi People Mover......hated that but it was DH's choice........as soon as possible I got another one and opted for a Mercedes 280SLE.......now that was like driving a lounge chair on wheels.......lol. I had that one for many years until my 19 yr old son wrote that one off and I was left with an el cheepo so I had some wheels.......a GM Holden Camira and then a Citroen Xantia......nice car but as I aged it was just a tad too low for me to get in and out of so I bought my brothers Subaru Forrester from my SIL after he passed (SIL didn't drive) and gave the Citroen to my eldest DD as her car was falling apart. Still driving my Subaru and I love it! Comfy, easy to drive, plenty of room to carry chit (and I do) and the perfect height for me to get in and out of......yay!! It's about eight years old and done over 150,000 km but doesn't miss a beat and starts first turn of the key.

I'm feeling a whole lot better which is a good thing but I'm still deaf and a little light headed. The nausea is gone so I think the vertigo has gone also but what is left is caused by the deafness and Tinnitus as it's only one side.......just a little disorienting. I am going to drive to the city tomorrow as DD2 has bought tickets to the ballet for both of us and I'm really looking forward to it! I will be very careful and take it easy as it will be the first time I will have driven since all this started three weeks ago......I am feeling confident that all shall be well.

Hi to all! Love n hugs n TITTIES UP!!! Chrissy

Good TwoferTuesday, Loungettes! What's everyone up to this ayem?

DorKable--my first car was a Pacer.A goldfish bowl on wheels, but it went through EVERYTHING!Wow, you've been busy in the Lounge, good to see you but DO NOT OVERDO!

Karen--check out Book Bub--you get a daily e-mail with links to e-books that cost from nothing to a couple of dollars. You can even check off what kinds of books you like.'m getting quite a collection of free books on my kindle!

Wahine--convertables are soooo coooool, but not very practical here in Maine!

    BBBBBernie--LOL, very unnatural acts!

Chrissy---glad to hear the vertigo is lifting, now for the deafness to start fading out. . . .

Goldie--Sadie will love going for a ride with you!She rides really well, stays in the back seat, isn't whiny, but so loves to go for a ride!Wow, fun drink!I think I'd be scared to drink it while it was burning, though?

    Nice pics, Goldie!

    BBBBBernie--LOL, LOL!!!!

Mema--you have a great friend to come over and do all your windows like that! Can I rent him for a couple days?HBOT is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. You lie in a clear tube and they pump in 100% oxygen and increase the pressure as if you were diving.Stay there for a set period of time, then gradually the pressure is reduced and the air goes back to regular. It sends extra oxygen into the blood stream, not just in the red blood cells but the plasma as well, so extra oxygen gets to places with infections and maybe not so good circulation to help with healing.I had it done 'cause the rads killed off the blood vessel in my breast so it was rotting out from the inside, had to have it to minimize the infection so I could have a mastectomy to fix the problem.Very technical but can be boring. At least it's a treatment that doesn't hurt.

Wahine--sounds like you had quite a day, hope today is better!A prune juice bottle full of vodka?Wow, your mom knows how to travel!

Goldie--yup, that looks like the time capsule I spent time in all one summer!

ORLA-glow in the dark jammies??????How do you sleep at night???????? ;)

Wahine--HBOT is mostly used for treating the Bends, but also for carbon monoxide poisoning, and problematic wound care.

CynCyn--have a good weekend in the middle of the week!

Cammy--Good for you for fixing the 'puter yourself!!!!!!!!!!Good job!!!!!

Wahine--I love magic act, I like trying to figure them out.Sometimes I do, mostly I don't but always I have fun!

Alyson---the percotini fountain is right next to the mimosa fountain, my prescription is to go back and forth between the two until you feel relaxed!!!!

Karen--such sorry news, I will pray for that family.

DorKable--I don't usually video Sadie playing, I have to look into doing that! And I swear cat owners have higher blood pressure from the stress of trying to keep kitty happy! But then, I am a dog person through and through.

Becs--hooray for a good weekend with the fam!!!!!

Of course wine counts as a serving of fruit.Coffee comes from a bean and beans are veggies so coffee is a veggie, too!

Lara, Praying you DO get that position if it is exactly the right job for you! Let us know. Yeah, I can believe 3k of damage to your mom's car...so expensive to fix cars that it seems like a ripoff.

HA! See.....some of you smoked cigs or willie during school time, hung out with bf's, etc. I just went off to the beach! Never even tried willie till much older. Actually I think I was quite rebellious as my parents had divorced when I was just 12-13, then dad married right away, mom dated soon after (dated my step dad for 9 yrs...waited waaaay past we all left home to marry him, very smart of her, he was a gem!). I straightened out when I left home at 18, moved to the mainland, and got married. Since then, *mostly* been on the straight and narrow. Been thru some tough chit though, but proud to say I was the one taking the abusive, not the one giving it. Well, NOT proud, but it was easier to take the abusive, as I wasn't able to do the same back to them, just could't. Not in my nature.

Noooo Lori, you DO look like one of Charlies Angels, still to this day!! Well, YOUNGER than they are now!!! In "my day" sometimes people thought I looked like Suzanne Pleshette....only us older gals would remember her! One guy even came to where I worked and was in awe that "she" was there, took a long time convincing him I was NOT her. OH, for those days of looking young, and looking good....*sigh*.... But I never did take any sexy pics like you did....you look GOOD, girlfriend!!! I did do some Glamour Shots after I met my DH, was in my upper 40's and of course, they always turn out good. AND I was thin then....

NM, Good to know about Book Bub....I might check that out too. Yeah, that time my mom got by TSA with her large size prune juice bottle filled with vodka, we had done the same thing but put it in our checked bag. WELL, we get on the ship, and her carryon goes thru the machine, with nothing detected. OUR prune juice bottle got taken out of our suitcase and we had to go "down below" to sign off on it, with all the others who got caught. How embarrasing!! They kept it and "emptied" it, so they say. But some people had listerine and scope bottles that looked like green liquid, so I guess they colored the vodka or clear rum!!! I mean, there were TONS of confiscated stuff. Even curling irons...but those people got them back after the cruise. Its ridiculous that they don't allow you to bring likker onboard! Their prices are astronomical. A few yrs ago, a guy was bragging to me on the ship that he smuggled a 24 pk of beer onboard!!!

Chrissy, I find it fascinating that the US brands, Ford, and GM, had models just made for overseas markets! Wonder if they were made overseas too? I had never heard of Ford Cortina, Ford Morris (till Ayson mentioned it too), or GM Holden. Oh, how awesome you had a Mercedes too!!! On the island of Madeira, Portugal, the cabs are all Mercedes, and are sooo nice. I think the cab drivers get a big discount or something, so the taxis are always nice. The only NEW car I bought, from the showroom, was my Subaru wagon, it was very plush and had all the extras on it. Forget what the name of it was, but wasn't the Forester, like yours. I loved it, however it was a lemon and had to trade it in after my DH died. Just kept getting stuck places in it, even though we had the engine rebuilt TWICE. It was so pretty, but just didn't last, I think our first breakdown was just at 20k miles. This was also the only one we bought the warranty on, and they just laughed when I tried to do a claim with that!!!

Bernie, I have never seen such a nice Hyundai! Very sharp looking! I love the drinking thing, about waking up next to a dead person. OMG!!

CynCynCyn, LOL, on your remark ".you bad girl you, I cant see you being bad......so maybe that is a quality in you that the principal also over looked...a devil in disguise". I think that can apply to you too, cause you look SO sweet and SO innocent, and have such a gentle demeanor, I can hardly visualize you doing anything wrong! Only am aware of it because of what you have told us, but really, you SHOULD be able to get by with a lot of chit, because you do have such a nice angelic face!!! And of course you are a wonderfully NICE person, too!!! But omg, your landlord should be tarred and feathered!!! Awful he is just ignoring you. I wonder if there is a tenants protection assn somewhere? Maybe you can see online if you have any rights? I surely think you should withhold part of the rent till he fixes it. BUT don't wanna git ya in twouble, so make sure of your rights first. I love your calling that a "hug myself jacket"....lol...never thought of it that way! OH and the ONLY reason we went to that mall was to go to Jimmy's On The Mall. Ya know, my DH is a big foodie, and we would travel for food! LOL. Really, he used to remember where every restaurant he liked, was. Might not have remembered much else, but the food was always what he liked! I mean any town, he would say "OH, they have that good....(fill in a good restaurant or hole in the wall)". LOL. I think we went in through an outside entrance, so don't even really know what the mall looks like, plus it was over 10yrs ago, prolly more like 12-15 yrs ago).

    KayKay, thats a cure nickname!

Funny when some of our nicknames are longer than our names are! Like "the innocent one" is for Lori! Lori, was I the one that gave you that nickname, many yrs ago??? (Now I have that Beatles song in my head with the part...."many years ago...." from When I'm 64. My hs class wants to do a "When I'm 64" reunion in Vegas next year...as some will be 64 then. Not me of course, I am still 39 and counting...

OK, now I prolly have missed other posts, cuz this took like 30 min to write....lol..hoping for a good day for ALL....don't always mention everyone, mostly just the posts I read write before posting....but ya know mese lubs ya all......

     Good Morning---busy, busy,, busy and as usual---BBBernie I loved u'r picture--so LOL

Cyn I bet u'r landlord will figure let the next guy fix it cuz he doesn't seem to be hurrying up about it--Stupid man.

Alyson tell us as soon as u get results, praying all is good.

Lori I always said u look like Goldie Hahn and I showed u'r pic to Joey (cuz he loves blondes) and he said Kate Hudson--same difference and u might be the innocent one, but u r sexy as hell.If I looked like u innocent would not be the adjective used for me.

Well I will say in my youth people would say I looked like Sophia Loren. I never saw it I thought I looked more like Sophie Tucker (old peeps would know that oneP)

Kat u'r another innocent one but u can shoot someone if u want to. And not miss. And I've hardly know any of those cars, never heard of them---well of course a few I knew) but they might have called them something else here???

NM I'm so glad u have Sadie--she's a joy for u and why wouldn't she be. And I think 'r right about cats, but of course I have one that just loves cuddling so she's always next to me and even goes to the bathroom with me so she's a little crazy but I love it and she lets me use here body as my pillow.

You know I was thinking about HS too and I feel so bad when people say those years for them were terrible--I loved all of my school years and had so much fun even going to a Catholic school and my GF's I still see have said the same thing-Just laughing all the time in and out of class--that was a wonderful time of life and not  enough kids enjoy it anymore. My GF's brother use to race so on weekends we'd go ojt of town and watch him and we met Paul Newman--and we were supposed to act normal, cuz he didn't like a fuss about him. Yea right Paul Newman we acted like idiots but he was very nice and georgeous to look at with those blue eyes. I told him he could have his way with me--and my GF's said the same thing. My GF's brother quickly apologized and took us away and we were not allowed next to him-Chit How could I ever act normal? That was exciting to us anyway. And altho I was kept strict I could go cuz my GF's father always went and we'd get ut own room. so my parents were find with that. Ad my parents liked them, even thos her father let us drink--but so did mine so--that was not a big deal those days. My friends those days called me Cinderella cuz the only restriction I had was to be home on time  (earlier than most) but I could go outn7 nights a week justbe home on time and never asked where I went. Now I'm going on and on about nothing tho--as I usually do.

Lara I really don't have fearnet on here I've looked but it's all still so confusing--but there are scary movies so I'm OK---I hope u' feeling better, I always say that and I know u;r not but I think mayb today is the day.

OK I'll shut up for now---just for now--so I'll be back Bwahahaha

LMAO Bernie!!! Awwwww that isn't fair, to be alone on such important events. I was wondering what you were going to do on your birthday, but never thought of you being there alone. Rib Roast sounds awesome, I love that!!!! Darn it, well we will jest have to partay here with you, is that ok? Yes, expensive wine....you deserve that and more! OH, I see you DID get more....got a new handbag too! Ok, thats enough presents. NAH, jest kidding, I hope you get showered with love, even though from afar! Will Sinead remember your bithday? And is she still there? Of course, she can't drink though, but maybe could do something fun with you? Love the anniversary wheel!

Cami, omg you met Paul Newman...how awesome!! And I love what you and your gf's said to him!!! soooo funny!!! I can just picture that. AND OMG Sophia Loren....wowsa! She is STILL beautiful, and I know you are too! I love all your stories, they are so funny, yet true! I didn't enjoy high school, was a very small semi-private school, and since none of us lived near the school, we mostly had diff friends outside of school that we did things with. I think too, because of the divorce, so those were not fun years. Nice to hear all the fun you had, and Dorkie had, and others had! BUT now my classmates (we were voted the most apathetic senior class), are getting so close to ea other, and like I said before, there are monthly pau hanas, etc. Mostly just a small group goes to them, but they email pics, and we all email ea other a lot, so its nice now!

OK, gotta run, told my mom I would take her on errands, and pick up their med refills, and HOPEFULLY she has left the suitcase packed. When I called this ayem she only found an empty one, and my heart sank, but later on she found it. Well now that she found it, I hope she just adds a few things and DOES NOT unpack it!!! LOL.

    Toodles...

Wahine, Morris Motors was a separate company until the late 80s and nothing to do with Ford. Ford made different cars for the European market, Our Escort was a European model, some were made in Australia. In the US this last trip the cars looked much more similar though they had different names. DH drive a V6 Holden which is like a bigger Chevy.

I am jealous about the talk of high school going on because I missed four years school getting over polio (another story) but did make up for it my first two years away at University!!!!

Now not too much drinking ladies until us down under can join in. Chrissy is always late but suspect she has had a tipple with lunch, though she had better be careful cause she has to drive to the city today.

Orange, hope DH is doing well.
