I realy need to shake this bah-humbug soon! Christmas is 12 days away and there is no cheer in my house. I remember my mom being like this when I was a teenager. I went around decorating everything and put bells on everyone's shoes to remind them it was Christmastime. It was easier when the kids were little and so filled with awe -- now they just keep telling me what they do/ do not want for gifts. DH has really been difficult to buy gifts for... he returns everything and sometimes makes comments that hurt my feelings. I'm thinking maybe it is time for us all to go to the soup kitchen and feed the homeless.

Sounds like many of us have unpleasant relatives! Wahine, just come hang out with us until it's over! Too bad you can't just enjoy your time with your parents. As much as I prefer to stay home for the holidays, going to the ILs forces me to get my act together. This is one of those rare Christmases when we will not see any relatives and it feels sort of like a non-holiday. I have nieces and nephews all over the country so I'm thinking about trying to get everyone to Skype at least for a few minutes. Maybe you should try that next year with your bad relative?

Lori - I think my DH would do that if he could get away with it. When I was younger I had a few relationships where I was the "mom" and took care of the guys but I started to resent that. Seems like I've gotten less accepting of this sort of behaviour with each relationship and even though I have to remind DH (maybe it's a gender thing?) he does things for me now when I do ask. I think the playful, irresponsible type has always been drawn to me, or maybe there are just more men like that circulating. I wouldn't describe DH as irresponsible but I think if he had a choice he'd just go to the beach every day. The other day he commented that I work "parttime" and I just lost it. Not only do I put in more hours than he does, but I study in addition to that and I do all the housework, cooking, shopping and carpooling to school. I didn't really take time off when i had surgeries (ok, 2 weeks for the bmx but that was the max). But then I realized that maybe it's not a bad thing that he thinks he works harder than I do... Instead of resenting this, I talked to him about it which made me feel better but probably didn't change his perspective one bit. When I was younger I would have just pretended it didn't bother me until I couldn't suck it up anymore and then I'd leave. It is difficult and painful but maybe your DD will grow a backbone. It just sucks that we have to. My mom was a traditional southern woman and men always thought they needed to take care of her. Why didn't I get that kind of charm?

Well I have to go to San Francisco today and be professional so I'll have my Kahlua later. I'll be listening to Gone with the Wind on the way and maybe I'll figure out how southern women charm their men... Scarlett invented big girl panties.

Happy Monday HTL Hotties! Hope your week is starting out well!

Claire - you and AStorm are too classy with your Gucci bags and all. I use an old Douney and Bourke (the one with the duck - quack quack) that I got on eBay for about $10 (I'm a pinnee pincher). I wish I could have been born with a stylish gene, but I sure wasn't. Anyway, glad your bag got fixed. Thanks for the congrats - it's really big!

Wahine - I think my BD was last month, but I think too that AStorm's is this month??? Not too sure I thot she menshund it. So sorry you had to deal with a horrid relative!! I know all about that and when they say stuff that pusses you off you have to be polite, well I always try. Last time one of them was around I finally had to say a little something to shut it up. Still tried to say it in a nice way, but errrrrrr so annoying! What a relief to get away and take a relaxing walk with DH afterward...when do you go home? Visiting is fun, but there's no place like home with furbabies.

Stanzie - Thank you for the congrats - what an ordeal to complete! That is weird that the cellist just quit and bummer about the recording...sounds like it was fun anyway. Barnical Bottom?? That's funny, doesn't sound good, but you say it was fab... ha ha ha !

Goldie - I popped the very last one this morning cussing my brains out! Thanks for permission, I think I will frame my empty bottle - thanks so much for the congrats. Sorry to hear your DD has to work and her husband is so lackadaisical, I'd be so pussed off too about hitchhiking, oooooooo, that would bug the s*** outa me!

HD - yes, as wahine says, please let us know when surg is so we can bring our bacon vodka along and sit with you drinking and being abnoxious to the drs and nurses!!

    cocker

Cocker dooooodle dooo to you tooo Junie! Glad the kenogod was not on a vaca - where I come from vaca means cow...tee hee! so glad you had fun and got outa da casa. The first snow is soooo pretty, but arntcha glad it left? I get tired of it when I'm in the mountains. I shouldn't complain, cuz alls I get is wet at the coast, makes me miss the snow where I can go out without getting wet. Thanks for the Scarlett-isms reminder, she was cool!

Angel - Whoopie!! so glad you had fun at the party, good luck with your keeem-ho, mine went really well and I so hope the same for you! I like your sig line - kicking cancer's butt...it has been full time for me since dx in March...now just 16 rads to go and then all back to normal - ha ha ha! Completed 6 cycles of CMF (2 weeks on and 2 weeks off since July, MF by infusion and C by pills for the two weeks on - total of 12 infusions and 12 weeks of pills)...these wonderful HTL ladies have really pulled me through it!! You sound like you have a great attitude so I know it will go well for you!!

NM - That Russian Hot Chocolate Cocktail and Big Girl Panties Cookies look awesome - nice choice. I think I see someone I know under that bus...

DorothyK - hope you have a great week and eat all the Godivas you want!!

AStorm - I pretty much stopped buying DH stuff due to he would complain and just return it - nothing was ever right. It used to bother me a lot, but now I just get him a weird small thing that gets put in the junk drawer...it makes him laugh for a minute and since I don't spend much it's not worth returning. He mainly likes my home cooked meals.  I'm sorry you have the holiday blues...since my dear FIL passed away 5 years ago we don't have any more inlaws on his side. DH had a small fam and since I've known him they all dropped their bodies one by one...then I get bc dx...go figure...Well there is my MIL but DH doesn't communicate with her due to childhood weird stuff. I do miss my FIL, he was really fun to be with but darn prostate cancer got him. DH and I will be alone for Christmas as I'm grounded for daily rads. We have decided to make gourmet hamburgers and home made onion rings for Christmas dinner - it should be fun and I think by then food will be tasting edible again. Love the Scarlett pic and quote!! BTW - I just watched the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" again and there are some big girl panties there - I just loved that movie. Hope you have a good day in SF - say hello for me I so miss the bay area! And have fun with GWTW!! Hey, one more thing...is your BD this month??

Well, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but I will say I'm so effing excited to be dun with chemo today!!! I also want to say with all seriousness and sincerity that you ladies here at the HTL have helped me soooooooooo much to get through this - you have no idea how much the laughing, caring and support you've given me have made that crazy train ride much easier. From the bottom of my heart I say a gigantic THANK YOU!

    thank you

Now let's get to the important part, where's all them Russians??? Come on tattie tenders float these around for all the girls, I'm buying today!!! Let's PARTY HEARTY!

    Woohoo!!! Beanie

You must be so thrilled! We are all so happy for you. I have to say, you have really been an inspiration. I'm all pissy and whiny for no reason and it is encouraging to see how you have kept your sense of humor through your treatment. Hope you are prepared for a WEEK of major celebrating at the lounge. Heck we should just celebrate your completion right into Christmas!

Claire has far more class than I. All my bags were gifts. I am carrying a Dooney today... a little tan and black barrel with the "DB" logo and a chunky duck charm that always smacks into things. I actually love this little bag because everything fits and there is a pocket for my cell so I don't have to fish for it. I just feel awkward carrying a non-LV bag into LV. Oh, and I didn't get it fixed. It has to go to Paris ... uh huh... Paris... and they take off two weeks for Christmas so I won't get it back for 8 weeks. I'm thinking, forget the bag just send ME to Paris. LOL

And no it's not my BD. I'm a July girl.

Oooo, the Today Show is going to tell us how to lose belly fat FOR GOOD! Darn I have to go to work! I miss all the important stuff!

    Hello Loungettes,

    Happy Monday to all!

Beans -  {{{{HUGS}}}} and big congrats on being done with chemo!!!  Sure has been a long road for you.  Soon you'll be feeling better and better each day.  LOVE the little kitty rolling a catnipper!!

All this talk about in-laws makes me glad we're too far away to make it easy to get together very often.  So much family drama/baggage and over the years it just gets old.  My side of the family is pretty sparse anyway; one brother in Texas and one in Phoenix AZ.  The TX bro has long been estranged although we've recently started talking on the phone occasionally.  The AZ bro does drive over to visit a few times a year, but my DH doesn't really care for him much so it's always a strain.  DH's fam is spread out all over the country and none of us have enough money to travel anyway.  Why the heck can't we all just be happy families??  Tolerance has given way to narcissism and who's right about this or that.  Who cares?  Just have a drink and shoot the breeze!

It does sound funny to me when ya'all talk about it not feeling like Christmastime when it's so warm.  Being in SoCal my whole life - it's always warm so I don't know any better.  We've only been in the snow a few times at DH's fam but it would help if it were chillier here.  I'm having a hard time getting in the spirit of things, but I'm starting to get antsy to get some things going.

Cheers to all for an SE-free day!!

WOW....so much to comment on! NM, love the drink...chocolate and likker is ALWAYS good!!! How bout if I stuff the Big Girl Panties in HER mounth....LOL. Then I might be able to tolerate her....if she keeps her mouth shut. OR maybe I can throw her under that bus...good idea!

Hmmmmm.....I sure thought someone had a birthday closer to Christmas, but maybe was remembering Beans' birthday that was near Thanksgiving??? I must be losing it (again!). Awwwww love the doggie pic! Miss my furbabies soooo much. We leave for home tomorrow....yay!!!!

AStorm, If you missed that show, wonder if they are talking about the "Flat Belly" book...by editor of Prevention Mag? I love that way of eating and want to get back on it, as it works!!! Just a hard first week, and then making sure to only eat certain things...but I had lots of energy and felt better too.

ITs been a rough week. My parents were even fussy towards my DH....sheesh.....even on his birthday. ANd all he does is help them. Funny to want to leave paradise, but right now my paradise will be returning to my home! Tired of "pussy footing" around everyone! You all are great....so glad I had you all to hang out with when things got rough, here. Might do more shopping today, and walk on the beach, and then pack, pack, pack!

Sorry I didn't answer everyone...can't remember all that I want to respond to once I start writing.  BUT I enjoy all the posts, and think highly of all of you!

    Beach Party!

Not as much class as you guys think.  I bought the Gucci shopping bag something like 15 years ago resale.  It was cheap as had some wear even then.  I have used it and used it.  I really didn't want to replace it as they don't make anything as functional any more.  So I am thrilled.  Think a similar story for the Chanel.  It was sitting in my closet looking old and worn while all the mega-bags were in style.  Well shoulder straps are back in, so once I knew the Gucci could be fixed, I wondered about the Chanel.

It's like I have TWO new bags now.

For the last year, I have been using a Prada knock off leather backpack that I got for $5 at the Goodwill Glitter Sale.  Similar story for what I have on right now.  Two items from the resale shop, and shoes from eBay.

Astorm......you can catch all the Today items on the web later.  I don't have a television and keep up that way.

FURTHERMORE, you need to go Christmas shopping.  You start with buying presents for yourself.  One of these should be a wonderful potion for those "stressful" days.  Grand Marnier???

Major congrats Beans!!!!  Is the sun out where you are????  Olympics are just glorious this morning as upper elevations got snow.  I am thinking that Snoqualmie Pass will freeze over, then more snow, so should be a good base for skiing at Cabin Creek this weekend.  YAY!!!

X-country skiing melts all the excess fat and tightens anything it doesn't melt.  I can't wait to go.

Anyway, five days of WORK between now and skiing.  And some good wine too of course.

Will join all of you at the ski-up bar later.  Then happy hour in front of a roaring fire.

Would love a Black Russian just about now, but Pink Pepto is my drink of the day to deal with Clindamycin induced diarrhea.  OMG -- I should just move into the bathroom.  Seeing the PS in an hour to make sure my infected seroma is no longer infected and tell him about this lovely reaction to the antibiotic that made me stop 5 days early.  Have done nothing about Christmas except procrastinate -- Bah Humbug....

See you at the ski-up bar later, providing there is a bathroom nearby.

Bonnie.....get a mega probiotic.  That will fix things down there.  I got Keflex for that problem.  One of my colleagues back in the day spent 7 or 9 innings of a baseball game in the men's room.

You need the capsules.  As a nurse explained things, you would need to eat something like 50 gallons of yogurt to get the same amount of help.  Good luck.

Honky D, It is understandable that you would be nervous b4 your surgery! Now, since you prob can't drink tonight, I will be a good sport and drink double of everything, for you....how does that sound? lol.

Girls, lets rally round and wake up that bus driver dude and get this journey started! Gotta pick us up from all parts of the world, and have us join HD tomorrow....surely the drs and nurses won't notice us, since we will magically be teeny tiny and fit in her pocket. OR else if we have enough maryjane, we will *THINK* we are invisible anyway! Hunky D,  I mean Honky,we will try to keep the noise down and make sure everyone treats you well and that your surgery is perfect! When you get out of recovery, then we will speed over to Junie's for her CT scan.

Beans, CONGRATS!!!! You made it through the keemo.....yeah!!!!!! WooHoo! You are a real trooper. I know the rads will be a piece of cake for you.....well I can hope so anyway.

Nice sunny, hot day here....but no tradewinds, so I am feeling the heat today! Wish you all were here!

    That and Beans being finished.

Wahine.....if I were there, I'd be hiking or swimming.  Or cycling.  Thanks for taking care of our girl HD by drinking doubles of everything.

Just finished up a rewrite of the report I sent out last night.  Had another piece of data I needed to add in.  Reshaped stuff and shipped back out.

Now to pay a couple of outstanding bills Tongue out

And buy some wine for dinner along with doing my walk.

Okay, I went to 11 (YES, ELEVEN!) stores today, (Avenue, JCPenney, Walmart, Beauty Experience (for fake eyelashes ya'all), Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, TJ Maxx, Home Depot, Lowes, Al's (local sporting goods store), True Value Hardware, mostly returning stuff we bought for the kitchen and some clothes I bought without trying on at the store (always a bad idea).  It was a 5-hour adventure and I am pooped.  BUT, it's a good benchmark to know what I'm capable of as I prepare to go back to work on Jan 3rd.

    Chardonnay, here I come!

Kathy, lmao at the Willie reference and us disappearing, so funny.  I can come tomorrow for hunkyd but am wondering if it is byob- guessing that the boys will be there to serve us while we wait! And I checked on your furbabies tonight and they are doing well but I brought them to the lounge to hand out with me-they said to tell you to bring them some treats! Hurry, get here!! We are waiting.

Beano, darling, I have been celebrating the end of your caca days since 7am!! congrats again and again and again! Not only are us girls impressed with your fun whit and humor while going through some shi__y days, the whole lounge staff is really impressed too and they are throwing a surprise party for you. Come on in, SURPRISE!!  ~~we are jumping up and down we are in our party hats!!

    Hi Claire,

How many miles did you cycle today?  I did the steps down today at work twice - 48 each time, progress and baby steps.

HD, I do wish you well with your surgery tomorrow, let us know you done good when you are able! I will be thinking about cha tomorrow.

Bonnie, sorry you are hanging at the ladies room at the lounge, I hope you can come out soon and party with us.  We have ginger ale, feel better and mix up those mega gallons of yogurt flavors, it will go down easier.

Stanzie and Mrs Nice, I hope you ladies are able to get into the spirit of Christmas and spend time with the family that you love most, fugget about de odders who don't repect ya....and I had a hard time getting started with my tree and still have the house decor in boxes but I did get it down and plan on finishing. When I was decorating our tree last night, I found myself singing which surprised me! I took a break and got back to it and found myself singing yet again.  I urge you to get to it, it will make you feel good, I betcha double or nothing!!

I have not bought one gift.  Unlike Stanzie and company, I hate hate hate shopping, I get so impatient with others. I realized today why I tend to want to hate people in general, my job does that too me and that is not cool. Hate is a strong word and I really don't hate people but my clients make me nuts. I now remember why I always drink so much, one word, work.

Goldie, thanks for permission to cuss here.  I like name calling real estate agents, I had one today that I called a whore.  It made me feel better.  Is that right?

To all, come on in and salute the empty caca bottle!!!!!!!

Claire, we like to come in the cooler months, which means the water is usually pretty cold....brrr! So the tradeoff is, when we come in the winter months we don't usually get to swim. Love to hike the mountain behind my parents house, but this trip we were pretty busy doing other things. I'll  leave the cycling to you! Been taking longs walks on the beach most days, and we really enjoy that. Then, of course, hoisting up a drink or two or three....thats gotta count as exercize right????

Mrs.Nice, I can't recall Steve Martin doing a Let's Get Small thing.....maybe it would be on youtube? Would love to see it, as I think he is hilarious. Yes, have some chardonnay, put your feet up, relax tonight...you deserve it!

Gotta go to the beach to get some sand for our luminaries tonight....almost forgot to do that! And then will get back just in time for happy hour!!!! Starting to pack up all the stuff we are taking back....so much! HD, I will be thinking of you tomorrow......wishing you the very best outcome! And be so very careful and rest, when you come home....oh yeah, load up on pain pills and stool softies! Hugs to you!!!

    Kathy

P.S. Dorothy I missed your post while I was typing! Thank you ever so much for bringing my furbabies with you to the HTL.....how sweet is that! Looks like Maverick has rolled over and is getting belly rubs too, which he loves. Molly is trying to jump up on someone's lap. We do miss them, and can't wait to see them. I couldn't see your picture for some reason? Might be my netbook. Love your posts!!!

Wow, Mrs Nice, can you do my running too?  Very impressive, glad your mission went well.... And I see so many girls with the false eye lashes and wonder if they are comfy?? Have you used them before?

  • Unknown
    edited December 2010

I have used false lashes only a couple of times (once a few years ago, non-chemo related).  Once they're set I don't even feel them.  My lashes were quite sparse and very light to begin with, and I'm fair-skinned/blue-eyed, so I look very sleepy or "blank" without lashes and makeup.  This time I bought brown ones, as I think the black ones look too obviously fake on me.  Not sure how much I will wear them; probably not an every-day work thing, but maybe for fun during the holidays until mine come back.

And thanks Dorothy for the encouragement about the holidays - I am finding that the more I do the better I feel.  I'm just a grumpy-puss by nature and have to look for the good stuff.  Haven't been to church in a long while either, which usually lifts me up so I'll try to get to that too.

I did buy some nice Brandy . . . not super high-end, but very smooth and not the cheapo stuff either.  Eggnog, anyone??

huggsssss, HunkyD--will be thinking about ya manana!!

My decorating is still in boxes...not making much progress with that--but, did get out cards; made mailing labels; sent DH for stamps--project for tomorrow.  And, today, I did the unthinkable!   I baked two loaves of Banana Nut Bread....DH has asked if I've lost my mind!!!  Betty Crocker, I'm not--(now, if her name was Betty Crocked, I might be in the running!)

Wahine--travel safe!   Know you'll be glad to get home --been a stressful time in paradise for you!  Keep a suitcase packed for the bus trip--it's gonna be a busy bus for a couple days....thanks AStorm for loaning the dream machine to take us all on the road as needed!

And wanted to mention that my DH is the MOST IMPOSSIBLE person to buy a gift for--nothing is ever good enough!   So, have resorted to really personal gag-type gifts....two of his favorites have been t-shirts....one was a "ten best golfers in the world"   His name was printed number two under Tiger Woods name.....the other was one with a big black lab pic that read...Pancho's Dad!   Those were big hits!

Terrific Tuesday coming up......cHairs, chEARS, dog beers, and always always bottomsup!!!!

HD - Will be thinking wonderful positive healing thought for you!!! You will be fine. Hope you can sleep tonight!

I do adore buying the perfect gift and I go overboard most of the time. My son even tells me, its Ok you don't need to go to so much trouble, but I don't know how to do it otherwise. We decorated the tree tonight and he was so sweet as I got totally blindsided by Liesl's stocking, ornaments and little Christmas outfits - he was so sweet to me! Man whoever the girl is who steals his heart is the luckiest woman alive. I'd so adore to find a guy that thoughtful and considerate and just kind. Oh well, sugar plum fairy dreams....

Getting a horrid cold (probably lack of sleep) but just hate it when the coughing gives me a truely mind blowing headache! Oh you all are so quick with everything I can't keep up so I apologize for not addressing all the posts

Quickly though, Kathy safe trip home tomorrow!

Does any one have a guy who appreciates the thoughtful gifts and reciprocates? My SO is more than terrible on this front. Ugh, better try and sleep since I've been up since 4:17am! Long day.... yawn.....

Thanks for the great laughs !  Do any of you like low-fat eggog with a little bit of brandy and half coffee or half skim milk?  then top with whipped cream and nutmeg ???

Bought Malibu coconut rum - had $10 rebate.  Love it with a little pineapple juice over crushed ice.  or orange juice.  That counts as a fruit, right??

    Cheers !!

erica--sounds like fruit to me!  Coconut rum sounds yummy!

Sine there seems to be a little cold or something going 'round the lounge maybe we need a fruity DOTD--

How about a nice Rum Punch?

    1 cup Coconut Rum
    1 liter Dark Rum
    12 oz (frozen) Pineapple Juice
    2 liters Tahitian Treat Soda

Yes, this makes ONE serving!  And this is the PROPER way to serve (bendy straws on the side)

Awww Gail, I'm sorry! I hope you felt better after the rant. Sometimes that's all it takes. Darrell and I don't really do Christmas, it's just him and I. Sometimes we go to Laughlin. We will go to CA on Thursday to see the Grandkids. Their dad always wants us to just leave the gifts for the kids to open Christmas morning, but I refuse to do that. I can't be there Xmas morning and I want to see them open their gifts from us!

Beans, I dunno....I think I'd be tossing that bottle as far as I could! But if you want to frame it, while dog  gone it, you should frame it! As for my daughter, it does PUSS me off, like you wouldn't believe! I am not a big spender on purses, but mine cost more than yours, $20! Ha ha! But I don't have any danglies or logos L

MrsNice, you are seriously wishing for colder temps? Weather in SD is beautiful, but I'm sorry, you couldn't PAY me to live in CA. Well not in a big city anyways, same here, you couldn't pay me to live in Phx. Chuckling at all the stores you went to. Where I live, we have 3 of those 11. Wal Mart, Home Depot and Lowes!

LOL Kathy, I think you should do both. Stuff the panties in her mouth, then throw her under the bus! I think we got chEARs after "Up your nose.....", but in conjunction with it from talking about our ears? (and how BIG mine were)

Claire, that was nice to suggest Astorm get to shopping, and get something for herself!

Oh Bonnie, so sorry for the problems. If you want to just sit in the BR, I'll come keep ya company. Hope you feel better soon and good luck with yogurt!

HD, hoppin on the bus to come join you for surgery. I think you hold the record for those! I am surprised you don't sprout leaks when you are imbibing! Good luck today, I love you!

Dorothy, you called her a whore? Why are you being so nice? LOL, j/k.

Junie, I missed or don't remember mention of the CT scan, so good luck on that. But love the "Betty Crocked" too funny!

Stanzie, embrace your memories of Liesl, for they are just as special as she was. As for finding a man that is the same............good luck! Hope you got some rest.

Erica, sounds like healthy drink to me! What part of MI are you in? Hope you are staying warm and don't have to travel. My brother started out for work this morning, took him an hour to go about 5 miles, turned around and went back home!

    I get the pink straw!

... of course, feel free to replace the Smirnoff with your prefered label.

Beanie - today is the first day of the rest of your life... start it right!

Lori - My DH *must* live in CA. He is from southern Cal and I would never have met him if he didn't move north to a small town. As we plan for retirement I'd like to consider less expensive places to live but he can't be more than biking distance away from the beach... and then there is the weather. I guess if you were born and raised in southern California the threat of snow (unless you are skiing) is just not acceptable. Can't say I need to shovel snow either but it is only one of many factors. We have been talking about what the ideal community would look like lately. My issues are more around the mindset of the population, oh and a practical issue -- housing that doesn't cost more than you can earn in the same community. I can top your $20 bargain - mine were FREE!

Yummy yummy, NM! Glad I got here early so I get my pick of crazy straws (after Beanie of course).

Erica - I haven't tried eggnog with coffee. When it comes to coffee, all coffee is good coffee so I can't imagine that would be wrong... went grocery shopping last night and noticed soy eggnog. Almost bought it for my vegetarian DD but realized she probably wouldn't touch it as she likes single ingredient foods (ok, maybe two ingredients: pasta + cream). My FIL is the only person who has ever mixed eggnog and spirits to my satisfaction (probably 50/50 knowing him).

Dee - how you doin? It's time to pop in so we don't get in the bus and come looking for you.

Stanzie - don't let that cold catch you! Hot bath, warm fuzzy robe, TV remote and hot toddy. That's my prescription! Recently my 17 YO DD discovered that if she drinks a quart of fresh juice (or a large Jamba Juice with immunity boost), then drinks half a bottle of NyQuil and passes out she feels better the next day. Guess I'll have to lock up the Nyquil with the champagne!

Thinking of Hunkydory today. HD, hope you don't get the anesthesia hangover -- that's not right. Enjoy some down time and follow my prescription for Stanzie, sans toddy. We'll send Pants over to make sure you are following doctor's orders.

Looks like he already got Stanzie set up.

Oh, and thanks for your gift idea, Beans. Can't wait for my funny DD to get home so she can help me think of something. There has been a lot of tension around here and we could both use a laugh!

Love it! I've been thinking it would be fun to have a horse but I promised no more pets.
