AStorm--LOL!  I can just imagine doing the same thing, popping a doggy pill along with my own double handfuls.  Given the size of your doggy in the picture I doubt you got enough to even show up in a blood level test.  If you DO grow a tail we want PICS!!!!!!

I couldn't find a recipe for a Doggy Tail DOTD, but I did come across a Dog's Nose recipe:

    12 oz Beer
    1 oz Gin

OMG  LMAO...what a way to wakeup! Haven't even finished my coffee yet, but thinking of taking a doggie pill accidentally can be SO easy to do. Can just imagine how surprised you were, AStorm when you realized it!!! Don't know why I have not done that yet myself. Reminded me of when I was a kid and holding the large jar (opened) we kept dog treats in (same type jar we kept our cookies in), and walked into the living room to see what was on tv,and my bro reached in to grab some. Seeing as how he was so mean to me growing up, I shouldn't have stopped him (hee hee) but I did....STUPID me!!! Back in *the day* when tv sets had removable knobs, he would take the knob off and put it out of my reach when it was my turn to choose a show. Then if I could get it, he had something rigged up that he had connected to a switch that would create interference whenever i changed the channel away from his channel. And my parents wondered why I was crying when they would return home...LOL.  And this was just ONE thing he did. He finally admits all this stuff he did (but never owned up to it then)!

NM, Love the "Dog's nose" DOTD....we will think of AStorm when drinking it...thinking of the pill.

AStorm, OK, call it "senior moment" as I cannot use "chemo brain", but PULEEZ remind me of your surgery date! I have been busy 24/7 getting ready for DD and family's visit (and stressing over what lies my ex will tell my DD's), and have not had time to think! Today I need to get OUR house in order, as we will have everyone over for dinner when they get here. At least I have the townhouse ready for them, but HAVE NOT thought of packing yet.....SHEESH!!!! Had blood work done yesterday for my physical next wk, and then went to my vein dr, and scheduled for vein surgery on my leg in late Sept, after we return.

Maybe if I have enough "Dog's Nose"  drinks, they will inspire me to clean the house. D''ya think???? Or maybe I need a pitcher of energy drinks?????

    BARMEN!

NM - I took the corgi's meds. She is 25# (the wiener is 9#). Honestly, I am the most organized, together person at work and then I do stupid things like this, or locking my only set of car keys in the trunk... completely sober.

Kathy - I'm getting the new foobs next Wednesday. I'll be needing a lot of HTL drinks since I'll be off wine for a couple of weeks! Boy you are always so busy! I'd make a list for myself before I started drinking those Dog Noses... there is an up-side to tipsy housekeeping:  since you can't drive you are stuck at home which makes it easier to do the work instead of "running errands" to avoid it! Of course, I'd probably need a 2-hour trip to BevMo for beer and gin first since I cleared out the booze after the champagne incident.

Thanks AStorm, for reminding me! That is the same day we leave for Australia, on Sept. 1st. I will not get there till the 3rd, and not sure how soon we can find an itnernet cafe, but will check in as soon as I can, so please post how you are doing, as soon as you can after surgery! Hope you have fantastic results!!!!!

AStorm - Oh, I hate those "how rrrrrrrrrrrr uuuuuuuuuuuuu's." I made the mistake of telling some peeps that I'm in KEEEE-MOOOOH and now when I see them they say that and look at me all pitiful like I'm on my way out. I was thinking about all the fam cards I received too, and how they would say, sorry to hear about your "very serious health problem" because they were too uncomfortable to say the word "cancer." One actually asked me if it was okay to use the word KAAAN-SUUUR. I guess no one knows what to do or say. I know they mean the best. Sometimes I'm surprised with what I hear...oye vey...

All the pills, oye vey, I have had to get used to taking a few and it would be soooooo easy to get them mixed up. I'm so glad the dog's pill won't make you grow a tail, but maybe after NM's drink you'll need a hair of the dog tomorrow.

So you have surgery next Wed. Well, hunkydory has surg on Tues and I get more MFC on Tues too, so looks it will be a fun week. Anybody else out there gearing up for a new adventure next week???? I realized what was wrong with CMF...it's in the wrong order...it should be MFC for muuder fuggin cr@p. Ooooooo, I don't want to go back for more, but this is my choice so I will, oye vey. I'm actually feeling darn good, nearly back to normal and now I'll have to go back for more toxins for my otherwise healthy body. To quote Heather again, "This disease sucks." Choices all between rocks and hard places...oye vey.

NM - super cool drink choice!! Love the DOG NOSE!!! Oye vey.

Wahine - my big bro teased me sooooo much, I would have loved to see him accidentally eat a dog treat!!! Funny how things change, he's so nice to me now but he sure picked on me when I was little, oye vey. I remember fighting with him over TV shows too...since he was 10 years older he won every competition. That's given me an angry, frustrated edge for life that I've had to deal with...he and his friends would tease me soooo much...poor little bean, oye vey...there were so many competitions, playing checkers he would always win and then gloat, he would say "who can jump and touch the ceiling" and he would win and gloat, he would say "who can eat more pancakes" and he would win and gloat...just everything. Then I look back and think, he was so proud of himself for winning against a little goyle 10 years younger, what a weirdo. How could you seriously be proud of such accomplishments?? Oh well, gotta love sibling rivalries. Now they all feel sorry for me cuz they are all healthy and I had cancer, oye vey. My folks were older when I was born. They had the older kids and then ooooops I came along years later. I got picked on sooooo much. But so did my best GF who lived next door. She is my age and was in a similar home situation. We've been friends for life and now we can laugh at all that went on (and cry too)...well enuf of my SIGH-KOT-ICK childhood memoirs...

So what great fun are we looking at next?? Tomorrow is goldie's birthday...HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Then we have chemo's and surg's next week. I'm going to get started now on my Dog Nose, cuz I have a lot of drinking to catch up on these days before more MFC. Happy Thursday, Happy Friday, Happy Saturday, Happy Sunday, Happy Monday, all Happy Hour till then, Can we get another bus trip started??? For me, AStorm, HD and who else??? You have been so great to come with me on my MFC trips and I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed you for another coming up, thank you, thank you for partying with me all the way...( Hope my ramblings aren't too weird...I apologize for being me)....Peace, love, health and happiness be to my HTL friends. CHEERS AND MORE DOG NOSE PLEEEEZE!!!

LMAO Beans.....sooooo funny......love the way you spelled those words too! Cute dog pic!!! Yeah, so strange how our older bro's would get such a feeling of satisfaction to win over us younger gals (well younger than our bros anyway)! Reminds me of how funny it is when someone "tricks" a dog and then feels like they are so smart! Well...DUH....hopefully we are smarter than dogs, but I guess with some people it is questionable. Can you tell I am taking toooooo many breaks with my cleaning? I keep popping up to the 'puter for a break.....LOL. YES, get the bus ready....and the jet, since I will be toooooo far away across the pond for a bus pickup. But would love to join you all....at least in spirit!

Ok, I'm still laughing like crazy about A-storm and the pill. Now read the tail part - about fill off the chair and now finishing the antibotic. Oh heavens you all are so on a roll!!!! I haven't laughed this hard in a long time!!!!

My sister who has always been a bit overweight really can't seem to get that eating little bits all day + meals does add up. Well one day she was cleaning the kitchen and thought there were crumbs on the counter so she ate them - that was cat food  - you'd really think she would have known. Then it was a visit she told us this and we were again all in the kitchen and she was talking and absentmindly picked up some crumbs while talking - that was dirt. We still tease her about that but oh my gosh the antibotic story Wins Hands Down!!!! I think that is my new favorite story. It made me think of the expressions on Charlie Brown when they ate something bad or something..... I'm so sorry you wn't be growing a tail though - I'd like to see that.

So to add to the list for next week - I go in on Friday for nipples and tatoos! Yikes!!! I asked about risks/side effects - he said the main risk was "headlights" Oh dear....

     Happy safe trip Wahine!!!

And Dog's nose!!!! You all are just Amazing!!!!! Why one earth would anyone stop checking in on this thread!! Hope we are all past everything with cancer and we're celebration birthdays in our 80's and checking to make sure Astorm hasn't gotten all furry on us! Thanks so much I so needed allt his today!!!

Well, it hasn't caused the corgi to grow a tail yet so I'm probably safe. I guess I'll have to confess to the vet to find out if she needs one more pill.

Laffin!!   Have lots of animal medicine mishap stories, too!   My worst one was grabbing a dog's mange cream and rubbing it on my son's bug bite!!!

Finally got my letter--recent mammo shows no evidence of breast cancer.......I'll invite NED to the next big par-tay and have him circulate!!!

Put a bit of a whiter beard around Bean's dog pic and we could say that Pancho has entered the building!!!!

Lots going on next week!   Everybody HAS to check in when they can so nobody gets worried!!

Jocks is mixing up a bunch of the latest drinks then I'm heading to the pool.   Wahine, you better not be out there, still--you better be packing!!!     Big huggsss to ALL!!!!

I used to live in a cabana. No really. It was part of a former resort. There was a huge shower with some low showerheads for kids. Instead of  bathing my dog, I used to take her into the shower with me. One day I got several compliments on my hair, which I had to admit was softer and more shiny than usual. It wasn't until I got in my car with the windows rolled up that I recognized the smell of my dog's shampoo.

AStorm- you are just cracking me up totally!!! Maybe we all need to try that shampoo.

OK, when we were little my sister (same one that eats dirt thinking it is chocolate) was sitting in the bathroom watching my Mom get dressed for a bit party. She was talking non-stop to my Mom and it was distracting her to no end but was trying to get dressed and look really nice as this was an important event. She finally asked her not to talk quite so much. So she quieted down for a bit then started commenting on everything she did like oh, that makes your lips so red and so forth... Well she was finally done and thought she looked pretty good and grabbed the hair spray and sprayed all over her head... my sister then says , Wow, neat that makes your hair turn white! Yep sprayed K2R (spot remover) all over her hair. She didn't go to the party.

However later in years she had pretty blond(out of a bottle) hair and once they didn't dye it light enough. I went over and found her out on her balcony sitting in the sun. I asked her why her hair was wet as I knew she had just been to the hair dresser... She said she had to put mouthwash on her head! I said what??? She said sure it was a mouthwash with hydrogen perioxide and she was right it worked beautifully. Ok I'll stop.... still not as good as AStorm! Just too funny.....

Now want to do the ****HAPPY DANCE***** for NED...soooo very happy that you got that good letter junie!!! And nooooooo I have not even started packing! Had dinner for 7 tonight and took all day getting the downstairs clean! Get to spend some time with my visiting DD tomorrow and Saturday (she wants to take me for an early birthday lunch...yay!!)...but with her "un"natural father coming to town, and her inlaws coming to town, all this weekend, their time will pretty much be taken up. I am just cherishing the time I get to be with them!

Let's get this partay started for junie's good results, and just have it continue on tomorrow for Lori's birthday.....then on and on for all the surgeries/procedures next week!!! I am ready and have my party hat on!! PARTY HEARTY!!!!!

Awwww Beans how sweet. I agree with you, there's no place like home! (The HTL) MFC sums it up pretty darn well!

Astorm, so glad to hear you won't be growing a tail!

Junie, if I can quit laughing long enough, I want to say congrats to you and NED! But I knew that is what it would be!

Straight Jackets all around and Duck Farts with straws. Today is my birthday! Went to Sea World yesterday and had Darrell's daughter and the grandkids visit the night before. They are the worst behaved children I have ever seen! Jimmy (5) almost pumled a little girl with a ping pong paddle (amongst other things) and Melody (2) was running all over the place, throwing fits and slapping her mother in the face! And then mom does nothing about it! Not only were other parents starring at us, the kids were too! Darrell doesn't ever want to come back! Then later that night, their other Grandma (The dad's mom) calls me, and asks me what I think! She was chasing the kids around so Kelley could eat, and the grandma never got to eat. I told her, she should step back and let them take care of their misbehaved kids!

Hey, give me a couple of those straight jackets, we are having dinner with them tonight! See ya all later if I can. Be home Sunday. xoxoxo

ooops Goldie, you were here before my big BD wish. Those kids sound awful, hope the dinner goes okay, yikes, best of luck!!!

Hi chrissy - my DH wants us to move to Australia, it looks so beautiful!! I'm afraid I'd be too far from fam, but would love to visit there sometime.

AStorm - LOL - using the dog shampoo!! So funny, what mishaps you've had with your doggies! I meant to say I love you weiner dog avatar, soooooo cute! I went back to the two kitties with party hats sipping martinis!

HD - I know I'm ready for a straight jacket, good call!

Thanks NM for setting us up - the Straight Jacket is perfecto! Hope your meeting isn't boring or health care related!

Wahine -  since some of us are confessing old fam stories I'm gunna rat on my my oldest sister. She used to trick one of the neighbor kids into eating sow bugs...she would say, "yum, these are good" and pretend to eat one, then she'd give one to the kid and say "try one!" and he would put one in his mouth and go crunch and get a yuko look on his face and spit it out. Then she would say "you must have gotten a bad one, here try this one." And she'd give him another and the whole thing would repeat. Hope you have a great trip!!!

Junie - Hurray! Hurray! Great news about your mamo!!

Stanzie -  LOL at the thought of going with AStorm to the vet and wet pants!!! I'll second what you said in an earlier post, may we all be celebrating birthdays in our 80's...then I'll tell you, this is true, you know you're a blah blah blah when your BS says "the ADH in your "good" boob may turn into cancer in 30 years." And you say, "30 years, that's terrific, I'll take it!" (cuz you thot you'd be gone way sooner cuz of what was going on in the "bad" boob!!) BTW - My Gma had bc in her 40's, uterine kan sur in her 50's and she was cured of both and lived well into her 80's, dying of something totally unrelated!

Now I'm going strait for a STRAIGHT JACKET!!! Can I still swim in the pool with it????

This morning's meeting was the annual Welcome Back Breakfast held at the beginning of every school year.  Some awards given out, and the Pres gives the State of the University speech.  Yes, a  bit boring, but the chance to catch up with collegues, meet new ones, and eat a really good breakfast makes up for the boring parts!

Then we had a team meeting and got the first couple weeks of the semester all squared away.  Then I recorded a couple instructional videos to be used next week and made available to students for future reference.  Got my e-mail cleaned out, and printed off the instructions for using a new software system.  Not a bad day at all, and I'm going to open a bottle of wine this evening to relax with, unless I decide to have the Tenders keep me supplied with Straight Jackets or Doggy Noses or something!
