    Hiya Guys

I am felling a zillion times better and now have a husky, sexy voice. Think I'll keep it. Just have to take up smoking to get the cough started - again!. While I sound like Lauren Bacall, with a Scottish sccent think I'll summon Hot Tattie 1 for a nice ultra cold Guiness (cannie get enough of the stuff, had 3 pints on Saturday! Lift the glass to my lips and ... suddendly I have an empty glass! It's like magic. Got bloods today so going for 3rd (or, ever the optimist ... 2nd last) FEC on Friday!

My bloods were ok from last week, despite my infection. I lost my voice totally and I had to mime to Dr YaYa (no not kidding, that's his name. He's Asian, 90- pounds soaking wet, and an absolute sweetie. I love my oncies!!!)

So tonight I am having a cold Koppenberg Cider (Swedish Pear Cider) Tastes like peardrops! and enjoying having some functioning taste buds before the lucky dip that is chemo come Friday!

Hot Tattie, a cold Kopoenberg, if you please. And, since you are an expert in reflexology ....

Posting a wee poem which made me smile ...

    The Boob Poem

For years and years they told me,
    Be careful of your breasts.
Don't ever squeeze or bruise them.
    And give them monthly tests.
So I heeded all their warnings,
    And protected them by law.
    I guarded them most carefully,
And I always wore my bra.

After 30 years of gentle care,
    My gyno, Dr. Pruitt,
Said I should get a Mammogram.
    "O.K," I said, "let's do it."

"Stand up here real close" she said,
(She got my boob in line),
And tell me if it hurts," she said,
"Ah yes! Right there, that's fine."

    She stepped upon a pedal,
I could not believe my eyes,
A plastic plate came slamming down,
    My hooter's in a vise!

My skin was stretched and mangled,
    From underneath my chin.
My poor boob was being squashed,
    To Swedish Pancake thin.

    Excruciating pain I felt,
    Within it's vise-like grip.
A prisoner in this vicious thing,
    My poor defenseless tit!

"Take a deep breath" she said to me,
Who does she think she's kidding?!?
My chest is mashed in her machine,
    And woozy I am getting.

"There, that's good," I heard her say,
    (The room was slowly swaying.)
"Now, let's just do the other one.
    ‘Have mercy,', I was praying.

Next time that they make me do this,
    I will request a blindfold.
I have no wish to see again,
    My knockers getting steamrolled.

If I had no problem when I came in,
    I surely have one now.
If there had been a cyst in there,
    It would have gone "ker-pow!"

This machine was created by a man,
Of this, I have no doubt.
I'd like to stick his balls in there,
And see how THEY come out.

    I thank you.

    Nettie xx

    Nettie my girl,

Truly tickled by your poem.  Slide over and I'll join you for an adult beverage if you haven't worn out our bartender's hands.

    HunkyD,

Maybe they moved the photo to the "Respectful Hot Guy Appreciation Thread".  It seems you can get away with some things if you add Respectful.

I have just enough time for a drink before we run to a hockey game.

Just popped in to have a cold one before starting supper.  Ditto on the mammo machine--it is truly a torture chamber, more so now that I have to have diagnostic digitals--much more painful for me, but I think the tech is sadistic!!   Got to get my next one scheduled.   Nettie, glad you are feeling better and chemo won't be affected by being ill.

Weather warming up a bit.  Finally had nice enough weather to get our decks stained and sealed.   They look so nice.   We spend a lot of time on our deck in the summer!

Ahhhh, this drink is so good--maybe I'll have a couple more and do TV dinners instead of cooking!!   Big hugggsssss to all----hey, Jaybird--any chance of a pic of our darling niece in her Easter bonnet??   She is growing up so fast!!!

Much thanks HunkyD.  The cocktail is delish, and the company is grand.

I was stunned when I was initially called back for a "compression mammogram".  WTF had I just been through...mammo light?

On my second glass of wine.  I think the new hot tub they added in the Banana Hammock might tempt me into a third.

    Cheers all

    Happy Easter y'all.

The men here helped me tie pretty ribbons on these Easter Bunnies that were custom ordered to be filled with Bailey's or Kahlua. They appear to be some pretty wild hares. Enjoy!

Laurie, welcome to the "Hot Tatties Lounge/Banana Hammock". Meet Pants & Jocks our tattie tenders. They take the best care of us gals here, you won't believe it. In fact, Jocks...how about showing Laurie around outside, give her a tour of the Banana Hammock. I have posted our link of the lounge for you. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii319/goldie0827/htl1.jpg

HunkyD, I'd love to try one of those mammo-meisters. Sounds yummy! Although I might have to go over and steal one of Junies ML's that she has over there in the bucket. We just might have to see if she dozes off in that hammock and dump the ice on her! Or would that be too mean?

Jaybird, have a safe flight. Bring us all some bakalava, the kind with NO calories.....lol.

Junie, you better keep one eye open.....*giggles*

Stormy, the decorations look absolutely adorable. I'll have one of those wild hares with some Baileys please. That would be really good with the bakalava.

Carol, we got snow up here this morning! Looks like you guys are getting rain.

Cloud, Nettie, Dee, hope you all are doing well. Do we know when Kathy is due back? I wish all you wonderful friends a "Happy Easter" and my your baskets be full of goodies. I hope I didn't forget anyone.

    Hey Lori,

Yes the rain is wonderful.  Had my right implant replaced and some capsule removed yesterday, but they couldn't get as much removed as they would have liked.  Oh well, I think I'll join Laurie in a bloody mary.  I like celery salt and a dash of horseradish.  Welcome to the lounge, Laurie.  It's a great place to kick back and enjoy the view.

Stormy, I love the bunny idea.  I'll take a Bailey's with a Kahlua chaser.  Then maybe I'll chase Pants around to burn some calories.

    Happy Easter Eve,

    Carol(AZ)

Happy Easter (from your resident Pagan!)!

Dee, LOVE the pic!!!  Wink NO need to apologize!!! Did you have a good snooze???

Athens was great - warm and sunny (about 70) - but expensive! Drank very little (WTF?) and will enjoy the bakala on Sunday. I can't believe I hauled two pans of it (cake-pan size) all thay way home to Chicago but this stuff is SO good that it rivals alcohol (if you can believe that).

    Cheers!

Welcome home Jaybird. How long do you get to stay home before you are off again?

Nettie, glad to here you endured without side effects to distract you from your frothy head (Guinness, I mean).

Jaybird, the best thing about easter is the discounted candy tomorrow.

    Good evening, all.

HunkyD you are  amazing. It'd taken me a year to do that. Personally I think that you forgot the cast on the right leg but thatis just wishful thinking.

I'm glad that everyone had a good Easter. I'll be even happier when we can start living outside again.

Stormy1, you still have that blasted cast?  Time to get the sawz-all out.  Dee, crap...you are crispy.  I think you need an aloe v martini.  It is probably good to stay hydrated so drink up.  Next time you go on a drinking spree like that though you better make sure you stay in the shade.  Lori...Corel Photo paint and some beers is the only software I used.  Smiles to all....HunkyD

hugggssss to all!  Wahine (Kathy) sends Easter Greetings to all from Panama--she only had a couple minutes time left on her card.  Hopefully she'll be back in the lounge in another week!

Would our master architect please add us a small casino here--one that pays off on every spin or card game!!!   Know I'm not the only one here who likes to gamble, so......(we spent the day at a near-by Indian casino and had a really great time--no big winners, but just lots of fun and laughs, and more than a few drinks!!!   This little place has undergone a renovation and this was our first time back--it was really nice!  Parking lot was FULL--on a Monday--so much for our tanking economy...wait, that's another thread!!!)   As long as we are dreaming, might as well dream big!!!

The dr. sawed off half of the blasted thing but i'm still unable to put weight onto it. My onc has po stponed chemo until the leg heals so they've decided to do the simple mastectomy sometime in the next three weeks(as outpatient sx)

Guess that I'll be a frequent visitor here for the next month. I'll be the one running around in nightgowns. Do you think that I can sell my boob on e-Bay?

Stormy - Assuming you mean the cast and not the boob! All kidding aside, I am sorry about the leg not healed yet, post poning chemo and mastecomy. I didn't know you had treatment coming. As for Ebay, put the boob on there and we will all drive the price up with our bids Money mouth

Junie - Thanks for the post on Kathy, glad she is having a good time. We go to Laughlin on occasion, just to get away. It is only about 5 hours away. I call it OPC (old people city) We have fun, only play penny poker machine. Our favorite is the hundred play. You can play up to 100 hands. We are leaving Thursday for CA to visit the grandkids and will be stopping there (Laughlin) to stay the night. I am also going to acupunturist on the way to see if it will help with the hot flashes. I will call the builders today to have them put in our casino. You are right, if you're gonna dream, DREAM BIG!

HunkyD - I just installed Corel and I have beer, so I will have to play with it when I can. I have photo shop, but woooo, there is so much to do with that, need a college class to learn it all. I know how to do a few things, but very little compared to what it is capable of. I use it for putting products up on our website.

Dee - Keep hydrated, like Hunky says!

Carol - I used to like to go for candy after Halloween! Stopped doing that, can't get rid of the 10 pounds I gained from Arimidex, so I try to stay away from the candy. I like to have ice cream or cookies and milk. Like that is any better!

Laurie, when we go to Laughlin, we have bloody marys in the morning and we get those great big green olives. Darrell doesn't like them, so I get his too. I love them, but by the time we go home, I am done with olives for awhile!

Have a great day ladies, hugs and cheers

    Lori
