how about drinking?

Stanzie, I hope they list your name on the credits on the film you are helping with. That would be so cool.
Claire, I just love your outlook. You are one amazing lady. When I grow up, I want to be like you lol.
My love is home and working outside on the snow while I drink. I feel bad that I was a bit mean to him. This emotional hangover can only be cured with more dwinks. Starting #3. Oh gawd, the night is waaaay young.
Kath, I love ebay. I have often thought about selling and as a buyer, have a perfect feedback score and was offered to sell but just don't have the spunk to get er done. Does anyone know where I can get some speed? lol.

Oh no there would not be any credits - I'm just watching out for my friend's house. Would love for some movie to film at my house though - could use the money big time.
I know it is harder to post your own pictures. In case Lori can't get to her business email anyone know how to tell me how to post them. I have copied them to a folder and then I ???? Since there isn't a URL not sure what to do. I tried copy and paste and nothing happened.

Stanzie, they have to be on the internet in order to post here. I use my facebook page and hide them in an albumn then delete them. Do you have facebook? Once you get them on the net, you just copy the link from the browser bar, come back to bc.org and click into the green icon above and paste what you copied.
And I think that you should perhaps joke with the person that calls you to coordinate everything with your friends home and casually mention that you'd like to see your name in the credits. I am one that reads credits and it seems that credit if given to all that assist in the filming. Just a thought. Have a good night, I am fried.

Stanzie, If you don't have a facebook acct (like me), you can do a quick photobucket acct if you don't already have one. And you can make your album "private" too, so it won't be accessable by anyone else. Then just add it to your album, and copy and paste it here. When the little box pops us, just say yes to allow it. Sometimes you have to paste it again after you click in the box. That usually works for me. We just watched a movie I bought, and I kept nodding off. So I missed the best parts...

Son glad to hear that Junie is home.....nothing like sleeping in your own bed :0
Stanzie....I'm confused about the house bit....is your house on a TV show/movie?...I had trouble following all the comments.....
Goldie.....great description of Shabbat....it is the sabbath.....I make Shabbat dinner every week....I make my own challah...we always roast garlic....generally some type of chicken (and once in a while, roast), potatoes or noodle kugel, toasted couscous or some other starch, hot veggie, salad....and generally I bake something fresh like cookies or rum cake, marble cake or whatever my DH requests....for shabbat lunch we either eat leftovers or I make cholent...cholent is kind of like stew, but different....it is slow cooked...either in crock pot or low temp in oven over night.....stew type meat, potatoes, onions, beans, barely, seasoning and water to cover....its history goes way back.....We keep the shabbat, so no TV, driving, computer, working, cleaning, writing etc....we go to synagogue on Saturday morning.....I will try to post my menu each week...if I run out of town before candle lighting (I light candles at the start of shabbat to bring in the shabbat), I will post saturday night)...
I fell asleep this afternoon while reading and when I woke up, I felt dopey, and its taken me almost all night to get out of the fog....of course, now its 11:00p, and should be bed time, but not tired......Didn't sleep well at all last night, even with Ambien and then Ativan...woke up every couple of hours!!!
Well, the warm weather is coming to an end...snow the beginning of the week and the high for Tuesday is predicted to be 1 degree !!! and well in the minus teens at night!!! Better get in a long walk tomorrow.....No mall walking on work days unless I go at 5am!!!!
DS called this evening....I mailed him a box of cookies....large size flat rate box....and he commented....you sent so many I almost don't have room....but don't worry they'll all get eaten....there were probably 5# of cookies.....I also sent my SIL a box of cookies to his b'day, but mailing to Canada is so expensive....a medium flat rate box was $27.95....the large box to the states is only 14.95....and the USPS says its hurting for money....well with the packages I've been mailing, they should be making up for lost business!!!!
Claire...I can't wear wool of anysorts anymore....get too hot in it.....When I was younger, all my sweaters were wool....then gradually went to cotton and now don't wear any heavy sweaters...most of my tops are small cardigans that I wear buttoned with a cami underneath....they are pretty much t-shirt weight.....most are cotton.....love 3/4 sleeves too!!! I generally go bare legged unless it is bitter cold out, then I put leggens on (I don't wear pants)
Love e-bay and on-line shopping....on ebay I tend to only buy items that are new, but get good prices...I bought my snow boots, down coat, clogs, camera and many other things on ebay....I love the 2nd hand stores in town and my house is mostly furnished from consignment stores and probably 75% of my clothes are "previously owned"....I have name brands that I could never afford to buy otherwise....my DH says he's glad people love to spend a lot of money on their clothes and happy that they give it away so he can get it so cheap....and when the 2nd hand stores have 1/2 price sales it is even better....I have way too many clothes because of that....I have some Dansko clogs and sandles that don't fit anymore that I need my husband to post on ebay....
Dorothy....speed....heck, I don't refer to my Vyvanse as speed!!!!
What about "mmj"?
Well....no wine tonight, but I did have 2 glasses this afternoon...heck, maybe its time for a 3rd before bed!!! I like NM comments....is it ever time to stop!!!
Hugs to all....and don't forget to remind us to watch the movie tomorrow night....

Stanzie-E-bay can be a lot of fun and you can bag some great deals there. I do my research first, decide what I want, then go looking on E-bay. Sometimes I bid sometimes I find a great deal with the "Buy It Now" feature. That's where the seller lists a price that you can buy the item for without bidding. Watch the shipping prices, though. Sometimes the shipping is the biggest cost. You can also go on and set up an account and just lurk for a while, that can be amusing, too!
Wahine-don't expect the meter readings to be smaller than usual after the estimated readings. Where I am they used to estimate every other month, but the months where the meter is read never seemed to be lower than the same month the prior year, even though the estimated reading was always much higher than the same month in the past. There was so much complaining about this that the company only estimates when they cannot read a meter now.
Dorothy-I've sold a couple of items on e-bay. Start small, with something that is inexpensive to ship. Talk to your local packaging/shipping stores, they will often give you shipping info to use in your posting. E-bay also has step-by-step instructions, and once you sign up as a seller you get notices of deals when you can post items for free.
I'm going to wander in to the Sunday buffet and coffee bar, get fueled up and caffienated for the day and see if I can see any ideas for some meals to cook for the week. My first 12 hours clinicla shift is coming up on Tuesday--that's 12 hours for the students, at least 14 for me, and I'n not sure that I'm not too old for that much time on my feet! But, that's what's needed this semester, so that's what I'll do.
And a DOTD that predicts what I will feel like by 9 pm Tuesday!Long Distance Runner

1 slice Pineapple

Ok, I am not on my work computer but can get to the email. I will go look for the picture Stanzie and post it.
Dorothy, once you delete the picture from Facebook, it deletes from your posts, as the URL is no longer.
So sorry for all you gals with the large utilities, that SUCKS big time. Fortunately we don't have that problem. We have our own well, make our electricty, heat with a pellet stove (about $4.00 a day) The only thing we have to pay for is propane, and not much is run on that. The stove is, but I grill alot.
Kathy, I hope you get the floor done soon and are happy with it.
Karen, I just copied the Shabbat explanation from the internet. What a wonderful thing to have (the internet) everything you could possibly want to know is right there at your finger tips.
I see some pictures there.......I will forward them to my laptop, and get them to photobucket to post them.
Back later.............

Good Morning! Having a cuppa joe, then will check out the buffet, and pants, and jock! Love your pics NM! Looks like a sock monkey face in the coffee, and those squash ducks look so awesome....would be neat to try to make them sometime. BUT.....after your BIG cuppa coffee, you might want to add some likker to your DOTD! Can't function on only juice...lol. Your pictures are always soooooo purrfect. Love the couple shopping in their undies!
Ebay selling has really slowed to a crawl. B4 Christmas, we had to take several parcels to the post office every day.....now maybe 1-2 a week! I only sell brand-new stuff, but unless you have something that sells for a LOT more than you pd for it, it isn't as worth it as it used to be. With shipping prices higher now, it affects your bottom line, as buyers look at the total price. Esp if its something heavy or large. Till the end of Dec (b4 parcel prices went up), it was usually cheaper to mail things priority mail rather than parcel, but I don't see that now. I sell more on Amazon now, but their charges are much higher, and you only get whatever shipping prices they decide that the entire catagory should be. So if you have something light, you make a little on shipping, but if its heavy or big, sometimes it costs me 2x what amazon gives you for shipping. So definately not a big money maker!
Ok...perusing the buffet.....I think I will have one of that, one of that, one of that....oh heck, just put everything on my plate! LOL. And I will try the DOTD, but with some likker in it. AND an irish coffee, and mimosas.......
Chairs! (cause I will prob fall into 1 soon),
Kathy
Hi Lori! Missed your post as I took too long to type mine. Join me in the buffet and lets toast Junie being back home!

Hey my fellow dwunks,
I hope you are all having a great day. I am gearing up for work and getting my clothes ready for the week. I will surely have sore legs tomorrow as this always happens once i get back into dress shoes. I am ready as can be!
Karen, I am sorry you are having such a hard time sleeping. I sure wish I could give you some of my sleeping ability. I can sleep and sleep. Even with tropical heatwaves in bed, I still manage to get so much sleep. I hope you enjoy your walk today.
Lori and Kathy, thanks for pointing out that I am doing the pics thing the hard way. I have just made a photobucket account. I thought it was something I would have to pay for but after you mentioned it, I decided to research. And oh boy, my first album is called boobs and I put pics of my journey on there. It is amazing how far I have come. I have a really ugly pic of what I called the bullet hole in my foob which was taken one day prior to removal of my te's. I would share it but it is pretty gross. thanks again for making me think of setting up an account. Nice!
Stanzie, I bet the girls in your hood are very exciting about the movie tonight. I was looking at the photos of that home before and after and although it looks different, it still has that wonderful look and great character. I would love to see a pic of your mansion! It does sound lovely.
NM, great pics as always. I love how you lay them out and find pics related to each of our posts. YOu are very creative. Oh, my dogs got scared when I showed them the pic of the dog being sold on ebay lol. I am a big ebayer and have bought alot of my bras there. I also only buy new but have found great bargains. Some of my best finds are items that have been discontinued on the market such as perfumes, cosmetics etc. I get so excited when I find things that I can not longer buy at the store. I have also boughten a case of my favorite hairspray! I am not one to bid though, I am a buy it now girl. I wish I had mentioned my wanting to sell while I had time. Oh well! And FYI, from what I see, the DOTD has no likker?? How could that be? I hope that your Tuesday goes fast and is not too hard on you. It does sound like a long day.
I have a crew of three outside shoveling out my DD's car. We are having another storm on Tuesday and I do not think my township will be happy if her car was buried even more as my street is quite wide until you get near my house. Another big storm might make it impossible for two cars to pass at the same time. I am lucky that I did not get ticketed for having it there. My town is not too lenient.
Well I have to get moving. I have alot to do and little time to do it. I am going to make myself a drink now cuz I have to get to bed early for the big day. Sending love and hugs to Junie and also to the rest of my breast friends. To all, have a wonderful day.

Hi My Lounge Friends!!! I got back to the gray, rainy WA coast. Now I want to leave again. Been doin laundry and getting organized. I had such a great trip, but missed my friends here. My brain is doing quite a bit better, now I'm thinking about what my life should look like from here?? Definitely need more sunny days and stars at night - the night sky camping was awesome to say the least. Some nights we had nearly full moons, then later a dark sky full of stars - so beautiful - could see the milky way and so many stars. Here is one pic of the moon coming up over the lake where we camped.
So, whad I miss?? Anyone wanna go for a swim and have a bottle of Cuervo with me? Yahoo!!! We can shoot the breeze, pour sun tan lotion all over our bods and get roasty toasty in the sun. Cheers and I'm chasing mine with dog beers. ~Beans

I will join you for a few, Beans. Welcome back. I sent for Pants and he is on his way to apply the suntan lotion!! I MISSED YOU!!!!!!

Count me in girls....I have missed ya too Beans!

Me three....(or 4, 5........)! I missed you 2 (3,4,,5). Beans, are you gonna watch the movie tonight that was filmed on Stanzie's street? Thats what a lot of the chatter is about today....should be a good one. I can just imagine all of us drinking buds watching it at the same time! Guess we could put it on the big screen here at the HTL. That pic was gawgeous! Thanks for sharing. Is that a new pic of you in your avatar? I can't see you well though, as its so tiny...can you post that one bigger? WB, glad you are among us again!!!
TITZ UP,
Kathy
P.S. I'm, on a roll....only 2 injuries so far today, and I have been working with retractable box cutters, hammers, etc....not too bad, no stitches today. Well, I just took a break and gonna go work some more, so keep your fingers crossed! LOL

Glad you are back Beanie! Sounds like a wonderful relaxing vacation and the picture is beautiful!
Do any of you all have AT &T Universe? They talked me into doing a trial for 30 days and are supposed to come and set it all up on Tuesday and I'm having big second thoughts. So thought I'd ask if you all have an opinion. It would be more expensive than the Comcast I have now which is really just basic or perhaps they stuck in some extras when they couldn't get it to work after three tries. Anyway, thought I'd ask.
Wish I understood electronics and how to tape or play back things.... as you all know with posting pictures or anything that plugs in - I just do not comprehend!
0 -
Stanzie, I think your mind is wired more for the arts than for technology (in a good way)! No prob though, esp when your kids get older, they can help you so much then. No idea about the Universe thingie, but if no one chimes in about it, I can ask my DD. She and her DH are our computer, cell phone experts. We luckily got a plan about 4 yrs ago or so and have nearly unlimited minutes, texts, picture sending, internet usage, for a very LOW price. So when I lost my phone in Vegas, we kept our plan up till we had time to go in and get a newer phone....do not ever want to drop this plan. Good luck, Hope someone here knows about that.
Goltta go back out and work with the cutter an the insulation. Guess I shouldn't be wearing shorts as I am so itchy with that insulation all over me. SOON it will be happy hour, and then SOON it will be "the" movie!
CANCER CHUPA but BREAST FRIENDS ARE SUPA!

Hip Hip Horray, Hip hip HORRAY, it is Junie, our one and only. We missed so much. Welcome back, the tenders are so excited. I hope you are feeling well. Hey, don't drink too much. On second thought, maybe time to make up for lost time drinking?? BOTTOMS up, TITS UP!
The tenders were so excited that they never finished decorating. I see you over there Junie, getting all pampered. After you have a few and get your massage, come on out and lets PARTAY!!!!!!

Beans..... That is the most amazing photo. Thanks for posting.
You are right about grey. Was hoping for the sun to come out today when doing my ride, but only for a moment here and there. Strong North headwind for the trip back. Was I ever glad to be done.
So thrilled to see you too Junie.
I swung by Safeway on the way back from my ride to take advantage of Covey Run being on sale. Their chard is mediocre, but I like their cab, and you can't beat $4.50 a bottle if you buy six.
I made myself waffles this AM from the Bluebird mix, with some mixed berries thrown in. YUM!!! Had with maple syrup (real stuff) and some leftover bacon from the boeuf bourguignonne.
I still have some work to do as finishing up some stuff that I got behind on with the project that took on a life of its own.
And since I made a pot of stew, I have dinner ready to go. YAY!!!!

Gawd girlz, so glad to hear from u alls!! Hey soundez lika par-tay. So much to celebrate so let's get to it!!! Claire can we stop in for some pot of stew with our clinking glasses of wine??? In spite of the gray I got a jog in on the beach, now some crappy beans on tortillas for din din with ugly lettuce and tomatoes. My garlic is all shot and onions are nealy bad, soooo I gotta go shopping tomorrow. Now for another glass of wine!

Welcome back to the lounge Junie! So hoping your week will be positive with a possiblity of in home rehab! We all love ya! The Hallmark ovie doesn't start here yet until 8pm. I am hoping to make it that long, if not, DVR is set. I know it will be a tear jerker so I am not real anxiious about that part. Welcome home Beanie Baby! Tomorrow is work day for me so I am already stretched out on the bed. Husband usually shudders at the thought of Hallmark movies, but I told him the story of Stanzie and her neighborhood so he felt a little stir I guess because it meant something to me and our tight group here! So, I think I will have company watching it for a while anyway. Anyway...tizz up! HD

Whew, tearjerker is right! DH and I both had tears streaming down, esp near the end. VERY good movie though, and so glad to have seen it!

So annoyed at my son. He was going to watch it with me but as soon as it started he decided it wasn't his type of movie! I think he would have liked it. If for no other reason but to see out street on film. I thought it was pretty good and not as sappy as I thought it would be. I do like Betty White but I'm not as fond of Jennifer Love Hewitt - I think she did fine in the movie but she always seems to do the same thing, same looks, same expressions so not too fond of her acting ability. I was wondering if her fake eyelashes would show up on film. Both Betty White and her wore them but hers in real life were just tremendous - like big spiders.
The guy I met with his girl friend was the actor who played Betty White's young husband. He was very nice - I had no idea he had as big of a part. He was quite a regular guy and just hung out and talked.
I will say now I'm wondering if there really is a screen porch out back of that house. I don't remember one but ? The scenes where she went to visit with the Veterines was filmed at Agnes Scott College outside of one of the dorms. I know this cause it is where I ended up going to college even though I tried to get out of the South - it just wasn't in the cards so to speak.
Rode bikes today - no not like Claire rides - just a ride around the neighborhood and went by the house which is next door to Steve and Sheri's - they are using her neighbors outside for the exterior views but then using their front parlors and dining room for the interior shots. Anyway, saw the fake leaves on the trees - They look really great except for two big branches sticking out of a bank of Leland Cypress trees - one branch has yellow leaves and the other bright red leaves - they look a bit hokey.
Junie - wow, back home and even checking in! I'm terribly impressed. Hope home recovery is speedy and I can only imagine how wonderful it is for you to be back home! We all missed you!

Well there you go! I step out the door for a while and everything happens at once! WELCOME BACK BEANS AND JUNIE!!!!! YAY!!!!!! Am I too late for the PAR-TAY? Beans, can I take a swim in your lake? it looks so cool and inviting and I am at the point I really need to cool down! Weather here is shocking..........it's been over a 100 plus all week and forecasters are telling us there will be no reprieve until at least next Sunday!!! My main aircon is on the fritz (broken) and I'm waiting for the repair man to come but it's not going to be a timely repair...........unfortunately, even though I phoned him a fortmight ago, it looks like at least another week before he can get here....waaaaahhhhh! I've been dunking my head in a bucketof cool water and letting it dribble over my body then sitting infront of a fan to evaporate and cool me down, It feels loverly for the twenty minutes that it takes to dry and then I have to repeat the process all over again etc, etc, etc. Well, bodys damp but the throat is dry.........did someone mention dog bEErs? The perfect thing for a melting person................PaNts! JocKs! I need some care here!!!
TITZ UP!!!!

Stanzie...thanks for the clarification....now I got it...the Hallmark movie was filmed on your street....missed a bit of it when I had to go and pick up DD from a party (ticked that husband didn't go, but he tivod the movie, tho not sure I will go back and watch the missed parts as it was in the 2nd 1/2 hour)....I always try to watch the hallmark movies.
Junie....so glad to see a post from you
Beanie....grey skies....do u live in WA or just visiting?
Had a great long walk today....just had to get out of the house.....just tied up in a knot....walked to the CherryCreek mall which is about 2 1/2 miles, then walked through the mall, bought a couple beads for my bracelet at geeze...can't remember the name of the store but it starts with a "B"...and got a couple Bat Mitzvah gifts for DD to give to friends...then on my way home stopped at Target....they have those little stretchy gloves....2 packs....on clearance for 37 cents....now thats just some colors...so I've been stocking up to donate next year...think I have at least 6 or 8 packs of 2.
Made homemade pizza for dinner.....pesto with spinach, red and yellow peppers, onions and yellow tomatoes....when I was done realized I forgot the sliced portabello mushrooms and the feta cheese...but it was great anyways...DD was at a b'day party and they served frozen pizza....she thinks its just gross!!!
Don't remember if I told you this, but I sent my son a large box of homemade cookies...they arrived and he called to tell me last night...he told me there were sooo many and he was running out of room, but don't worry they'll get eaten....wonder if he'll share with his roommates...he has 3....I think there were 4 or 5 # of cookies....
just poured a glass of shiraz...Claire...I order my wine by mail....I get it from Chicago and get a really good rate even with shipping....its all kosher wines and they have a few chilean ones that are 4.99 to 6.99 bottle....I really like the Israli wines, but when I get a case, I get one or two as a treat
married DD posted on fb about a couple dogs at the Denver Dumb Friends league....gist of it is, since she can't get a dog, we should get another one here....she even went so "low" as to ask, wouldn't her little sister like a dog....they had a chocolate lab she posted, then 2 St, Bernard puppies that want to be placed together!!! I miss my Berners, but just not ready to get another dog....we enjoy Noah's dog Bear so the house isn't empty of 4 legged family...
Time to join the partay and finish up my wine!!! Hugs...

Sounds like a HUGE welcome back partay is in order! Welcome back Junie! Welcome back Beanie!
What's the name of the movie we're all talking about? I can't remember and I want to check it out and see if I can pick out the house.
A Stephen King movie, Storm of the Century, was filmed in the downtown of a little town on the island where I grew up. It's only barely recognizable in the movie!
Looks like another storm coming Wed/Thurs. I'm getting tired of this stuff.
When to get a new dog after losing one is a hard thing to figure out. For myself, I need time to grieve one before getting another, others I know get another right away. It's a personal thing, I think.
First exam for my students today, first clinical day tomorrow (12 hours, oh boy). This semester is well underway and I'm already looking forward to the first break week at the end of February!
Let's see, what would make a good DOTD for today? Hmmmm.
Happy Water!!

1 can (ice cold) Lemon Lime Soda0 -
Not much time to post, need to get in the shower. But Junie and BeanZ....WELCOME HOME! Junie you take of yourself and don't over do. Just can't have you gone again. Kathy, I have said it before.....you are an accident waiting to happen. Good Grief Girl! I have not watched the movie yet, but recorded it. So no spoilers pleeze! Stanzie, I'll post any pictures you want, not a problem. I saw you had them on Picasa, which you should be able to do, I just copy and paste the photos from photobucket. Or, I remember you said you used Firefox, maybe that's it too. Who knows, but like I said, send me anything you want.
I see our country getting ready for more terrible weather. For all you gals in the path, please be careful. Getting me and Junie a bucket of Dog Beers.......and anyone else that wants to join us.
