Oops....we gotta get Junie's house cleaned up ASAP! Got Pants, Jocks, Hunk, and the Wenches all helping us cover up all the evidence of our no-holds barred PARTAY! Just got word that her DH is on his way home!!! SO, lets get working girlz and then skedaddle. The bus dwiver is getting everything ready for us, so all we will have to do is hop on and then be "On The Road Again"! Will chat more later, but my arms are full of garbage bags full of ML cans, wine bottles, likker bottles, some of Pants' clothes (whoops~!), etc. Junie, thanx for being the hostess-with-the-mostest! Let us know when DH decides to go out of town again....if he ever will trust leaving you with the house again! Many thanks, it was a BLAST!

Toodles....getting my butt onto the bus.....

    Hi Loungettes!

Late to the partay as usual.  I have missed you all!!  Been busy trying to get back into work and establish some sense of normalcy around home.  Futile.  Working part-time was great and I wish I could continue because it was such a comfortable pace and still able to get other things done with home/family.  But I'm the only breadwinner so full-time it is.

I had my ovaries out on March 11th; laparoscopic so it was minimally invasive.  They actually open up the belly button and then make 2 tiny incisions.  Took two weeks off work and then went back full-time on the 28th.  That was going fine until I picked up a flu bug somewhere and ended calling in sick yesterday.  Blech.  I am really sick and tired of being sick and tired.

The only thing that still bothers me consistently is my port scar.  It itches sometimes and I've been suing vit. e on it which does help, but I still hate it.  May end up getting a tattoo to cover it up some day.

My hair is growing in ever so slowly.  I keep meaning to get a new picture but it has to be with makeup and earrings otherwise I look like a boy.

Haven't had a chance to read back and catch up on all you party girls.  Hope all is well!

uHHH Ohhhh, me tinks one of the neighbor's called Junie's DH and told on her. One word....deny deny deny.  WHAT partay??  But really, that was fun. I did crack up over the lampshade hats.

I was just vacuuming the swimming pool as it is a mild 51 here today. I was thinking about our party last night and what a blast it would be to have us all together for wheel.

And a big hello to Mrs. Nice. Sorry you have been under the weather and hope you feel better. The boys will fix you some soup and some tea, just let them know if you want it spiked.

Beans, glad you showed up last night, it was great seeing you. I am glad you are getting your titty checked out - glad it is better today.

Astorm, you were funny last night. It was fun having a beotch-bash over men and what aholes they can be. And I have to agree with Beans and Co, you really do take great care of your kids despite life's ups and downs. I can hear the love of them when you post even when you are not happy with them. Kids are a wonderful blessing.

Stanzie, I say we have the next bash at your house. We promise that your lampshades will be safe. Was that pic in the album that I "did not see" of your house or the home in the movie? It was white and just darling.

Kymn, were are you? I hope you are doing well. I was thinking about you too today when I saw a pic on facebook of pink leopard shoes. There is an annual event in my home town called Sports Night where all the girls of the school break into teams, Marroon and White. One of the skits they did had the gals in pink leopard. The tradition of sports night was sports only but over the years they added jazz performances, dance, and little skits along with the sports competitions.  It is a two night competion. It was a very exciting time for me in high school many moons ago.

Got to go and get back to the swimming pool. I wish my temp was perfect like the water in our lounge pool. I want to clean up enough to get the solar cover on and get the temps a rising. I am hoping to be in that pool soon. It is bound to warm up one of these days. I am starting to think that Al Gore fixed the global warming thing lol.

Cheeers, lampshades and tidd up, way up...one or two, may they all rise as we lift our drinks.

Love you ladies, thanks for being here for me and giving me support and laffs too. And likker.

God Bless each of you good girls~~~~~

hey girlz--thanks for the super clean up job!  DH arrived early for tax appt and they took him first!  And, bless his heart--when he called to tell me he'd got an early start back home, the next thing he asked me was did I have a big party last night?   I burst out laughing and said I'll tell you about it when you get home.   I was still laffin when I hung up the phone--does that guy know me, or what?

Dork--that really is the view from our back deck and those really are my daffydils, and my glass of wine, and the skinny old broad with the Bloody Mary really is me!!!!  LOL!   Lori--yes, Pancho went to "camp" while DH was gone.   Time for his annual physical/shots, etc.

Wahine---I bought into your snow story--the way the weather has been, nothing surprises me!

I think I might have been speaking fluent Beanglish last night!   What a great time!   Maybe some day we can make it happen for real.

Mrs. Nice--good to hear from you again.  Sorry you gotta be working full-time but try to squeeze in a few minutes to visit us.   We worry when we don't hear from someone for a long time!!!

gotta run--have a roast in oven and need to throw some veggies in.  TTFN--BBL.....big hugggsssss to ALL                                bottomsup!!!!

Time for Happy Hour again! YAY! Always something nice to look forward to at the end of the day. I think I got all the likker outta my system from last night, and so I am anxious to try NM's After The Party Drink! Oh wow Pants anticipated this and is walking that drink over to me right now. Whoooppppeeeee! Well after leaving Junies, I have worked ALL DAY in the yard...know I did too much as I was digging and set in some 12" blocks, and pavers, plus lots of weeding, and some mulching. Hoping to do the planting tomorrow. Although my back is killing me, I don't think I pulled anything in my surgery areas.

Loved all your pics NM....always right on the money! And your passed out pussy Beans...that was funny too. Beans, you are getting snow/rain....yuck! How much snow did you get NM? I have no idea how sometimes whatever I hit makes the type real big! If I wanted to make it big I would not know how.

Just saw that scare with part of the roof of the plane coming off....yeeeeyikes! So glad we know you don't fly for SW, Jaybird! But it sounds like they think ALL the 737's should be checked? How scary for those on that plane, and glad no one was hurt!

Oh Lori, I was hoping you would have forgotten that time I pretended I won big in Tunica....at least until you scrolled WAAAAY down the page! That was fun though!

Mrs.Nice, Glad you joined us in the lounge today! Sawwry you  missed the big partay though...it was a blast! Sorry too, about all the probs you have been having. I had my hyster done the same way they took out your ovaries...back in 1994. Amazing what they can do, nowadays! Hope you will be able to stay awhile this time...we gotta catch up on all the gossip at least!

Claire, Hope Irene is doing well. Sounds like she was healing, so I hope that continues!

Told the neighbor about the wine tasting we went to last night...she had not heard of it either...like a well-kept secret!

Dorothy, Hope you got the pool all cleaned...we may just show up THERE when you get some warmer weather! Good idea to have our next partay at Stanzie's house, but maybe we should ask her first? LOL. NO, that pic was not her house, it was the movie house, and can't remember if it was how they had it for the movie, or how it really is. Her house is very grand! Why don't you start thinking of somewhere we could ALL meet? I am game for it....I know we are spread all over the country, and our CANADA gals and our AUSTRALIA gal might have to be there via skype or something. But please do think about it! I would love to meet you all in person!!! The lampshades were so much fun....!

Well girlz, I am missing those of you that are not here today....HD sure want you to pop in here and let us know how you are doing! And chrissy, where are you? Oh yeah, in OZ......but still I miss you being HERE!

    Love and Hugs,

    Kathy

Guess we need to think of a dwink that has pure maple syrup in it. Scientists just discovered that it is full of anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatories which help fight cancer and heart disease. Hey, this is just in time for Pants to get some for our Sunday Brunch tomorrow! Now we can indulge in pancakes/waffles with pure maple syrup and do something good for ourselves at the same time! LOL. Can't wait for our Sunday brunch......

Good grief ladies, I take one day off for chemo and I can't keep up! I'm so glad the bus stopped by Nebraska at my chemo site, but am afriad I fell asleep during the Benadryl drip and missed most of the fun! My drink this morning was a prune juice spritzer, but all is well now. Tongue out

Chemo was an 8-5 adventure, won't bore you with the details but all went well. Today I took a shower and a clump of hair was in the shower drain, circling like a drowning baby mouse, so had stylist friend come over and she shaved it. Now have my cute blonde wig on. Have not shared the "real" me with husband or son yet, but it wasn't as traumatic as I expected. Just surprised at how dark it really was. I was blonde (with some highlight assistance) in September. My husband thinks the trauma of two surgeries, chemo, stress, probabably affected my hair follicles and I tend to agree. So wig is the color I really was not all that long ago and I am liking it so far. No tears, but have only looked once in the mirror. That will come I'm sure, but a relief to have it gone. I feel like GI Jane and have Kymn and others to thank for leading the way for me to do this on my terms. What would GI Jane drink? Straight up whiskey? Never liked whiskey, but maybe that's what I need right now. Just a shot of straight up whiskey. Who is that bar boy again??!!

Husker, Pants is handing you a shot of Crown Royal....dwink up....you are an official GI Jane now! Good for you...that must have been so hard to do. I have a lot of admiration for those of you that shave their head ahead of time! I think I will have Pants keep sending you dwinks all night, you deserve it, girlfriend! Toasting to your new look right now! Bottoms Up!

Husker - Good Job!!! Glad it wasn't as bad as you thought! I still know it was hard.

Whoever asked - Kathy is correct as she has been here - might not be good if she didn't remember.... but then we'd know why - wine wine wine.... No that isn't my house, it was a house down the street and nope my house didn't get the commercial. Rats would have liked them to build a cute tree house in the yard. Sigh Oh well - not meant to be.

My friends arrived. Love seeing the little one who is only 6!!! So cute! The others are just turned 9 and 12! Fun Fun!!! Love kids!

Let's see one of my kids is whipping up Choc. Chip Cookies, the other watching Music Man you-tube songs and the other listening to music. Quiet night. I was going to try and make my first crepes but it helps ever so much if you have milk. So perhaps tomorrow.

Oh shoot something I wanted to say from last page. I vote they fix it so we can go back and forth between pages....

So, I like lamp shades.... funny pictures. Junie - hilarious your DH asked about the party!!! Kathy I agree it would be so fun to all weally meet in poison!

I so need Pants to give me a long long looooong massage especially my tight back scars - we'll see how strong those big hands really are as my back is very tight and in desperate need. So what to drink - it was so pretty here today a little cool but really a perfect spring day - I'm voting for a G. and T  with lime of course for the health benefits and certainly wouldn't want rickets as Claire would scold me about not getting enough veggies.

AStorm are you under the table trying to hide from all the tax forms. My tax guy called me this morning and I couldn't resist I picked up the phone as asked if he was aware it was Saturday morning? He replied only two words - tax season. My taxes won't be as horrible as thought in fact even some good news! Whew !!! Always a relief as since my Mom died occasionally I'm still hit with some late found taxes which is just so horrible but he thinks we are finally over all that! Yay so time to Celebrate!!!

Yay, got our two Kathy's in the same room, kewel.

Stanzie, it does sound like lots of fun at your house. Sorry about the milk. And it was me axing about your home. I would love to see pics of your gardens and fountains, I do remember that Kathy was there and reading her desciption of your grande estate.  Sorry about getting turned down, keep on trying - seems your hood is quite popular for Hollywood and seems to me that your home is more grand than the others chose in the past. Keep trying. And Cheers to you on good news on the IRS front!!

Pants is just finishing up with Husker, he gave her the full hour message, let's find out how good his hands REALLY are. We could ax Junie but me thinks me is supposed to portend last night never happened. As someone once said, "what happens at the lounge, stays in the lounge"...I vote that also applies to extra curricular outta lounge activity.

Well I am feeling the need to hit the Chapel tonight and say some prayers. I start with my family, then you girls, then my friends and coworkers, then for my enemies (no HD, I am not THAT mad that you have not checked in, I still pray for you as a friend.....). Then I shall pray for patience when I again try to deal with my internet issues....still hacking into a neighbor's connection; I have given up in dealing with the issue today. Bless you all....mo cheers, less fears.  mo beers no fears,  less pain, less rain! K, I ain't no poet....

Peace out mi' girly-scouts!! Bottomz up, big bottomz, lil bottomz.

Ahhhhh....massage was wonderful. Have been wanting a massage for weeks, onc said no, but accupuncture was okay...haven't checked that out yet. But this one....ahhh this one. I'm in heaven and will have to be carried to bed between the massage and the drinks. Not a bad way to end the evening. I am feeling quite sporty in my new blonde do, may just have to sleep in it (eh-probably not) But my husband and son like the new look and color. And they are the ones that have to live with me, so a pretty good endorsement. I'll flash 'em the GI Jane look soon enough. And then they'll remember who's boss around here! (had to take a temporary break from strong woman in charge for a bit, but I think she's back if the SE's stay at bay!)

Thanks for all the good wishes. Y'all have fun tonight!

And where is our other new friend, I think it is Kristy? Or is that Husker? There is another one new gal missing. I can't help but thinking of you girls when you nessapear. I still think of the gal who visited us the first time after getting a dwi/dui just after her first chemo class. I wish I could go back and look. Stanz, it IS a pain in the arse that we can't surf prior pages while writing.

OK, don't mean to take over here with my rant of nonsense. It is saturday night and it is jest me n my dogs. And Pants, Jocks, Candy and ihhh, where is Hund?? Oopsies, I think Hunk is hiding in Junie's closet, we scared him last night and last I saw him, he was rocking in a corner while sucking his thumb. i hope he snapped out of that, I did not see him on the bus. Yikes! And speaking of Junie's DH and him axing about the partay-he so funny. I hope he gets it. I'd guess that of all of our DH's, he gets it more than most.... I weally like him, I say he should get the honour of HTH "DH of da Year"!! Anyone second that???

Oops, Kymn, I missed your message before I replied. I haven't showered yet. I put that wig on straight away. I took one this morning, pre-cut, and that was not fun. But will let you know tomorrow. My friend reminded me to use just a tiny bit of shampoo or I'd have suds and bubbles everywhere! But I was shocked that my hair was so dark when it was cut off. I have always been a natural blonde (enhanced by highlights to cover the gray), but my daughter was married in September so I have the pictures to prove it. Since I wasn't able to touch up, it got darker. My husband thinks the trauma of the news, two surgeries, and chemo affected the hair follicles. My eyebrows are still blonde. So when this is over, I will return to blonde. My wig makes me feel like the former, pre-canser me. Hope it doesn't drive me crazy when it gets warmer. I will wear it at work for sure, but have scarves at the ready for home. also those survivor head covers. Can't think of the name of them. darn chemo brain!

Dorothy, Husker and Kristy are one and the same! Now you've seen me three times. But I'm done now. I'm trying to get stuff down while I feel good for at least today. Did three loads of laundry and ran the dishwasher. Husband is so happy. Don't worrry, dear husband, my motivation to stay up on ALL the housework I used to do while working FT will fizzle out soon. Like tomorrow. Sleeping in and watching movies all day if I get my way. And I will Laughing

Not hiding.  I did something stupid with my VAIO earlier today so off to Staples in the AM.  Using my old Dell right now which fortunately works.  Right now, it's downloading a gazillion updates.  YIKES.

Glad I have a backup system.

Got in one final ski today.  Bath next.  Stopped by the egg place and got farm eggs on the way back.  Dropped off a dozen with a friend.

The good news (says she optimisticly) is that all should be fine once I get my VAIO fixed.  Has needed attention for some time, and did I do it??? NO!!!!

Skiing was great, and fortunately decided not to do the full deal, so about 7 miles as opposed to 12.  I was so done at the end, and things were going downhill.  Then a very wet drive back.

Having a glass of port now....cab in a little while.  Just needed something stronger.  Glad everyone is well, and I can offer up eggs with ORANGE YOLKS for breakfast.  Just delish. - Claire

OMG, this is one busy place. You girls that check in several times a day, just amazes me. I cleaned for half the day, then played in my garden. I'm stll trimming stuff back. But it was beautiful day, 80 and sunny with a bit of breeze. Today sunny, 70 and wind advisories!

Junie, that me laugh about your DH, I hope he gets a kick out of your story. MrsNice, welcome back. I wish you would have told us about your surgery, we have came to you. Dorothy, I think the gal that had the dui, I think her name was Husky something, and yes there was another newbie, but can't think of her name without going back to look. And Stanzie, I SOOOO agree it would be nice to be able to go back to other pages while posting and not lose our post. I wonder if anyone has ever asked the moderators if that was possible. Dottie, how is your non titty doing? Beans, I'm glad you are still gonna go and get yours checked. Husker, congrats on getting head shaved, it is a big milestone. I always fell asleep during that benadryl drip too. I forget, was that your first chemo? Kymn, you have yours this week? Thursday? Astorm, we see you under that table! NM, I am almose certain you helping the boys get our Sunday Buffet together. I'll think I'll have some champagne and try it Kathy's way, with a little peach schnapps in it. Then I will try, just try, some sake. No, I have never had it. It is warm wine?

I guess I owe everyone with children, an apology. I cetainly didn't mean that anyone was not a good mom. I just thought Stanzie's story was so cute. I know all of with children are wonderful mothers. So I apologize if I hurt anyones feelings.

Husker, here is a video of the lounge, The HTL, short for The Hot Tatties Lounge. We have had some renovations since the video was made and some additions, but you will get it! Just click on the link below.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA1oe_ER96s

I know there was more I wanted to say, but forget! Go figure! Think I need some more champagne and peach schnapps. Thanks again Junie for the fab party!

    Morning Girlz!

Hi Lori! Looks like you and I get first choice of all the goodies this morning! NO....not Pants and Jocks, the food and dwinks! I think I'll pass on sake in the morning though! Most are served warm, but there are some varieties that are served cold. I enjoy it the most when I am having asian food, not just for happy hour. I don't think anyone would have been offended by your comment on Stanzie being a good mom! I agree with you, even though I know you also raised your kids well, as did I, and the others. It is refreshing nowadays to find good moms like the ones on our thread! One of the things I think is funny is that (and I may have told this b4) when we would get crab legs, I would cook them and then put newspapers on the floor and the girls and I would have a "picnic", when they were young. Of course this was because the mess could be contained...duh! One time my late DH's friend came home with him while we were on the floor eating crab and thought that was so nice of me to do that. And my kids, to this day, think that was such fun! And I only did it to make it easier for ME! LOL.

Oohhhhhhh I see such a nice buffet spread out for us! I am hoping NM can find a good pic of it. I also see Claire's orange eggs there. I agree they are prolly sooooo yummy. When we lived on the side of the mountain and had a farm, the neighbor above us had some guinea hens. When my late DH saw them make the trek downhill, into our barn one day, he got a golf ball and set it in there. That was all they needed! After that, we always had fresh eggs from those hens. And b4 that I had never had such fresh eggs b4, or any guinea eggs, and they were the best buttery-tasting eggs I have ever had! But it was so cute to see them make their trek down to our barn almost every day....neighbor must have wondered why he wasn't getting so many eggs....LOL. Served him right...he should have had them fenced in! That same neighbor also had a couple of angora goats...and they were so beautiful with that long white hair! We just had horses, and dogs and a cat and cockatiels and a parrot!

OK, so much for my long-winded story! Enjoying champagne w/ peach schnapps with Lori. How do you like it? I love it, cause you know I have that BIG sweet tooth! Bon appetit!

    Ciao Down!

    Kathy

Oh Wahine, I missed that you are having a three year cancerversary, congrats to you. I guess I stop bitching about my recon taking so long. God love you girl.

Hi Karen, yes, meeting up would be so awesome.  And I bet if we found a hotel, they would never have us back again after what we did to Junie's house.

Lori, don't be silly, you did not offend anyone about your comment to Stanzie. And if you did, it is their issue. So nice to see you and Kathy here so early in the morning. It is a lovely day here, currently at 45 degrees but going up to 60, yeah!

Non-titty is doing well and healing nicely. It is worth not having the shitty thing as it hurt so bad and feels a world better. I was able to vacuum most of the pool yesterday and will finish up today. Pool party anyone? Me and my pool have a love/hate relationship but for now, it is all love. It is so pretty and I can't wait to again have an outdoor fire poolside. DH does not love the outdoors as I do but will sit with me if I promise him favors.

And I never did mention my april fool pranks from the past.  The best was when I had all of my co-workers hide when the boss came in and one by one, we all called out sick, six of us. We all come out of hiding and said April fools. The boss took it well. He even tld me that he thought he saw my car in the lot but then figured someone else had the same car.

Ok, so my internet connection is back, was out since Fried-dey night. After calling all day yesterday and going through diagnostics and playing with my router, i got a human on the phone from India who told me that there is an outage in the area. So much ag, I was on the phone three times trying to get tech assistance and this moron machine kept telling me to push this, do that, unplug this etc. It would have been nice if their system recognised that there was an issue on their end as soon as I entered my phone number and before I spend three half hour sessions on the phone screaming at the computer voice!  Ughhh.  It is good to have my own connection and not to be hacking into my neighbors weak connection lol. Hey, what are neighbors for lol.

    Cheers!
