Sorry if I was pushy Wahine.  But just so important for all of us.

You will notice though that I wasn't willing to give up wine.

Anyway, off to do that portion of my gift-giving. - Claire

My sisters live in the Keys and they just to all sorts of odd stuff down there but one thing was they all formed a group called the CIA  - "Cuties in Action" as part of the Armed Forces of the Conch Republic and they had names like Miss Quito, and Miss Behavin, Miss Take and so on. So Claire reading your post I thought well she should be our go to for Miss Fit. But when you put it together as misfit - well that doesn't "fit" at all. I still have a fever, does it show?

See you all in the bar.........big huggggssssss to ALL!!

Beans, I love the wiener dog pics, here are my three, Mocha 14, Bella approx. 8 and Deki 9.  They are chilling in my shed here hiding from the sun. I am missing the sun, it has been cold and windy here; we had a freaking quarter inch of snow today and the traffic was backed up at the rush hour, only in NJ, people cannot drive, I wanted to lay on my horn and make them move.  I was doing some name calling. Anywhoe, nice finding someone that talks more than me, I like!!

Kathy, welcome home, there is no place like home ~that is my line lol. I hope that you are able to get the stuff put away.  I hope dd enjoys her books.

HD, wishing you well and also hope for no surgery in twenty eleven! I am anxious myself to get out of this dern year (I have another word and am biting my tongue)

Goldy gurl, I am helping you drink up HD's share too. And you wanna know a secret?? I used to prounouce La Jolla as la-jolll-lah then learned in was lay hoy-ya lol. I have to pronounce citys and towns at my job and f'd this one up big time but learned.  My fav is Waxahatchie TX, not sure why but I like saying that when I am drunk Cool.

Stanzie, weiner dogs do rock. Show your dogs my dogs and see if they wanna have a play date at the HTL, that would be FUN!

Claire, I like your attitude and I wish I had your energy.  I would break multiple bones if I tried to ski, that is a given!

Where is my bff Chrissy, I am going to page her at the HTL tonight and if needed, have the hot security guards hunt her down should she not answer her page.  PAGING CHRISSY, line 2, pick up now!

So I had my last fill today.  I am scared that I am going to bust. I've had 600 cc's since 11.5 and don't know if I can take this, it is soooo not comfy.  I have a small area near my cleavage that has opened just a weee bit.  Yikes, I better not break open now, I will be pussed as can be.  Uhhhh, so glad tomorrow is fried-day. I am ready to hang at the lounge and get wasted then come back to being positive and not itching and a-bittchin. I am calling my darnself names now.

Good night all, I must sleep, the tattie tenders made em toooooo strong tonight.

     WEINERS rock!!!

Cute doggies, Dorothy!  When I was a little girl there was a nice old man who lived down the street, and his WD was name, wait for it . . . .. Schnitzel.  Cute little guy.  I was always a cat person but now that I have my own doggie I will probably have to have one forever.  Dang - 600 cc's seems like a lot, no?  I have not had TEs but my local bff did about 3 years ago and I remember her saying her back hurt from the skin stretching.  yikes.  I'm too much of a wuss.  Haven't decided anything about recon yet.

Starting rads on Monday . . . my mom's birthday so I'll say "Happy Birthday Ida" while I'm gettin' zapped.  She never even had a mammo until she was like 70.

Okay loungettes, I've officially begun the holiday drinking.  My first eggnog with brandy is goin' down smooooooooth.

Lori - hope you enjoyed La Jolla.  Probably a bit of a cloudy day out there today.  Did you stay in San Diego area for the day?  Hope you enjoyed!!

    Wonderful news Junie!!

I have been off on a PAR-TAY of my own.  Finally got to the Picasso exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum.  Walked the mile or so there and back.  Started out at Le Panier for some Tarte Belle Helene and a latte.  The tarte is as good as I remember with pear, chocolate and frangipan.  YUM!!

Then to the Spice place in the Market for a teapot, tea, and a tea strainer for a friend of mine.  Suet for Christmas puddings next door at the meat market.  I was hoping to do all the wine ordering at Tasting Room but they were closed for a party.  So went to another wine bar and tested a new vintner.  Then a couple of glasses of Happy Hour wine with nibbles.  YUM.  Also discovered that my flirting skills are intact.

    Didn't bring anyone home though.

Almost had a terrible firemen accident.  Or rather, I didn't notice the fire truck as was looking at the sunset while crossing the streat.  That will teach me.

Glad to be home.  Sooooooooo glad I can enjoy the festivities this year.

Will have to go back to the wine bar tomorrow to order up my Christmas presents.  Bummer, but someone has to do it.  BottomZ up!!!

    Good Morning Drinking Buds!

Dorothy, Your weiner dogs are precious and beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing their pic with us. I was glad to have met Stanzie's Liesl while she was still active, as she was so beautiful and sweet too. I know she still misses her terribly. Same as you, I pronounced La Jolla wrong, until we stayed there. Boy, you learn how to pronounce it REAL QUICKLY that way.....lol. Hope that area will close up....but that does sound like a lot of fills so quickly! Take it easy if you can (time-wise thats prob not possible though at this time of year!).

Mrs.Nice, Ooohhhhhh eggnog and brandy....I haven't had that in ages....need to look for some eggnog. Could have gotten it free from our health store, but didn't feel like going there the day we returned from HI. Right now there is something free everyday....today if we go its free whole pineapple (or cored) and cookies. Since we have to get the car fixed (the extra one for my parents), will be a perfect time to get some freebies! Best to you on Monday for your rads....and Happy Birthday to your mom.....does she live near you? Hope you can see her b4 your suntan!

Looking for HD by the pool......or the p-fountain! Hope you are doing okay today. Junie, looks like you are passed out next to your empty bucket of ML's after all that celebrating last night...and ohhhhh how sweet....Pants had covered you with a blanket and put a pillow under your head. They sure take care of us here!

TGIF! Wishing everyone a great Friday. Yeah, Chrissy, where are you? Did you get that APB that Dorothy sent out looking for you? (I think it was you, Dorothy). We miss you.....hope you are back home now. And Beans.....are you doing ok today???? NM, any new wines to try that you have made? Gail, hope your DD is being better.....after all Santa might be more generous to her if she is real nice to her mom!! Take care everyone, and drink up!!!

Hi, I am still at the fountain.  I thought I might break away from it for a while but found out different at 4 this morning.  I could barely get out of bed.  I don't cry very easily (for pain) but I had some tears this morning.  Guess I am in too much of a hurry.  So, I will just be sitting here waiting for some company.  I can lick stamps for anyone doing their Xmas cards.  Happy Fried Day!  HD

HD, I am sorry you are feeling so bad, I am sending you healing thoughts and prayers.  I like that you have not loss your sense of humor despite your pain,,be careful not to get a paper cut on your tongue while doing all that licking!

To all, have a wonderful evening and stay warm where ever you are!

HD, Sorry to hear about the pain....DO take your pain pills as needed! Joining you at the p-fountain, but having some Moscato instead. We can hang out and stare at the Tattie Tenders (such good eye candy!), and gossip! Surgery is sooooo hard on your body; give yourself time to heal, and let all the tears fall when they must. Then your DH will realize what you have been going through! Hang in there!!! Oh, I forgot to ask...will you write my cards too AND lick them? I still have more to do, but was busy helping the parents today.

Dorothy, I can't believe you didn't invite ALL of us to your sisters party! LOL. Sounds like fun, and I hope you have a G8 time....you definately deserve it! Be careful driving home.

Enjoying some brie and nuts with my drink....yummo. Have a good evening, gals!

Didn't mean to be a whiner!  I am just wanting to be a wino.  I have not had too many stamps to lick this afternoon. You gals must all be out xmas shopping and partying.  I did some activity today...chopped some candied pecans and made a beautiful fresh green and crumbled blue cheese green salad.  I made a homeade dressing and it turned out pretty good for a gal just off the cutting board herself.  Guess we will watch a Netflix movie tonight.  I would rather be going to the party with you Dorothy.  Beans...where are you?  Kathy, thanks for hangin' with me.  Later all.....HD

Well, a long week is finally over with.  Not a bad week, just a long one.  I t was so nice to sleep in this morning, I did't get up until 6:30!  Technology and I have barely been on speaking terms all week.  Still, I've gotten everything done that I needed to and few fun things besides!  Had a massage, when shopping for clothes and found 2 pair of jeans that fit great AND are 4 sizes smaller than I wore before recon!  I even splurged on 2 pair of dress boots--one pair with heels.  I haven't worn high heels in years!  I even found a couple of causal tops to wear around the house, in large!  I haven't been able to wear a top smaller than a 2X since I got my full (natural) breast size!  I am so delighted to be able to buy clothes "off the rack" without searching out plus sizes!

Sorry to carry on so about something that is pretty trivial, but it is such a big deal to me, I just wanted to celebrate a little!

DOTD:  How about a Lemon Celebration?

    1 oz Bacardi Limon Rum
    3 oz Champagne
    1 oz Raspberry Liqueur

The tenders assure me that this mixes well with the P-fountain!

YAHOO!!!!!!  I'M BAAAACK!!!!!!!  Yes girlz, I have returned and am now home in my own little house and back with a stable internet connection.....YAY!!!!!!!!     I have missed you guys soooo much! I think it's time for everyone to join me at the bar for a toast!....chAIRS!!  For all those who are a bit under the weather, I hope you are feeling a whole lot better soon!!!   Got loads to do in this next and last week before Christmas and the family decend on me........after being away for close on four weeks and leaving my DH in charge of the house, I believe I need to give it a really good clean before I start the baking.  He did try his best and even cleaned the bathroom and swept the floors but his clean and mine are miles apart...lol, but I love him for trying.  The first thing on the cooking side is the preparation of the plum pudding icecream.  I've made this for the last ten years as the weather is usually a little on the warm side for traditional plum pudding so I came up with the idea of the plum pudding icecream.  It is soooo yummy I seem to have to make more each year.  Well now, I need to put the old feet up and relax  a little before the rush begins so I'm off to the lounge.  Anyone want to join me?

YAY NM...amazing weight loss!!!! NOT a trivial thing at all....quite an accomplishment...and such fun to reap the benefits! Smaller clothes and a healthier weight....amazing! With all the stress you have had with work, it usually makes someone gain weight, but you beat the odds. Very happy for you! I have GAINED weight since my recon...aarrgghhhh. Raising my glass to your new figure and amazing new clothes & boots!!!

Chrissy, Another YAY! Glad you are back at home now. I feel swamped too, having returned so close to Christmas. Still getting parents settled....hope to pick up our extra car from the repair shop this morn to leave for them to use, and still need to get their internet set up, etc. Cable guy was there for 2-3 hrs but they had them put the main connection on a different wall than I had planned for, and may need him back out so they can have a good furniture arrangement there. Next to order the custom fabric blinds. MIGHT have some time to get ready for Christmas, but I am wondering if that will happen. Still have lots of family to buy for....gift cards might be my saving grace! Your plum pudding ice cream sounds sooooo yummy, I was "gobsmacked" just hearing about it....LOL. If you wouldn't mind sharing the recipe, (and have the time!), could you send it to me in a PM? If not, I totally understand! Anyhow, WELCOME BACK HOME!!!!

"Honky"D, are you feeling any better? Sure don't want you to have a percotini hangover. But then again, if you mainly indulged here, then no bad effects from that drug! Hard to take it easy at this time of year, but we want you fully recovered, and able to enjoy the holidays. When do you have to return to work?

Beans, oh beans, where are thou??? Gail, hope your purses are not leaving the house with your DD! Stanzie, are you well now, from that high fever? Junie, enjoyed our gossip session by the pool! How bout heading into the casino for awhile and trying out our luck! I hear that the machines are paying out double, so we would have enough christmas spending money....CaChing! Dorothy, hope you are doing okay. Lori, still having a good time on your road trip? When do you return? Hope the weather is GR8 for you! Looks like (after chance of flurries today) our weather will be in the 50's most of next week.....YAY!

Timin' out, lookin for a Diamond in my Limon drink....

I second the weight loss NM.  Not worried about Beans yet as just getting going myself.  Nasty and rainy here in the lowlands.  Need to jump into my skiing clothes as snowing in the mountains.

Chrissy....yes, Plum Pudding ice cream sounds divine.  I still need to make puddings as want something warm here.  Will do that shopping tomorrow as can work and steam at the same time.

Hope you are feeling tons better HD.

I am off skiing today then to a party tonight.  Should be fun.  Hopefully more skiing tomorrow.  I have to check if one of my friends wants to go.  Charging up my camera as will take pix unless depressing out there. (I usually don't photograph stuff like slop/sleet coming down.)  My metabolism is trying to hibernate, so this will kick start it.

I figured out the "other present" for my sister.  Warm tights.  So easy to get and useful.  Nordstrom Rack has great deals on them.  And a nice candle for my former business partner who is getting the final touches on her new bathroom.  Hoping the crew figure out how to install the marble.  However, the essentials are finished.

The wine shop couldn't ship to Massachusetts, so need to find another present.  Perhaps a gift from their local wine shop!!!  Now that would be easy, and they could select their own wine.

I finally bought the book "Good Drinks for Bad Days" for myself.  The funniest ever. - Claire

Yeah Beans, puleez check in with your breast friends here, we miss you!!!! Well, the car we always loan to my parents is dying.....the shop replaced the therrmostat, did oil change, etc., THEN found out it has a blown head gasket! So paid for the other repairs, but not wanting to put another $1800 into it. IF it lasts the 2 months they are here, then will see what the junk yard will give us for it. Nice leather seats, and interior (is a wagon), BUT its the engine that is almost kaput.

Thanks Chrissy for your recipe, it sounds onolicious! I just might show up at your door on Christmas morning as I think there will be lots of good food there! Still don't know what all we will do for Christmas, or whose house, since ours is still torn up. I did put some 3-4' tall lighted topiary type trees around and other decorations to feel festive, but no big tree this year... *sigh*.

Hope everyone is having a Super Saturday!!!!!

So did Beanie ride off on her pink elephant to get away for a while? Hope it makes her feel better and speaking of feeling better - I'm done with most of my meds so I'll feel better....when?

Hate, hate, HATE packing for a trip!!! Once that is done I'll be so much happier.... Still so much to do.

HD - how are you doing?

I'm not really sure what plum pudding is even though I've seen pictures of it so how did you make it into ice cream? very interesting......

Claire - Wow, skiing how very fun! I haven't been skiing in so many years - I think it might have been shortly after I got married. We went skiing - just the little slopes in N.C. and having not done it but once before I thought I was doing pretty great keeping up as my ex used to really ski. Well, finally he says something to the effect of well you can get down too bad you can't look better doing it. Oh well..... I still had a fabulous time.  I used to figure skate as a child so I think some transfers over.

Well, I guess I have to go back to packing........

I am back from my ski.  Saw Beans on another thread, so know she is OK.

Took it easy as needed to get my bearings, and I always struggle a bit with the altitude the first time out.  But all was fine, and I did 7 or so miles.  I didn't come back with lymphedema which was my big worry, believe it or not.  (Repetitive motion, altitude.)  Got back just before dark and got past a couple of jerkweeds who were going to stall traffic coming down out of the pass.

I am laughing thinking back.  How unsteady the first few feet were and how I couldn't wait to do the downhill portions by the time I had completed the 7k loop (after finishing the flat 4k warm-up one).  Ready now for a REAL x-country ski.  Just the most fun.

Having tea, but need a bath and nap prior to a major party I need to get dressed for tonight.  Don't hurt all that much........yet!!!   Cheers. - Claire

Good Morning Gurlzzzzzzzzzzzz! Am I the only one up and around? Nice yummy buffet here, but if no one shows up I may eat way too much! Oh, and the mimosa and percotini fountains are flowing, plus a whole table full of bloody marys and irish coffees! And of course, the TT's and Wenches will make you whatever you want. Have a full plate in one hand and mimosa in the other, and right now getting comfy in a lounge chair right by the pool. Nice, sunny day here, and a gentle breeze.....*sigh*....hope someone will join me soon!
