Oh Silvergirl, I'm so sorry to hear that. Is there still a chance it could be B9? I'm praying for that. If it turns out it is cancer, we will be here to help. My heart goes out to you. I hope the circle gives you comfort. I'm babbling. Looking for words to make you feel better. Just know that I care.

Why not? I've got the biggest honkin' black russian (DRINK) you ever saw sitting here! I don't care what my onc says about alcohol at the moment! Does that go with sourghum? I've heard of it but didn't know it was food! Sounds kinda gooshy and might ruin a perfectly good biscuit---one of my FAVORITE foods. My daughter and I made the college tour during her senior high school year---many schools in VA. We still refer to it as the Biscuit Tour. Returned home with 4 dozen biscuits in the back seat----burp.0 -
Silvergirl9114 it can go with whatever you want it to,,its your day. Been thinking about you since I last checked on the boards. Hang in there and come on Friday so we can hear B9 B9 B9 B9 and we can dance happily around our wagons with horns blowing and streamers streaming not to mention the kegs we can bring in. Hang in there girl,,nothing can get us down. Amy

Vickie--
Praying Trenton is found.
Thanks everyone for prayers and good wishes. Trying to remember as nerves are a wreck---somehow this is worse than last year.
Jean0 -
Evening sisters, yeah, I know I am early. Vickie I do hope you can post some good news o Trenton. Silvergirl, this circle is one of never ending prayers and encouragement. I am praying for very good news.
I am not sure what is going on but I am having terrible problems on this site tonight- and only this one. Have even rebooted the computer, etc. I am not sure if I will be able to check in later so here is a song my grandmother sang to us (mostly my sister who cried all the time) and thought you might want to give it a try at the campfire.
Some of you may remember it but, if you do, I will probably be able to guess your age!!
Oh where have you been Billy Boy, Billy Boy, Oh where have you been charming Billy. I have been to see my wife she's the joy of my life, she's a young thing but cannot leave her mother.
Can she make tha bed Billy Boy, Billy Boy, can she make a bed charming Billy. She can make the bed, put the pillow at the head, she's a young thing but cannot leave her mother.
Can she sweep the floor Billy Boy, Billy Boy, can she sweep the floor charming Billy. She can sweep the floor, push the dirt behind the door but she's a young thing and cannot leave her mother.
Can she bake a cherry pie, Billy Boy, Billy Boy, can she bake a cherry pie charming Billy. She can bake a cherry pie quick as a cat can blink its eye; she's a young thing but cannot leave her mother
How old is she Billy Boy, Billy Boy, how old is she charming Billy. She is 4 x 7, 28 and ll, she's a young thing and cannot leave her mother
Blessing to all. I will try again later but if not, you are always in my heart and definitely in my prayers. Rest well!!!0 -
Ok, i kinda remember this. the last verse is strange though. What's 4X7? sorry about your puter problems
by the way, this is me, out riding around the circle, keeping us safe.

Susan---
My, who IS your stylist? Your toes are down so don't fall off!
I think I pm'd you but not sure I hit the right radio button---let me know if there's no answer there. A little distracted this evening. That dad burned sorghum must be making me sleepy---too much sugar, you know.0 -
My toes are down. Huh? shows you what I know about riding a horse. I thought it was just a cool picture. Are my toes supposed to be up? really?? didn't get a pm. it's easy to push the wrong button.
0 -
All I really know about horses is that they are way too big, have huge teeth and one threw my daughter and landed on her a few years ago and almost killed her. So much for horses! I should just permanently switch to Harleys to pull my wagon.
As for your pm---that would be wonderful and much appreciated. We chat frequently but a little extra help is a good thing!

Dear Jean,
I am just trying to catch up....
I hope you have plenty-o-xanax on hand girl.
I can only imagine how frightened you are.
I am so sorry the surgeon told you this today. So I want to take it a little further, OK?
When I get potential bad news and fear the worst I find that actually talking about the worst case scenario is helpful. So I wanted to let you know that I know a woman who actually had a mets to her eye. They operated on it and I think she was given some sort of further treatment, I can't remember if it was rads but I think it was. This happened 4 years ago. She recovered fully and had full sight. I have emailed a mutual friend of ours asking if she has been in touch with her and how she is and would she mind helping me help you but my friend said she moved to California and doesn't have her email anymore. BUT the last time she spoke to her, which was in April, she was NED. She had two bc dx's. The first one was followed by a recurrance in the other breast two years later, and then three years later she got the eye mets. And that was 4 years ago. And she is Ned now.
SO I wanted to tell you this in CASE it IS the worst case scenario that it IS treatable and beatable!
Now who in their right minds wants to go through that???
No one. But that is where we come in.
We got the circle and the circle has you and we will carry you through this no matter WHAT IT IS.
You just rest tonight and don't worry. We have a worry wagon. It is that shaky one over there by the willow. Everybody who comes to the circle throws their worries in there. Sometimes, in the morning when they are ready to leave, the girls forget that they even threw anything in there at all....
You will be ok. We will make sure of it.
Love,g0 -
hey Tina! I have to tell you that you have one STYLIN wagon!
Woohoo!
Girls, dessert in is Tina's deluxe wagon tonight! A/C, satellite dish, hot tub, chocolate fountain....yeah baby!0 -
Count this ole Texas gal in to. It's time to "lock and load".Let's let cancer know that our shield of solidarity is one to envy. We come for the right reasons and our circle won't be broken. Not truly. Lullabye and good night....

4 X 7 makes her 28 and ll. I guess she is 30. The big joke in my family has been instead of saying, "she'a a grown woman' OR " he's old enough to know better" we say...
"she's 7 x 3"
meaning she or he is 21 and should be able to know better or make own choices. lol0 -
NS--
Thanks for the story about your friend---I need to hear all of those I can get my hands on. I love to read, sew, knit, embroider, garden---kinda eyeball intensive stuff. Guess it wouldn't be hitting me quite so hard but my Dad went totally blind over four years and it was so difficult to watch---not that I plan on doing the same!
You ladies are all so kind----you have no idea what that means. Tried to explain the wagon train thing to DH on way to dr's this afternoon. Old Mr. Retired Engineer thinks I'm hallucinating or smoking funny stuff, I think. It was a very small parking lot---you guys were spread all over Erie Boulevard East. Attracted quite a crowd---people abusing cats frequently make the headlines here so a flock of beautifully decorated wagons made quite an impression!0 -
Sorry I'm late for my watch tonight ladies, but we've been having horrible storms, and wicked lightening, kinda felt like I better wait it out to crank up the puter.
So much to catch up on today...... first Amy, I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time with your chemo, but you are in my prayers. I think that you should be in the middle of our circle where we can take care of you, you sound like you need a break. Although, I do love sorghum syrup and butter with biscuits, yum... You are in good hands Amy, we are here for you!
Jean, I am so sorry about your news, but 50% chance it could be mets, still means 50% chance that it's not mets. I know that it's hard to look at it like that, when we are the one going thru it, it's 100% mets, until proven otherwise. Stay in the circle and we will keep you safe. You are in my prayers for benign results on Friday.
Vickie, my heart goes out to you, your daughter and her friend. How horrible for any parent. My prayers are for the safe return of Trenton.
Ladies, can we please add another sister to the circle, Pam aka TheShopMama, I know that she could use all of our love and support. Pam lost her 18 year old son a little over 2 months ago. She is a very sweet, courageous lady, who has been through so much in the past year. Please keep Pam in your prayers and in the comfort of our circle.
I hope all of our ladies in the circle are resting well tonight, praying for peace and comfort for you all.
Love and Hugs,
JoJo0 -
Oh my so much has gone one while I slept the day and night away. But today I'm back and strong as ever. Good morning to all of you wonderful ladies.
Those of you who need protection and comfort, we are here for you. Those of you having a hard time with your chemo, we will comfort you.
We are strong in spirit. We are strong in supporting all of you.
Jean, you enjoy those black russians.
Pam "TheShopMama" we have a special place for you here in the circle of wagons.
Nothin like that first cup of coffee in the morning. Sun is just peaking over the horizon. Crickets are still singing their songs. What a glorious morning.
As I sit here contemplating, rifle in hand - to keep the intruders out, I wish you all peace. Got ya covered for the early morning shift.
Nicki0 -

Good morning everyone,
I am happy to report that I stayed awake last night until 10:30 and had energy and ate supper. Maybe the first few days of chemo was a shock to the system and now it is getting back into the swing of things. I swear, I sailed through the first time and I cant stand to be down so this was getting to me. I felt like a mental case at times and there was no reason to. I am happy to report for duty this morning with my trusty rat terrier beside me. He is quiet the wus dog but such a loving companion and he would never let an intruder in.
Guess I can show my age and say that I had the song sung to me as a child also and sang it to my son as a child.
What about this one? Its a great campfire song. My farm is named after this one...Swinging on a star Farms
Would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a mule?
A mule is an animal with long funny ears
Kicks up at anything he hears
His back is brawny and his brain is weak
He's just plain stupid with a stubborn streak
And by the way, if you hate to go to school
You may grow up to be a mule
Or would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a pig?
A pig is an animal with dirt on his face
His shoes are a terrible disgrace
He ain't got no manners when he eats his food
He's fat and lazy and extremely rude
But if you don't care a feather or a fig
You may grow up to be a pig
Or would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a fish?
A fish won't do anything, but swim in a brook
He can't write his name or read a book
And to fool the people is his only thought
And though he's slippery, he still gets caught
But then if that sort of life is what you wish
You may grow up to be a fish
And all the monkeys aren't in the zoo
Every day you meet quite a few
So you see it's all up to you
You can be better than you are
You could be swingin' on a star
Crossing my fingers that we hear good news about Trenton today and keeping all of our sisters in our thoughts. Amy0 -
Yey VERA!!! So good to see you.
I have to admit, I've been busy dealin with stuff back here on the range...but I'll be in and out today checkin on my sisters in the circle.
Going to the surgeon in a few minutes to have a suspicious mole checked out...probably nothing...pray it's nothing...dang it, it'd better be nothing! I don't want to add anything else to the dish we've been dealt in the past week or so!
Well, I'm off...
Marla0 -
Here's a picture of my "mole"...
OH WELL! Gotta laugh about something!
Marla0 -
Oh Amy: that is one of my absolutely favorite songs. And one of my old time favorite movies too "Going My Way."
Glad you are feeling better.
Well day 3 of vacation and still cloudy and rainy. I think Im getting bored already.
Marla, Im with you, I will be checking in on and off all day. Making sure everyone is comfortable and well fed.
Nicki0 -
Marla that looks like a B9 mole to me...I saw that as I was scrolling down through checking up on everyone, my phone rang in my office just as I read your caption...nearly choked to death trying to answer the phone without laughing!
Amy...Love that song too and glad you had some good rest and are feeling a bit better.
Saying prayer throughout my day for you all.
Hugs
Vickie0 -
