Kristy, glad you liked the video. Gives you a little more perspective on The HTL. NM, I'm sorry you got sick, we shall let Jocks pamper you to your hearts content, Beautiful buffet, I just knew you had the Tenders under control! Sounds like you have a busy few days, hope you are feeling better for all that you have going on. Kymn, your hair won't fall out all at once, you will more "shed". But totally agree that it would suck if your hair didn't fall out! Every time I went outside, I would give my head a good rub to get the loose hairs out. I could see them if the sun hit it just right. I have also seen where girls use a lint roller! I guess you missed the video earlier, as I had posted it for you, so I thought you had seen it. But our lounge makes so more sense after you watch it. Dorothy, I am so glad you are feeling better and the pain is subsiding. Did you say you have to wait 3 more months to try again? Thanks for the kudos on the video, it take some time as I had to go back pages and pages to look for photos and then save them. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed. But so much more has happened and been added to our lounge. I doubt I will ever be able to make a part 2. And you have your beautiful face in your avatar. I think I have seen the pictures you are referring to, whey you and DH went out. Let me tell you girls, Dort doesn't need Pants, Jocks or Hunk. (if ya catch my drift!) Karen, I see Denver got hit with snow, are you near there? Gail, what an absolutely wonderful day you had, sounds so wonderful. Until you got to the part of having to cut your DD's hair. I hope she is feeling better, and hope it wasn't picked up at a club. That would be just awful! And NO, you are NOT a bad mommy. You did what you had to do, especially if her hair was that bad. You too are wonderful mother. Sounds like Stanzie is sitting pool side and trying to post.....gheesh, the nerve of her! J/K, Stanzie. Happy for you that your crepes turned out, sounds yummy. Great cold remedy Beans. How are your allergies doing? I'm still waiting for mine to subside. I think they are letting up and I get a day where I sneeze all day long! Kathy, you are going shopping when I go to bed! Hey Ms Twinkie, hope you are feeling filled today! Ha ha, get it? And no more like an empty Twinkie. Loved your term "baldazzling" that's a good one. Oh yes, Junies comment on the earrings was a good one too. Junie, you better not go outside, or that wind will take you with it! Long Island Iced Tea...........YUM! I'll join y'all for a few of those. Gail, I forgot about your fur baby. I hope he is doing much better, and no serious or permanent damage to his eye. Hey Chrissy....a big hello to you! Kathy, good news on the 3 years and congrats. I am there too.

Well, got our first hummingbird yesterday, spring is official for us when we get our kids back (that's what we call the little guys, "our kids") but it got down to 24 degrees last night, so I'm thinking all my lettuce I planted died. I had no idea the temps were going to drop like that. Well, I better go, this has taken me over an hour to read and post! Actually an hour and a half! TTFN and Tiddup!

Oh Beans, hope you didn't ruin your key board!

Hey Gail and maybe Kymn too, I was thinking of your story about your daughters hair this morning when I was showering. When I wash my hair, I use conditioner after shampooing. Leaving the conditioner in while I finish showering. Then when I'm done washing, I stick my head in the water just for second, and then use a wide tooth comb to comb it out while still in the shower, with the conditioner still in it. The tangles just glide right out. Then rinse. I wrap a towel around my head, no rubbing so as not to cause more tangling. Then when I go to comb it out, there are hardly any tangles at all. But I do wash my hair daily, not sure if your daughter does or not. Hope this helps a little.

Dorthy - thanks for the DOTD - well done. LIIT used to be my favorite! The theory was that if you make it your first drink, you can drink anything you want the rest of the night without mixing.

Lori - I removed every plant from my herb garden except the huge pineapple sage cuz the hummers like it. We have them pretty much year-round. Thanks for the tip on the hair tangles, but DDs condition was beyond hope. Have you heard of "dread locks"? That is basically what we were dealing with and I suspect it may have been intentional as dreads are popular here. Her hair tangles so bad that I bought a "take down" detangler for her to use all the time and we tried that with very little success. She is so lucky that she has tons of hair - you can't even tell I had to make so many cuts (I made lateral cuts through the masses but she wanted me to just cut off the whole thing!).

Beanie - well... Claire didn't exactly say what happened to her PC... that's why I rely on fukitol before noon...

Well it's not even 11AM yet and people are calling my business line... doesn't everyone drink on Sunday anymore?

    My keyboard is just fine.

However, I did a combination of stupid things on my other one:

    • Didn't get an ongoing glitch fixed
    • Didn't back up my system when I had the chance
    • Didn't go back to the right restore point with System Restore

It finally rebelled and wouldn't boot up.  I am hoping that they will be able to boot up my system so I can retrieve my files.  Then I think I will need to reload everything.  ARGH....  If I can retrieve my files, I will offload my work ones two ways so have the the stuff I need for the future.

    ARGH!!!!!!

At least I have a good deal of what I need on this computer and I had sense enough to keep it, not donate it as I was tempted to do. - Claire

Kymm....get a lint roller as you will need one when you start shedding.  Mine did not fall out all at once, more like over about 10 days.  The good news is that you can totally rock uber short on the other end, which I think will be about September.

Goldie - thanks for the keyboard concern...does seem to be okay (and I know you know that I was kidding about the vodka, but not the OJ). You do deserve kudos over and over for the video, it is so so so fantastic and fun, I love it.

Kymn - such good advice from Goldie and how nice Wahine got U a lint roller and Claire, such a good reminder that you can rock uber by Sept! The time will fly and I know you look gorgeous no matter what's on your head.

AStorm - wow, what a pic, reminds me of when my (blond, straight-haired) niece did dregs when she was at UCSC...and good advice to stick to fukitols B4 noon, thanks!

Wahine - now, I'm I falling into another trap if I believe your tornado watch post? j/k, it sounds scary so please do take care and be safe!

DorK - great DOTD, I really enjoyed it with my vodka/oj and fukitols this am.

NM - Hope you are feeling bettah soon and can have a beeah with us.

Chrissy - good to see ya here and thanks again for the well wishes, I gotta say I'm gettin there, much improved and hope you are doin great!

Karen, Junie, Stanzie, HD, and all the other regulars, when's the next partay? Is it Thursday on the bus to be with Kymn for #2??? Well, DorK and I will be gettin the likker stocked again and give Pants the okay to buy a lot more booze, likker and extra rye! See ya'll for happy hour!

Whew, it got hot in the closet! Had tornado warnings, hail, strong thunderstorms. Now its just raining and thundering. No, Beans, this was not a joke, but now I am afraid you won't believe anything I say! LOL. I do take cover with tornado warnings...DH wanted to drive to the exercize rm in the clubhose which is below ground, but I had already put the furbabies in the garage, so that would have been difficult. But he wouldn't join me in the closet....I did bring in TWO chairs! Sheesh! Before the rains came it looked like a snowstorm.....all the white and pink blossoms were flying around so fast, as we had very high winds too. I am thinking our cherry tree might be sans blossoms now! Stanzie are you expecting this later on? I think we will have storms till midnight or so. And oh great, now the tv is out from the darn satellite losing power!  Can't wait till the 2 yrs is up....then back to cable.

Will ketchup later....hope all you loungettes are doing well! I did read all the posts this am, but have been busy today. Take care! I think this storm and others are hitting sooooo many states. Whew....another LOUD clap of thunder.

      Ciao!

      Ok, third attempt...

Kymn - you have such a great attitude. Glad you haven't lost your fence of humor.

Beanie - you give words to my greatest fear... much as I'd like DD2 to stick around, I hope she doesn't choose UCSC for that very reason! I think that rasta mahn is a professor at USCS.

Kathy - sorry bout your weather... sending you some sunshine cuz its 76 degrees here. Good thing your pc has a battery or you'd be MIA. We have power fluctuations here a lot... just enough to trip the surge protector on the server and router so I come home to "MOM! Someone broke the Internet!" (wish I had that kind of power), or "I keep clicking PRINT but the %^*$! printer won't print and I have a paper due tomorrow!" (well, how about plugging the printer cable into your pc and using the Local Printer option I installed for this very purpose?)... or "Honey, did you pay the cable bill?" (well if I didn't, that football/baseball/basketball/volleyball/soccer/tennis match you are watching wouldn't be on)...

Taking WD for a walk in this beautiful weather! Anyone watching Dancing With the Stars tonight? I haven't watched at all this season so don't even know who is on but I like to watch once in awhile so I know what MIL is talking about.

Gail and Kymn, Joining you in watching DWTS. Someone (Beans? NM?) suggested watching tv on big outdoor screens so we can lie by the pool (or in it) and watch it together. I think Kirstie Alley is doing great too, and I know those pounds will really fall off of her. She is my age....scary thought! Just saw the emotional dance dedicated to this mother (the wrestler)....omg I had tears too...glad there is kleenex handy. Still raining and thunder and lightning.....

Gail, you cracked me up with your story about the power outage and quoting your family. Sorry, you prolly don't think it is funny but the way you wrote it had me laffing. And guess what? It is now 72 degrees here, so delightful.

I am watching DWTS and also watch just to see Kirsty. I have to give her a lot of credit for getting out there.  I've always liked her and think her personality is so bubbly.  She is the only "star" that I recognize.

Kymn, give DH a smack upside the head, hold back on him then make up (wink). It could be fun if you plan it just right! And perhaps he will learn a lesson.  I agree with your statement "men".

Lori, you are so kind to say such nice things. And I think my DH is a cutie....that is until he opens his mouth lol. I told DH what you said and he sucked it up. He is washing my kitchen floor while I hang in the cave watching tv. You should get cable in your greehouse/cave. Or just get wireless and use the PC, I bet you are not a big tv person, like our Claire whom I believe does not own one.

Kathy, so glad you are all alright. I was thinking about you early whenI saw the national weather early am but then got busy at work and forgot to check. Whew, scary stuff!! It is gorgous now but we are under storm warnings then the cold front, eeeck!  Time for some warm weather.

Stanzie, I did think about you and the kids in your pool when I turned on the filter this morning. My water temp is now a wooping 58. Ugh, wish I was in a warmer climate.

NM, I hope you feel better. It was a pleasure to post my very first DOTD!  I had little time to be original but I hope I did you proud. We will see you wed night which is soon, because today is not monday.

Beanie,  glad your keyboard is alwhite.Whewww, me thinks that you really did have vodka and that is what saved it. I killed two laptops due to spills in a matter of months. When I got this one, I bought the warranty which covers spills. I think that is nearly up, it covers it for 3 yrs. Murphys Law says I will kill this the day after the warranty expires. But I used to dwink a whole lot more back then. If you can believe it, it is true. I used to stay up late and this time of year would be playing in the yard until Midnight while dwinking the entire time. Yup, BC killed my wheel fun. Well I better shut up and help you load the bus. It is nice of us to volunteer, I don't think the tenders know that we also load our car trunks with likker!

HD, hope you are feeling better.

Hi Karen, Claire, Kristy, Junie (and Junie's DH too), and my doll-king Chrissy too. I hope all you girls are well and happy tonight!

      Peace to all!

Dropping by ladies.  Moved my next week onc appointment back one month.  No biggie, but need to be in sync with the studies.  No more blood work!!!!  YAY.

They are just watching me and that is just fine.  I think I will be having a bone scan this time around.

One of my friends said this morning that he wants a "refund on spring".  Still nasty here.  Glad I got in my skiing/training ride over the weekend or I would be crawling the walls by now.  Forgot to mention that the cherry blossoms were beyond stunning yesterday.

I found a perfect wine with a title for those "romantic interludes".  It's called "O".  Now there is one I can drink to!!!

Best news of all is that Irene is walking!!!!  Yes, she needs to use a walker, but she has been able to start the whole habilitation.  She really is on the mend.  So grateful for that. - Claire

Kathy - yes we are are in a tornado warning and high wind advisory till midnight. so far just a lot of wind. We have a basement we can go hide in but as always very scary!!! I hate this time of year with tornadoes and lightning. I was in a tornado as a child and 4 hours after signing the contract on this house a mini- tornado knocked down all the trees in the front yard. It was horrible ! Now we are on the "top of the hill" so we are the most vunerable.... I won't sleep tonight worrying....

NM Feel better!!! Hate it when any of us are feeling bad... makes me worry.

Ok I see there is another page which I have missed ..... whew love having house guests but can be tiring my son now understands as the 3 kids have all fallen " in love" with him and he is overloaded and exhausted..... funny but sweet.

Beans, thats a riot! A dwunk keyboard....I think I have heard it all now (or have I?). LOL....you always make me laugh. Dorothy, we still are having thunderstorms, and now apparently there is flooding....we have had so much rain the past couple of weeks, so everywhere is saturated. I am more worried about Stanzie right now, as she is still under tornado warnings. Sooooo scary, but glad you have the basement! When we lived on the mountain, our house was 1-story, but because of the slope, under the house was bricked, and very tall (parts of it 8' I think), but just dirt. However since we had seen a SNAKE in there once, I was always terrified of going under there. I don't mind an interior closet on lower level, but DH thinks under the clubhouse is the safest place. Once recently,he took us there and forgot the key and so we were stuck outside against the bldg with tornado warnings! I do respect the warnings, though!

Boy what a tearjerker those emotional dances were, tonight! Me thinks we should have that pitcherful (each) of Dorothy's dwink of the day! Yummmmmm......sounds good! Sawwry I haven't commented on many of the posts, I did read them, then of course I don't have time right then to comment, and then of course I forget! Aaaarrggggghhhhhhh.....but how bout if I have Pants bring everyone a dwink? Hope your WD is okay, Gail. And that you made it through today, NM, and that you are feeling better. SO many sickies right now...HD you are better, right?? And Karen, hope you are doing alright. Kymn, sorry the hair is really coming out now....good thing you cut it off first....you will triumph over your hair! OH, that sounded weird, but I meant you are stronger than your hair, and also cancer. You will conquer it all!

Will twy to mustard later (or ketchup),

I read the posts, but then I don't remember who wrote what...some nigths are harder to focus than others and tonight is one of them....  So just going to wish everyone sweet dreams and a good Tuesday....Hugs, Karen

*%#@*$*$*$#$@!!!!   just lost another one of my long, eloquent posts!   Serves me right for beig so rambly!

I think I hit something as I was cussing out UCON for winning the final 4.    Wanted Butler to win 'cause UCON knocked our KU Jayhawks out.....can't walk and chew gum at the same time!

c-c-c-co l d here but the wind has died down and the torrents of rain have stopped.   Stanzie and Wahine--be safe!!!   I am terrified by tornadoes--have only been in one years ago but had a basement to go to--heard that freight train sound and ended up with a new roof on that house.   We can see so far from our deck and we watch some magnificant storms move in.   Have actually watchd a few funnel clouds trying to form off in the distance--awesome to watch but terrifying at the same time.

I hadn't heard of the lint roller until long after I was through tx.   I did shave my own head when it started falling out...I could just pull a handful out and that freaked me out so went ahead and shaved it.   After a couple of showers and wipes of head with a washrag, wasn't anything left.   Now, here's how naive I was--when onc told me I'd lose my hair I just assumed he meant on my head......I was astonished when my pubes washed off in the shower.   More amazed when I noticed that I no longer had any hair on my forearms.....then, checked my usually hairyhadtoshaveoften legs--bald as my head.........AND, no nose hair......but, what REALLY got to me--and you younger gals prob don't have this problem--but I was 52 and getting lots of the old age brown spots/freckles on the backs of my hand and arms.......A/C chemo made them disappear!     I have a friend here who did chemo for a lung cancer and his age spots went away too.   Every time we see each other, we check out each other's hands and laugh!!!

Now, before I grab my dog beers and head for the hot tub here's a little more food for thought.   It cmes from old times; maybe pioneer days.....think I first heard it from my grandmother......

Man may work from sun to sun...But, woman's work is NEVER done......

BARMEN to that.    Bottomsup and tidds any which way!!!!

      big hugggssssss to ALL.

Junie, if I find I;m getting a bit rambly and the post has grown a bit long winded, I copy and paste it into word and complete it there so I don't somehow loose it.  When done, I just copy/paste it back to the reply post area in whatever thread I'm answering.  Give it a try........I rarely loose posts now and if I do it's because I haven't taken my own good advice.......hoooohahahaha.....LOL!!!  Sound like I'd love to stand on your balcony and take pics of oncoming storms.....Loooooove storms!!!!   Loooooove storm clouds.......yes, I am a little nuts but that's okay.......I know you love me anyway.....hahahahaha!!!!   Ooooo, me think I've hit the bar a little hard....hic!...oops.....hic!......sorry girls.........think I need a coffee......hic!.....oh no!........I think I've got the hicups.....hic!.....dang...I hate that!   oh to doodle with the coffee.......PaNtS!!!!!! set 'em up again........er.....I think that better be out on the recliners!!!!

Junie, we were rooting for Butler too.  Ya see, DH knows that i am not a fan of basketball so he makes me sit with him while the madness is going on and we play a game called "find the  guy" lol. Butler has the most, I can say '    that. Who says white men can't jump? It is just a joke, no offense to my black friends.

'Kathy, I had to watch Kirsty fall six times, kept rewinding it to entertain myself. I can't help it but I find it very funny when people fall, whether they are dancing, skating or gymnists, I just crack up. I do feel terribly sorry for them but still laff so hard. I am glad the judges were sympathetic and gave her decent scores.  Hope the weather calms for you and also hope Stanzie and Co. are alright.

Hi Chrissy, you dwunken chickidee. Nice to see you, hope the hics go away.

Kymn, when I don't have a lint roller available, I use UPS labels from work. I mean uhh, my friend does. We are UPS's largest client in the USA and I think that they provide all of the supplies. The sticky things make the best link rollers. I just put my hand into the inside of the pouch and walaa, all lint is gone. Oh, I mean my friend does that. Just a thought. And no, I do not have my sock drawer loaded with them and I do not share them with my family lololol!!!  I am still mighty proud of you and will see you later this week for round #2.

Gail, did I miss something, is WD alright? Funny I woke up to find two of mine sleeping in a basket of dirty laundry. They are something, I had to laugh. DH is not amused nor does he think it is cute but I just love my wieners.

Well it is time to go see the covering ps and hopefully have the stitches out. Who wants to make  bet that he does not notice that I took my own drain out? It is doing great, I think I will remove the bandaid so as to not draw attention to it. It is closed and not a bit of seapage (sp)on the bandage. I am feeling even better this morning. I have come to realize that I am a lot more comfy without the bra but need to wear one to hold my fake boob. Damn, I wish I had not gotten infected and lost my hooter. I would be prancing around braless. I have noticed many of my coworkers staring at my chest, especially my boss. I flashed my stitches at a coworker yesterday, oops, I don't think she liked it.

well I am a rambling so. Gotta grab a drink, and off to the city of brotherly love (philly). glad the weather has calmed cuz I HATE driving in the city.

To all, have a fantabulous Tuesday! I hope the weather improves for those of us stuck in this terrible storm system. Love you girls muchliest, udda best gals ever.  Peace, love and smiles Laughing

Oh Kymn, if you're 8 yo is a drama queen now, I feel for ya! As for the shedding, at least you know now you aren't one that would have kept your hair. Hang in there kiddo.

Astorm, I do know what dread locks and wondered how they were achieved. If that is a fad there, there she may try again? Pineapple Sage.......beautiful plant. I had one once, of course he didn't survive the winter here, I always watch for one in the spring, but haven't seen one since my first purchase. The hummers are in southern AZ year round too. I just love the little guys, they are so much to watch. Especially when I have 10 or more at one feeder.

Awwwww  Beans, you mean you really weren't having vodka first thing in the morning? And you really didn't put vodka on your Cheerios? Shoot, you had me fooled! Love the drunken keyboard.....good excuse!

Kathy and Stanzie, hope you both weathered the storms ok. (no pun intended) We watch DWTS, but we record it. DH really just likes the female pros! The only ones I know on there are Kirsty Alley and Sugar Ray. And if you get that poster for your kitchen, I want to know the response! Sounds like Kymn needs one too!

Dort, no I am not a big tv fan, but have my shows I like. I do have wireless, and I could take my laptop out there. My wireless is not real strong out here in the mountains. I am blushing that you told DH what I said, but heck, if he's washing your kitchen floors, I'd be telling him WHATEVER he wanted to hear! Good luck at the docs today. Funny that you flashed a co worker, you must be a hoot to work with.

Karen, hope all is well with your dad and you hear from your parents soon. Don't worry about not responding to everyone, at least you're here to drink!

Hey Junie....always around with a good story to tell! Yep, every piece of hair on your body goes! And no telling how it will come back, at first.

Chrissy, I love your drunken posts, you are so good at it and crack me up every time!

NM, hope you are holding up and feeling better. I'm sure we will see you later.

HD, you too sweetie, I hope you are feeling better.

Kymn, shall we join you for your chemo cocktail tomorrow?

      Husker, how are you doing?

Love and Huggles to you all.
