No snow here goils. Well there were a few flurries a couple of winters ago and we would be right up the creek if it did because we don't have the infra- structure to cope with it. It snows in the mountains of South Island and in the central North Island where we have world class skiing. The south gets two or three good snow storms a year which always cause havoc.
OKs I really dose need a big drink but will have to wait for later. My family is sending me more cuckoo than normal, well actually my sister's family. They would makes great sitcom but no one would believe it. Da problem I ends up having to sort tings out and Ise so sick of it.

Oh my Lori in the 70's hmmm--well we're not. LOL But Most of the storms are going all over the place this time even south, which is a little unusual for this time especially they are having a lot of snow and ice and all around us. I think we're getting snow but no one is really saying how much--could be a little or loads cuz they don't know. I watch on the news all the weather stuff and cars are just rolling into cars and trucks--it's a mess. I'm sure everyone's premium will be raised after this winter.

Lori, we have had 14" of snow so far but it is shrinking due to rain. We are supposed to get part II of the storm later this afternoon into tomorrow. I am planning on taking my Dad to visit my Mom and my Aunt in the next few hours while we are in the "calm of the storm before de next storm". I am berry tankful that mese neighbor, Michael Jordan, took his snow blower up my sidewalks and driveway. my car does well in de snow, I have a fancy schmancy "snow" button on de car which really works well.

Well my DD2 just quit her job--she wouldn't go out with him --fine then he was treating her bad but this is the kicker he asked her to see if she had a GF she would fix up with him and he'd pay my DD---her words--Jagoff, I quit. hahaha she's no pimp--shit I would have done it, for the money but he would have asked for the money back so no sense in it. My DD can't take that stuff, I could and so could my other DD1 but not her==we'd just handle it but she's not like that. Oh well, she'll look for something else in that type of work PT. I'm glad my SIL will make her feel better about all this, she gets over upset and that always scares me a little. She's my bi-polar one, the other one is my Diabetic one--what a family we have.

Our dear fearless leader Chevy has a broken left hip. She crossed the road to avoid ice, she stated in the interview and this rock got under left foot. She turned her ankle and fell. This was early today 2/13/14. She's been in the hospital all day. She's on Morphine, but she has her wits about her. Her humor intact. Doesn't sound loopy at all. Her DD is at her side, as is DH.
Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at 2 pm, 2/14/14. ORIF --Open reduction internal fixation(long rod and screws). She expects to be in the hospital for two days after surgery. Rehab in hospital for two days after surgery. May go to rehab facility. That will be decided later for sure.
She can't post here because the hospital keyboard is too complicated (shut-up Cami).
She wasn't happy that this stupid injury interfered with her planned casino trip.
She asks that Cami do the AM post reviews in the morning on each of her threads.(Thanks Cami).

Hi all. Well my DH asked me today, what can u make with Kahlua and vodka, so I googled it. Now listen carefully, cuz ise only gonna says this oncette. Parrently 1/2 Oz Kahlua, 1/2 Oz Baileys an 1 1/2 Oz of vodka poured layerlike in a martini glass *hic* or poured ober crushed ice is a wonderful *hiccup* drink. Truss me on dis. Cuz ise woodnt lies to youse. Burp!

OK so, we buried my FIL today. He's with mom now. 66 years of marriage and all he wanted since she passed was to join her. 3 years he waited. I was proud of my kids and gkids today. I even managed to have a nice moment with my son and DIL last night at the motel. We played cards, laughed over DH's incessant losing, had a nice time forgetting for a few minutes.

I told Chevy not to go anywhere to much ice in CO but she just had to go to the casino, well she tried to avoid ice but wack she fell anyway--ooohh I told her now she'll have more screws to worry about. I just got done talking to her - she sounded good thank God for morphine now we'll see how well this goes. I hope her healing goes quickly and easy for her.
Red that drink really sounds good also sounds familiar to me but then again I go back a long way with alcohol.

Damn didn't sleep much at all last nite-Just one of those nites nothing bad. I hope u all had a good nites sleep. And whoever is in this recockulous weather is safe, just be very careful, I think there are a lot of slippery places that don't look slippery when walking. Well Lori, Julie, Aly, Cyn--oh chit a lot of u don't have to give this a second thought but some of us have to give it a first thought. And it's Fried-day and Valentine's day so that's a great way to end the week for most. Makes no difference to me.
Talk about a worrier my DD thought we'd be mad about her walking out. She knows better, but that's how much she was worked up and then Joey thought we would loose the house--I said to him she works 3 days a week how much do u think she makes laughing--he got so upset, he's like her chit. I assured him we would be fine.Insanity here. Oh well I have to get some sleep before I start my job hahahaha my big job.

now being covered with a layer of sleet.I'm not going to go out to work for a bit, need my driveway and road
plowed before heading out.The good news
is that I have my own car back, with no more check engine light on!So the go-buggy is good to go for while

back, I had let the gas tank get VERY empty just before the hitching started,
so I probably stirred up some grunge or got some condensation in the gas
line.I had put in a bottle of dry gas,
drove the car around the yard for a few minutes and it was still hitching, I
think I hadn't let it run long enough.Still, it's worth it to me to know the check engine light wasn't for a
real problem, it was, and I quote, "signaling an engine performance
change."And they replaced the
blown out dome light bulb, for free!Send some of that 70 degree weather up this way, lets get the spring
melt started!!!!!Cammy--all the ice
in the south and other places it doesn't usually happen that salt supplies are
becoming a problem.There was someone
from Rhode Island getting salt from a company here in Maine recently, according
to a news story last night.Even sand
supplies are getting low!Property taxes

Other Food1 slice Lemon

Place one ice cube
in the glass and add 1 1/2 oz of Advocaat. Fill up the glass with lemonade and
decorate with a slice of lemon. Serve at once.Side note: Some drink recipes say to "serve at once." I've often wondered, are there really people out there who mix a drink and don't drink it as soon as it's ready?
