    Hi Ladies....

Just now joining the PAR-TAY.  MIA, as of course, had to go skiing again before WORK and DENTIST tomorrow.  Wonderful on top, buy icy on the bottom.  Hard to describe the top.  Was in my groove, and looking at the most miraculous snow and light and mountain peaks.  Just loved it.

I was wondering how that well-muscled fireman who went past yesterday (in firetruck) when on my bicycle looks w/o his gear.  So this site has me a-wondering.

Met up with my skiing/cycling buddy at Starbuck's on the way to the slopes, but he had some nasty cold thingie.  So we exchanged gifts and I went skiing.

I could take TWO of those firemen to work on my sore body.  I am getting the "total body workout" part with x-country skiing.  Will be just fine sitting tomorrow.

Think an early night for me. Will be thinking of the wonderful Christmas Dinner last night plus all the other things to celebrate.

HD.....sorry that you are still suffering.  Beans.....looks like the end of active treatment.  YIPPIE!!! - Claire

    Good morning friends,

I am patiently awaiting an update on my work status for today.  A state of emergency has been declared but so far my employer has only a two hour delayed opening.  I would stay put today but since it is my last day before my surgery tomorrow and end of month, I really have to get to work.  I am glad to have three hours and hoping they close. I should have an update soon.

Beans, I loved your cursing rant.  I am going on one myself....S, F, S,S, S, Caca, F.  Ah, that feels better.

Claire, nothing stops you, I am beginning to think you are part machine.  Keep on moving girl, I envy you, I can't say it enough!!

Kathy, how are you making out with the snow?  And NM, how about you?  We have snow drifts over a foot.  I know the follks from WA are probably amumzed at how us east coast folks panic when we get a foot of snow!

HD, I will come with you to the doctor and kick his arse should he not take good care of you and get you fixed and feeling better.  What did you have done? I have to ask as I thougth I would figure it out but I just don't know. I am sending you healing thoughts again, hugs and more prayers.  I will step into the lounge chapel for a round of prayers.  Anyone else have any prayer requests?   And is it wrong to have tequila on my breath at the chapel?? I hope not!!

Who has the keys to the bus?  We will visit HD's doctor then come this way to take me to surgery tomorrow.  Make sure the bus has snow chains!

I don't know why I still can't post pics again.  I know how to do it and tried rebooting, switching to explorer with no luck. I swear the BC police have disabled my ability to post pics due to my inappropriate photo of Santa Balls, i mean Clause.

Uhhh, I sure wish I could stay home today but I will have homeless clients should I not to in to work. I should just say, the hell with them, I have a warm home and a roof over my head but I can't be like that. I care about my clients.

NM, I love how you prepare for the winter in October, it tells me that you are very much on top of things unlike this loungette! You ladies are an inspriration to me!!

Karen, welcome to the lounge. Pull up a bar stool and sit next to me, I have a cyber drink ready for you....a whole bottle of wine! I am having tequilla today and chasing it down with beer. There is eggs benedict for breakfast, to all, come on in, the lounge is cozy and warm. I see some firemen without their gear, hot hot hot!

To all, have a painfree and pleasant day. Peace and lots of love coming at each of you.  <<<<HUGS>>>>. Cheers and tits up☺

Dang it's hard to keep up here, anymore! 2 years ago when I came here, it would take us days to fill a page. Now, several pages can be filled in a day!

Kathy, I'm glad you clarified "no junk" showing.....I was gonna go back and look! My pics that were deleted, were done by photobucket, not BCO. HD had one deleted by them also, and all she did was put bunny ears on Pants n Jocks, or something like that.

Jaybird, looking at the news this morning, looks like you will be staying home! Glad to hear about Avery and her Christmas, hoping you get a few pics posted on FB.

NM, you are certainly VERY VERY SMART for getting all that ready ahead of time. But I guess when you live alone, you learn what is necessary. And that DOTD sounds very yummy! I love ice cream!

Beans...............gidderdone! Kitty too, I think you are done or just about there.

Dorothy, after we check up with HD and her surgeon, we will head with you to be there during your surgery. The percotini fountain should be well stocked, as I think several of our loungettes have been dipping into that. HD, I believe, had a seroma from prev surgery, as we were singing "My Seroma".

HD, good luck today on that. You could threaten your surgeon with US!

I am still hanging on to this )&^%$IO)&IIO cold, it is def. overstaying it's welcome! Back to work today for me. Weather is not an excuse for me. The only thing that can keep me from working is if our satelite connection is down. Oh wait, thats wrong. I forgot, we have 2! So both would have to be down, for us not to work. And if it did snow, its only about 75' to my office!

Karen-you do know that the drinks served in the lounge are guaranteed to not cause hangovers? That's just one of the many benefits of the HTL! I hope this isn't you today!

Dorothy-too bad your employer can't make a decision! I had trouble with posting pics on Firefox for a while, switched back to Internet Explorer for the boards here and could post pics there, and then all of a sudden could post pics using Firefox again. So if you're on Firefox, it's probably them and not you. Try another internet server and see what happens. As far as prepping for winter in October, that comes from experience. There have been many years when winter arrived with a blizzard in October. It was always a pain to get hit with a big storm and listen to all the whining and moaning about what should have been done when the watches and warnings came out. I just decided it's easier to just take care of those things in early October and be done with it. Now it's part of the fall routine.

Just finished the first shovel out. As expected, snow piled up against the kitchen and sun porch doors. With the wind there's almost no snow on the back deck, though, so it evens out. It's actually surprisingly warm out there; I was comfortable with just a sweatshirt. Not that I'd spend any amount of time beyond shoveling out there dressed so lightly! I may be crazy but I'm not foolish!

(notice "University of Maine" in small print?  My alma mata!)

    DOTD: Snowplow

    1 oz Coconut Rum
    1 oz Irish Cream
    1/2 oz Creme de Cacao
    1 dash Cinnamon
    8 oz (Hot) Chocolate
    1 1/2 oz Whipping Cream

Gals, I have an appt with surgeon for 2.  Lori is right....last surgery was to tighten the mesh they used to repair an incisional hernia.  You can develope seromas at any time.  There is no guarantee.  Mostly your body adsorbs them.  I don't know what's going on inside this time but it hurts like hell.. I have a great surgeon.  He will take care of me.  I have no concerns there.  Hope you all are having a good time on your snow days.  I can't imagine having to shovel right now.  OK,  time for my coffee!  chairs  HD

Dorothy, Did you have to go in to work? Seems like everything would close, with the weather you are having. That is a lot of snow....we got about 4" and were ecstatic...lol. How much do you expect? Be careful if you have to get out in it! And, glad the bus has chains, so we can all get to your surgery tomorrow....we can pick you up too if you can't get out of the driveway. Be sure to post here, when you can, to let the others (that aren't on the bus) know how you are doing!

Lori, I agree....I came here 2 1/2 yrs ago and sometimes there would be DAYS between posts! Then when you came onboard, and Dee and HunkyD, and we all created the HTL...it became tons of fun!!! And NM and AStorm came onboard shortly after that? Only gals b4 me that still post are junie, jaybird, and sometimes casinogirl. I think junie has been on this thread the longest....way to go junie!!! Gotta keep the HTL going! Dang it, you need to shove that cold to the road..hope it leaves soon!!! NOT fun.

NM, I too am so amazed at all your winter prep....so very smart to do all of that! Oh I love your "Snow Plow" drink....all of it sounds yummy!

Beans, funny zombie sign! How are you feeling? Glad you still have your huemore!

HD, So glad you have confidence in your surgeon, makes it less stressful! Well, it will be 3 pm where I am, so will definately have time to get on the bus and get my butt over there. Hope we end up with a full bus, as then we will head to Dorothy's tomorrow. I think Hunk can join us on the bus and "take care of us"...lol. I mean with drinks, what did you think I meant??? LOL. Load up the likker Pants, and also lots of yummy food. Let's bring our jammies and have a pj party while we are traveling. Can we all fit in your pocket if we get teeny tiny enuf? Best to you today!!!!

Finally looks like all roads are clear, and sidewalks. Lots of snow everywhere else and it looks so pretty. Wonder what all this snow has done to the merchants, with the after christmas sales? Esp for those of you in the path of the blizzard. Maybe I should go shopping and make up for that! After our bus trips, you could all move in to the HTL till the storm is all over with and the roads are clear. Stay safe, be careful, be sure your likker cabinet is stocked!

    Snow Plow drinks all around!

    ChEARS,

    Kathy

OK HonkyD - We won't beat up your surgeon, still I'm so hoping you get out of pain soon. Meet you at the p-fountain???? My armpit is bright red and would hurt, but it's still numb from surgery. Also my nip is bright red and itchy! I look really funny in the nude. ha ha ha! Don't worry I won't post it!!! Wishing you the very best and please let us know how you are doing...big hugs to you!

wahine - DH bought an atlas last night and we were looking all over for where to find some sun when my sun tan is dun. I'm feeling darn good. Dr says I will get really tired, so far I do, but not too bad. Only 4 more tx days yippeeeee! When I feel like it DH says he'll take me to CA to visit my fam. They are mostly spread out in northern CA. And I have such big news! My bro's wife had a baby girl in the night!!!! She is born on my dear Mom's birthday. This is just amazing! I won't go into all the reasons, except that my bro's wife is someone very very special, I adore her, and she is so good to my bro after he had a bad marriage before. Now their baby is born on my mom's BD - my mom was an angel (who knows what happened to me Tongue out) and so is my bro's wife. There are some people who are kindof magical and that is the situation. So much joy!!! So I can't wait to see my new niece whenever I can get dun with my stupid tanning salon!!!

    More later gaters, Cheeers!

Beans.....congrats on being almost there and also for your neice.  I didn't feel any fatigue until the weekend prior to the boosts, and then a drop in energy.  Also, I felt a second energy drop about 7 days after the last boost.

You will realize that I did a a 45-mile training ride for the Seattle-to-Portland 4 days after my last boost and then LIVESTRONG the following weekend.  This was one of the nastiest days on record for that event and all of us were chilled to the bone.  That said, I did feel less energy for about three weeks following radiation, then suddenly it came back.  I recommend lavender-chocolate macaroons to hasten things along.

BTW - I feel my breast a lot more now than I did 7 months ago.  Nice that everything is numb while you are getting hammered.

HD....sure they will get to the end of things.  Good luck.

I am looking at pictures of the East Coast.  Believe it or not, Seattle gets paralyzed with snow, and this is made much worse by the very steep hills.  In fact, what I got to prepare for chemo was NEW TIRES.  We had a mild winter so I didn't need them as much as I thought I would.

Forecast is for a major snow dump in the mountains this week, but rain in the lowlands.  That is great, as was getting a bit skied off towards the end of yesterday.  I needed to watch out for out-of-control skiers towards the end.  Not a problem on the upper areas as most novices stay away, but is a problem on the bottom where people climb up and then have problems skiing down.  Anyway, saw the guy coming out of the corner of my eye, and bailed for the side of the trail.

Have the dentist in an hour and really glad to sleep in this AM.  Body is tired (what a surprise).

Will join all of you at the fountain later.  Have a great one. - Claire

Yesterday I went to the beach for a lonnnng walk with my short dogs. Guess who was there?!

Happy Smiles sorry the photo is so small... I was afraid to get too close... not sure I could control my corgi. Hope I didn't violate the "no junk" rule.

Ok, New Year's resolution time -- I'm committing to a hike or long walk every weekend and daily shorter walks (at least 3 days per week). I've been thinking about how to get more life out of my day and I've decided to get out more... and drink more.

Starting to get the bus ready for the big NYE par-tay! I think we might need to snow chains to get to NM's house, and Dorothy's. I've forgotten about the early morning shoveling... and we whine if we have to scrape ice off our windows. Good reason to sleep in if you ask me.

Congratulations Auntie Beans! Hope you enjoy you Cali trip -- you sure deserve a nice vacay. My DH took last week off cuz he thought his family was coming to visit (they are coming later this week instead). We went to a lot of places we would have gone if we didn't live here and he kept telling everyone he was on vacation. Of course, they usually asked where we are from and he says "Here! Why would I leave?"

Thanks wahine - my mind is such a Popcorn of events...I meant to tell you about the atlas and looking at AL where you are. We don't know if we'll be able to get that far, but we were talking about it last night. Thanks so much for the congrats about my neice. I'm very excited. One of the baby gifts I got was this bib:

    tis herslf

The Mom is from India and on my side of the fam there's Scottish, German, all kinda Northern European muts (and I've heard everyone is 1/365th Irish - he he he). We were wondering since the bag pipes originated, I believe in India if there's not some Indian/Celtic connection??? Anyway, Tis Herself!

Claire - you are amazing - you just go go go!! That's great!

AStorm - love the pic and thanks for the congrats!

Let's get ready for NYE party and plan for lots of drinks!!! Celebration time again!!!

We are in the northern part, below Nashville. Cute bib! My DH is part irish, so one of the things I got him was a personalized irish mug. He LOVES his guiness! Have friends who have tried to get pg for yrs, and finally are expecting in the spring. I have been buying such cute baby things for them.....they make cuter items now, then when I had my babies. I know you will find lots of "niece" and "auntie" items!!!! So happy for you all!

Ok, I have another seroma......he could tell right away and got out his syringe.  Told me I should have called Friday.  Oh well, sent my fluid for culture but told me he thought it looked good.  Put me on strong antibiotics just in case and wrote me a script for diflucan just in case of the dreaded yeast.  I didn't even ask.  Told me to take my probiotics.  I go back Thursday for another little pull with the syringe.  Sleep sitting up, binder still on, and painpills.  I will be able to bus up though for Dororthys bash.  Hell, want a fun ride?  Let me drive...bwahahaha!  HD

hunky--glad you're doing better, even if I did almost pass out just reading your post (at the part where  he got out his ah, um, thingy).  I wish I could so casually mention going back Thursday for another "little pull"!

Astorm-LOVE the helper kitty!  I've given up on the shoveling for today, going to wait for the wind to die down or just before my freinds come over for dinner tomorrow, which ever comes first. before digging out again.  It's getting blown back just as fast as I can shovel it.  I really don't like this part of a winter Nor'Easter.

LOL at your "Pale pink tit up and fully lubed" that's a good one!!! Mines bright pink and has a big black bulls eye where they drew in a heavy black circle for where to zoom in for the boob-booster-buzzaps. It gets black ink all over my bras n shirts. Dang the fun never ends, just ask HD...

HD - Wow! You do sound so calm about it all. Another seroma and he pulled out his thingy and made NM pass out??? Well, we can proly enjoy a diflucan laced cocktail together...I been waiting till my immune system gets "back to normal" if ever to knock out this low grade annoyance - geeaaaddds - that's all you need is more anti-b's n diflucan - I'm going heavy on probiotics too. I think I'll just start bathing in yoghurt! I'm glad you'll be up for Dorothy's bash. I think we should come up with a Diflucan Vodka Yoghurt Swirl Cocktail for new years! Hope you feel better soon and have fun with the little thingy Thursday. Thanks for the congrats on auntihood. I essited bout anuder lil girly in the fam...Can't wait to see her!!!

OK HD, are you ready for your lecture???? Yea girl, you should have called the dr Friday!! We were all so worried about you, all weekend. You poor dear, that was a lot of pain. Sounds like it still is painful, w/ the painpills, binder, etc. That sucks! Hope this will take care of it, and you can be all bettah soon.

Lotta snow, NM, glad you stopped shoveling for awhile. Even with our little snow, now that it is melting off the roof, my steps are an accident-waiting-to-happen! Very thick ice on them now. Hope they can get to your house for the dinner tomorrow!

Beans, love your booby picture! And yeah, lets start planning the New Years Party!!!! WooHoo!!!

    Hello Loungettes,

Wow, the lounge is jumping.  I really reeeely enjoyed reading all of the posts from today and especially liked the history of the lounge!  It is really neat hearing about the lounge in its early days and makes me wish I was there then.  But then again, I did not have bc then, nevermind....duh!

Congrats Aunt Beans, sweet story. We want to know her name (or did I miss that)?

I went into work today despite the snow.  We had a two hour delayed opening but I was one of the few dumbarses that showed up. It was torture as it is the end of the month and a very busy time.  It was also my last day and I had soooo much to do to tie things up as much as I could.  I got hollared at alot today by clients and real estate agents.  For the most part, I dislike agents anyway.  Ok, thanks for hearing that rant.

I have to pack for tomorrow, what to bring? .....Insurance card...check!  Credit card>>>check!  Drivers License---check!  Okay, I am packed.

Will try to stop by later to at least read the posts, sorry I haven't time to catch up with you all.  Keep the fun coming.this way!  Tittys up, friends!!

    Hey girls,

I just woke up after a night of tossing and turning.....today IS the day I am getting new booobies.  I am excited about their arrival.  I will catch up on lost sleep in the O.R.

Oh Honkey, I am sorry that you are still feeling so bad. I will not lecture you as I did the same thing back in September, did not call over the long holiday weekend, ended up having to have my TE's out the next day as emergency surgery.  I hope you feel better.

And thanks girls for getting up early with me to hold my hand. I will picture you all hovering over me as I awake from that induced coma....propothal, oh yeah!! I will see you all at the pain pill fountain a bit later.  Have a great day!!
