    Kathy,

Yes, you are so right... cyber drinks with no hot flashes afterward!  I don't like spending $100 for champagne either.  My dh bought a bottle awhile ago, and it wasn't TOO expensive, but I didn't care for it... I think it was too dry.  Oh, I remember... It was for my birthday, In April!!

Hope everyine is doing well, and hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend!

Now this is my kinda thread!....Craved a beer today.  Had a dark Dos Equis (w/mom & dad)Tongue outand was it good.  Haven't started treatment yet but I've got my tests next week so the nerves are itching. It's been quite a week.

Hope you're feeling better Laura. I'll be starting my treatment 2nd wk of Aug.

I'll remember to not drink my favorite drink during chemo.

    Cheers everyone!

Welcome, jeannine!   Laura--we're all hanging out here, what was your question?  Go ahead and post--someone will jump in to answer it.

More kids/grandkids left yesterday...just in time--air conditioner has just stoped working and it is going to be mighty miserable--hope we can get someone out tomorrow--we knew it was on its last leg two years ago, so think we are looking at a whole new heat pump unit--Yikes!!!   I might have to quit drinking to pay for it! ....nahhhh--will figure something else out!  But, got to get it fixed--more kids/grandkid coming next week!!!

Best wishes to you all starting/doing chemo.   I was able to enjoy a couple beers a day during my tx; was never nauseated and for sure didn't lose my taste for ML.   My worst side effect was the fatigue--but, you get through it!  big huggggssssssss

That was my question.. The first four days after AC.. I had no desire for cocktails... But Friday, I poured a glass of wine.. YUK! OH NO I thought.. so I will NOT have wine ( as I love it so) until after Chemo....

BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Beer tasted awesome! I had three last night and three today.. Now I still wonder, even though Onco did not tell me 3 was to many.. she just said it would be fine.

Now I still worry I am making Chemo not work or something. Beer really settles the stomach I found.. anyone  wanna tell me what they know about Chemo and booze... LOL

    Love and peace,

Had a cookout today and enjoyed 2 mexican beers! Haven't had beer for a few weeks (had wine and bourbon/diet coke though!). Was nice to unwind...I hope everyone had a nice weekend!!! Glad you enjoyed the beer, Laura...sometimes it just hits the spot, doesn't it! Not sure about chemo and booze, but someone will come on here that does. I am still nervous about what my dr will tell me tomorrow about my CT scan last week....and today was the first time I had TWO drinks since knowing there might be a problem with my liver.

junie, hope you can get someone out quickly for your a/c!!! We thought we needed a new one a few weeks ago, but our a/c guy was able to keep it working...so hope it will limp along for a bit longer. If you need a new one, hope it won't be too many $$$, but that is VERY wishful thinking! Make sure you have a few ML's before you get the price...lol. I know you want if fixed before the next set of kids/grandkids visit. Best of luck on that!

Take care everyone, and party hearty!

    kathy

P.S this is funny....as I was writing this, got an invite in my email to be on a consumer advisory panel for Miller/Coors! Junie, would forward it on to you as much as you love your ML, but it was tied in to my email, so don't know how you can get an invite. Anyway, I like ML and Coors too, so filled it out..WTH.

I was told ONE drink a day was fine, but I cut back during chemo.  I found that I just didn't enjoy it as much as I used to.  As I posted earlier, though, I had a drink after my FIRST tx, and throughout my tx, I would have a drink before dinner, sometimes.  My dh was pushing the drinks on me, so I drank MORE than I really wanted.  I was just afraid I would somehow mess up the effects of the chemo.  Stupid, I guess.  Then, after my LAST tx, I went out to dinner with some friends, and my dh bought a bottle of champagne and we shared it with our friends. I had a glass of champagne.  It's my favorite!!
After I finished my tx, I read that you shouldn't drink your favorite drinks, and while I was still getting tx, I did drink Capt. Morgan & Diet Coke, which I also like alot, but it just didn't taste right.  I couldn't taste the vanilla in it.  But, now I can drink it again.

Kathy, I like ML and Coors, too!  Also, my new favorite beer is Miller Chill.

    Cheers!

Hi Harley, I haven't heard of Miller Chill...will have to try that. We will be at the casinos tomorrow until Thursday, and get free drinks, so if they have it, I will try it! I am having one regular drink, and then finishing up the diet coke (or pepsi) w/out bourbon, so it FEELS like I'm having two drinks!

I got good news today--my liver is fine!!! SO, at least I can have the one drink a day. I will have more sometimes, like.....TOMORROW at the casinos, but will try to have one when at home.

Glad to hear the Capt. Morgan and diet coke tastes good to you again. I have never had that...is Capt Morgan rum or bourbon? ANd tastes like vanilla too? Sounds good.

    Bottoms Up (Okole Hau),

    Kathy,

Yes, Capt Morgan is spiced rum, and it tastes like vanilla!  Miller Chill is one of those new "lime" flavored beers, and it tastes light, and goes down so smooth, especially in this awful heat we've been having!

Congratulations on your GOOD NEWS, about your liver!  YAY!!

Enjoy the casinos!  I am very unlucky, so I don't gamble at all, but on our last cruise, I did enjoy a glass of FREE champagne in the casino!

    Hey Wahine,

I had the bilateral mastectomy so I could keep on drinking.  Take that carcinogen monster!

I love champagne and the Italian version.  I have a bottle of Dom from a friend for after the exchange surgery, but I like the cheaper stuff.

    Good evening All

Wow Harley..how did you get free champagne in the ship casino? They are soooo tight there! We are going on a Princess cruise in Oct., and I know we will lose some in the casino....LOL. I can't wait to try the Miller Chill....thanks for telling me about it. And thanks for the congrats--we are so very relieved!

Carol, I had the bilat and recon too, but after this liver scare, I realized I had better not have 2 drinks every single day..so am TRYING to cut back! Not fun, though. When is your exchange surgery? Mine is Sept. 22. Hope you enjoy your champagne after your surgery!

Enjoy your wine, Sandy!!! Looks like we need some more drinkers here.....

    Take care everyone,

    Sandy,

Great news that they got CLEAN margins!!  I'll drink to that!  Laughing

    Kathy,

Congrats on the good news about your liver!  Good news always deserves a drink, to celebrate!   I am going to see a gyn onc today about my THICK endometrial stripe, and may be getting a hysterectomy.  Seems like it's always something, and I hate having to worry about cancer again!  So I totally understand your fears!  That damn Tamoxifen!

The cruise line was Holland America, and I just LOVE CRUISES!  They had a party on the main deck, and I may have had a FREE glass of champagne there, I don't remember.  Then when I heard that they were serving FREE champagne in the casino, I told my dh, "let's go to the casino to get some more FREE champagne!"  I think I may have had one more there, because they  just walked by VERY fast, with the tray of drinks!!   DH seems to remember it differently, and he thinks I had TWO glasses in the casino!

Where are you going on your Oct. cruise?  I just LOVE cruises, I don't even care where I go!  We are going in Feb. on an Oceana cruise line cruise, to the Caribbean, and I can't wait!  I hear it's nice!  I have never been on this cruise line.

Sometimes, I think this thread gets slow, when everyone is busy on the other threads, talking about bc, and getting their annual checkups and all that stuff.  I haven't been here for awhile, since I've been concentrating on these stupid tests, and that endomtrial stripe!

    Harley,

Hope things go well with your gyn onc visit today...not fun having to look forward to a hysterectomy--I had it when I was 42, and no probs but the gyn said I had a fibroid and it had to come out--I was ignorant of this at the time, but in retrospect would have waited and seen what happened. Didn't like having an earlier menopause! My DD just had hers this year, and she was just 30--but had bad probs w/ endometriosis(sp) for yrs--had 2 laproscopies where they tried to get it out, and took $500 injections (6) when she was just 17--it put her in a temp menopause, but didn't stop the symptoms! I have not heard of an endometrial stripe, so not sure of what that involves, but it doesn't sound like anything good. I am sorry that you have it. And once we have cancer, EVERYTHING takes a second look, and it is so scary, I know. I will be wishing the best for you today!

Yes, we have been on Holland America often--like the free drinks/champagne parties w/ captain and the one w/repeat guests. (Don't remember them in casino, but may have missed it when they had it). They used to give champagne when you boarded (yrs ago). We like Royal Carib also, and Celebrity, but this one will be our first Princess cruise, and we have our first balcony too! Going to the carib, St. Martaan, Turks & Caicos, etc. Never been on an Oceania Cruise---bet that will be nice! Oh, did you know on Holland Am, you can get free espresso or cappucino with dinner or lunch in the DR? They don't advertise that! And they have fresh squeezed OJ in the b'fast buffet. We usually sneak a couple of btls of wine/champange in, but then my DH likes to buy the wine package, so we drink a LOT! (Oh darn...LOL).

Well...I will surely be having lots of free drinks at the casinos--we leave soon. Will be thinking of you all! And good luck today, Harley!

    Cheers,

    Kathy

    Kathy,

Thanks!  The gyn onc appt. went ok I guess.  He examined me and said that he doesn't "think" it's anthing to worry about... famous last words!  He thinks I have a polyp, which he says are benign.  But, he wants to do a biopsy, even though I told him that I don't want to keep worrying about these parts that NEVER worked right anyway... he said that he did ONE hysterectomy for a woman who  "DIDN'T NEED IT", and "something went wrong", or "we made mistakes", and she sued him...  now hearing this, I don't want him to operate on me!!  YIKES!  If he screwed up this woman's hyst... I don't want him to do mine!
But seriously, WHY do ALL my drs. want me to hold onto these crappy parts that NEVER worked right??  AND as I told the dr. today, "I am sick of all these tests, & biopsies, and I don't want to have to worry about any of this crap anymore!"  He said.... "Have you had OTHER endometrial biopsies?"  What a stupid man!  ANY biopsy is worriesome, and I don't want to have to worry about this crap anymore!

Oh, the endometrial stripe is something we all have, who still have a uterus, but on Tamoxifen, it gets THICK!  When it gets THICK, we worry about endometrial cancer...  this man is an idiot!  Oh I think I already said that!!

And NOW I will have to start taking Tamoxifen again, since he doesn't want me to come back til AUGUST 21ST!!   and still, I haven't had any satisfactory resolution to my problem, either.  Just hurry up and wait....

Sorry for venting!  I am just really fed up!

Have some more drinks for me!

Darn it, Harley....what a crappy dr! Are there any other gyn onc's there? I don't blame you for not wanting him to operate on you--I ditto that feeling exactly, from what happened before. That probably is hard to find more than one in an area. Could you go to a regular gyn and tell him the probs you are having, and see if he/she will do a hysterectomy, if thats what you want? If you have so many problems, and tests, would that be the best solution? Sorry you have to go on Tamoxifen--I haven't had to go on that, so don't know what is involved, but any drugs are miserable.

Yes..I will def have some drinks for you! Won at blackjack last night, and free buffet, so today enjoyed the pool (water slide!), had a couple of beers, and heading to a slot tournament which we don't usually do--but for free, why not! I still need to try that Miller Chill....maybe in a few minutes. Last night it was all Jack/Diet Coke...cherries in mine!

Vent all you need...thats what we are all here for! Just hope things will start looking up for you! Cheers,

    Kathy,

I'm glad to hear that you won at blackjack last night!  Oh, and FREE buffets are always nice!

I have heard that Princess is nice!  The Caribean is beautiful!  I love the moderate temps., and the beautiful blue water!!

I have NEVER had a gyn that I have liked!!  So sadly, the combination of gyn and onc are not a very good one!  And, NO, I think once they hear all my complicated issues, they will run in the opposite direction!  Can't say I'd blame them, though.

Today I called my regular onc (I think having ONE of them is MORE than enough!), and left a message for his P.A. to please call me back early tomorrow morning.  I have to work tomorrow, and I don't want to miss her call.  She wanted me to call and let her know how it went.  She will definitely get an earful from me!  She said that this guy is VERY GOOD....  I'm not so sure.

It's bad when you can't trust your dr., and I just don't want to keep these parts, and live with the constant fear of cancer.  Maybe my onc's P.A. can convince this guy that the best thing for me and my peace of mind is to have the hysterectomy!  It feels like a ticking time bomb!

I wonder if I had that BRCA gene test, and it was positive, would they just keep that attitude?

Thanks!   Have some more drinks for me!

    Hey,

I posted back in June when I just had one tx under my belt, and was conflicted about having another kind of "belt".  I'm halfway through now, 3 down, 3 to go, and have been enjoying my bourbon & coke poolside every evening....not dead yet!  (From a much earlier question, Kathy, my bourbon of choice is Maker's Mark or Wild Turkey--although they're kinda pricey, so for "everyday" drinks, I drink VOB, which is actually very good--I had a liquor store guy tell me about that once when I complained about the price of Maker's.)  I've felt fine tummy-wise and tastebud-wise through the chemo so far.  I have cut back the drinks from my pre-bc intake though, and lost 10 lbs. in 3 weeks.....could that be from fewer cocktails??  Perish the thought.  Are any of you still in the midst of chemo?

As far as having pictures of ourselves as avatars, that's me, the DH, DD in the background, at the Wildhorse in Nashville.  So there.

    Cheers!

Having a drink for Harley and for Wahine winning at blackjack and for...guess I'm going to get blitzed again!

Harley--here's my Tamox story.   My second chemo tx put me in instant meno and stopped my periods at age 52.   Fast forward a couple of years thru chemo, rads and two years into taking Tamox,  I experienced immediate and profuse bleeding.   Scared me to death.   Found a great Gyn next day who did a vaginal ultrasound.   His first thought was that I had a tamox build-up--said he had treated so many bc patients on tamox--but the ultra sound showed two polyps.   One of them was so large that it had been growing for years before my cancer dx and cancer, tamox notwithstanding.   So, he scheduled surgery and removed the polyps and scraped out the tamox tissue that had built up and told me to finish the tamoxifen.   I finished taking the 5 yrs tamox with no further troubles.   I totally trusted this dr because his wife was also a bc patient.   Hope you can find a good Gyn that you trust.

I would think that an ultrasound would show polyps and if so, should probably think about having them removed.   Although they are benign they can cause other problems, like my heavy unexpected bleeding.   This onc did have biopsies done on the polyps and the lining that he removed just to be sure, but all was fine.

Heavy subject but wanted to share my experience with you........

On to cruises--everyone has so enjoyed their cruises--swear that one of these days we'll book one!   Soon as we get our new heat pump paid for--having contractor coming tomorrow to give us an estimate--know it won't be cheap.  Always something!   Keep that ML truck coming!!!!

    Junie,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with Tamoxifen!  I wonder if this gyn onc can take out the polyp when he does the biopsy?  I don't want to have to undergo more surgery, just to get it out to biopsy it.  I really don't like this guy, even though he didn't act like a total jerk, like all my other gyns.  AND this guy is an ONC, and I have only had problems with all my MALE GYNS and ONC, too!   I am off the Tamoxifen for a short break, and I'm just starting to feel better, and not so bloated and crampy, and the bleeding stopped...  I also had some strange watery discharge for the remainder of a week.  I have no idea what that was about.  This dr. isn't the least bit worried about any of this.  I am 45 but I'm have premature ovarian failure, so I'm post menopausal, and shouldn't be having any of these things.  He refused to do a hysterectomy, and now I'm afraid to start taking Tamoxifen again, since it made my uterine lining grow from 4 mm to 10 mm!!!  I have already had a trans vaginal ultrasound, and it showed this THICK lining, which is suspicious for endometrial cancer... even though this gyn onc doesn't think it is cancer.  The u/s didn't even show the uterine fibroid which I have, and that is why I had been getting these u/s every year.  I don't know what to do.  Thanks, I wish I could find a good gyn too, but no one will see me, since I am now a cancer patient.   I don't know how I got this LARGE TYPE....  Cruises are SO MUCH fun!!  Hope you can try one soon.  Sorry about the heat pump!!   Harley

hugggssss, Harley!  I just lucked into this GYN--found out later he is rated in the top ten in our state.   I thank my lucky stars that he was the one I called--he is so great!

Bring on the all the ML trucks available--just got the estimate for heat pump--holy crap!!!   We totally trust this company so do not feel railroaded in any way--but, whoa--sure gonna put a crimp in some of our plans!   We got a lot of discussing to do tonight!

Hope Wahine is knocking them dead at blackjack!   Told DH that we should just go to Tunica for the 2-3 days it will take for installation of the heat pump and all the other stuff they will do!  He thinks I'm nuts!!!!  But, I think it is a good plan!!!

hugggsssss to all--drinks are on me tonight!!!!

    HI gals!

Well, yesterday didn't do so good at blackjack, but ended up a few $$ ahead, and then with the free rooms and free buffets and free drinks....well, now if they paid for our gas to get there.....just kidding! Barely got home safely a few minutes ago....some jerk (nicer word than I want to say) ran us off the road at the exit b4 ours....don't know if he saw us or not, but he came right over in our lane, right where we were, and DH had to slam on brakes and swerve to the side to avoid him hitting us hard. Then he exited---and I don't even know if he realized he about creamed us. AAARRGG!!!

Terri,I haven't had VOB, usually drink Seagrams7---or Jack Daniels, or Crown....actually almost any bourbon is good...lol. Nice to see the avatar of you, DD, and DH---do you live in N'vlle? We are about a couple of hrs south of N'vlle!

Junie, really sucks how many $$$ the a/c will be---and how necessary! Good idea about going to Tunica to get away from it all---and stay cool while they replace the unit. We need to replace at least one of our (2) units....but it still is cooling, so limping it along for awhile--don't want the sticker shock you are facing! Bummer. Is your family coming this week too--or next week?

Harley, My DH and I both tried the Miller Chill last night, but neither of us enjoyed it--I guess cause it doesn't taste much like beer---but it was fun to try something new, so I am glad you told me about it! Would be a good drink if someone wants something refreshing and tasty though. I hate it that you don't like your gyn drs there. Would it be possible to travel to a neighboring state and have another dr do your surgery, or other procedures? You really need to feel comfortable and confident in your doctors, and it breaks my heart that you don't have that feeling. I can empathize somewhat, as I had a terrible PS at first who was going to do my flap recon---he made both me and my DH feel unwelcome, and that he didn't really care what my outcome would be. I was very upset and felt like I had no choice but to keep my surgery with him--feeling like I would either die or be mutilated by him. Thanks to my family, and the ladies on this site, I was encouraged to find a new PS even just a few days b4 surgery. And that made all the difference in the world! I even changed to having the expander recon instead as he does more of those. I love my new PS and he did a great job, and I even went into surgery HAPPY, and not worried at all. So now, I feel that even if you had to travel, just to find a dr you feel confident in, it would be worth it. Maybe even in just a neighboring city? You know we all care about you here, and want what it in your best interests! I will have to have a drink for you tonight!

Oh, and drinks are on junie tonight, so we should really take advantage of that! Thanks junie!

    Cheers,

    Kathy

Sorry you didn't like the Miller chill.  I usually don't like anything LIME flavored, but it doesn't taste like Lime, either, and you are right it doesn't taste like beer.  I think that is why I like it.

The gyn onc...  I can't go anywhere else, because of my insurance.  I live three miles from the NC/SC state line, but I can't go into SC for any of my medical care... it is a different region of Tricare.  I hate that the military has such sucky insurance, when these men and women put their lives on the line to protect us, and they get treated poorly, when it comes to their health insurance.

I called my regular onc's office, and left a message for my onc's P.A., and she called me today and I told her about my experience.  She said that she will talk to my onc about this and see if they can get me an earlier appt. with either this idiot or someone else.... I am still considering asking to see someone else in his practice.  I think there is even a woman there and she might be better.

But, funny thing happened earlier today.  The center where I saw this gyn onc called me this afternoon, on the premise that they were just calling 'as a courtesy' to see how I enjoyed my gyn visit... Who the HELL enjoys their gyn visits??  Anyway, I told them at first just the general things that bugged me about that place, like having to repeat EVERYTHING, my whole GYN history, to a nurse, and then to the dr. himself, since he never read the notes...  that kind of stuff really annoys me!  So then, as she started to ask for more information about why I was not happy with the visit, I expanded and even gave some specifics about what he did wrong.  The woman was very apologetic, and said that she would talk to his nurse, and have the nurse speak to the dr.

We went to a neighbors house for dinner tonight, and when I got home, the nurse had left me a message, saying that the dr. may call me in the morning.  I really don't want to talk to him... But she also said that they would be calling me to get my pharmacy information, so they can call in a perscription for some Xanax.  When I saw this dr., I asked for something to help with anxiety, and he said "you don't need anything."  He made me feel like a drug addict!  So now I get Xanax!

Sorry to ramble...  I have just NEVER had an experience like this... the woman who called to do this 'survey' said that Dr. G would be very upset to hear that I was unhappy with him...

I had a Blue Moon tonight before dinner.  They are also nice beers!  Anyone drink Blue Moon?

    Have a great weekend!

Hola my BC Borachaz,  (that means happy drunks :)

Wow Harley what a day for you.  I tried getting some anti anx. meds and my Dr. refused too. Why is that?  They obviously don't know what we're going through... right the damn prescription darn it!

Well I'm a newbie here and haven't started treatment yet. Hopefully by 8/11 I will begin. Had my PET scan yesterday. (Pray that it turns out ok) then my bone and mugga next 2 weeks.  I'm stressed ladies because I was diagnosed 7/2 and I won't have chemo till 8/11 if all turns well. I will have surgery later since my baby has spread to my lymph glands,  Shoot should I start looking at plots?

Anywayz I told my dear mgr. and 1 supvsr. @ my job today.  Had me in tears for 1 minute. Couldn't get out the dreadful news...they were extremely supportive. My mgr's sis n law is a survivor and spvsr. sister is one too. Amazing how this disease affects everyone. My Mgr. was amazed at my positive spirit.  (he don't know the truth)

Coming home my 9 yr. old son says he's hungrybefore dinner. Tells me he "needs a snack" . I tell him, "Momma needs a snack too. It's called a "Martini". Boy was it good!  Pear martini to be specific. You can get the mixer @ Cost World Plus. Really hit the spot. On my 2nd now.

    Cheers ladies! Tongue out

Hi Jeannine....and welcome to the open bar! Cracked me up about "momma" needing a snack too...a martini snack! Never had a pear martini...can you taste the vodka in that one? You need a strong drink to deal with cancer dx, treatment, etc.....very, very stressful! You will do fine though...just come here to vent and drink with us!

Harley, Yeah....I didn't taste the lime either...more like grapefruit juice...but yummy if you don't want the beer taste. And really, I was glad to have the chance to try it, so it was neat that you mentioned it.....just not my cup of tea...I mean mug of beer! Sorry that you can't go out of state for care, but how WEIRD that you were called about your "enjoyment" of the gyn visit!!! Very timely though, since you have been worried about it...hope some positive changes will come from it. And hope the dr's call goes well tomorrow---keep us updated on that, ok? No, I have never had a Blue Moon...what is it like? Might try one here tonight, on junie's dime, since the drinks are on her tonight...lol.

Okole Hau everyone (Bottoms Up)....and Jeannie hope the 2nd (and 3rd?) martinis go down smoothly!

    Kathy,

Yes, I do live right outside of Nashville now, but lived in Nashville for most of my life.  The Wildhorse Saloon pic was my daughter's 24th surprise birthday party--it's become a touristy place, but we were there on an off-night and it was lots of fun!  Her best friend invited creaky old mom and step-dad to party with the young'uns.  Where are you?  If they hadn't taken the location info away, we could know these things.....

My DH is also a JD fan, I personally don't like the sour mash stuff (unless that's all that's around and I have no choice).  I guess I'm not a very good Tennessean, as I seem to like "straight bourbon", which is more of  KY thing.  Had lots of 7&7  in high school in the 70's though!

    Catlover,

I am in the Huntsville/Madison area of AL, so not too far from you. We used to love going to Coolspring area to shop and eat, but now we have so many new shopping areas, restaurants, etc.--and a new one,Bridgestreet, has gondolas! This area has really grown. So I don't get up there much nowadays. Its funny....my drink of choice at home is Seagrams---we have Crown Royal, and JD at home, but they taste too strong to me. BUT when we get free drinks, I usually order those as they cost more....dumb, huh! Funny how easy it was to drink in HS, wasn't it---you mentioned lots of 7&7, and I mostly drank beer then....remember the small cans of "Country Club" (I think it was called that) beer? And boy, we drank lots of Black Russians....potent stuff!

Oh, I think the bar is closing now....last call....good night everyone! Drive home safely!

Jeannine... I am like you... from the time I was dx, it took almost a month to start Chemo. I have done 1 so far. I have 7 more to go. I am doing 4 DD of A/C, then 4 Taxol with Herceptin. Then.. after about a month recovery from that I will have surgery... then off to radiation I suppose since I also have node involvment. I had to do the LONGGGGGGGGg week of all those tests you are doing now... I got a clean bill that is was not anywhere else in the YOUNG body ( I am 40) hehe

I am sure your scans will be clean and you will be off to Chemo too!

    Cheers to all.. Laura

    Thx Laura,

I like following your threads because you're a little ahead of me in dx and my treatment seems to mirror yours. I believe I will have 8 tx too. I know I'll be doing A/C but not sure of Taxol w/ Hercept.  My surgeon did say afterwards then I will have surgery then RADS. It truly is a PITA to wait 4 results and I'm just praying no mets... So happy you got a clean bill for the rest of you!  I am 41 myself.  The tech @ the PET scan said I am so young... don't know if that made me feel better. But it is a good thing cause we're going to beat it.

Anywayz Wahine, that 2nd Pear Martini snack was mighty good.  I wanted a 3rd but then I woulda went night night.. Believe me I could taste the Vodka. Hmmm now what to have tonight ladies?? I got Corona's too. Going out manana to get my groove on.  Tomorrow it's margaritas!

    Bottoms Up,

    Jeannine Undecided
