OMG soooo many posts! Love the DOTD! And HonkyD, we are heading out there to be with you...don't let the dr start without us! PULEEZ let us know how you are doing asap, ok? Hopefully I can get the in-the-sky internet tonight, so will check in if possible, and see how you are doing.

Bean, ROFLMAO....when I first saw the pic, only the top part showed up, thought it was a girl on a horse for a gift idea, as I did buy horseback riding lessons for 2 of my g'kids....THEN saw the rest of the pic and about lost it!!!! What a riot!

Well, want to visit and chat, but gotta start washing all the bedding, towels, etc, and start cleaning the apt before we leave. DD went to feed our dogs this morning and said they were shivering, so she will get all their stuff and take them to her garage for the night. We have worried sooo much for our furbabies this trip, and hate that they have been cold, but glad she can rescue them for today till we get home tomorrow.

    Love you all!

    Kathy

Very funny videos Lori.  I am sedated but still cracked a smile.  That guest dancer was of course my favorite.  He can really get down.  Just got home.  Husband stopped and I got a coffee on the way home.  It tastes soooo good.  Thanks you all for your support.  I forgot how nice it is for you guys to have my back.  I didn't get to talk to the surgeon afterwards.  Well, I did but don't remember it.  I loved the WD saddled up.  Would hate to see that mount trying to steeplechase.  LOL!  Jackson Pratt came home with me....Dr. aopogized for me having to have another one.  I told him I was going to hang the bulb on my xmas tree when it came out.  He liked that.  Well, time to try and go back a few pages and see what I missed.  Chairs!  HD

HD......so pleased you are past this milestone.  I would gild ole JP prior to his "official hanging".

Everyone.....just hung my tapestry.  It is absolutely gorgeous, and a wonderful replacement for the painting that had to go.

Got in a ton of walking today, so feel caught up that way too.

Having some red wine in anticipation of the LAST OF THE POT ROAST.

Have been enjoying all the fun posts and general merriment.

Thursday will be my fun evening.  Back to the wine bar to "test" prior to shipping out Christmas wine.  A bit pricey, but well worth it.  Tons to celebrate, so will make sure I get in enough "tastes".

HD - I need to go back a few pages too, so much going on - so glad you are doing well, effin bummer about JP...s*** p*** s***!!! Don't know if I told you when I escaped from the hospital my last surg DD had a bag of potato chips for me...I know that sounds weird, but it was perfect at the moment, glad you enjoyed your coffee!

Claire - Food still makes me gag, but fortunately I bought a bunch of fruit and yogurt and that is delightful..I'm choking down a bit of NY steak and tortellini alfredo, stuff I normally would love...just for protein at the moment..and I've got about a hens egg of gewertz, which tastes good, but doesn't feel so good. This will pass - yeay!! There is tons to celebrate!

Yay HD! Glad to see you here. Yeah, JP sucks... that's his job. I didn't mind having him around but I dread the breakup. Wish I could drink coffee after surgery -- I told DD to bring me Starbucks when she came to visit but couldn't even stand the smell of it for several days. Enjoy your tipsy pills... hope you recover quickly cuz I need some help with my tree... I'm dragging it down to the lounge for some much needed support.

Think it is my bike.....have been walking this week though with the sidewise rain and other fun conditions out there.

Time to sharpen my skis and head for the mountains this weekend.  Can't wait to get in some miles on them.

Need to track down everything so I am ready by Saturday.  Just so much fun to be in the snow.

HD, glad you are home. Hope you are not in too much pain.

Love ALL the pics that have been posted, and glad to see the bus decorated.

Junie, all I had to do was add the faces to the videos. You can do one with you, hubby and Pancho. Its called Elf Yourself, by OfficeMax. http://www.elfyourself.com/?002=2109531&004=2144210104&005=13000448498&006=6876971104&007=Search&008=&gclid=CLja6uSk7qUCFRRKgwodVSZhpg

You use pictures from your computer, zoom in the face you want and move the little dots around the face to get it just right.

    Kathy, safe travels.

We were suppose to leave tomorrow morning, but we are getting rain tonight and snow accross Flagstaff. So we are heading out this afternoon instead, to beat it all. Staying in Laughlin for free! So not too bad. Y'all have a great rest of the week, and a wunnerful weekend!

Hi Loungers!  I had a whoppin 2 hours of sleep last night....OWWWWWW!  Not going to whine more than 2 sentences, but I hurt a bit.  Ok, that is two.  Lori, be careful driving.  Have fun at Laughlin.  I got to be ready for the bus today with Junie.  Love the bus.  Gawd Claire....glad you weren't on your bike when the bus hit it.....LOL!  Saw on the news where a bus driver had to resign for hitting a snowman some teens had built on the road for a prank  Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ2aAmMRjxc
I am going to have some coffee and try to get my head screwed on straight for our bus trip.  Dorothy, have fun at your pre-ops today too.  Kathy, are ya home yet?  Please forgive me for not replying to everyone....I have some coffee with my name on it!  Happy Humper!  HD

    Did someone say coffee??

HD - You don't look like you slept too well...I didn't sleep well last night neider...Last night I shot an elephant in my pajamas and how he got in my pajamas I'll never know...(j/k)...quoting Groucho Marx - he he he he. Love the snowman video - wow, wipeout! I'm sorry you are in pain and I hope you will get over to the percotini fountain QUIK-like and feel better....just remember, Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana...(more Groucho)...hope you feel better soon (and give the JP a nice Hawaiian punch for me)!

Goldie - thanks again for da fun videos - made me laugh!! Hope you have a safe trip and stay warm!

DorothyK - you are so funny, I so much enjoy your posts, hollering at stupid people...more from Groucho on the subjikt: "Now there's a man with an open mind -- you can feel the breeze from here!" Hope you have a great day with stupid people - ha ha ha

Claire - I hope you have fun skiing...my DH wants to head to da mountains when da roasting of righty is dun...I'm looking forward to being ungrounded and getting on my XC's or snow shoes. Den we R heading to CA to visit fam. I always miss dem terrible- like, den when I'm wi dem dey drive me crazy. I will proly be able to drink heavily by den (thank the Good Lord) as datz how I lernt how to deal wi da fam....he he he!

Junie - For Christmas decorations I broke down yesterday and bought a red candle for $1.50 and stuck it in a holder on the mantle. I have a beautiful nativity set that my mom hand painted, but like most of my life it's in storage...I'm still muddling through this huge mess my chemo brain has made. I got some boxes and put some stuff in like to send for Christmas presents...then I got all funcused about what was in da boxes so I just went to bed. That's when I saw da pink elephant...I got a box of Christmas cookies, you know the Danish butter cookies but they tasted weird, so DH will have to eat them. I had to find more peanut butter cups as DH at all my dark chocolate ones from TJs. Now that man is a major chocoholic! Good luck with your Christmas stuff. And super good luck today!!!

Wahine - gosh I just hate leaving dear furbabies. To hear they were shivering, I know how much worry that is. That's one reason we have no pets right now due to so much travel. One time we left our old cat in the house with neighbors looking in on him, but the temps dropped and they didn't think to adjust the heater and he was not used to that and was so cold and upset when we got home, I felt so awful for him. I miss having a furbaby so much and there is an animal shelter a few miles away. Always thinking of stopping in to pick someone up, but have held off for now till life is back to "normal" - you have a safe trip and get back here soon! I always love your posts!!! Happy Travels!

AStorm - I love your new WD pic, but I can't read the bottom.

Now Groucho words of advice for myself: "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Waiting for my brain to come back...heading to the bar for some Irish Coffee with two snaps, a wiggle and a twist. Hope you all have an awesome Humpy Day!!! ~bEaNnnnnnn

Hi girlzzz! Just a second to let you  know I got home okay....tired and trying to unpack ALL the stuff we brought back (3 pcs of luggage over 60# ea, plus carryons). GLAD TO KNOW that you are doing ok HonkyD! Was worried about you, and I know you are horribly sore and have to deal with jp, but glad you are back home and that the surgery is behind you now! Junie, hoping you had excellent results on the scan, and nothing bad showed up! Will check out your videos later Lori....can't wait, as you got rave reviews! Funny posts Beans and Dorothy, and love the bus Gail! Lori, travel safely....and hope you win $$$! They cancelled school here at 11am today (did that yesterday) cause of predicted ice/sleet, low temps....so it was COLD when we got back home, and of course I only brought a lightweight jacket....dumb me, but I didn't want to carry a heavy coat. Will join you later and bend anyone's ear if they want to hear about my trip....LOL.

    Glad to be back!

I'm camped out by the pool in a hammock, just got home from a massage and feeling very relaxed and content.  I discovered something fun--put a shot of cinnamone schnapps in a glass and then pour in eggnog.  It looks really pretty and tastes even yummier!  Ah, here comes Jocks with a side table, a bottle of cinnamon schnapps, and pitcher of eggnog, and a nice clear glass for me to pour into.  Watching the pretty red swirl around in the eggnog is sooo entertaining.  Got to drink lots so I can keep making the pretty drink, and swing gently and just relax. . .

Oh you all are just wonderful!!! Love the WD picture! Adore the decorated bus!!!! + Clair's bike  and HD for you to see that and think Bam! Well you still have your humor! Glad surgery went well.Kathy, glad you are home safe and sound.

I took my kids to see Cirque du Soliel last night. It was wonderful except that I felt terrible - found out I had a temp of 101. No wonder I felt so dreadful. Anyway, now fully medicated and very tired. But love all the fun posts!

wow, wonder how many flavors of Schnappes do they now make - hadn't heard of cinnamon.

Beanie - they keep the pink elephants in the back room so you have to ask, cause otherwise everyone would want one! You know when I was pregnant and in the hospital on magnesium sulfate not only did I think I had a tremendous room but I was joined with purple cows.

I think I will be switching out my bike for skis this weekend.  Can't wait.  Will do the easier run prior to taking the chair lift up the mountain.  Then I will REALLY NEED some "relaxant" when I get home.

Just a quiet meal in tonight, but tomorrow afternoon I will do the Picasso show at the Seattle Art Museum followed by the wine buy at Tasting Room.  I have learned that wine is just fine for the majority of my friends :)   I will make sure I "inspect" so that they all get the right present.

Greatly looking forward to 2011.  Think a milestone year for me.  New people, new challenges, a new hair style (longer!!!), and new potions to imbibe.

I am ready for my oncologist visit on the 4th.  Need to tell her about the "hormonal issues" I am having that are leading to interrupted sleep.  These are the hormones of my upstairs neighbors!!!

Not worried as I do OK that way on my own.  But a warning to get good dampening agents if you live where others can hear your "action".

I think the great news is that all of us are moving forward.  And, did I mention, having FUN???

On to the PAR-TAY. - Claire

But Beans, yourz take longer to read! LOL! Kathy, glad you all made it home safe. Sorry 'bout the weather, but it's looking pretty crappy almost every where. Stanzie, so sorry you are sick Cry, I'm thinking you better stay away from the cinnamon and egg nog! And since Kathy took up HD's share of drinks (not really, she just helped) I'll help out in drinking some of yours! Feel better soon! Claire, please let us know what your onc says about the upstairs hormonal issues! LMAO!

Good Morning HD! I will grab a drink and chat with you at the p-fountain! Well, on 2nd thought my back is killing me, so maybe I should partake of the p-fountain with you. Sooooooo glad that surgery is behind you. YAY!!!!!! Hope the p-fountain is helping.....you seem to be tolerating the recovery well. Well, after all you are a pro at surgery recovery now! I hope you won't need any surgeries in 2011.....won't that be nice....and you can use your vacay days for FUN and not hospital stays. Maybe that should be my Christmas wish for you....no more surgeries next year!!! Just smooth sailing and dancing with NED. DH must have caught something, or jetlag hit him harder than normal. Even tho he slept soooo much on the flights, other than 2 trips to grocery and post office yesterday, he slept most of the day and night! Hope he feels better today as we have tons to do and I haven't even finished unpacking.....made quite a mess here yesterday. I can't  believe all the likker we brought back....and nothing broke! I also bought back over 30 books for my DD....used...but was thankful to find some she didn't have....since she has thousands in her library room at home. (Had to call her each time I found some good ones to make sure!). Today is warmer...might even get up to 50...what a change from the past 4-5 days when they had snow, and then all the ice yesterday on the roads. Very rainy though!

Well, sorry to ramble...just got up. Just wanted to chat with "Honky" for awhile. Will still try to catch up on posts later today. Got lots of things to pack up and mail today, plus more Christmas cards to write. Hope everyone is more caught up than I am, this season! Stanzie, I sure hope your temp is back to normal, and you are feeling much better today. Have a Thrilling Thursday girlzzzzz! (Remember the parties we would have and call them that?).

    Peace Out,

    Kath

Lori, Just saw your post...was typing when you posted! HOW in the world did I not see you at the p-fountain???? I must be wasted....lol. Please be careful driving, and hope you have a good time! Yes, definately you should help Stanzie drink....lol....you and I can be wasted together!Wink

Stanzie - I sure hope you feel better, that's too bad you weren't feeling well for the Cirque du Soliel but sounds like you had fun any way. Maybe you can join all of us at the percotini fountain. I'm so glad I'm not the only one seeing pink elephants and purple cows - LOL!

Claire - ha ha ha you have me rolling talking neighbor hormones, hope your oncologist can help with that! Too cool going to Picasso show...one of the nice things about living in the city...so much culture...have a good one and fun skiing!

HD - Glad things are looking good - I leave for tans at 1pm my apts are at 1:45 takes me about 40 min to get there. So I will be at the p-fountain all morning. Wishing you only the best and a speedy recovery!!!

Wahine - well, since you're complaining about it, I will too...my back has been hurting to much so I'm going to the p-fountain to chat and forget it. I sure hope HD doesn't need more surgeries is 2011. Let us all dance with NED in 2011!!! Sorry to hear DH maybe sick, hope he feels better too. Have fun unpacking all that booze and books, stay warm and see you at the p-fountain.

AStorm - Have you seen all the weiner dog t-shirts and stuff at cafepress? My DS has an old WD and I'm sending her and her SO some of those for Christmas - those dogs are so cute. Did I ever tell you I had a poodle (great dog) and a golden Labrador (also great dog) and a Newfoundland (also great dog). I see them in my dreams sometimes...hope you are doing well...

ROFLMAO Beans, at those pics!!!! Well to be honest it takes me longer to read your posts too, but I LOVE every minute of it....I love trying to figure out what the words mean. DO NOT STOP.....they are so funny, and I know we all enjoy them so much. You are SO creative! Just think, you are keeping our minds young....you know they say to challenge your mind with puzzles, word games, etc.....so you are doing us a good deed! I love 'em! Sorry to hear your back hurts too.....since I have degenerative discs, it always takes awhile to get going in the morning...but today it really spasmed (?) a lot....more than normal. I need to get out those therapy exercizes I am supposed to do, and actually start doing them. Guess that is why they aren't helping....just seeing them on a piece of paper does not work....lol. Do you do any, for your back? OR maybe staying at the p-fountain all day might help us!!!!

Ciao for Niao, Gotta get working instead of slurping (drinks)...then happy hour later...yay!

    Hi Wahine....

Yep, you need to do the exercises.  Sorry to let you know this.  Just so important, even if we hadn't had BC.  Your back and abdominal muscles support your lumbar spine.  I know that my neck kills me if I don't lift.  Think same deal with cervical spine.

Walking is just so important too.  Who wants osteoporosis???  That is one reason I make sure I get at least half my outside exercise from walking.  I cycle for cardio and endurance, but walk to make sure I maintain bone density.  Dragging home groceries helps too.

Cycling also helps with the back and abs as well as giving you killer legs.

But nothing does the job like x-country skiing.  I can't wait to go on Saturday. - Claire
