So far, I have had all a girl could wish for. Greetings from around the world. Toasts drunk in my honor. A dozen red roses. A bit of "dalliance". A cupcake hidden in a Starbucks oatmeal container. Even the building staff went out and got me chocolate truffles!!!
Finishing up a few things prior to heading out for the evening's festivities.

Stanzie, Missed your post, actually I ended up on the prev page and didn't even see all the posts! Yeah, I think the painting would have been better if it was a different subject and a better teacher. I will try again though. Meanwhile I think we will repaint over these canvasses on our own! HOW KEWL to see Jennifer Garner up close! I think she seems like a really nice person. That is awesome! I know they are doing that movie at your friends house, but it sounds like someone is taking pics at your house? I must have missed what that is about?
Junie, OMG that is a TON of snow!!! I think the system is breaking up a bit, at least the part of it we may get. Now we may get a dusting to 3". Bet its pretty! Time to have DH go outside and take a pic of your house for your 2011 Christmas Card! Hope you are doing better!!!

Beans, funny about the name mixups. We do dwink waaaay too much to remember anything and those with chemo brain, gosh I don't know how ya function. Beans, if it makes you feel better, I have a now funny story about brownies but I usually feel too stupid to tell it. Years ago, when my ex DH was away on bidness trip, I was out and came home weally weally drunk and decided to make brownies as there were no other sweets in the house. I decided to go upstairs and get my nighty but feel into a deep sleep, did not even hear the fire alarm going off or the tele ringing from the monitoring service. Firemen came to the house, the house was all lit and they could see all of the smoke through the three little panes of glass at our front door. One firemen was getting the ax as others were getting hoses. Another, who was a friend of DH went around back and found the door unlocked. I woke up to that friend screaming at me "what the fuckk is in the oven.....you gotta get out"! I was fine. The firemen had to bring fans into the house to ventilate. I never told my exhubby. And neither did his friend as I told him not to. The ex did find out and that is another funny story. Well I think so. message me if you wanna hear it hahahaha! Anyway, my brownies, withered away to brown ashes. Damn, I just wanted well done brownies with a crispy edge.
And our other name mishap....Karen and Karin. I also thought that we had a third one amongst us. I just wanted to give them a warm welcome. So welcome to Karin and hello to Ellie. Tenders, get all the girls a drink, on me.

Ohhhhh I see Dorothy holding that "double double" Pants brought her...the drink, Dorothy, the drink! No double meaning intended. Loved your funny post, and glad you didn't delete any of it! OMG what a scary story about the brownies....so glad you all were ok!!!! Who would think baking brownies could cause such havoc and destruction. My story isn't nearly as interesting. A long time ago when my dad was visiting, he and my late DH and I had returned from being out all day, and were sorta tired. I was going to make a cake, and was half-ass reading the instructions, as I also wanted to be in the other room in their conversation. So by the time I got to the part that said "stir by hand" I took it literally,and walked into the den holding the bowl in one hand, with my other hand IN the batter,stirring it! Did not even realize what I was doing till they said something. I was so embarrased!

Hi girlz!!!!!! Been to the dic...ooops sorry,......doc but not my usual one....mmmmm.....not a bad guy. He's going to do excisional biopsy on the scalp thingys next Tuesday and told me my balance and nausea problem was inner ear problem. Can't remember what he called it but basically it will eventually fix itself and he gave me some stemetil (sp?) to help with the symptoms. All in all a reasonable outcome and no nasty involved ......for a change. Well now.....you girls have been par=taying hard without me and I need to catch up! NM great news re the hearing and September really gives you time to load the canons! READY?...........AIM!............FIRE!!!!!!!!! Yahooo...you go girl...get him gooood!

I wasn't worried the first post onc visits. I have had three so far. I was more worried about the Internist visit as didn't want to add anything to my list of stuff to do, and fortunately escaped. The next two years will be the most worrisome as when anything nasty would be most likely to happen.
Meanwhile, I intend to make the most of life.....including more GREAT WINE. Hoping I can go skiing this weekend too, but still not sure if snow or rain for Saturday.

I have a friend who emailed me out of the blue cuz she had to have a biopsy done on a lump. She was diangosed with Atypcical Hyperplasia. I had emailed her this evening to find out how she made out as the biopsy was last thursday. When I saw that I had a message, I just stopped, prayed and opened it. This girl was a great supporter while I went through my journey and I still have goosebumps. We were hoping that it was nothing. On the bright side, it is not BC. Well I am going to do a bit of research on that and invite her to join us. I will try to remember what I wrote on my last post but am on dwink number tooo-two-to. It is Fried-day eve, wtf, time to get dwunk. Join me girts. Be back, I hope.

And by Fried-dey eve, I do mean the night before Friday. I have always spelled it fried-dey cuz I am fried by friday. Fridays are my busiest day of the week since most of my clients want to close on Fried-dey to have the weekend to move in.
I was a bit po's when I heard the new revelation on node removal. I am starting to think that the removal of my nodes is the problem with my arm pain and numbness. Although it did not surface until after exchange, from what I have reserached, I have a gut feeling that the exchange just tipped my nerve over the edge. Uhhh, another driwk for me. Then a message. Yeah,then another dwink, then a valium. And Chrissy, don;t even think about knocking me into the pool two-night, I am not getting in that hammock.

Hey Dotty, why don't you write your posts in Word and cut and paste them to BCO, that way you never need loose a post again! It works, it truly does as I sometime have problems with my connection dropping out and so I used to loose posts all over the plkace but not now cause I do them in word unless its just a gee up which is short. Dorothy.....a bit of perspective. I have also been thinking about lymph node removal. I would have loved it if they had done something like 8 and not 21. But that is 20-20 hindsight. I am so fortunate that it was ONLY ONE with it being so grossly positive.
As we go through this journey, we willl all encounter things about treatment that we would do differently, and particularly as the state of the sciences advances. However, we do the best that was offered at the time. That really is the best we can do.
BTW - I still don't have my full energy as is evident in that I still need a bit more sleep. However, before I complain about that one, I feel lucky to be in the group that usually gets a full night.
BC.org posts are only mildly annoying when I lose them. I lost several hours of work the other day when my computer locked up. YIKES. And I didn't check a table/PowerPoint slide as I was sure I had finished it. I most likely had finished it, but lost my revisions.
Fortunately, my client has lost stuff on their end too so I am OK. Really, really annoying though when you lose several hours of work and have to re-do.
Off to the ballet by way of Pagliacci Pizza. The BEST pizza, and always a treat. I need to get back to real food tomorrow. Will have some wine at the performance too. - Claire
