OMG, the darn post deleter just caught me again...sheeet! I think it disappears when I am reaching for the shift key on this teeny netbook, but when I try to recreate it, none of the keys I hit makes anything disappear. Aarrrghhhhhh....OK that is the ONLY April Fools joke my netbook better play on me! I mean, I can unplug it and put it in a box...Ha, so there!
Anyway, was mentioning all the neat pics you posted today NM! I love the dog one, as our collie Laddie, I had as a kid, would sit with a dog biscuit on his nose for however long we wanted him to. He also would "woof" in a loud sound, and go gradually down to a whisper, depending on how loud/soft we said it. He was such a smart, fun dog, but that was before leash laws, and we always suspected he fathered a lot of pups in the neighborhood! I LOVE the floating bar, darn how lazy can we get? Well, I would love to feel lazy, so will definately take advantage of that bar! And those seniors getting "frisky"...so funny...but I do hear that happens a lot, with "visiting" going on betwn residents at night...maybe not with a group though....LOL. Oh and your mom saying booze causes babies....that is a good one!!!

Chrissy, Nice you got to work in your garden! I am so glad I got the "go-ahead" to do anything I think will be ok...my PS does not know how I will take that and run with it! Can't wait to get all these plants/flowers in the ground! Have you heard of the "sweet potato vine"? It is a light green and grows low (prob no more than 6-8" or so), so makes a good ground cover here as it tolerates heat....wish it wasn't just an annual though, but I did buy several of them.
I had all these plans to start gardening, but mother nature had other ideas. I cannot believe we are getting up to 10" of SNOW today! Heck, where is spring? This is Alabama, not supposed to have snow this late, or that much of it!!!!! Better put those chains on the tires of the bus before coming this way to pick me up!!!!

No snow here, but still dismal out.
The orgy story reminds me of my great Aunt Gladys. After her husband died, there came a time when she could no longer do for herself. So she went to a small nursing home with her dog. I think she was in her early 90s then. Anyway, she and one of the old guys there were smitten and became an embarrassment to their families. So they were separated. She didn't live long after that. I always thought it so sad.
Chrissy......glad you had roses all summer long. Hoping you are in dreamland by now.
Loved all the fox pictures. Sometimes I see them cycling. I used to see coyotes regularly when I lived north of NYC. One time, there was one just the other side of our kitchen window. Not a friendly looking critter at all. Could not have been more than 4' from me.

Kathy.....nice to know that Laddie lives on. My parents had a very funny story of a neighbor's bitch who was locked in a shed because she was in heat. The male dogs in the neighborhood broke down the shed door in order to get to her. The puppies looked half-collie though, and my parents had the only male collie. Hmmmm......

Never did make it to Nordstrom... client canceled today so I have a 2 hour+ hole in my schedule... if I don't fall asleep in my car I'll be shopping.... do we need anthing for the PAR-TAY?
... I've never been much of a shopper but then I discovered SHOES! And they never make my butt look big.

Hi Ladies,
Oops, too late on the drain, it is out. It had stopped draining by Wednesday. My ps office called and cancelled my appointment for monday and moved it til tuesday. So I got my little cuticle clippers, went to the work medicine cabinet and got some sterile wipes and bandages, then went down to the 2nd floor where no one knows me and took it out. I did panic at a point when I tugged and it was not moving and it hurt like hell. But it is out, sanitized and looking good. Once I get home, I will clean it up again and put gauze on it. I could not help it, it was really stinging and feels a world better now. and I need not worry about my doc hollering at me as I am seeing another ps on Tuesday. He may not even realize that my doc did not take it out but it was well worth it. I think I did a good job keeping everything very sterile.
I am leaving for the day now and will nap once I get home. I will catch up with you lovely ladies later.

Wow, so much going on. Today I'm writing an essay on why I need a drink on April Fools Day. It starts with what must be some kinda sympathy sheeeeet for our DorK. She's concave and I grew a superboob in tha last few daze. Yup, my 3 mo post rad boobie got all swollen and hot. Proly too much yogging and yumping yacks and rolling in mud.

I just had the most wonderful thing happen. Just called the lady who broke her hip and was amazed at how well she sounded.
Yes, she is still in the hospital, but she is going to recover. She sounded absolutely herself, just a bit tired.
Still in tears as was fearing the worst. But she is on the mend. I am speechless.

So Happy April's Fools Day!!! This morning, I got up and went to my son's shower and put plastic wrap on all his Shampoo bottles then he was so sleepy he kept fogetting things so I kept running into him but finally when he was in the shower snuck in and grabbed the towels.
He comes down and pretends nothing has happened. Finally as we are waiting to leave he tries a lame attempt at " hey mom, it is 8:40 when it was 8:33" Nah, that doesn't do it, but now I know he has gottn my surprises. So as I drop them off his teacher is standing there and I ask if he has any pranks planned and his face lights up and she rubs his hands together gleaming - Oh boy I've been planning all week so I tell him about the shower and he is so hilarious - this big teddy bear of a man with earrings jumps up and down with glee thinking about my son in the shower . He happens to adore my son so that was fun.
Not realizing he had play practice, yup has to be at every rehearsal for his 1 little line.... grrr. Anyway, when its time for the kids to come home I'm hiding and ready. I have put out a dollar and am ready with material to rip as they bend over..... Well my daughter is so intent on wondering where I am she steps over the dollar 4 times and finally goes around back and sees me hiding... Well rats! So will still try and get my son...
Kathy - it didn't occur to me you had snow but as you are the traveling Queen aside from Jaybird, Goldie, Astorm, Beanie.... well you know what I mean I was going to ask where you were trying to go. Does that mean I was gotten too?
So we are off to see Music Man that my friend directed and her daughter stars in - Forgot about Friday Spring Break Traffic!!! The one year I took them out of town it took me an extra 3 hours just to get out of Atlanta and yes I have to go by expressway..... ACK!!!

Well,we did the wine tasting which was fun..you pay for it, but they had 2 tables with lots and lots of wine to sample. The pupus weren't much....bleu cheese (which I detest) and crackers. SO DH tells one of the girls working there, that the cheese had mold on it. She gets worried and starts running back to the room with the cheese platter...then she finally hears him say "April Fools"! But really, it DOES have mold....LOL. Had lots and lots of wine, then to dinner at our Thai place. Yummmmm!
Having fun at Junies PARTAY!!!! Hope we don't make tooooo much of a mess. Good pics Junie...love the one of you with the Bloody Mary! OKAY, lets make a toast to Irene's complete recovery! Here's to Irene *lifting glass*! After all, this is a drinking thread, and thats what we do best!! Met a gal at the wine tasting that is starting to learn about textiles, so she loved my blouse....then found out she has a spinning wheel, which is at the hospital in her NINETY-FIVE yr old dad's room! Wow...think he is doing ok too. And I was chatting with a young guy who my DH said looked like me and could have been my son! LOL....at least being women we KNOW which offspring we have.
Well, Junie, I see the ML truck parked outside.....as well as the catering truck, and all the wine being brought in, and likker....wow! I think Pants is jumping out of that HUGE cake, in honor of Beans' DH's birthday! What a fun party! HD hope you are getting better, but you haven't moved off of the lounge chair, so I am getting worried about you.

The deck cooled off after the sun went down so I tried to light the deck heater--about blew us all up--I'm not real good with propane tanks........ Uh-oh, someone has fallen asleep in one of the rocking chairs (passed out?). Can't tell who it is under that lamp shade.....let me run in the house and grab a blanket to wrap around her....there, now she won't freeze tonight. Good morning, Beanie! Planning anything special for DH's B-day Partay? I bet you will create a great time for him!. Please keep an eye on the radiated boobie, the swelling and heat can mean infection and that boob is more prone to infection from the radiation damage to healthy tissue. If it doesn't go away in a day or two call one of your docs.

Crappo, my internet went out last night. I am hacking into a neighbors unprotected router and I know who it is (the router name is their kids name, did not take a brain soygen to figure dat out). I am po'd, I went into my verizon account to find a telephone number to call and can't find it. What I did find is that my service went from 155.00 to 205.00 per month, someone added Stars and Showtime which I never ordered and certainly DH did not. I hate the corp world, greedy sobs. They also raised the price of my seven cable boxes a buck each, to $7.00. A buck won't kill me but sheeze, I left Comcast due to greed and now I may have to crawl back. Me thinks me has another year on the verizon contract. Does anyone know what happens if one breaks it?

Was that really a pic from your yard, Junie? It was so beautiful. And is the partay over or going all weekend? wE can have Astorm bwing the Cal. sun with her right? After all, we can do anything in our magic world.
And yes, I took me own drain out. And yes, I was on percocet at the time, shhhh, don't tell my employer that I was flying high on the job. I really did get scared at the point where the drain seemed to be stuck and let out a big old OUCH. Fortunately, our 2nd floor is the I.T. people and most are Indian and speak no English. I purposely took of my photo ID in case someone saw me. But it was an ideal OR environment, great lighting. I can say one tang, that drain was two feet long inside me, no sheet!! Me knows I should not have done it but my primary care doc seemed to agree that it is easy to remove and once I found that my doc would not be in, I was on the run. I do feel fab without that fn thing. Let's hope I have no issues. I changed the dressing last night and it was dry so I think I will be okay.
Oh, sorry I am rambling. It is jest me n my dogs, DH working. I have hair appt at 9:30am, got a call that my hair girl had a cancelation. I am glad cuz I did not want to go after work on Tuesday since I will be late arriving and should really work to make up the lost time although I have been just leaving at 5pm anyway. Me has to watch my time as I only have two days left since I used six in the past two weeks. Come June, my time off increases to 19 vacation days added to the current 6 sick days and four floating holidays. OOPS, THINK ME LOST ME CONNECTION....??

But it still doesn't beat the time you told us you won big in Tunica. Oh, and funny how you are going to punish your net book! I think you are right on the with the shift button, but I think it might be that button and another one, simotaniously. Have I ever had Sake? I thought it was Sushi, so what do you think? Stanzie, you do such neat fun things with you kids. Said it before, will say again.....you are such a special mom. (not to say the rest of you with children are not). Well, I am having too much fun to go home yet, and that breakfast was so YUMMY. So me thinks Junie's DH isn't due back until tomorrow and I KNOW Junie won't mind. Especially since we are there to babysit. Sure glad I didn't have babysitters like this for my children! Junie, does your friend that made the B&B sign, have any idea what it has done and fun it has created?

NM, The wine tasting was fun. Got it from a groupon.com deal for $20 (for 2)....regularly $40, with the glasses. BUT found out the regular tastings are just $10 ea, without glasses to take home, so will do that again. They had about 12 wines to taste...2 tables....do this on Wed and Fri. And they said a lot of regulars come, then go out to dinner. Much cheaper and more fun than just getting a drink or two at dinner. I have SO many groupon.com and livingsocial.com deals I have bought that we need to do. Have you checked them out? Not only can you get deals for your area, but any area you might travel to. Deals change every 1-2 days. Some deals are just for a few months, others exp in a yr or so. Not meaing to be so OT here, but thought the others might like these deals too, otherwise I would have sent you a PM about this. Anything to save $$$!

Today is my 3 yr cancerversary! I am so thankful it was found 3 yrs ago and today was the day I got "that" phone call. So I decide to celebrate being a 3 yr survivor of this horrid disease! Beans, did you call your nursie? Hope your boobie is okay....NM had some good info on that, so it is wise to err on the side of caution, and make sure it is okay.
Hic....ooops....did I trip on someone? Or is it another darn lampshade on the floor???? LOL. Enjoying the continued partay at Junie's house!
