I'M HOME! But oh so busy catching up with house work, laundry, getting ready for Lilian (gal from Taiwan) and her niece on Wednesday. They leave Sunday and so do we, for our last camping trip, back to Utah. But the forecast doesn't look good. Hoping by then it changes. Then when we get back from camping, I have just a few days home AGAIN, and I'm off to MI. Usually I respond to everyone as read, in Word. But this time I just read.

Genny, your ROM could return. I can remember that I wasn't able to use my right arm to reach around and scratch my back, but in time, I am now able to do that. Yay you for doing the 5K, and doing it whilst getting sick! The dogs are adorable! Is Nora going trick or treating?
Cami, you must rattle when you walk, all those pills! What all did you find out at the docs and what tests are you having? Meds are horribly expensive. My FU pills are $1000 for one week worth! Hoping things get better for you guys financially, real soon.
Sue, I too am sleeping a lot. I guess from the fatigue. Whenever you mention going to St. George, I just picture that beautiful gorge! As for Facebook, I think you just disabled it. I'm not sure you can "delete" it, not sure. But what was the reason you did that? You might be able to log back in, if nothing else but to see pictures.

1 of my new meds increased the tiredness so just curled up on top of the rabbit hole but weaning myself off that one.the new pain meds working well

Mary - glad u getting back into the yoga, that and mayb senior Zumba will be what try in a few weeks. The pool we use recently was cleaned and refilled…water is sooo damned cold, I shiver the whole time.
Lowee - Yay you are home but heck sounds like you have a very full schedule thru Thanksgiving. Glad u finding some time to post as I really miss you when u can't. We give our dogs rice when we have it. They love it. Last night I made red quinoa and they loved that too. Thought it might affect their bm's but both seem normal.
Julie - thanks for curling up over the wabbit hole. I see doc tomorrow, gonna talk to her about an anti-depressant. We shall see. Glad pain pills working, what are you taking?
Went shooting w/dh. He forgot the ear-muffs so we used spent shell cartridges. Well, one fell out just as dh squeezed off a round. Now my hearing is jacked. All the rest of the day yesterday he sounded like his mouth was full of cotton, I had to keep asking him to repeat himself. Feel better this morning but still hearing this squeaking in my ears. If it doesn't go away I guess I shud see an audio specialist, idk.

Evening everyone. I had a rough and busy weekend. The fashion show was sooooooo much fun! I really liked it. I dont have too many pictures my hubby didnt take any
but a friend of mine from church was there and he took some. My EEG is actually on the 19th I have been messing things up alot lately. Dont know if its from all my meds, or my memory but Im having trouble keeping my life straight. Im all out of money now and we may have to sell our house. My DH is calling the Mortgage company to see what he can do there. I am looking at new homes in the mean time.
I have seizures pretty much on a daily basis right now. None too bad just tremmors basically. I had alot of pain in my hip yesterday it was wierd. Like a sharp stabing pain a 10 out of 10. It was bad. Lasted most the day. Had some today as well. Not sure why. I dont know if Tamoxifen causes that or not?
Gotta go to bed. Love you all and catch up more in the AM here is what I have on the fashion show.

Tomorrow is the day that I apply for mese passport. I am concerned as the application states that I must have a birth certificate with mese parents names on it, wtf, my parents names are not listed on mese birth certificate. I will show up anyway and see what is needed. I still have 3.5 months so hoping I can get it ontime. Otherwise, mese gonna be in trouble with mese girls.
Nancy, how sad that you might have to sell your house. I sure hope that the mortgage company will help you. I am praying for you to feel better and have those damn seizures just stop. I feel so bad for ya.

LDB, I had to laff at you putting a bullet shell in your ear, but didn't like that it fell out right when DH was shooting. I hope that doesn't give you problems. I have been thinking of Maddy lately when I get out of the shower and comb my hair. I have been using Johnson's No More Tangles, and really does help.
Nancy, I am so so sorry about the seizures, just wish they could get those under control. As for being "confused" I think we can all relate to that. Please let your onc know about the hip pain. Hips are a common place for mets, it's where some of mine went, along with the spine. I don't want to scare you, but better to be safe. Good luck on the mortgage issue.

Mema I do still drive myself but very limited on where I can go. I cant drive at night or on the highway and I can only drive short distances. I am not supposed to drive when I am feeling tired or bad. Which I dont do.
We may have to sell the house because we are living now just on my husbands income. We went through what I had in savings and my retirement. I paid my medical bills and some other things off with my settlement and the last two years we lived off my retirement. I cant get infront of the disability judge until next August or Sept and my husband doesnt bring in enough for our mortgage. Its a pain.
One way or another it will work out. Lori it looks like you had a good trip. I see all of my Oncologist next month so I will let them know about my hip pains.
I get my lung scan next month too. Hopefully the nodule is still the same.

Good morning, Loungettes!Happy Hump Day!FYI--I've got a doc's appointment at 7:15 tomorrow ayem, so won't be on here first thing tomorrow.Going to get everything ready tonight to take Sadie and go to Auntie Linda's Bed, Breakfast and Boarding Kennel after work tomorrow, to start the long weekend off and visit with my cousin.Will be taking the Kindle, will check in with that, but probably not early ayems.Unless Sadie gets me up at our usual time, which could happen!But Auntie Linda is often up very early and Sadie goes and visits with her in the early ayems.Auntie Linda keeps special treats for the doggies who come to visit her--each visiting doggie has his/her own special treats!No spoiling going on there!

Collett--Have you been in touch with the mortgage company?If you play the cancer card you may be able to get a reduction of the payment or even a break until you get in front of the disability judge.Do you have a disability lawyer?Seems there should be some way of getting that settled sooner than next fall.

Nancy, almost a year before you can see the judge???That is just crazy! One thing about the disability, if you DO get it, they do give you retroactive pay. Have you actually gone into a government office that does disability, and talk to someone?

That is when I post mine, but my reasoning is because I don't want people to know we are gone (you goils don't count). Is your appointment just for check up? Is it onc? Lowee - ooops u right, no more tangles…LOL. My hair is growing slowly, but at least long enuf to get a teeny skinny curling iron around it. DH said he likes my totally gray hair short like it is, so will probably keep it this length. My ear the same, guess I'll have to call the audiologist later today or tomorrow. My appt went well. We talked about anti-d's, she thought I was on Zoloft. Was genuinely surprised when I told her no, not on any anti-d's. So I guess they were gonna call it in. Drug store usually calls to let me know it's filled but haven't heard from them yet, idk.
NM - I can't run either, shin splints, quite painful. Ur weekend plans sound marvelous and that your cuz spoils the pooches is a good thing too. I can drink all but the Jaeger, that stuff is like cough syrup, ick.
Dara - I don't have a birth cert w/my parents name on it either. One I have is from the hospital and they would not accept that. Had to write AZ and because my id doesn't show my real 1st name, they wudn't send one to me. I dropped my 1st name when I married DH over 20 years ago. I had to send all kinds of paperwork (bills, tax returns etc) was a real pia, but they accepted it and mailed me my passport. Any news on baby david and Jennika?
Nancy - I'd take advice already given and go in person and play the cancer card, you shouldn't have to live with all that stress. Praying you don't have to sell ur home and that you can get a better handle on the seizures. Glad you are limiting your driving, those seizures are scary chit.

I know what a mystery woman u are, but parents I know u have them and u can't just write them in. U might have to get in touch with the place u were born (if it's still on the map) and get a certified copy. I have my original--It's so old it's on black paper with white writing. But at least u'r trying.
OK Nancy, u might be able to pay just u'r interest if u can get a hold of u'r Mortgage Co. and they'll need paperwork to verify cancer and Seizures, but it would be beneficial for u to check that out. And one yr. til u see the judge for disability? What are u talking about? please explain this to me, cu that doesn't even make sense at all--Lawyer or no lawyer that's absurd. What kind of disability are u going for, for it to be so long? U know I have to know all this cuz it doesn't make sense at all. I have to think this thru and again u all know this. Now is u'r DH meet any standards for Reverse Mortgage? Cuz that's an idea but a last idea I would consider. Of course if u really want to move, but if not explain things to me please. But remember I really don't know much.

Hi girls,
I could not apply for the passport and I am worried that i may never get it. Apparently, the new law went into effect several years ago stating that the parents names must be on the birth certificate. I was given a phone number and a website to try to get an updating birth certificate.the web page does not work and when I call the fn phone number, I was given a run around then got to an fn recording that where the speech was all broken up and can't understand the instructions. I am so pissed, I have my original birth certificate but that is not good enough. I will work on the issue more another day, I am spent!

Oh OH Dara are u sure u have the actual BC not the hospital Cert? Now here we go again. What state and county were u born in. Did u call the county court house where u were born==that's where u BC is--no one else will have the original, then u'll get a certified copy of the BC from them in just a couple of days, if it's to far to travel to get it. Well that's how Ill does it. It's really simple. U've got to get it, u don't want to miss the cruise and maybe hold off with the job thing until after the cruise or right around that time at least. I can'r believe it's only a few months away. U gals are going to all meet and have a wonderful time.

Hi girls, only a sec to pop in, got to get pooches walked a get to work and oh it's still so dark outside. I wrote a long post the other morning then never finished it and never posted it. So I got a few days catchin up to do but will have to wait til later.
Dara, I did not have a real birth cert for a long time, they issued this laminated thing to my mom when I was born and only did it for 1 year and no one had ever seen one like it so when I was in my 30's I went to the bureau of vital statistics and showed them what I had and my drivers license ad they gave me a birth cert. Like Cami said real easy. I don't want to pay the rest of my deposit on the trip till I find out if you're going to go, can't afford the room by meeseself. We have until Nov 10th.... ugh, hope this works out! People loose them in house fires and such, not that hard to get one. Just call the BVS where you were born, I think it was the same office as SSI but not positive.

Lilian and her niece arrived yesterday. I made a meat loaf, mashed taters and corn for dinner, only to learn that the niece doesn't eat beef! Was also planning on making a beef roast one night. Guess I'll do some chicken and salads instead. My mom is back in the hospital and my son is not speaking to me. I guess his sister called and ripped him a new one, telling him that everyone was disappointed in him, that's he's lazy and doesn't do a damn thing. I had given both of my kids $1000.00 because I was getting my disability money. Well my son just blew his, plus he blew $1000.00 income tax money and $500.00 that he got at Xmas from his other grandma. Told me he had to give it to my mom for rent. Well my mom says he didn't. So someone is lying! So his sister told him I wasn't going to give him anymore money. He thinks me and my brothers should buy him a car for all of these years he has taken care of my mom!!! WTF? His dad gave him a truck to use, but only for 6 months. It saddens me he feels this way towards me, when I have all this RB chit to deal with.Things not going well with the other business either. He has $72.00 in his bank account, owes electrician $10,000.00 tomorrow and electric bill of $7000.00 today! Landlord going to throw him out if that doesn't get paid! OY VEY!

End-Of-Summer Cocktail: Blackberry Bliss
Trust us, sipping on a "Blackberry Bliss" is just what you and your guests need right now.
To whip up one of these, you will need:
- 6-8 plump fresh blackberries
- 1/2 ounce of orange juice
- 1 teaspoon of regular white sugar
- 1/2 of a lime, cut into wedges
- 2 ounces white rum
- ice cubes
To concoct this amazing drink, begin mashing up the blackberries, sugar and a couple of lime wedges in a shaker. Then, go ahead and add the vodka, the orange juice and the ice into the shaker and shake, shake, shake. And then shake some more.
Once it is properly shaken and your ingredients are properly mixed, remove the lime wedges and pour the liquid into a glass. For an extra punch, stick a lime wedge on the side of the glass and toss in a few frozen blackberries.

I have an appt for the audiologist on Monday. Everyone sounds like they are in a tin barrel or something, and the squeaking is maddening. Saw my onco, had to call to see what was up with the meds. Thot she was going to put me on Zoloft, but she picked a stronger one called Lexapro. The se's are scary but I'll start with ½ a pill and see how it goes.
Cami - we have several guns and dh makes sure I know how to use them just in case. Am afraid this might b permanent but will try not to worry til I see the doc on Monday. Hey hey, won't be long now til you, Lori, and Mary meet up. Am sad u not going on cruise tho, would love to meet you. Maybe someday. You cwack me up with ur advice to Dara and 'if it's still on the map', made me LOL. Can't wait to hear about 'getting your pills'!
Dara, can't remember who said it but Bureau of Vital Statistics is who you need to contact. BVS is usually housed somewhere in your birth states capitol. What state were u born in? Puleese keep trying. All good news for me from the docs. Will get more testing next month or early Dec. For your resume, see if the library has a program that you can use to clean-up/up-date your resume.
Nancy - good advice from Cami about paying just interest, tacking on the rest of payment on to the end. I pray you can get it all worked out.
Mary - ur info good for Dara, was ur BVS in the capitol city? Hope she gets it so the two of you can come play with us on the cruise. I paid my remaining cost for the cruise so except for 'check in' I'm good to go.

LDB, it's my SON, not my brother. But he called me this morning and everything is good. He was very hurt at the things his sister said to him, then he got mad. He just needed a few days to calm down and get his emotions together. Can't wait to see him and give him a big HUG! Yippee for all good news for you. I am just sawry about yer hearing. Hope the Lexapro works for you. I just can't make myself take more pills, but I'm doing mucho better and was able to "donate" my pills.

Mary, I have already paid for my room so if I do not get to go, I would still think that you will get the room for half the price? I don't know. I will not procrastinate long in getting these docs ordered. I just hope i do not get the same document that I already have, that would stink.
I am just beside myself over all of this, so frustrating. i have got to get it done. It says it can take up to 12 weeks to get it though. I will likely have to pay for an expedited passport. Oy vey!

SusyQ I see that on TV all the time when a gun shot goes off, as long as u didn't damage u'r ear inside, it takes a while to heal. So hopefully it's something external inside.
NM hope all went well, my Onc made an app't with me for 3 months this time, I was up to every 4 months, that's why I hate Drs. So I hope u'rs stays the same.

Dara this sounds like u'r on the right track, well I have gotten a BC before but never a passport so that's all I know. I think they'll let me have one, but the way I write to everyone I might be on some list.
OK my pill story----Dan (my boss) wet to Jewel Osco to get them, well they close at 10PM and he got there at 10:15--So Osco was all closed but he could hear voices behind the walls, so he knocks and they said sorry we're closed. The he tell them these pills are for a very sick old lady and they actually said OK (but like I said he's handsome and charming) OK now especially since a couple of the drugs have narcotics he has to give some details about me--he calls--my phone is turned off--I didn't know cuz it never happened before---then he said well what are the questions so they said what is her address, he said don't know. date of birth , don't know, is she a relative? yes she's my aunt, wait no she isn't All right Ill call my Grandma she'll know--Well my cousin (Joanne) answers and he asks her what's her address, she hasn't a clue--OK what's her BD? she tells him 4/29/47--it's 5/18/45--OK how is she related,,,well she's a cousin somehow removed cuz she's not u'r first cousin-Nobody knew one thing about me--this is my close family--well they gave him the pills--So the next day I called my cousin and said how could u think I was born in 1947 and she says because I'm 9 years older than u. LOL (me) I said u'r 6 yrs older and she argues with me as we're LOLing she said she was 9 when I was born and she remember that and she's always been 9 yrs. older. I had to tell her she's 6 yrs older just like my sister--Now we're the ones the 3 of us that are super close and all this time--she's as goofy as they come. See it's all in my family. Well it was funny at the time My pill story--And Osco has never opened for anyone we ever knew-Oh he stay til midnite and his friends were over at his house too. His wife is so sweet.
OK I just took one of my new meds, I never ever think a thing of taking anything but this one I feel nerveous so I'm waiting for a SE like now--Les is LOLing at me cuz she had to give me a pep talk--I know it's silly, but for some reason this bothers me. Oh well. Leslie's getting close to being done with school, so far she has aced everything--this wil be a new adventure for sure.

Heading to town today, will have lunch out and I will not be cooking dinner for all of us. DH and I pretty much just have an early dinner and something small for breakfast. Granola bar, bowl of cereal, etc. These gals eat 3 times a day or more! Glad we are going out today!
