Lobsters are my favorite and fresh steamers to go with it, now we are talking. I've got my bib layed out and ready to put on and fresh butter for dipping. Let's not forget the corn on the cob and potatoes to steam along with them. This is going to be a feast. I have energy today and feeling pretty dang good if I say so myself. Now lets seeeeeee,,,How many kegs? Better get a dark and a light beer to please everyone. I vote for a good Guinness but as long as its import I won't complain. We better be glad we are camped out here by the lake because after we get through with this big clam bake we will all need a good bath. Amy

I'm not a cook, but I can swing by somewheres and pick up whatever you like. How 'bout some rootbeer floats? Kind of tired of s'mores. Or maybe a pineapple cheesecake?

Dessert you say? How about some warm apple fritters with home made ice cream. Getting ready to start churning. Figure for those of you getting chemo some nice home made ice cream might just be the ticket.

    And Im singing

Aint gonna rain no more no more
    Aint gonna rain no more
Well how in the heck can I wash my neck
If it aint gonna rain no more.

    Dinner sounds fabulous.

Saying words of prayer for Debbyfive...why do doctors have to be so insensitive, there seems to have been a lot of good news lately that our sister have had to wait over a weekend or over night to get!!! NOT FAIR. Hoping for good news Debbyfive.
B9 mole for Marla...where are you girl!
more hugs for silvergirl...I believe all will be fine!!
How about chocolate cheescake bars with cherry sauce on top along with chomosadi's warm apple fritters...can never have too much desert! I'll help you churn Lini after I finish my sign so I can collect enough money for more wine!
I'll be in and out...still waiting for word on Trenton (please ladies keep him in your thoughts and prayers, I am so worried!)but know that you are all in my thoughts...I'm here...if only in spirit...heck, I think I have a new addiction,I can't seem to stay away.

I threw together a few Key Lime pies and will provide them for after the lobsters. They are light and the perfect thing, IMO, for such a rich meal.
    Enjoy ladies.

Praying for all my sisters in the circle tonight.

He knows your fears - He knows what you are feeling and where you are. He can see into your heart. He can give you comfort. He is listening...we've got a lot of sisters that are on His mind this very moment.

Carrie, thanks for letting us know about Debbie. I'm praying for you, girl!!!!! Deep breaths. That's for me as much as it is for Debbie. I hate that doctors make us wait so long.

Marla, happy for your good news. we can keep an eye on it for sure.

Dessert: chocolate cheescake bars with cherry sauce on top, warm apple fritters or key lime pie. Can I have one of each? I know I'll bring brownies.

    What a feast!!

Hello everyone. I went out on ptrol to the mountains for a few days and came back to so may posts it took an hour to read them all - and I read fast!. We have such an enormous and wonderful wagon train here. I am all tickled.

I shouldn't have read what's foir dinner - lobster is my all time favorite and my mouth is watering (it's right before dinner here). Oh I long for those wonderful days by the Maine coast when we would buy our lobsters by the dock and take them to our campsite for cooking (along with a quart of clamms for appetizers). Could never get through the corn as well but it was always delicious.

No moon and no people lights while we were gone. The stars were magnificent. And I thought of each one with one of your names and thoughts. Twinkling forever.

I would like to introduce two members to our nightime choir - the barn and great-horned owls. It is still warm and they are feasting as the sun fades away.

Am here to watch the fire for a while and keep the cyotes at bay. Jeannette

Many on these boards do not believe in prayer. A previous post by Rhyme.

There are many diferent religions and beliefs and cultures represented in this diverse commmunity and I believe it is " more " than just a little " inconsiderate and rude " , and exceptionally " arrogant " to be quoting scripture or prostelizing anyone. This loudly reverberates " disrespect " for the diversity amoung and between members of this " international community " and could easily be viewed by some international members as an" intolerance " of and for an individuals beliefs.

Quoting scripture and attempts of " prostelizing " are both " expected " and appreciated in Church and Bible study but not in chat and not on the discussion boards.

Unfortunately, that has been the cause of several friends in both chat and on these boards now not speaking friendly.

The word WE should not be used all inclusive.

At the bottem of 'dem mountains, there's a beach, that is where the lobsters came from... here is what I saw there.

What's so poignant about this picture? - it shows a line of little girls holding hands facing the immensity of ocean waves.
Alone they might be washed away, but together they stand strong. Thank you each for holding my hand somewhere along the way when I was facing a wave of my own. I hope you will reach for my hand when your own wave threatens.

    All of us girls..
    Old and young...
    Near and far...
Hold special memories of good times we've shared.
We've had our share of hard times when our friends were there to make us feel better.
    We've shared...
    our hearts
    our time
    our secrets
    our fears
    our hopes
    and our dreams.
Let us never break the chain of friends!

May the circle be unbroken, by and by Lord, by and by...

brittbrat...no implying that everyone here is of the same religion and should do anything they don't believe in. I was never intending to be inconsiderate or rude to anyone. I personally pray for all our girls here, it's my choice to do so and I don't expect anyone to do the same in return...do whatever you wish. If you had read my post I simply asked to keep Trenton in your thoughts and prayers...I guess I should have said in your thoughts OR prayers to be more politically correct. Trenton is a missing two year old that is friends with my daughter and I only wanted to put him in our wonderful circle of protection.
nuf said...I'll move to the drinking thread.

This is also the first time in my life I have ever been accused of being arrogant. I am the least arrogant person you will ever meet and was only here to offer help, love and support to ANYONE who needed it or asked for it.

    yikes.........i'm "not a prayer"

but i sure don't negate the beliefs of those who are!

my grammie put me on the prayer list at church.......i was noted as the "spiritual girl" who might benefit from prayers from the congregation.......i never objected!!!

why is everything a fight around here??????

carrie is one of the most loyal prayerists i know, she knows thats not my style and vise versa, but we still greatly admire each other........good grief, time to regroup here girls!!!!!!

pass me the melted butter...........and a beer!

I agree with Vera, Vickie. By the way, welcome back Vera. Why doesn't everyone just ignore the brat and it will go away.
