I just made a big pot of fresh vegetable soup with chicken. It'll be waiting for me when I return from my expander surgery tomorrow. I made plenty for everyone, so please help yourselves. Just leave a little bit for me.

It's 83 degrees here. Fall is the best time of year for SoCal. Sending some good weather vibes to all the rainy places.

Sending prayers and good thoughts to all of my sisters.

Dropping in before I start some long overdue chores. Debby5 so good to see your post. Nicki, oh, chicken soup sounds good but when I feel bad, I love potato soup too. Hope you feel better soon. Mena, yes lets bombard his office - one vote/one voice does make a difference; Florida and hanging chads showed us that.

Have had a beautiful fall day here. The sky is Carolina Blue (my money and daughter went to UNC)and the greens of the trees with a touch of red at the end of the branches and the golden tones are just beautiful.

To all who need to come close or are in the inner circle, I pray a touch of sunshine found its way to you; if not today, then tomorrow. I think of you often during the day.
I was in chemo last year this time; I remember.

Blessings everyone, off to do the chores.

Glad to hear that Robin is ok, even though she's down. Was really worried about her.

We had a gorgeous day today and should have another tomorrow. We're enjoying it while it lasts.

Kathi, I haven't done reconstruction yet and am struggling with the decision. My regular surgeon is encouraging me as a part of moving on, but we decided to wait until my 2 year anniversary. I had such a tough time with my last surgery that I'm really not looking forward to another. I'd love to talk to you about it sometime.

Hope everyone is doing well. I would LOVE to have a chocolate fountain!

Blood work was done today and all my counts are within or very close to normal range! My onc is happy and said I did good (as if I had any control over my blood cells!).

Just wanted to share my happy news...I am off to bed....did a full day at work today for the first time since treatment and I am completely wiped out!

Will check in in the morning to see how everyone is!

finally got the results of my biopsies. all are within normal range but will need to get a DNC to get rid of the polups and fibroids. Not looking forward to that but need to get it done now while I have insurance and a job. Things are starting to get strange at work. Not sure if the company is getting bought out or what. they keep us hanging in the wind.
The back is getting better and with pt and mnessage therapy I'm back to moving more freely. So I'll move out of the center and make room for Paula and the others that needs it so very much.
I posted the other night but it disappeared?????????

I too agree this should be a 5star thread!

Hugs to all and you are always in my prayers

Today it was in the high 70s with a gentle breeze and golden sunlight and it made you wish winter would never come. You just want to bottle this day up and keep it for one of those grey, wind chill factor days.... but I know that THIS winter will be different because this winter I will be spending in the Circle. I can just imagine waking up to our first snow fall. I am sure Niki and Shel will have the fire going and breakfast started by Amy and Ronda. Deb will have trained some red tailed hawks to fetch some fresh salmon out of the river for us.

Kristin, you are the superwoman of immune systems! That is such a good sign!

Cheryl, sometimes this board is like the Bermuda Triangle of posts. I have had many go missing! I am so glad your tests are normal. I hope you are able to get that surgery done quickly.

Lini, when is your exchange surgery? We seem to be having your weather here on the East coast as well.

Kathy, let yourself heal a bit and then decide. It is hard to contemplate anything after undergoing all you have.

Leigh, jmo but work might be a lot more fun with a little Baileys!

Speaking of which, Nicki for your cold how about a hot cuppa tea with honey, lemon and Bushmills??? Works for me!

Mena and MB, the chocolate fountain I saw in the catalogue doesn't come with the chocolate, that is extra, but I think that the Caramel is an excellent idea!

Carrie, so happy you are moving to the perimeter, but don't stray too far, I want to keep an eye on you!

If anyone wants to come to Chicago with me and throw rocks at a funeral home and a newspaper office I am leaving at 5 am with my fastest horse.

    Love you Circle girls.

Checking in after being gone for a few days. With this country dial up connection, it takes awhile!
Kristen - sounds like you are doing awesome lady! Good job! Hope it continues to go well for you!
Glad to find out someone finally heard from Robyn - sorry she's not feeling well, but at least we know she's ok.
So many of us suffering from colds, allergies, sinus problems, etc. Maybe as fall passes, so will all this, but we still have to get through it, and it's miserable!
I think it was Kathy talking about recon. Wait til you're ready girl. I personally decided that I didn't want any more surgery at this point, and just the fact that my onc doesn't want me to have the port removed for 2 years put me off a little. When he says it's ok to get the port out, I'll think about recon. That's just my thoughts on the matter. Personally I'm ok with the pros. and so's dear hubby. Nobody else matters!
Prayers and good thoughts to all who are having a rough week.
Oh & who mentioned potato soup? I haven't had any of that in a year or more - I think it's time! And I think my potato soup is pretty good, if I do say so myself! I was thinking of beef stew this weekend when we go camping (again) but I may do potato soup instead. We're heading towards Pittsburg Fri. - going to the Pitt State / Washburn football game with my daughter.
Work's really busy with Oct. 15th coming up, so it may be a while before I check in again. Just know my thoughts are with y'all every day. Ronda / Cookie

Good morning all! I could not sleep last night - no good reason - so I got up and stoked up the fire and started some breakfast. I have biscuits and scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon, and for those of you (including me!) counting calories, a big bowl of fresh fruit salad and egg white omelettes with lowfat cheese! Mmmmmmm...it is so great to smell bacon sizzling on a cool crisp morning!

Hugs to all in the inner circle. I keep all of you in my prayers each and every night. Nicki, I brought you a hot cup of tea to help with that cold of yours. Remember to keep drinking fluids to help your body fight the virus (not that I need to tell you that, right? LOL!)

Good morning everyone. So here I am, earlier morning watch one again. But what a surprize. Coffee and breakfast waiting for me when I woke up. And a beautiful, warm campfire. Thanks Kristin!

You all should see me. I perspired so much last night. My hair is sticking up every which way. Couldnt get it to look like this if I tried. Look like a young person with crazy spikes all over the place. I glad I did sweat though, to me thats always a sign that I have broken through the infection and the cold should start getting better. My nose is stuffy, Im talkin with a nasal twinge, and coughing. But Im better - YES!!

NS: Ok, I live in Chicago. So why are we throwing rocks at a funeral home and a newspaper. Im in!! Just want to know why. I think I missed something, somewhere, somehow.

Cookie: Whenever I read your posts I get so hungry. Hope you have fun this week-end. Potato soups sounds yummy!

Carrie: Its so good to have you back again. Glad your feeling better.

Lini: Well - today is the day. Hope things go well with the surgery. Remember, we will all be with you, protecting you and making sure all goes well.

Oh I know I have missed so many. Sorry - not intentional, but my brain is a blur from all this cold medication Im taking. Having a hard time thinking clearly today.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Im outta quaranteen, but Im moving slow.

Just madae a fool of myself with my principal. I couldn't sleep at all last night and had some things on my heart. He didn't agree with me, which was ok, but I got all emotional, in fact I'm still crying. I hate these messed up hormones!

Hoping to get results of PET scan today or tomorrow. Probably why I'm so emotional. I just want to sit by the fire and have a cup of cocoa.

Hey Sheri - Hoping you get those results today/soon, and that they are good. This is a day I'd rather be sitting by the fire myself (or maybe hiking the trail, since it's beautiful in DC and still too warm for a fire). Settling for a latte....thinking good thoughts for all those who are in the center of the circle this morning. Leigh

Took notes, typed a whole bunch of stuff, hit continue and got "Sorry the form you submitted is no longer valid" AAAUUUGGGHHH.
    Some days I hate computers.
Nasty weather coming our way today so I'm hiding out from the lightning...not afraid of it but after a close encounter last year I do have a healthy respect for it now!!
Mena...Your right we are HERE and we are TOUGH! Making calls.
Sheri...hugs to you...the whole hormone thing sucks, it's like having constant PMS! Hoping for wonderful news for you today.
Lini...holding your hand and hoping everything goes smoothly...
Nicki...Kick that cold, my poor son has had his for a week and a half now...it just wants to keep hanging on. Sending you all the soup, tea, whatever you need.
Kristin...Yeah for good blood work...doing the happy dance for you!
Cheryl...so happy the biopsies are normal and the back is feeling better.
NS...In the mood for throwing things so I'll come along...I have some tomatoes, squash, zuchinni, lots of leftover garden stuff...we could make a major mess! My son will let me borrow his BB gun too so look out!
Silvergirl...how are you doing...miss you here.
Carrie and Debbyfive...thanks for the thoughts of Trenton (thank ALL of you that are thinking of him)...still no word. The police seem to be giving up hope as well. They have told my in-laws that they feel that they will never know and he may never be found. To sad for me to even write about at this point.
NS...your right about yesterday's beautiful weather and wishing winter would never come...but without winter...no spring.
I am missing so many...106 girls (+Trenton, Vinnie and couple of hubbies) so it's hard to keep up...just know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers daily.
Need to make the appointment for my BRCA testing...procrastinating on this one and don't know why!!! Just can't seem to make myself pick up that phone and call. Never heard the results of my bone density scan and so I'm assuming it was ok...probably should call on that too, guess I'm living in the dark at the moment!
    Hugs to all
    Vickie
Chili, garlic cheese bread and beer for lunch at my wagon...and hot tea with honey for you ladies with colds.

Hey Circle Gal's, just wanted to give you an update on me. the virus runs through the whole heart, they can only try to build it up with meds. no Antibiotics, because it is viral!! they said they really have no idea how i got it, But it was probaly in my young adulthood, i am kinda nervous and trying to remember everything, but i think mostly, it is I have to get the heart built up again, so it can beat at a normal rate. it is working at a 40% rate now. this is the reason i am so tiered, and the thyroid problem makes it worse!! Have to get heart working better before any surgery, So i have no idea what they will do about removing the thyroid tumor. i am praying for all of you, and cant wait for that Veggie Lasagna!!! and Please lets not forget about our little boy's Trenton, and Vinney!! love ya All, Nicki, can you find anything out about viral infection in the heart for me? Good afternoon to all,

Wasnt around yesterday as I had a busy day at work then after I got off the hay was out in the field waiting for me. Well, 50 bales later I was too tired to sign on the computer. This is my week off of Xeloda so taking advantage of the energy. Tonight I get to scoop poop on the farm. For some reason, the donkeys have decided to poop at the barn door. Crazy donkeys! I guess thats life on the farm, huh?

Nicki-While I have been out I did pick up you a few coloring books, and paint by number sets and a book of sudoku puzzles. I will drop them off at your wagon door and run like crazy because I dont want your cold.

Debby5-glad to see you post and that was very sweet of Susan to send you a meal.

Kristin-congrats on the good blood counts. I guess the neulasta is doing its job. Hang in there. How many days are you out from chemo 1 now?

No Surrender-Count me in on the butt kicking but let me know why please. I, like others, must have missed something. I got my sling shot ready and waiting.

Sherri-Heres hoping you get your PET results soon. That can really play on your mind as you wait for results.

Newvickie-still holding out on Trenton and hoping to hear some good news. I am stopping by for the beer and might even have some chili to go with it.

Sorry if I missed anyone but my heart is with you all. Its 87 degrees here in Alabama and I cant wait for cooler weather. The comment about the first snow on the ground made me smile. I am just hoping I see snow on the ground.

Oh mena, almost forgot,,,I copied that post and forwarded it out to people so that will be more people that can call. The more people to call and kick butt the better.
    Bye for now. Amy

    Evening girls...

Lini... I've been thinking of you today. Hope exchange surgery went well and you are comfortable.

Kristin.... great on the labs! Neulasta is good stuff. You're doing great. Thanks for breakfast also. What a wonderful thing to wake up to.

Mena... sorry to say I live in Oklahoma. I met Coburn once and was so NOT impressed. He's arrogant and obnoxious. He's also a physician and a cancer survivor however, I can't remember what type he had at this moment. I did forward info to all my friends.

Cheryl... great on the biopsies. I love good news. Sounds like something is up at work.. hang in there.

Nicki... I have made two big pots of Pollo Loco Chicken Soup. One is spicey and the other is mild. This is a recipe from a local restaurant and I always eat it when I'm down with a cold. Hope things are turning around for you.

Carrie... Glad you're feeling better - but think I'll keep an eye on you for awhile.

Sheri... gentle hugs. Waiting for results is always so stressful. I too hate the hormone thing. Seems I cry at anything nowdays.

Vickie... I typed some last night and got the same message. Ahh the world of technology. I think of little Trenton but things don't look good. Keep praying that he's okay.

Deb5... Oh My! What meds are you going to be taking to help strengthen the heart? Hope all this improves and you can get your thyroid surgery done.

Amy.... WOW is all I can say! You are one busy girl.

I know I've missed many but everyone is in my thoughts and prayers.

I'll check in tomorrow after my gyn/oncologist visit. Had some surgery in July and August and it's a check up.

    Hugs

    Liz

Sheri, the heck with your principal if he can't handle a little emotion. It's good for him. We like you just the way you are.

Nicki so sorry to hear you are sick. You have Vera and Liz offering to wait on you!!! Are you sure you are not faking? LOL (I wouldn't say that to just anyone you know. )

Amy, bales of hay after work and while you are doing chemo. You go girl. You are superwoman.

Lini, hope your surgery went well.

Kristin glad the counts are ok. Going back to work can take it out of you. Make sure you get plenty of rest. Don't over do it. You got nothing to prove.

Cheryl, glad your back is feeling better. Hope things smooth out at work. I've been through a situation like that.

Rondab glad you have time to check in.

Carrie, always glad to see you. Hope things are going better.

Debbie, viral infection, huh? Well have to wait and see if someone can provide more insight. XO

I heard from Robin again. Twice in one week!! Her counts are low and she has to wait to do chemo. I got more phone numbers so she can't hide from us anymore!!!

You all are great. Have I told you that. all 106+ of you!! Hugs and prayers and warm wishes to everyone.

Hey Nicki (when you can read this) - So sorry you are feeling like this...no fun at all. Sending 1) virtual chicken soup 2) nice cool clean sheets and a warm quilt 3) a really, really good night's sleep.
As for me, great Indian food at a place we hadn't tried before, not sure if it's compatible with campfires but there WERE candles and beautiful red and purple pillows...
STILL too warm for fires here - and I'm off to Florida tomorrow, where the LOW is probably going to be 75 over the weekend...Thinking good thoughts for all, please keep newcomer Ellen from Missouri (just dx today) in our circle tonight. Leigh
