Can I join the PAR-TAY????  My "two hour" favor is just ending now at 3 pm.  Needless to say, got nothing else done today.  Not even my weights/crunches.  At least I can ski tomorrow, and I have Christmas dinner sorted out with my friend who is hosting.

    YIKES!!!!!

I am getting repaid for my major favor too....asked for something from REI.  Even if energy gel.

Beans.....you are are on the home stretch, and better to be dragging and able to drink as opposed to just dragging.

NM....sounds great with the rewards system.  I have tested shoveling, and while equally beneficial as x-country skiing, not nearly as fun.

I need to run off and buy some books for friend's 7 year old son, and call the "Real British Bacon" folks.  Will swing by there in the AM.

Make that a triple, will you......yikes................ - Claire

Dee, Sorry I missed you! So glad you popped in, and what a cute Sock Monkey Santa and Elf!  Please stay awhile next time.....we miss you here! Hope you'll have a very nice Christmas, and that you will come and visit at the HTL more often.

Hope I didn't offend anyone with that SNL link I posted...I think its funny. They are still predicting snow here on Christmas. AND telling people if they don't want to drive in it, to get where they want to be on Christmas Eve, and stay put! Because we don't have very much in the way of snow removal equipment, and they don't always know how to drive carefully in snow here, so it IS safer to stay in! Tomorrow, Christmas Eve, the high will be 50 or so....go figure. My dad helped my DH rake and bag leaves here today....I hope I can do even half as much as he does, if I make it to 94.

NM, Good for you, to have a reward....that can be good incentive to do the exercizes.....and a healthy reward too! When I get back on a regular treadmill schedule, what I do is put on a movie and then ONLY get to watch it when I am on the treadmill...if is is a good one I can't wait to get back on it. Or sometimes I watch The Doctors show as I really like that one. It is just getting back to it that is hard. Still don't have the heat repaired for the new upstairs unit yet, and it was our a/c guy that died, so need to find someone else to repair that lemon unit. So it gets COLD up there!!!

AStorm, Vodka for breakfast, huh? That WAS a rough day yesterday! I will make sure not to ever take a parking space from you....LOL. Hope you have gotten some rest today, and that much needed jacuzzi, and are feeling better! I am so glad to be home and out of the horrid traffic in Hawaii....talk about people trying to steal your parking spot...it is crazy there. Even at CostCo....whereas ours has tons of spaces, they are a premium there!

    Happy Christmas Eve Eve, everyone!!!!

    ChEARS to all!

yeah, what is with the traffic in Hawaii? I was on Kauai in the 80's and everyone was so mellow but the last time I was on Kauai (2005?) it was crazy! Honolulu has been a city for a long, but Lihue is supposed to be mellow. Of course I sill love Hawaii and can't wait to go again.

Gail, Kauai is STILL much more mellow than Oahu! I love Oahu since I was born and raised there, but for a laid-back vacay, I would go to Kauai. Its prob been more than 5 yrs since I was on Kauai, so I hope the traffic is not always as bad as you experienced! Still, I would enjoy it there, as well as the "Big Island".....love the differences betwn Kona and Hilo, with one hot and dry and the other rainy and green. Hope to convince DH we need to go shopping tonight...health store I want to go to is by the mall though and I think the traffic is horrid by the mall tonight! They had a couple of multi-car accidents at rush hour, by the mall today. EeccckkkkkK!

Yay Beans.....almost through with the sunburns!!! Saw a reindeer tonight. Driving past the mall, and saw Santa and his sleigh on a patch of grass at the gas station....strange, so when I looked at him some more, I saw a reindeer with him...soooo kewl! Too late to get the g'kids though, but it was a neat sight. But it wasn't Rudolph, cause his nose was NOT red!!! Maybe if Beans shares some of her vino with him, then his nose would be red.....

Dashing through the gas station, in a 1-deer open sleigh....o'er the streets he goes, laughing all the way.......

    Christmas

Getting down to the nitty gritty!!!   Is everyone ready??!!!

Our leak is fixed--kind of--plumber stopped the leak but the problem is with a special hose/fitting that goes to a water purifier system that is installed under the sink--that is what blew out.  And, it is such an odd thing that is why the hardware stores here could not give DH the right sized hose/fittings that he needed.   He has tracked down the company somewhere back East to order a replacement from BUT they are closed til after the holidays!!!   Go figure--just our luck.   But, the plumber wouldn't let us pay him until we finally get the right part and he can complete his job--what a guy!!!

Big discussion today as to holiday dinner--I voted for big juicy steak....DH wants turkey, dressing--the whole 9 yards......so,  I mentioned that I bet the casino buffet will have a great feast on Christmas Day--think that is where we're headed!!!   Yayyyyy!!!!!!    Fingers crossed that I feel up to it and the weather stays mild enough to make the drive!!!

Junie, What a beautiful tree! And what horrid water probs.....glad the plumber was able to get the important stuff fixed, and hope the part won't take toooooo long. Bet your plumber didn't look like the pic that AStorm posted! Fingers crossed that you WON'T have snow so you can go to the casino, and fingers crossed that I DO have snow! Hope the buffet will have everything that both of you want...purrfect solution.

Just popping in to say Merry Christmas to everyone. I see I have 5 pages of catching up! Had a good time, considering it rained every single day, and when I got home, I got sick! My son-in-law and grandson were toting tissues around, so I am guessing I got it from them. I haven't been sick in 10 years! Can't say that anymore!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

Merry Christmas girlzzzz,  Christmas Eve here, kids arrived this arvo and 98% of the prep was done!  Whew!!!  Eldest DD vaccuumed the lounge for me and DD2 helped me finish putting the food away that I had just finished preparing.  Dinner was easy as DD2 bought acouple of cooked chooks with her and DD1 bought the crunchy crust fresh bread I made a green salad and everyone tucked in.  Yumm.......it was good!  The only thing to cook tomorrow is the ham...................yay!!!!  I can't believe I actually made it.......house clean and food all prepared........and one very tired old girl sitting here telling all and sundry......lol.  DD's are now in bed sleeping..Oh to be younger....and the two grandsons are sitting with me one reading a magazine, one prone on the couch watching tele and me on the computer.  All normal activities.  Time for me to sneak out to the pool and have a quiet dip and get Pants to preparing me something nice and relaxing.  Have a wonderful, wonderful day tomorrow!!

Chrissy B.....so nice to see you here at the lounge on this Christmas eve ((running to give you a big hug))....let's sit down and have a beer. Cheers my dear friend.  Your depiction of your evening sounds so fun and full of love.  Enjoy your grandson's and your loving and helpful DD's. Cheers to you, my dear friend.

Junie, I am glad that you found a plumber that seems honest. I bet in your mind, you pictured our lounge plumber at your house and felt like pinching his cute arse. I like the idea of a Christmas buffet.  Everyone eats what they want and no clean up, horray for no clean up! I love your sparkly tree, it makes me wanna get the party started. I put pretty lights on a plant I have in my living room and it looks so purdy. It really put me in the mood. I am going to turn on some Christmas music and chill in the hammock and chat with Chrissy.  Anyone wanna join us for a bit?

Goldie, nice Santa butt, I could just pinch it! I guess I should be good if I want him to bring me my new implants on Tuesday.  Ho ho ho for my expected twins, woooooo hoooooo! ☺

Last night was fun, Santa was doing the hokey -pokey in the pool.  He tried getting fresh with me and I let him, great cyber fun was had by all! He is such the flirt.

Beans, I am glad that you will be done with your rads next week.  You go girl.  I can't say enough how inspiring you are having gone through all of this and keeping such a fantastic sense of humor through it all despite the torture.  God love ya, girl.

Hi Dee, nice to meet you! I found the lounge a few months ago and just love hanging out with you girls. Don't be a stranger, I'd like to get to know you.  Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Mainer, it is my job to counsel my clients even when they do not qualify. My suggestion for this guy was to find a home that is not in a flood zone, his insurance premium of 8k per year put him over the edge with debt to income ratios. I put my heart and soul into the job for good people, whether real estate agents or clients.  Now if they are mean, I put them on the back burner and take care of them last thing before I leave.  I have a mean streak in me when it comes to mean people. Hah, take that. I get screamed at so much for things that are no fault of mine.  Oh well, only one more day of work then off to the O.R. to receive my girls.  Oh yeah!

Wahine, I hope you are enjoying being back home for the Holidays and hope you and your fur babies have a great Christmas. Make sure you grab their bag of treats from under the tree for them. i got their favorite, Beggin Strips. Not sure if you new they love them but that is what I gave them when i brought them to the lounge. I miss them!

To all, come to the beer tree and look and see what I bought you. I got you all a one year supply of your favorite drinks to take home for when you are too busy to get to the lounge. Speaking of, Santa and Dasher just showed up, thanks for bringing them. His ho ho ho'ing is a bit slurred, hmmm, guess the tenders have been serving Santa all night.

Goldie and A-storm, nice to see you girls.  Come, get on the hammocks next to me and swing while the Christmas music blares.  I hear Santa Clause singing, and omgawd, he is so drunk. I am having trouble hearing, it is rowdy in here for early Friday morning, let's party!

Claire, you look so pretty in pink.  I am still amazed at your energy level...you just don't stop.  Santa wants to ski with you but I bet he can't keep up!

To all, have a blessed Christmas eve day. I hope to see you all. I am going to step inside the Lounge Chapel and say some prayers for each of you. I am so blessed to have found you all and I talk about you all to DH all the time. He wants to come with me to the lounge but I told him, no DH's allowed, only hot young me and of course, Santa. I think he is resting for tonight....

Let there be Peace on Earth and Let it begin with each of you ♥♥. Titty's up, my dear friends.

Wow, lots to catch up with this morning!

AStorm-now THAT"s the way to drink breakfast! Thanks for the recipe. I wonder what it would be like to use the oats in bread after straining them out. . .

Dee-love the gingerbread house and sock Santa!  Yummy house, with a surprise inside:

Claire-glad to know snow shoveling is as beneficial as x-country skiing, seeing as how I have to do it anyway! There's a place nearby that has a lot of x-country skiing in the winter, I think it's a golf course in the summer, that I'm going to check out and see if they rent gear and give lessons. Got to make myself get out and find something fun to do outside in the winter.

Wahine-talk about not knowing what to wear! Your temp fluctuations are worse than Maine's! Although it looks now like it's settled in here. Got a nice 6 inch blanket of sparkly snow on the ground, The wind's shaken most of it off the trees, though. And SNL skit is hilarious! I've always wondered if Santa and the sleigh ever had to stop at a gas station. Maybe to use the little boy's room?

Beanie! Good to see you, glad you're almost done with the tanning and enjoying a good bottle of vine fruit!

Junie-the tree is beautiful! Why is it that everything has to have a special size fitting all the time? Why do hardware stores stock ANYTHING, since their stock never seems to fit the job at hand? One of the mysteries of life, I suppose. I like the idea of a buffet for Christmas dinner-everyone get what he/she likes, and someone else cleans up!

Goldie-one of the prices of time with the family is time with their germs, I'm afraid. One of the best things you can do for yourself and everyone else is to take a disinfectant like Lysol or diluted bleach solution and wipe off all the doorknobs, light switches, phones and computer keyboards in the house. Germs love to hang out there and we rarely think to clean those things.

Chrissy-sounds like a good time is about to be had by all! Good for you! Pants, be a dear and give her one of your special foot massages, please.

Dorothy-I'm glad you can help people that way, and the screamers deserve to be put at the back of the line. Consequences of their own actions. And thank you so much for the present! I've got a big rig coming to haul my share home for me! Oh, my Santa may have had just one too many!

For all of my BC Sistahs with live Christmas Trees:

    Christmas Tree Water

    1 part Gin
    3 parts Sprite

Don't forget to water those trees!

Dorothy, How nice to pray for everyone here....you are a sweetie! Hope your Santa pic stays put....what a "R" rated riot!!! Yes, lots of Begging Strips for my furbabies....how did you know they love them? Actually have so many bags of them, I have to organize by exp date...had good cpns for them! Joining you and Chrissy in the lounge! Oh, and thanks for the gifts you got for us all....appropriate...very thoughfful! We'll be with you on Tues when you get your new "girls"! Titz Up!

Chrissy, unlike you, I am NOT ready yet! Still more presents to wrap, and gift cards to order (online!). If anyone out there is wondering, "chooks" are chickens, and "tucked in" is like chowing down. Hope you keep including your Aussie vocab, as I love seeing those words again! I keep saying "no worries" to our aussie guy at the organic store, but he is sick of that term as his bro and dad say it all the time! But I get a kick out of it! You are such a dear, and have created such an amazing Christmas for your family....enjoy them, one and all!

NM, Sooooo neat that you had a pic for each of us...toooo many to comment on, but enjoyed laffing at them all!!! Would love to see that nice blanket of snow you have!!! Seems like our forecast goes back and forth....accumulation....hardly any....accumulation....hardly any..etc. I am hoping for the accumulation, since our plans tomorrow are very casual and can be changed. Have a blessed Christmas!!!

Goldie, WELCOME BACK SISTAH!!!! We missed you....sorry to hear you picked up germs though! I try to remember to take the sanitizing wipes with us when we travel, esp on planes to wipe the remote and tray, armrests, etc. And in hotel rooms, and houses, like NM said. Sorry it rained soooo much on your trip, too. Hope you feel better verrrrry soon! ((HUGS)))

Bonnie, Sorry to hear you are sick too....sendig very soft tissues, and maybe cranberries for the UTI? Feel bettah quickly, okay??? (((HUGS)))

To all my breast friends here, you are a fantastic group of gals, and I enjoy the camaraderie we share. Love all the funny pictures and funny posts, and all the caring and sharing we do. And of course, our wonderful HTL and TT's and Wenches.....our drinking parites, chats by the pool, etc. ITs a blast being here with you! Have a wonderful Christmas Eve, a very special Christmas Day, and blessings in the New Year!!!!

    Hi Ladies.....

Lenghty replies will have to wait until AFTER skiing today.  Just have to go as the only thing that got exercised yesterday was my brain.  Plus gloomy here.

Anyway, enjoying the dogs cartoon.  Can just see that one.

I got out last night and walked to the wine bar where they had wonderful domestic champagne for the Wine Hop.  So I indulged and had two glasses.  Plus great live music.  All for $10.

Need to get rolling as two stops on the way to skiing.  Need to double-check that they are open today to, but think today counts as the holiday season.

Merry, Merry Christmas to everyone. - Claire

Hi Beans....awwwww you are so sweet to say that! I think you are special too! Right now my hands are itchy.....been putting insulation inside the  garage door....only got 1/4 done, but thats a start(while DH was napping!). RIght  now I am  having some coconut shrimp and Chardonnay, been so busy today and in about 5 min I need to start getting ready for Christmas Eve service. DH is out trying to find something for me for Christmas.....guess he got concerned when he saw all the presents I had under our faux "christmas tree topiaries"   for him...lol. What a strange Christmas....first time I have not had a tree up......weird. Oh, your cat and my dog match right now with their Christmas hats!

I have been so busy and DH gets bored on the holidays and weekends so I'm always trying to find weekend projects for him. Today he is going through my car to check everything out - I'm so glad he likes to do that - I don't work on cars, I just drive them...we just have a little fake tree that our neighbors gave us a few years ago. But its fun, came decorated and with lights and all, this is our 3rd year using it!! Your dog hat gave me the idea to find a cat hat!!! So cute to be in the spirit.

Merry Christmas Eve.  Beans...hope you got a day off.  Kathy, I had a good buttery Merlot last night.  The bottle was gone before I knew it.  I have started a spreadsheet with wines we are trying as some people do their books they have read.  I just can't remember very well anymore.  Both DH and I thought it would be a good idea as we are trying a lot of different ones now.  Tomorrow is our cooking day.  Tonight will just be the two of us as my son is on call for work.  No parties, no last minute shopping, so it should be very relaxing.  Lori, glad you are home but sorry you are sick.  I am not going to make a long post out of this as it is about time for happyhour to begin.  Dorothy, thanks for the present dahling....how sweet of you.  Bet you are getting excited for the exchange.  I will be at the pool for a little while....DH has me jailed upstairs while he is wrapping.  That could take a while.  Who is in for about 18 to 20 laps in the pool?  LOL!  chairs!  HonkyDory

HD, Can I WATCH while you do 18-20 laps???? Toooo tired for that! All ready for church, but DH is apparently not singing that song "Get me to the Church on time", as he is STILL out shopping! Told him to get his butt home so we can go to church. Not to worry about stuff for me....I mean if he waited till the last minute....well..... Gee, I wonder how in the world that Merlot just disappeared! LOL. One wine I know you won't want to add to your book is my beloved Moscato, as I don't think you have a sweet tooth like I do.

Did everyone clean out their chimneys so the big fat man will fit down it tonight???? Gotta go.....hoping my chariot is arriving soon! ChEARS!!! Chairs! Titz Up! Bottoms Up!

I need to join all of you at poolside, but after I get the puddings mixed and a-steaming.

Skiing was amazing, so feel energized.  Couldn't believe how easy the 11 miles were for me today.  Other than the portion where I had snow sticking to the bottoms of my skis.  Wax and going back to the other side of the mountain cured that one.  I guess this counts as a version of ankle weights.

Anyway....  off a-cooking.  That dog wine looks good.  But later, as need to have my wits about me.  Happy Christmas Eve!!!! - Claire

Popping in to say hello and rest my body by the pool with Honky. And OMGawd, I had not realized that my santa was x-rated, I swear. I hope the bc police do not kick me out of the lounge for that infringement.

It is 10pm and I still have so much do do yet body does not feel up to the challenge. I still have to get my house decor from the attic along with my gift wrap, gift bags, tags and bows. DH does not know where I keep everything it our attic, I know exactly where the things are. I have been procrastinting so much.  I did food shopping, stopped at the liquor store and picked up some last minute gifts.  I will have my parents and my in-laws here by 10am -4pm when I leave for my sister's house for dinner. Can you see if any of the taddie tenders are available to help? My dern tits are still hurting from my last expansion and more after carrying alot of weight today. I bought sodas and liquor and that bag was heavy. Gosh, I think I need a personal tender, can ya'll spare one??  Oh my, I better stop complaining, shut UP dorothy, will you, I said to my dernself.  Sorry Honky K, did not mean to be a downer, I shall dwink this one down and feel happy happy.  I am glad to have you here with me with Beanie Babe and Wahawaii-ini too!

I love everyone's Christmas wishing and loving words, God Bless you all, I love you all too!! I will try to pop in again.

Oh Dorothy, But OF COURSE you can have a Tattie Tender to help you tonight!!! That is waaaay too much for you to do tonight. I think even the Wenches would show up to help you get ready for tomorrow. Wishing you much, much, much luck in getting it all done.....or at least as much as you think you have to do. I am sure they would understand if everything was not perfect. I am procrastinating over wrapping the last present....lol. BUT I am not having company, so don't have to worry about the house too much. Unless I invite my parents over  early for Irish Coffees....then we leave at 10:30 am for my DD's. Hmmm.....maybe I should get the house clean too! LOL.

OMG.....is that Santa I see zipping across the sky? HE is sorta going back and forth, zigzagging...wonder if it was Santa or the Reindeer that got into the Christmas Spirits???? I think we should get everything done super fast and get into bed and pretend to sleep so Santa will leave us some goodies! Oh, and filling our stockings too! Actually mine are all still packed up, but I bought a large one that has a big embroidered X  initial instead of a name. Thought it might be fun to put some X-rated stuff in it for hubby....lol....just kidding, wish I had thought of that earlier! A very good night to all, and a wonderful Christmas day............

    Funny Christmas

This could have been my son when growing up--lord, he was a holy terror and handful!   I just talked to him to let him know that Santa had left France and was heading across the Atlantic!!!!  He is up to his elbows in flour and baking cookies for Santa with his 4 kids--apparently a package of Chips AHoy won't do, and each kid has a different idea what Santa prefers!!!    Dang!   Wish I lived close enough to help (LOL!!!)   There are some torches that are good to pass on--this was one of them!!!

Wishing a very Merry Christmas and Happiest Holiday to each of you wonderful friends.   Heading out to the pool for some egg nog and buffet goodies.......bottomsup!!!   Merry Christmas-----BARMEN!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!!!!   Yup, the great day has arrived!  in fact it's half over here.   Amazing!  You work like a dog for weeks before getting things organised and shopping for gifts that are just right for everyone.  The day arrives and seems to go by so fast you sort of think was all that effort worth it?  The answer is YES, YES, YES!!!

Up reasonably early, got breakfast and got the ham prepared and in the oven.  Presents and fresh coffee to follow.  Oh what fun and a few good laughs thrown in for good measure as we remembered the funny things we have said through the years.  Including the latest from me....doh!  Don't know if it was the lack of estrogen, brain death from general anaesthetic or age, but I managed to add the last idiotic thing to the list of funnies.  DD2 asked how to spell Thumbalina and of course I say, thinking T H the mouth says ESTH.  Not the letters t h but the sound.....not cool.  The girls just fell about laughing and me joining in with tears of laughter rolling down the face.  It definitely was a case of mouth not in the same gear as the mind....lol   I think I created another good memory for my family.  Christmas dinner was ready by 1.30pm and of course we all ate way too much and ended up having desert halfway through the afternoon.  Not sure if I really need to eat anything at tea time but I'm sure the growing ones (GS's) will need more sustenance as they both seem to have hollow legs and it seems impossible to full them up.

I hope your day is as enjoyable as mine has been and you create some wonderful memories for your families.  Once again, Merry Christmas, and love n hugs to you all!!!   Chrissy
