Wishing all of my Breast Buddies here a MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS! I am so glad to have you all, I start every day off here. It's the first thing I do every morning while having my coffee. My wonderful hubby and I will probably just work, as it is just the two of us here. Our families are scattered about the country and I still have to unpack from our last trip!
Love all the pictures, just too funny and too many to comment on all of them. Great memory Chrissy. I am sure we have all done that.
HD, you about done with those laps yet? I think I will just ride on Jocks back and let him do the laps!
Dorothy, I thought your avatar was cute! I didn't see anything X-rated about it. Did someone say something to you?
Love you all and hope no one got coal in their stocking!
...and one for Claire
HUGS to ALL

Glad your xmas was fun Chrissy. Ours won't start until late this afternoon. I woke up with terrible stabbing pain near my incision. I almost couldn't get out of bed. I don't know what that is all about. Took off binder and took some pills. I am hoping I just slept wrong or too many laps in the pool. Joking aside...I hope it subsides and I can enjoy the day. Hope you all have a good day and drinks are on me today. I will wait until meds kick in and then get in shower. Hugs to all! HD

Merry Christmas Girlz! HD, how terrible to have that stabbing pain, not only on Christmas, but a holiday weekend. Do you think you should call your dr and see if you need to go to the ER, or if it can wait till Monday? So sorry for that to happen. Please take care, and go to the ER if it gets worse. Christmas hugssss to you!
Woke up to SNOW....a heavy snowfall with big, wet flakes! Now it is smaller flakes, but we have about 3" and it is sooooo pretty. Will be staying home till we go to my parents for dinner, since they are in our subdivision. Had to cancel going to DD's house as they are across town, and all the overpasses are closed. Been beautiful looking at it! Last time we had any accumulation on Christmas day was almost 50 yrs ago! And 21 yrs ago we only had a dusting and flurries. So it is quite special, esp with my parents here....this might be the first white Christmas my dad has had.
Lori, The "R" rated Santa I commented on was one of Dorothy's neat pics...Santa lying drunk with his hat covering his "junk"....LOL. Loved it, and was hoping the bc.org police wouldn't delete it! Not her avatar...that is so cute. But I love all the racy pics, and would hate for any to be deleted. For some reason I can't see the pics posted on this page, but might be because I am using the netbook...seems like I can't always get them on this. Don't work too much today! Hope you and DH will enjoy the day.
Woke up to low-cal organic eggnog with whiskey and nutmeg....yummmmmmm! Nice day to stay in and look at the beautiful snow and drink christmasy drinks.....
ChEARS to all!!!!

NM - like your vodka bread idea! Would have been great for Christmas breakfast but we had baked French toast with caramel apples cuz it would just sit there and bake itself while we opened presents... one at a time.
Goldie - hope you kick that bug. I always get sick after I fly but it seems like just being in a different climate does it to me, especially when I'm exposed. My neighbor brought over his grandchild the other night (whose mother was 7 when we moved in here!) and I think I got a cute little bug from her... I'll have to find us something to combat viral bugs.
Bonnie - UTI is not fun. Specially since you can't drink on antibax. Bugger. Maybe just some cranberry and tonic for you.
We dressed up the corgi and WD last night and went on our "light walk". There are a lot of lights around us (we can't seem to keep our single strand of icicles working) but there is a house in our neighborhood that is absolutely outrageous. They have lights that strobe to music. They had fake snow ... that's as close as we are going to get this year. There is also a house next door that is pretty amazing too... it won 2nd prize in a local contest.
The corgi found this guy passed out by the pool and dragged him into the lounge for safekeeping.
and she didn't even eat the pwesents...
wy yu not want me eet yum blittery?
Merry Christmas to everyone at HTL! I;m going to slip a little something into the Tenders' stockings... they've been so good to us this year!

Merry, Merry Christmas everyone. I am off to do a quick bicycle ride prior to heading out to Christmas Dinner with friends. Got the puddings made, and fortunately Safeway was open so there will be enough hard sauce for everyone. Would have been on the skimpy side otherwise, as I forgot to check the confectioners sugar.
Glad I made it to church this AM. Was a small crowd as I suspect the bulk were sleeping off Midnight Mass. Nice seeing everyone. (I also paid up, and did next year's pledge.)
Have a few more things to prep and bring to the dinner, but will be after my ride.
I suspect I will be in major need of a glass of wine by then.
Reminder to bring CHAIRS as they don't have enough for everyone. My two folding ones will help.
Merry, merry Christmas again. So glad to be able to really celebrate this year.
And I even got decent-looking hair from Santa, as well as enough consulting work to celebrate in style. Life is good. - Claire

Spent the day with my 91 year old grandmother, my mom, mom's BF, and 2 aunts at the nursing home today. Lots of fun! Having more Christmas tomorrow with Mom, her BF, my brother and his wife. We'll have to watch the weather, we're under a Blizzard Watch for Sunday through Monday.
Here's a Christmas Pudding for us loungettes:
100 ml Southern Comfort
100 ml Drambuie
500 ml Guinness Stout0 -
NM and Gail.....GR8 pictures!!!! Some really made me LOL...and one.....well let me just say that Gail's corgi sure knows who to drag into the HTL!!! OMG Gail....baked french toast with caramel apples? Sounds heavenly!! We used to make a breakfast casserole the night b4 also, and it would cook while we opened presents. Had sausage, bread, eggs, cheese, etc. I am pleased that my DD's carry on that tradition with their families. Oh, and we would make Orange Julius' to drink. Your dish sounds nice and sweet though, so I am sure I would like that even more. NM, Hope that blizzard doesn not materialize! You sure get some horrid ones up there, sometimes. And how nice to be with your 91 yo grandmother....so special. Have fun tomorrow too, when you continue your celebration!
HD, How are you feeling now? I hope the pain went away, and you are okay, but please do get lots of rest and take it easy. Let us know how you are doing if you can. (((HUGS)))
Lots of slush outside on the roads and walkways, that is quickly freezing. Still lots of snow left too, but I warned my parents to be extra careful going to get the paper in the morning. Looks like another day to stay put! Really hope everyone had a super Christmas!!!!!

Merry Christmas!
Avery "heard" Santa and his reindeer last night (lol - gotta love kids' imaginations!) and boy did she LOVE her presents (matchbox cars, a barbie, stickers and Toy Story 3) from him!!! lol
I'm chillin' with what is left of my excellent scotch from London. I may not make it to work on Monday (live in Chicago, commute to NY) so while that IS a concern it just may be a cause for celebration! (although if I don't make it in I could be in deep doodoo).
Hope everyone here had a great Christmas!

Happy day after Christmas girls. I hope everyone had as wonderful of a Christmas as I did. I had my parents in from Myrtle Beach, my inlaws up from North Jersey, my exhubby who is my baby daddy and my DH. We all get along so well and had a great time. We are canceling a trip to PA today due to a blizzard that is about to hit here.
Astorm, I love the pics you posted, glad you brought that man in from the pool, I think we can use him as a tatty tender, oh baby. The doggies and kitty are sooo cute.
NM and Beans, I also like your pictures, the pictures are what make this so fun. As someone else said, it is great entertainment getting up in the morning and checking in with all you fun crazy ladies to see what is happening at the lounge.
Kathy, thanks for clarifying about my ex rated photo. I am still cracking up in that I did not see his junk hanging out when I posted it. I wonder if it is still posted? the current pic i have is of my dogs but they look better in "person". lol. Are you having the same blizzard in Al that we are having? And I guess NM is getting it too, seems the entire East coast is going to get slammed with snow. We do not deal with it well as you girls up in WA. My DD will be disappointed in not seeing her cousins today as planned but I am not driving with snow expected to fall at 2" per hour. It has not started yet but is close.
Hunky D, I am so sorry you were feeling so bad, I sure hope that you are feeling better today. I am praying for you to heal and have no more pain. I miss you here and hope you are well enough to join us today. I will also help in drinking your share at the HTL. Come on in, grab a hammock and pants will take good care of you, we demand it.
Claire, you never cease to amaze me girl, you are exercising enough for all of us, I really admire that as my arse has been soooo lazy since BC. And congrats on your new hair, I bet you look hot!
I was trying to post a picture yesterday that was so cute but it kept comiing up blank when I posted it. I am going to try one more time here.
Yeah, it worked. I thought it very appropriate for the lounge.
And this is where the egg nog started! Come and join me for a morning toast.
And wow, I was mooned by a snowman!
I hope all my girls have a great day and will join me at the lounge. I am just going to stay put today and relax in the hammock next to HD. Who is going to join me??

ughh, none of my pics posted, they were in the preview but disappeared when I posted. Boo, BC.org Boo. I wonder if they blocked my abiltiy to post pics?? wahhhhh!!! I posted six pics and none of them are here, I am calling the BCorg police and starting a full investigation. I did not mean to put up x-rated pics, I swear!!!!

Wahine--I'm hoping the blizzard DOES come as scheduled--this is the perfect time! Schools are on break, I don't have to go anywhere that can't be rescheduled, minimal disruption of life if it comes now, and after ALL the ski resorts, snowmobile and cross-country trails will be open. That kind of economic kick start we could use around here! I really like it when these storms come in during the night, by the time I get up all the cancellations are already coming in. Some of the scariest drives I've had have been driving home after school was closed due to weather. I'd much rather not have to go out at all!
jaybird--my freinds used to make reigndeer and Santa snowprints around their house when thier boys were little (they don't have a fire place or chimney so Santa came in the kitchen door). It was so much fun listening to the boys telling about that, and they would swear they heard the sleigh bells, too!
Going to have Christmas dinner and presents with Mom, her BF, brother & SIL today. Planning to eat myself silly, got to stock up before the blizzard starts late tonight!
DOTD: A Real Maine Blizzard
2 oz Allen's Coffee Brandy
1 oz White Rum
1 oz Irish Cream
2 scoops Gifford's Ice Cream
1 splash Oakhurst Light Cream
Allen's Coffee Brandy is the Maine state drink (aka, cheap and easily found in Maine)
Gifford's ice cream has a manufacturing plant in Ellsworth, Maine, about 30 miles from where I live.
Oakhurst is a New England, primarily Maine, dairy company.
world's largest snow-woman, built in Bethel, Maine, April 2008
Based on past experience I can anticipate some shoveling tomorrow:
Someone's driveway after the 2010 blizzard:
But these storms do bring beauty, too--like this "mackeral sky" that is red in the morning, hearalding a bg storm:

Good morning girlzzzz!
NM, Glad you will welcome the blizzard, if it hits! Good way to think about it, and look forward to it. But ugh.....I do not envy any of you, having to dig out of it! There was a huge blizzard when I lived near Lake Michigan, in IN, in Jan of '78. My youngest was just a couple of wks old, and it was such a mess trying to get milk, food, etc. Was very glad to move to the (usually) sunny South! RIght now it is snowing and just so pretty. The slush that had melted on walkways and roads froze overnight, so another day to stay in! Told my dad to be REALLY CAREFUL when retrieving his Sunday paper, as it will be soooooo slick. Love your pictures! AND what a purrfect drink....think I will try it right now!
Dorothy, Awwwww....I was hoping to see your pictures! You might want to put them on photobucket (can be private), and then copy and post them here. Seems they need to be on the internet, and then they usually post okay. NOOOOOOOO......you did not post a "dirty" Santa...lol. His hat COVERED his junk...nothing showed...just suggestive, and sometimes the "bc police" get extra-picky and remove things like that. I think Lori (?) had something deleted by them in the past. But keep posting pics like that, as we enjoy them!!! How awesome that you can have your ex join you in celebrations! My hat is off to you (actually I am not wearing a hat, but if I had one on, I would take it off....LOL), as that is so much better for your children. My ex (kids daddy) was so abusive and violent towards me, that I would not even be able to see him again....keep him FAR away from me!!! But I always told my girls that he loved them, even though he didn't materialize in their liives till they were grown. Now he is still losing out, as he does not keep up any relationship with them. Their "real father" was my late DH, who adopted them when we married, and was such a loving father and husband. We all still miss him a lot. But I really applaud you, that you have a good relationship with your ex!
Jaybird, Ohhhhhhh how sweet!!!! Avery is such a doll. Just don't make the mistake we did when my girls were young.....one of the things Santa got them was a race-car set, and DH and I had fun setting it up and playing with it. Apparently they heard US and peeked and saw us leaving all the "Santa" gifts. LOL. These years are such fun, when your child is growing up. Hope you can get to your job with all this bad weather!!!! Can just picture you, enjoying your scotch, looking out at the snow!
HD, are you ok today????? Please let us know how you are, ok??? Junie, Did you get to the casino? If so, hope the casino god was generous to you! Dee, please come back and stay awhile!!! Beans, how are you doing? Hope the rads aren't zapping ALL your energy. Lori, Did you have a nice Christmas? Chrissy, sounds like you had such a nice celebration! My Aussie relatives made a funny elf video...was so cute. Stanzie, hope you had a nice trip! OMG, I know I am leaving some out, but please forgive me, as I think of all of you! My parents had us over last night for a really good Prime Rib.....my favorite! The lake looked so pretty with snow on the banks. Today is my youngest DD's birthday. We won't get to see them till next Sunday, and will celebrate Christmas with them then.
Super Snowy Sunday! Pants, please refill my drink...you know, the one NM posted.....yummmmmmm!

Merry Morning After!!! Christmas is more fun with little kids around--their astonishment is so contagious! I have just a few who are still young enough to believe, but their older sibs have probably ratted out the fat guy to them by now!
We really enjoyed our Christmas Day trip to the casino. No big wins, but played for a long time on not a lot and had so much fun playing weird slot machines that I've never tried! The buffet was very good--they had a dressing made with apples and almonds--I atually went back for seconds!
Cold here and barely spitting snow; nothing bad in the forecast. Those of you facing the eastern blizzard, get stocked up, stay home, stay safe! Have experienced my fair share of blizzards; ice storms; power outages--not fun! The only white Christmas I ever want to see is snow in the trees/yard and streets and sidewalks clear!!! Good luck to you all!!!
Looks like time for some dog beers; maybe act like I'm interested in DH's beloved Chief's game---naaaahhhhh--heading out to the pool for a girl gab fest!
big Sunday huggggssssss to ALL!!!
bottomsup!!!!

Morning! Day After Christmas...what pressies did you get? Did you get one of these??
Yes, you guesst itm it's a thong to make your car look sexy!! ha ha ha!
No, for real, DH got me this t-shirt:
Kinda summed up all my chemo/zofran conversations with him over the past months. ha ha ha! So glad to be chemo free and almost dun with rads!!
Hope ya'll had a great Christmas! (We had fun, but the weather sux as usual - now big blow coming in)
I'm heading for the slots with some vodka and grapefruit juice. I'm playing dollar slots today and feel real lucky. Hope you see you there!!
Big hugs and hope you got no bed bugs!!! Stay cool (or warm) ~beeeeeeeans

Hi girls, I am stopping in for a quick one, I am going to order the DOTD, yeah, let's make it a double and bring one for Kathy and one for Jean the Bean!
I am blessed in that the men in my life get along so well. My ex and DH get along wonderfully. When I divorced, I made it a point to keep my ex in my life for my daughter's sake. If I was dating someone that refused to understand that Sunday's were our "family" day and I would be with my ex, he would be out the door. It is funny as we still have our Sunday and both guys are usually here. My exhubby is a great guy, it is just that we could not live together. He still drives me nuts when he is here but there is not a thing in the world that he won't do for our daughter and I love him for the great dad and friend he is. My husband has no issues with that. In the summer, we all party together by the pool and cook outdoors. And my daughter has the best of both worlds with two men that love her very much. I am truly blessed as I have a great and wonderful family. I always feel so bad when I hear of families that cannot get along as I just cannot imagine life without my immediately family, sisters, brother and parents.
I agree that Christmas is very fun with little ones around. I really do miss that. I have five neices and nephews all local and in their twenties. I am waiting patiently for them to have babies assuming that will happen before i become a grandmother. As much as I can't wait, "we" are not ready, baby is just a freshman in college. I shall be patient but do miss those days in seeing her eyes light so big when seeing the pile of gifts from Santa, the excitement of the season is precious when we can look at it through the eyes of little ones.
.I love the pink panties, but Kath, I don't think they look like big girl pants, they are hot and would look so hot on my car! I love my car but not the car payment I have for another three years.
And gosh, I had a question about something said here but have forgotten. Oh my stars, I have killed too many brain cells. I keep forgetting things and loosing things. I just found my savings account passbook yesterday after going through the process of ordering a new one. The bank would not let me have my money until I ordered a new one but I knew it was somewhere "safe", where I put it.
Girls, sorry I am talking too much. I only came on here to check things out and see who was here. I am again also trying to post pictures, trying one now. Going to the pool now~~splash~~, haha, gotcha wet Beans!

Funny pictures. Thanks for all the good vibes. I am going to have to go in to Surgeons tomorrow. Something isn't right. I am as much pain as I was day after surgery. Glad everyone had a good xmas. Loved the t- shirt Beans. Kathy, glad you have pretty snow to look at. Junie, glad you had fun at the casino. Dorothy, thanks for visiting with me in the hammock. I am sure glad we have the tenders. Hiya Jaybird...nice to see you again. Well, just was able to get dressed today. Now I am playing ketchup on email, etc. Happy Sunday gals.....HD
0 -
OMG HD....so sorry to hear that you are STILL in so much pain! Glad you are going to see the surgeon tomorrow. Please let us know as soon as you can, what needs to be done! Shall we join you, and get the bus to pick everyone up? Gentle (((hugs))) to you, HD!
Dorothy. LOL....you are right, they really do not look like Big Girl Panties...I think that came to mind since they are so BIG!!!! What a riot if you got that for your car!
Joining you all by the pool..........whole lotta splashing going on!
0 -
Its only 2:15 in the afternoon and I'm already for my red wine!!!! but if I start drinking now, I'll have one heck of a headache!!!! In a funk today!!
HD...I hope your surgeon has some answers for you tomorrow and can do somehting for the pain
The thong on the car is great....don't think they make one big enough for my "big bertha" as I call my suburban!!!!
Wishing everyone a good day...Those of you in the NE, say warm, stay dry and snuggle up by the fire!!
0 -
ooopppsss--need to clarify for the newer loungettes--my reference to little kids should have read GRANDKIDS!!!! LOL!!!! That being said, HunkyD--SOOOOO sorry that you are still having such pain! Hope you get into dr earliest and can get some answers and relief. Let us know as soon as you are able. Know we are are all holding your hand!!!!
AStorm--can we get the bus readied to go be with Hunky and then off to the NE to rescue our snowbound sisters and gather everyone back here at the HTL for much needed pampering and TLC. I'm notifying Jocks and Pants and Skate to get ready for some overtime! Maybe Wahine can see if Hunk's available to help out for a few days.
Heading back to the pool. Think I'll just swing in my hammock and watch you all swim and splash. Thses dog beers are tasting mighty fine right now!

Wahine-during storms like this I usually go out and shovel every hour or two to keep up with it all, depending on the wind direction. In a true Nor'Easter I need to clear out a couple of places at least once an hour to prevent drifts from getting totally out of control. I keep telling myself it's good exercise. . .
Beanie-I can't imagine seeing that going down the road in front of you! But what a laugh! PS-like the T-shirt, too! Here's a pic of the T-shirt I wore to my reconstruction (not that anyone but me noticed):Dorothy-don't take up all the pool floaties, I want one! Sounds like your daughter is a very, very lucky girl!
Hunky-for goodness sake, you better not walk out of the surgeon's office without an answer and some major pain control tomorrow! Really, do not leave the exam room until you have both and answer and some effective pain meds. This is nuts, there has to be something wrong for you to be in this much pain still.
Karen-sorry to hear you are in a funk today. Maybe alternating wine and coffee or wine and water? Anything so you can start your drinking when you need to, but not get a headache after!
Junie-I'll be looking for the bus on Tuesday, by then I'll be plenty tired of the shoveling and mess and in need of some pampering!
0 -
NM--luv, luv, luv the tee-shirt!!!! Don't shovel too much! Hope you're all stocked up and can hold out until Tuesday!!!!
0 -
NM, Yes, I imagine that would be a LOT of exercize! Wow...wonder how the ones that have to go to work can keep up with the snow removal. Be careful though....that snow gets heavy, as you know all too well. I LOVE that shirt....took a second to figure it out....sooooooo true!
Hi Karen, if you don't want a headache, just drink at our cyber bar! Lotsa fun, pampering, all the fancy drinks you want, etc. Although where I am it is almost 5....happy hour time! YAY!!!!
Time to have a drink!
AMen (I mean BARMEN)!!!!
Just saw the news....you all be very safe, those of you that are in the path of this storm! Jaybird, looks like over 800 cancellations by DL so far...hope you can stay home and cozy warm. It will be a nightmare when the flights resume, with all the full flights and then trying to fit the stranded passengers on...yikes! Be careful girlzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
0 -
Dorothy - glad you get along with your x for kids. My sisters have done that too and it is good for the kids and me. Not all divorces are because the peoples are bad, just some of us can't get along. Cheers to you!
HD - I'm spittin' out every 4 letter word I can think of that you are still in pain and have to see the surgeon tomorrow. Please know the bus is on it's way to be with you!!! F, S, P, Caca, F, S, F, F ,F !!! I so hope you feel better soon!!!
Wahine - I'm joining you at the pool, I won $10,000 at the dollar slots (believe me???). Thanks for the safety warning! It has been so stormy here. I'm just hoping the power doesn't knock out my tanning booth before I'm finished cooking. So close....then (with a sour look on my face) just 5 years of Tamoxifen...happy happy joy joy...does Tammy go good with vodka??? I really need a martini! I'll take vodka or gin...or a shot of tequila...anything!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Karen - I would love to see that thong on your suburban!! LOL!!!
AStorm - LOL at your pics, so funny!! Junie is right can you get the bus ready? That sounds like a perfect trip!!
Native - I love your shirt, more subtle than mine! Perfect for going to recon..
Jaybird, Dee - good to hear from youses.
Goldie - Let's start planning a New Year's Par-tay!!!
To all my other HTL hottie chicka friends out there - Big Hugs and Cha cha cha cheers! Titz flapping in the wind here, trying to cool em off sizzle sizzle sizzle...

Junie--I grew up here in Maine, so I know the drill. I do my winter storm prep work the first weekend in October every year. Empty and refill the water supply jugs, get out all the hurricane lamps and get them cleaned, wicks trimmed and topped off with lamp oil, stock the box (a tote I keep with emergency food supplies) with things that don't require heat to eat, dig out, clean and fuel up the coleman stove in the basement (because I ger VERY cranky when I can't have my coffee in the am, or something hot to drink when the house gets cold), and spray the snow shovels with cooking oil. If I'm really good I also find my gloves and hats and put them through a wash if needed, then put them where I can find them. It's funny, though, I lose power more often in the summer than the winter, and winter outages rarely last more than a few hours. Then there are the exceptions, like the ice storm of '98 when my power was out for 4 days. . .
Wahine--when I had to leave for work at 6 am I used to shovel out last thing at night and then get up at 4 so I'd have an extra hour for shoveling. If it was going to be really bad I would sleep in one of the call rooms at the hospital and just get up and go to the cafeteria for breakfast then upstairs to work. I've always wondered why the staff who lived furthest from the hospital always managed to get to work during stormy weather but the staff that lived literally within walking distance couldn't make it in. I am soooo glad to have a job in the school system and don't have to go to work in storms! The campus has already been closed for tomorrow, even though it's break time for most of us.
The snow started about half an hour ago. Very, very fine stuff, and the wind is picking up so I think we're going to get slammed. Oh, well, it had to happen sometime, I suppose!
I'm going to park my carcass in the hot tub and soak while I listen to the wind whistling and the screams of joy from the casino. . .
