    Mornin' Ladies,

Jazzy u know we all want the best for u and here's praying that it is what sandy saidand the job comes easily. We're all here for u Jazzy, but I think u know that.<<<HUGS>>>

Wow Sandy u've stik got a lot to go thru, I just hope u can keep the pain down to a minimum, but it sounds like this will be difficult. In between pain meds u take Advil??? Does that really help??? Did u ever try that <I know nothing about names> CBsomething that's legal and a part of the pot plant that helps pain, I really don;t know how well it works but i've been told it's pretty good. Just a thought. As long as u get some help that would also be good.

I hope Lori's having a good time, but all I hear is HOT HOT HOT all over. sandy u sound like u live in a different part of another state that u live. It seems hotter here, but I think u get some coolness from the lake. I hear much more heat is coming thru in a couple of days.

Somehow I've got 4 tests set up for tomorrow all in a row, with time to get to the next one and blood work being the last---all good Now I have to manage getting there and getting around---the worst part of all this, Leslie still can't push a wheelchair, she <well me too> really don;t want Joey to spend that much time in the hospital <it's hard on him> and since they worked o getting me in ASAP <I didn't care> I've got some figuring out what to do. I used to be able to just be dropped off and call when done, now I can;t walk around like that even with a walker Hahaha the good old days felt like chit but I could walk, now i feel like chit but can't walk Something doesn't seem right about this. Oh well.

And Misty just poop in whenever u feel like it u don't have to catchup just start talking.

    LUBS U ALL

Cami - If you call where you are going for tests perhaps they can arrange for a olunteer to 'wheel' you around? We have that service at my center. There are people that offer rides, etc. if needed. Nice that you are getting everything done in one fell swoop as they say!!

Jazzy and ChiSandy - Wishing you all the best results that you are waiting for!! xoxoxo

Stay cool everyone - Cheers! j

Hi folks- well I had my interview this morning and thought it went well although I am always listening for whether they think I am the right fit or not. I had some concerns about one area with not having done this type of work at enough facilities, but in the end, they decided there was another reason I was not their person. I was not totally sure the job was the one for me, but was hoping to get to the next level.

A couple colleagues who knew I was working on this one gave me some insight after, and I realize it was definitely not going to be a good situation for me to get involved with. I have found that sometimes the things in life that don't work out are truly a blessing. This may be one of them.

Took myself out to lunch to day and ran some errands. Now I need a nap!

Jazzy - I agree, things happen (or don't) for a reason! You now have more interview experience and when the real 'right' position comes along you will be better prepared ;) Take care - cheers!

In your pocket, Cami, for tomorrow’s tests!

My surgeon’s NP left me a refill Norco script, so my housekeeper Carrie drove me up to Skokie to pick it up. As I have only 3 pills left (1 every 4 hrs doesn’t seem to work as well as 2 every 6 for staying ahead of the pain)—2 for bedtime, 1 at 6am—I did fill it. Also got an adjustable cast protector, as the ones I have require 2 hands to don, and the opening is too small to fit my big honkin’ pressure splint. I want to shower, not just sponge-bathe. Managed to straighten my hair one-handed this a.m. I was able to undo the front-clasp bra last night but still can’t put it on unaided, so Carrie put a normal bra on me this a.m., and tonight I will ask Bob to undo it—make believe we’re still in college and dating.😛

Here by the lake it’s 85 & dry—so I’m out on the deck again enjoying the black raspberries I just picked (plus a couple of tiny fraises des bois that the rabbits hadn’t discovered). Enjoying my second DOTD—a Faux-jito: ice cubes, seltzer, a capful of Sodastream lemon-lime “fruit drops” and mint from my garden. That bottle of Cruzan rum sits on the bar, mocking me. Tomorrow is supposed to be high 90s and sticky, even here.

First DOTD: iced latte, made with 1 Nespresso capsule of “Shakerato Variations” (infused with cocoa & cinnamon), 1/2 c. Pacific Barista Series almond milk, and 1 T heavy whipping cream (to complement the prunes, necessitated by the Norco—more than that would be TMI).

Cami, we have a neighborhood “vape shop” that also sells kratom (tastes nasty, so I’m told, and I’m still spooked by the recall of a batch that apparently caused salmonella) and CBD oils & edibles. CBD is the part of the pot plant that supposedly relieves pain w/o the high from THC (the other part, which requires an MMJ permit and is available only from a licensed dispensary). Once you get your permit, you have to shop at only your “home” dispensary; and if your own doc won’t sign the permit app, the docs who specialize in doing just that require your medical records to confirm you have a qualifying condition—cancer (any type, any stage) qualifies; but neither post-op pain nor weaning off opioids do. Go figure. I have no desire to get high, but the dispensary CBD edibles are stronger and taste better. Smoking, of course, is out—after a week I finally have my lung function right where I want it and will stop oral prednisone tomorrow (still take Symbicort until further notice—haven’t needed the rescue inhaler today)

Jazzy, a comedienne friend of mine* likes to say “when God closes a door, He throws someone out a window." You gave it a try and found out early enough the job wouldn't have been the right one for you. A better fit is bound to come down the pike for you.

Hi friends- I am shifting gears to move away from work stuff right now and more towards self care. I realized today my body (mind and soul too) are being put through right now, starting with the MRI and office visit, tomorrow is the Prolia shot (makes me achy for a few days), then into biopsy land and another office visit. So I told myself "self, you need to do some self care to get yourself through your remaining apts on your cancer follow up care."

So I took myself out to lunch today at the local Italian place (great lunch buffet), ran some errands and came home for a really nice long nap. I am already feeling pretty exhausted from all the medical visits and have a few more to go. Tomorrow I should be okay after the Prolia shot and do have plans to do some music tomorrow night with a friend.

I have not had anything to drink in a few weeks (why oh why Jazzy is that???) Mostly because it has just been TOO HOT but is cooling down with the monsoons that have moved in. No rain here since last week, but there is some in the area. Anyways, I cracked a bottle of Italian Rose that I got at my favorite wine shop back in May, something called Proprieta Sperino Rosa del Rosa. I was in to french roses which I still love, but exploring the Italian ones and this one is very nice!

Chi- you sound like you are doing okay post opp and with managing your way through. Are you feeling glad you did this, as I know you were really trying to be sure it was the right thing to do? I think you are getting the right help but also know it is a struggle when you cannot use your arms, hands, etc. I always say we never appreciate things like our hands and feet, legs and arms until something runs amok with them. I loved the comment about Bob helping you with your hair and pretending you are dating again.

I love that expression about doors closing, someone thrown out the window. That is a keeper!

Cami- I am going to be in your pocket tomorrow for these tests. I hope you get good results and good care while you are in house. I can only imagine you cracking up the nurses, techs and the like. Sending you much love for good outcomes!

NM- I wanted to say I was glad to hear you found those car keys. I know my motto is "when something is lost, start cleaning" but when keys are missing, pockets are a likely culprit. I hope your new class continues to go well, sound like it is off to a good start sister! Have you been out in the kayak yet? I know it is mid July so the water may be a bit warmer now (but not much, I remember those cold waters). The coldest water I ever was in was off the coast of Nova Scotia back on a church youth group trip in the 1970s. I remember my legs turned blue, eek! I know Sadie loves her swimming too.

Janky- how are you doing friend? I usually do a sort of "post mortem" on any interviews or opps that don't work out (my choice or theirs). It is always worth talking to people, and have learned the value in interviewing is to have enough time for the exchange to really understand what they need help with and if you can do it (and be successful). What I came away with is that it might be a good org to work with in the future, but definitely not a good project for this girl.

Hoping everyone has a good slide in to the weekend. Be sure to tell me what things you are enjoying for your summer cocktails......

Happy middle of the nite ladies.

Well as usual I cancelled my tests for later today. My famous trademark. ere's my reasoning, first my Dr. will be on vacation next week so I'm safe from her wrath, but it'll be a long day and I hate the idea of anyone having to wait from test to test then bringing me to the next place, etc. But thanks to Janky I think I remember that they can do that for me. I was thinking I was always just dropped off and called when I was done, now that sily wheelchair has to be used, but I think they can do that for you---well I got in next week anyway so I'll just do that. Thanks Janky.

Jazzy I'm glad not getting this job works out better for you. But now maybe other things will start to open up that u will be best suited for. And it is good to get ur personal things out of ur mind and then get started.BTW I thought Sandy was talking about college days and her bra, cuz I was going to suggest let Bob try it with one hand, that'll bring back those good ole days. Or never getting the bra off. Romance or laughter whatever the memories are. Or just plain lust, whatever.

OK pills taking hold, I'll try for more sleep.

Good Morning, Loungettes! Wow. Looks like I didn't post yesterday, that's unusual. Must have gotten caught up in cleaning out the e-mail and other stuff.Yesterday was a nice, loungey day, caught up on some rest and some reading. And Sadie petting and tummy tickling. Just beautiful weather right now.

Cammy--that sounds like an awful lot of weight loss. Can't blame the doc for wanting to see if something's going on. Can you call, or have someone call, and ask to have as many tests as possible on the same day as it's hard for you to get around to multiple appointments?

Jazzy--I love sparkling water, too.I bought a seltzer bottle a few years ago, and buy the little chargers in bulk, and flavor it with drops of essential oils or pieces of fruit or cucumber or whatever I want. Endless supply, very inexpensive, no bottles to recycle! Wow, the interviews are coming fast and furious for you, that is wonderful!

Misty--Morning, good to see you! Thanks for the prayers.

Chi--Eggshell shards are not fun, are they? Glad the weather is nice enough to sit out. I had a lovely cup of coffee on the deck yesterday morning.

Jazzy--well, this situation kinda sucks even if it's not totally unexpected. Praying for a benign findings. The timing really could be better, couldn't it? Good luck with the interviews.

Cammy--You should be able to show up at the hospital and have them find a volunteer or a staff member to push you around between appointments.

    Jazzy--Sorry to hear about the job falling through, but it sounds like it may be better in the end. {{{HUGS}}}

Chi--the whole medical MJ thing is way more complex than I thought. Always learning something.

Jazzy--that Italian rose sounds really good! I haven't had the kayak out yet, but it is time to do that. The last day of class went much better than I thought it would after I called and talked to a couple of other instructors and came up with a new strategy.

Cammy--Most medical care places have people whose job it is to help people get from place to place! You aren't wasting their time, they are getting paid to do just that!

Good morning friends- we got some nice rain over night. Monsoons are here and more rain later. I have an outdoor concert to attend tonight, and think I better pull the rain gear out. I expect this will be my only fun this weekend as by tomorrow, the Prolia shot may be making this girl a bit achy. I have a good book I plan to start.

Cami- so I tried to read back to find out why you are having the test and it sounds like your weight has dropped a lot? When I lost 30 pounds last year (which I was working on with the help of the endocrinologist), they of course ask, were you trying for this? But if you are not, it would be a flag something needs to be checked out. If your doctor is going to be away, that would mean waiting way too long for results. I hope you can get things checked out soon and some answers in hand. Always in your pocket, sister, always.

And you are right, bra not hair for Chi's help with DH, whoops. Read that too fast. And also, on the work front, I have some other fine opps in progress, but as we have talked here, I need to get past these tests. If new contracts come, I always like to have the check ups behind me anyways, and this week just turned in to a lot more than expected on both fronts.

NM- Glad to hear the class went well. Also glad to hear you are ready for kayaking. I want pictures! Tell Sadie hey from me. Does she still have her box of kitchen utensils? BTW, I used to drink midori drinks a lot in my college days (worked PT at a restaurant/bar slinging cocktails).

Mema- thinking of you and hoping you are doing okay through everything.

Ill- are you spending more time up at that cabin?

    How are the Karen's?

Goldie- I think you are on a vacation and hope it is going well. My guess is you may be getting some rains now too?

Wishing everyone a good Friday the 13th. Here are some cocktails I found for you. I want to make The Seven Deadly Sins Sangria

Happy Friday sisters!! Sunny and warm here in Alberta, though 20 miles south west of me they are predicting hail and a possible tornado - go figure!!

Jazzy - I am well my friend, thanks for checking. I have found this last 5 weeks to be full of energy and positivity other than a couple of random days!!! It feels so good to be almost 'me' ;)

NM - what does Sadie do with her utensils??!

I have such a task that needs doing and it is overwhelming - I have, since I was a young child, gone to auctions and garage sales (mostly Vermont, Maine and New York state)!! I buy and then sell stuff, and the things sold pay for what I buy...Unfortunately (fortunately??) I have a single garage jam packed with boxes and bins of stuff that is very difficult to get rid of as it has value (supposed to be my retirement) I am now retired and realize how difficult it is to get rid of things expeditiously...I put things on line, I rent a small space in an Antique Mall etc., I am thinking of an impromptu garage sale this weekend...arghhh, so o o o much stuff!!! Janice, I have so much useless accumulated stuff (old small appliances, pots & pans, accessories for long-obsolete cell phones & computers, outdated software & "missing manual" books, too-small tees, undies, etc.) that I practically break out in hives trying to figure out how to divest myself of it.

A hot one today, so I stayed indoors most of the day (except to talk with the son of a former neighbor, who will be tweaking part of our deck so rain & snow-melt water doesn't pool on it). Starting to wean down the Norco, from 2 every 6 hrs to one every 4. Hoping by Sun. to be able to ratchet back to one every 6--with a plain Tylenol to help it along. Have my appt. to get my cast Monday, mani on Tuesday, fly to NY Wed.

DOTD: seltzer with mint and a capful of elderflower "cordial" (despite the name, non-alc.).

Good Morning, Loungettes!Enjoying a lovely weekend here. Just love this kind of weather. Now if I can just motivate myself to get my butt into motion and start walking so I have energy to do fun things. A little work news--2 weeks ago I went into the main office on Monday, the Clinical Manager didn't know I was working, and wasn't very interested in finding any visits for me, so I took the day off. Friday I sent out my usual e-mail to both offices with the dates I was available. Heard right off from the second office, asking for all 3 days. Got an e-mail from the main office (same CM) that she'd look at things after the morning meeting. I gave all 3 days to the second office. This morning I get an e-mail from the main office CM, saying she's confused, am I not available to the main office at all? I answered, Yes, 2 weeks ago I came in to the main office and wasn't needed and the second office asked for 3 days, so I gave them all 3 days. And all these emails are going to the directors of both office, all the clinical managers of both offices, and the schedulers of both offices. I can just about imagine the CM's reaction, and actually am kind of looking forward to her instigating a confrontation.I've got my responses all planned out--I am deserving of being treated with courtesy and dignity regardless of the office politics and power games being played, I am still owed apologies for the last time I was used poorly. We'll see how it goes.Sadie says good morning to everyone!

Jazzy--I'll have to see if I can find the waterproof camera I know is kicking around here somewhere and take it when I go kayaking. Sadie doesn't have any kitchen utensils in her crate, but one of my cast iron pots is missing, so I think she's taken that out into the yard somewhere, got to go look for it!Oh, wow, that 7 Deadly Sins Sangria sounds absolutely YUMMY!!!!!Thanks for the great list of Friday the 13th cocktails!

Janky--Sadie keeps trying to set up a gourmet kitchen in her crate. Over the years I have pulled out of her crate cast iron fry pans, various utensils, bowls, cups, and all kinds of other things. Moving out the antiques is probably a huge challenge! Maybe taking one bin or box at a time? Good luck!

Chi--Glad the wrist is feeling better, or at least needing less pain medication. The DOTD sounds good even without alcohol!

Good morning friends- sitting on my patio on this cooler morning. We got more rain last night, not everywhere, but at my outdoor concert location (I was prepared with rain gear). We have lots of hummingbirds here in NM and have this kind called the Rufus that is aggressive and chases everyone else away. I have multiple feeders around the yard as the different kinds (3-4 species I have seen yearly, at least) tend to be territorial, but old ruffie is the worst! He is out here today patrolling the yard and chasing everyone away from the back yard feeders. They are beautiful orange and red and shimmer in the sunlight, but a piece of work!

I saw the best latin jazz last night with the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. Just wow and most of them are from Puerto Rico, where I fell in love with this kind of music. Some seriously good latin flute (which I also play) and wonderful horn section. Three male vocalists who sound great alone or in a trio. I got their latest CD so I will be listening to that for the longer term.

They have a little bar with wine beer and limited cocktails. I kept seeing gin/vodka tonics floating by so I had the first of the season. I LOVE vodka and have a lot of flavored stuff in the freezer. Time to get some tonic (usually sugar free) for the rest of the summer. I think that may be my DOTD for the duration of summer 2018.

ChiSandy- if you need to get rid of some things, come join us on the decluttering thread. I had heard about that here a few years ago and it was really helpful when I was doing some home upgrades a few years back. Now I have a regular process for cleaning out closets on a yearly basis, extra kitchen stuff, etc. The key for me was to find places I could take things (consignment, the right donation places, etc.) NM has been out there for awhile with us too! Anyone else with the need to purge, come on over!

This is a song the group did last night. Enjoy

NM - Sadie is such a character!! I am picturing her with a little white chef's hat and cast iron pan, too cute!!

Wishing us all a great weekend doing whatever we want to!! Cheers j

Just going to jump in at the present!

I have read everything. Jazzy, Cami and Sue, wishing all three of you good luck on upcoming tests and scans.

NM, I still chuckle at the Office 1 and the CM's. Not jumping in to get you and so Office 2 scoops you up! Looks like Sadie is wanting to book a cruise!

    Sandy, wishing you well too.

cami, I see where you lost your fur baby Sox. So very sorry for that. Had he been sick, or just old and it was just his timer to go?

Had a nice time away, saw Jurassic Park, as Jazzy said, it waws good. Need to have a meeting with the guy and his wife about buying the business. Just afraid it's not going to work and we will get burned again. Had some nice rain this past week, my garden is smiling big time. Yummy BLT's tonight for dinner!

Well, I was able somehow to apply just enough traction with my L hand to hook the top and bottom 2 front hooks of my bra. There's a central "cleavage keyhole" but my top is covering it up. I'm really feeling my efforts, though--hope I didn't loosen any hardware, just a little temporary swelling. Most of the pain is positional--the bone butting up against the rigidity of the splint, fingers confined, etc. Raising my arm overhead does help a bit.

Being home alone with just my cat, TV, computer, phone, books and (uh-oh) kitchen is getting pretty old. Watch TV, read, talk, eat, nap. Lather, rinse, repeat. As I cut back on the opioid, I want to eat more. Not much (if any) opportunity to safely burn calories. At least I stopped the prednisone.

Chi- it is Saturday, is Bob working today?

Do you like some of the mini-series on HBO? I think you can netflix some of those. Let me know if you want suggestions. I don't do well being down for more than a few days myself.

The new series that just started on HBO last Sunday, Sharp Objects, seems really good if you have that available too. They are good at getting you hooked the first show......

Bob came home for dinner, bringing seared ahi & calamari apps. I'd already gotten started making a Caesar salad, pan-seared sea scallops and snap peas--so we had a seafood-and-veggie feast. I have HBO & Showtime, and a huge backlog of stuff on Netflix to binge-watch. But watching is so pasive!

He's home all day tomorrow (by now, today), but mostly to watch soccer. I may try to walk just to get out of the house (albeit with a trash bag on my arm in case it rains--not supposed to get the splint wet). Maybe get the best non-alcoholic beer Whole Foods has to offer.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Sunday Funday!Supposed to be raining and thunderbumpers today, but so far the sun has come out and is lovely. Not sure what the game plan for today will be, other than to try to figure out something to pack for lunch for work for the next few days. Other than that, not much in the way of plans for today. Sadie's been going back and forth between the recliner and leaning against my legs getting ear scratches.

Jazzy--Amazing how something so small as a humingbird can be so territorial and aggressive!I've not tried vodka tonics, but can imagine they are pretty good with some of the flavored vodkas. Don't blame you for making them your drink of the summer!Wow, that band and the singers are really nice to listen to!

Janky--Sadie is VERY good at cleaning up, will even take the pots and pans right off the stovetop to clean them out for me!Now if I could just teach her to cook, I could live a life of ease!

Goldie--Jumping in is the best thing to do!I'm sure Sadie would love to book a cruise, but will be very upset to find out she can't go on the ship! I did meet a lady with a service dog on a cruise once, we got to chatting and I actually was brazen enough to ask her how that worked with toileting the dog--it was a Golden Retriever, pretty good size to be in a cruise ship stateroom--she told me that true service dogs are trained to go potty in sand or litter, they used a very small wading pool (like for toddlers), fill it with sand or litter, and the dog uses that. They scoop after every visit to manage odors.Service dogs are trained to go potty at set times of the day and one of the owner's responsibilities is to take the dog to a designated potty place at those times every day for her to do her business. It's part of the training so the dogs are much less likely to make a mess somewhere inappropriate (like in a store or restaurant) or where the owner can't clean up after it. The woman was so open about talking about the service dog training with the people around her. Yup. Office 2 scooped me up, and office 1, or specifically a certain Clinical Manager, learns that I'm not a doormat. "Be careful what you tolerate, that's how you are teaching people to treat you" according to a post on Fb that really struck a chord with me. Is the meeting about the business with the same couple as before or a different couple? I can understand being a bit gun-shy.

Chi--that sounds like a routine that would be fun for a while but get old kinda quick. Don't discount the benefit of walking. Getting up and walking around whenever a commercial comes on is one way to get more movement in. Glad the prednisone is over. That will help make things feel more normal as that gets out of your system.

    Mornin' Ladies,

Sandy glad to hear ur doing a bit better...It's like every 24 hours ur body heals a little always amazed me when going thru things. U've already booked urself for the week tho, hope it's not to soon, but I think u know best. So just hope weather hold up.

Kim u must have that office going crazy, good for u, they need that--with all they did to u. And I had no doubt ur teaching went super good. It's because of u and ur ethics. I was going to ask, then I saw u did put up sadie's supply of what she wants to herself. The first time I saw that wow did I crack up, just like now.

Welcome home Lori, sounds like u had a nice time, but now it's time to get back to work. I hope ur garden continues to do well and truly hope the business venture works 100% for u.

BTW Kim thanks for all the tips, that was my main concern and I got all 4 tests to follow each other with timing good. So Thursday will be the day. They are always so nice where I go so that should work out fine. I'll call tomorrow and get this set up, this way no one has to sty with me for hours cuz I really hate that.

Jazzy u always make the best of every nite u can and wonderful music. But <I know this is silly> how does the pay work when there are so many people in a band??? I mean 1 or 2 people I understand but when it's really big it just makes me think what can they possibly make.

I feel bad for all of u who have a problem when the Drs. tell u to just try to stay still for a while. Whenever I've been told that whoever is in the room with me <family> they LOL out loud cuz that's the only thing I really listen to when a Dr. tells me to do something. Lazyness is a big part of that and that's where I shine as a patient. Of course all my Drs. know that now so they're confident with those and only those directions. TV is my true companion. Maybe cuz when I was little we only watched the radio, IDK just maybe.

We ll miss our Sox, Lori he wasn't suffering but he was sick and we knew it was coming---but it's always still so sad just walking around the house and not having him walk up to u to pet him. I really thought I heard him clicking his nails walking around at night. Jeez It was eerie.

Janky those pics of sadie's supplies are hysterical aren't they. Happy ur doing well.

Wishing everyone a good week of tests and just feeling good. Have a great Sunday.

    LUBS U ALL.

Cami, I know what you mean. After Pickles died in 1997, for several nights I thought I saw his shadow on the mantel and his soft "hrrnh" semi-purr. (We had no other cats at the time). And for several hours after MishMosh died in 2005, we would walk into the dining room and repeatedly find the same candlestick knocked over--it had been his favorite game, which he'd played only a few minutes before we found him dead on the sofa.

DOTD is LaCroix grapefruit-melon seltzer. (MO says not enough grapefruit in it to interact with letrozole or my Benicar).

Managed to get my own bra off last night & on this afternoon (the same Leading Lady one I wore for sleep during my post-rads year). The Glamorise front-clasp racerback underwire ones are impossible to don & close with one hand (and the 44F's band is too tight, the L cup too small for "Thelma" & the R cup too big for "Louise," so I will get a few more Leading Lady ones in 42F/G/H & colors). Not as flattering a silhouette as my 40F rear-close underwires, but definitely provides visible support. But will exercise the discipline to wait to order them till Amazon Prime Day tomorrow. Anyway, it feels so much better to walk about in a dress than in a nightie!

Hi friends- getting things in order around here to be ready for the week ahead. I feel better from my Prolia shot on Friday (felt achy yesterday), and have been getting things done around here to be ready for three busy days coming up. I sort of had this thought yesterday in the world one lives in having a biopsy after having breast cancer about the "what ifs". It was less about the rabbit hole stuff, and more so from the perspective of what will follow, the battery of scans, apts, etc. My three busy days may turn into a lot more, so having my house work caught up, fridge full, bills scheduled, and laundry done will make me be able to just be present with any and all appointments. I decided to hope for the best, and plan for the rest. I just remember last time I got my dx, things moved at warp speed and and then was scheduled every day for something somewhere afterwards.

I went to the farmers market today and got some fresh produce including peaches, fresh corn, tomatoes, greens and carrots. Attached is a photo of my loot. There was quite a run on the tomatoes and I am planning to make a BLT for dinner tonight with some of the items, and some smoked bacon I got this week. Part of my extra self care right now.

Cami- good point about the musicians. I was in a salsa band once for a community service project about seven years ago and there were like 10 of us. We all got paid something, but I had to have someone do charts for my instruments and the amount I got paid was like $27 and did not even cover the cost of the music. Don't quit your day job! The tickets for that concert were not super high, but they did sell out so all I can say is they must work on "volume".

NM- I have friends who train golden retriever service dogs out in Arizona. It is quite a lengthy process and they have to pick the right puppy and train them for two years. From what I have heard, not all off them suceed and graduate either? I always wonder about their bathroom options when they are on planes, especially longer flights? My sister has a golden who really helps her disabled partner and although she is not a trained service dog, she is highly empathetic and really watches out for my sis' partner. But then I hear stories how the dog goes with my sister to Home Depot and my sister turns around and sees her pooping in the middle of the store, lol. I love that Sadie helps you with all your kitchen needs.

Oh another drink I love with vodka is vanilla vodka and diet coke. In general, I don't drink diet sodas but I do love that combo on occasion. It is like a vanilla coke but with a kick!

Chi- have you been able to wear the underwires since your lumpectomy? I used the soft sided bras for ever and still have the underwires, but still like my sports bras the best. I think it is because of all the misc scar tissue around. Sounds like you are making good progress over there with being able to get your clothing on. Is your pain better? The seltzer sounds yummy. Hope you are healing quickly friend?

Goldie- I hope this sale works out and your buyers say yes and are not super duper hagglers. I deal with that a lot in my consulting work, I am able to negotiate some but sometimes people just want you to do a lot for nada. Fingers crossed. We are getting rain out here almost every afternoon or evening. I looked outside just now and see some clouds building up but not sure it will happen tonight. News says good chance every day this week though. My gardens and trees will be happy. Thank you for the good wishes too, I will take them.

Okay friends, I will be off the radar until I have more news on my result and thank you for your support. Biopsies are always a scary thing, but having been through more than a few of them at this point in my life (most negative, a couple positive), I know a bit more about what to expect at least with the process. I have my high school reunion coming up in a month or so and really hope I will be able to go. Hoping for the best this week.

    Have a good week!

Nice haul, Jazzy! I was back in my underwires by the time I was finishing up rads. Can't wait to regain the mobility to be able to wear 'em again--maybe use a couple of extenders so i can step in or pull them overhead. The big challenge coming up is showering (been using "adult washcloths" and dry shampoo--Living Proof Perfect Hair Day)--the openings in my cast protectors are too small to fit over the hand of my giant splint dressing without assistance; guess I'll have to start carrying larger purses to fit a couple of trash bags in case I get caught in the rain.

Hi again, jeez it's almost morning.

U know Sandy u really sound like ur coming along very well. Glad to hear that. Wow I haven't worn a bra in years and it feels great to me. I dont even care that I'm flat as a board and not shapely like a broad. see same letters so it works.

Jazzy u r really organized but sending all good vibes so when this biopsy is done, u just won't have to bother doing work anyway and all is good.

well Dan just left, oy vey, now Im awake. He had to fix my phone and all I did was ask him how to do one thing just one on the puter and he starts with Quicken books, whatever and said now first u can see everything and anything u want to know about the business and how it's doing and how much money is going in and out. WTF I had one simple question I told him I don't want to know anything, nothing about the business, oh this man is to much for my brain. Oh he answered my 1 question, but for some reason he wanted me to have the ability to do more. No one goes into this unless it's him or the accountant. I really can't learn anymore and won't bother doing that, I'm nosy, but chit not that nosy. Well he kinda made me feel good cuz he did say he trusts me completely knowing his business. But I won't.

Oh Jazzy nice crop u have there and I so enjoy BLT'S so much and always forget about them.

OK just checking in, I might be to tired to to check in in the morning. so HAPPY MONDAY ICK.

    LUBS U ALL

OH PS someone remind me how to make musical notes on here, I just can't member

Good Morning, Loungettes! Happy Monday Monkey Day!Getting up to some really thick fog this ayem, and the weather guessers are talking about more fog tonight. Warm, humid, sticky today, T-storms tomorrow. Sadie doesn't like the fog, it interferes with her ability to supervise the neighborhood. So she barks cuz she can't see what's going on!

Cammy--I'm hoping the teaching survey results come back good, should see them this week, I think. It'll will be interesting to see what happens with next week's scheduling. The main office probably will have words for me! We shall see.Glad you are getting all the tests done and out of the way. Then you'll have a legitimate excuse for being lazy for a few days! So sorry about Sox. It's so hard when a pet passes.

Chi--Oh my, MishMosh wanted to play with the candlestick a little longer before crossing the Rainbow Bridge, didn't he? Hurray for getting in and out of the bra unaided! It's amazing how each bra style has its own unique challenges to one handed dressing.

Jazzy--good idea to plan for everything possible while hoping for the best. True service dog training starts in puppyhood, and not every dog that goes into training passes. The ones who don't pass are found homes as pets, I believe. I saw a story about a therapy dog that started out as a service dog but was too social, washed out because of that, got placed with a family that trains therapy dogs, and the dog went on to live a happy life making visits in a nursing home. Praying for B-9 results.Nice Farmer's Market haul!!!

Chi--What a pain it must be to keep the splint dry.

Cammy--Dan must really trust you to give you access to all that info! Don't blame you for not going into it, but it must feel good to know he trusts you so much!

    DOTD:

    Plantation Coffee

    Ingredients

Shake and strain into a goblet filled with crushed ice. Sprinkle with grated chocolate, add short straws, and serve.

Best served in a Red Wine Glass.

Well, I can drink again! My last codeine was at 8:30, ibuprofen at 11. So will have my Aperol spritz out on the deck tonight. Had my padded splint dressing removed today, replaced not by the expected cast (I wanted pink) but instead a custom-molded hard black forearm brace--removable for showering! Still typing one-handed, as the brace has a thumb "spica" to keep the thumb from bending below the distal joint (fingertip knuckle) and the wrist from rotating--using the L hand to type causes pangs of pain at the wrist. I will be in this thing (except in the shower) for the next 2 weeks; and have to ice and elevate as much as possible. So it looks like I'll still need bra assistance (except for the front-hook "leisure" variety); and I obviously have dibs on the armrest on the flights to & from NY.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Twofer Tuesday! Not as hot as a couple weeks ago but the humidity is going through the roof with the dew point climbing almost as high. Supposed to get cleared out with some thunderstorms this peeyem. We shall see. Do not like this sticky weather. So grateful for being able to run AC for a couple hours last evening and in the bedroom overnight. Don't care if the electric bill does go up a bit! I think Sadie agrees.

Cammy--do we need to come do an exorcism of the Post Snatching Gremlin in your computer????

Chi--The removable brace must be a big improvement over the padded splint! You must be getting pretty expert at balancing ice on the elevated arm by now.
