Nicki - so sorry to hear you're feeling so bad. It's your turn to be taken care of! Relax & take it easy, & recover - we need you & your positive attitude here!
Kristen - you are doing so well! Just don't over do, ok? Take care of yourself.
I didn't take notes, as my desk is so full there's no place to do so. I try to read every night, and say prayers as I go through the posts. Sorry I don't mention everyone by name. I just always pray for all my bc sisters.
Cooler here in Kansas tonight - feels good after these coupla hot days we had.
I'll throw another log on the fire before I head off to bed.
Y'all take care of yourselves, ok? Ronda

    Hi Myrnainc
Welcome to the circle. Yes we can always use more wagons. I think the most popular wagons are the ones with down bedding and lots of pillows!! LOL

Hope your chemo is going well.

    Welcome Myrna,

Yes lots of soft soft pillows, but I'm still throwing off the blankets here in Washington although the hubby is bundeling up!

yoa know I love a good message but message therapy really hurts! I have to figure out how to keep my muscles from getting so darn tight! I streach daily so I don't know what else I can do. The Doc wants me walking the mile in 16 minutes every day. i haven't done that since my dx almost a year ago. i'm still trying to get my strength & endurance back. Is he crazy???

Good news is that I'm able to move better each day and it takes longer before I start hurting.

Praying for all, my mind can't keep up with you all. Side affect from chemo, rads or meds? oh well. My thoughts are with you all.

    hugs & prayers

Lots of storms here tonight... mucho lightning. Made me think that spicy soup might help poor Nicki with her flu... can we make it tortilla soup with some extra hot sauce? I hope you feel better honey!

Debby if it is a virus, can't it work itself out? I pray that it can you have been through enough!

Hello Myrna! So happy to see you here!!!

Cheryl, as a bad back veteran, don't push yourself too much with the walking. While some is good for you- too much will only cause more problems. And I had a problem with deep massage as well, caused more spasms. I hope you feel better!

Leigh, i am keeping Ellen close to the circle.

Sweet Lini, you have been in my prayers today. I hope all went smoothly!

Shery, praying for good results for you!

Thank you for all the offers to help me in my rock throwing campaign. CIRCLE GIRLS are the BEST!!!

BTW- I was informed that we HAD a five star rating at one point but if someone doesn't agree with it, all they have to do is rate it as a 1 star and it demotes the thread and you can't ever get the five star rating back again.
    So someone doesn't like us.
WHO CARES? WE have a 107 star rating and a Circle Girl rating of loving, caring, non judgemental and sweet sisters is all I need- what about you???
    Love you!
Off to make fajitas for the night crew!

Good morning everyone. Thanks for all the well wishes. And the soups just hit the spot. Woke up this morning and feel a bit better. But not going to work today either. Getting sick 2 times in one month really makes me angry. Guess my resistance is down. This flu is the kinda thing you dont want to be spreading to others.

Myrna: I just wanted to say hi! and welcome. Pull up your wagon and rest awhile.

The sky is clear, the rains have gone - but its a cold morning. Sitting by the fire with a nice warm blanket and drinking coffee. Its so quiet, so when I get a coughing spell it echoes through the forest. Geez! Everyone will know.

Sad thing about the 5 star thing. I thought it was 5 starr in the beginning and then it changed. Doesnt majority rule? I mean, someone could just rate it one to be spiteful.

It doesnt really matter though. I think this is the best thread on these boards. First place I come to everyday.

OK! body aches and headaches are coming back. Gonna go lay down for a while. No appetite this morning. Take care everyone.

Glad you are feeling better Nicki. It's good to stay home and take care of yourself, you don't want to keep fighting this all winter.

Having my appt today to get my PET results. I've been a nervous wreck. Thanks for all your thoughts.

I'm so glad to have all of you behind me! Yesterday I just kept crying. I ran out of prozac and am waiting for my refill in the mail. Wow, I sure can see a difference.

Storms here this morning, I love them! So amazing to see all that power. I hope you all stay warm and dry in your wagons.

Nicki, UNCKLE VETO'S DAGO RED always helps me, if ya want some let me know, Vera is so right You Work so hard, it is time we take care of you!!!! NS, they said that i will not ever get rid of the virus, and the heart can not heal itself!! But they have new meds. and i have already been double dosed, they worry about blood preasure getting to low, and kidnney failure on the meds. But thats my only option. the Virus turns into scar tissue then dies. one of Our Sweet sisters sent me a wonderful website, and explanation for this disease. if caught early enough less problems, thats why i am so mad about the WHY they never found this before. and this Circle is the Best medicine on this SITE, not enough Stars in the world to tell How Much it Blesses ALL OF US!!!! Bless All of You and i am praying(sending healing light) to ALL of YOU. ((((((( LOVE))))) debby( aka Puppy-miss debby)

OK ladies...I have had kind of a rough few days. One of my best friends has been DX with breast cancer! When will this madness end? She lives in Michigan, so I reduced to trying to help via the phone and internet. I am so angry about it that it makes me sick. She had two daughters, just like me. It is just not fair...Please pray for my friend Linda and keep her in your heart. She is still in shock and overwhelmed. All we know is they think is is lobular (from the needle biopsy) She will have another biopsy on the OTHER breast next Tuesday and they a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy next Thursday.

When I started my journey the docs kept telling me "we caught it early" and "It will be OK". Well, they DIDN'T and it WASN'T. I was stage 3C. I am so worried she will keep getting bad news and then worse news like I did.

Sorry to vent, but I'm worried and stressed but most of all just PISSED that this has happened again! If I see one more pink ribbon I might hurt someone....

Ah Deb...what a boatload of crap! I'm sorry and sending you and Linda big hugs. It certainly does seem endless and senseless but here we are...holding each other up. Tell Linda to join our circle and we'll take care of her right along with you.

Deb: Its sound like you are telling my story, except with me it was my older sister, not a good friend! She was diagnosed 3 months after me. Your description of the beginning of the journey really hit home. Cause it was one bad news after another. Everytime I turn around, someone else is being diagnosed with this awful disease.

So bring Linda to the middle of the circle. We will all support her as she works her way through this.

Thanks everyone for allt he kinds words. I gotta tell, you dont want this. Its the flu for sure. Today, I feel human - although Im perspiring like crazy while Im typing and its not a hot flash lol.

Going back to bed. Im still quarantened. Make sure you all get your flu shots.

Just checking in quickly before reporting to the quaranteen wagon. Looks like the flu has come to visit me too. Had 4 funky birth marks removed this a.m., walked in the back door and----use your imagination. Barnburner headache, achey muscles---the whole 9 yards. Hope it's the 24 hour variety since all of that houseguest/company arrives Sunday. Hope they like Fruit Loops and cottage cheese since all of the cooking I planned to do the next few days makes me feel a little green.

Just wanted to tell you all about the Cybersafety Conference the Foundation did with a variety of state agencies in Albany the last two days (probably where I got this). Justin Berry (they young man who testified before congress last year after extricating himself from on-line sex/porn business he was "groomed into" at age 13)---you may have seen him on Orah. Also, Chris Hansen, from Dateline spoke. The whole conference was a real eye opener---I am SO glad my kids are grown and gone--now all I have to do is worry about the grandkids. They did a live demonstration of on-line IM chat rooms that left me feeling like I needed a shower. Within 15 minutes the "bait" (in truth a 35 year old county sherriff) had 22 people waiting to talk to "her" and one guy, allegedly in Ohio, had sent a very graphic picture of a body part and had asked very graphic questions---and the "bait" was supposed to be a 14 year old virgin! All of you with kids----KNOW what they are doing. If you work, password computer access until you get home so you can keep track of what they are doing. Know what is on their myspace page. Every single FBI office and most police and sherriff's departments maintain units to catch these animals---if you want to know more about software you can install to keep kids out of these chat rooms, or that allow you to track every single keystroke while they are on-line, they would probably be able to help you.

Deb C---so sorry to hear about your friend. It's the pits for both of you but you can help guide her---and we will help comfort and care for you both.

Debbie5---unbelievable! How could they have been so far off the mark?

Glad to hear something from Robin---and twice in 1 week. At least she is communicating with one of us. Hang in there Robin---you know you have a whole cheering section here rooting you back to better health.

I know I've forgotten a whole bunch of you but I need to take my poor aching bod and put it down somewhere. Did anyone get the license plate on that truck that hit me?

And Vickie---thanks for your very kind offer---will PM when my head doesn't threaten to explode.

    Jeannie

Sheri hope the results are exactly what you want.
AlaskaDeb, that must really hard to go through this all over again with your friend. Knowing the shock she must feel and wishing you could spare her the pain. Hugs to you and Linda and you will be in my prayers.

Hi Nicki, here's some chicken soup. Fix you right up. Flu already??? I'd better go get a shot.

    Hugs to all 107.

Just checking in before I hit the sack. Wish I had one of those down comforters someone was talking about. Hmm - something to put on my Christmas wish list!

I read through everything pretty quickly, didn't do notes. Hope all are doing well, or at least managing to get through their flu bugs, allergies, sinus problems, whatever. I still think mine is allergies, as it gets worse at night, especially when I am outside for a bit.

I did some prep work on supper for tomorrow night - we'll be camping - got a beef stew planned, so all y'all are welcome for supper tomorrow evening. Saturday will just be a one pot dish, but campfire will be burning and warm for anyone who wants to join us.
Coyotes are howling like crazy here tonight, so maybe I should check the perimeter before bedtime, carrying a blazing torch, ya think? I'll do that, then throw a couple more logs on the fire, and hope the night watch shows up soon. Get a good night's sleep y'all! Cookie

Just checking in before duty tonight...
Deb- so sorry for what you and Linda both have to go through... (((DEB)))

Nicki, you poor thing! Sweating up a storm! Feel better honey!!

Anyone heard from Lini? I bet she is too sore to post.

I would like to put my friend Frances close to the inner circle girls. She is in her last days. She needs the warmth and love and understanding only Circle Girls can provide. This earth will be losing a lot when she is finally taken to heaven.

Getting up on my horse a little sadly tonight, but if I can help keep the beast out of our circle I will ride forever.

Thank God I'm a Circle Girl.

When you wish upon a star
Dreams will take you very far, yeah
When you wish upon a dream
Life ain´t always what it seems, oh yeah
Once you see your light so clear
In the sky so very dear

You´re a shining star, no matter who you are
Shining bright to see what you can truly be
    That you can truly be

    Shining star come into view
Shine is watchful light on you, yeah
Gives you strength to carry on
Make your body big and strong
Future roads for you to pass
Love to watch your mug past

    The shining star, lucky you
The sinful redeeming shall be true
On an adventure of the sun, yeah
Yeah it´s all awake and just begun
Yeah, thought I had to stir the mood
That´s it now I got my own oh yeah

So if you find yourself in need
Why don´t you listen to his words of heat
Be a child free of sin
Be some place, yes I can
Words of Wisdom: Yes I can

You´re a shining star, no matter who you are
Shining bright to see what you can truly be
You´re a shinig star, no matter who you are
Shining bright to see what you can truly be

Shining star for you to see, what your life can truly be
Shining star for you to see, what your life can truly be

Good Morning everyone. Well, I can finially leave quarantene and get back to the perimeter of the circle. Still have a nasty cough, but Im better. Going back to work today. Its a very chilly morning here. Put a bunch of logs on the fire. This goofy flu. First Im cold and now Im sweating again. But at least I feel better. I think clammy is a good description of how I feel - gonna have to go to the river and take a bath for sure!

We had the Harvest Moon tonight! It is glorious. Its a full moon and is the only time the moon is totally illuminated by the sun. Only happens once a year - so I hope you all got a chance to enjoy it. The sky is so bright. This is usually the day the farmers finish harvesting their crops by the light of the Harvest Moon.

Jeannie: I hope your not getting this. My symptoms started Monday and here its Friday. But at first I thought I was getting a cold again. Scratchy throat, burning when I coughed. The body aches cames Wednesday. So I hope you dont have this, will be pretty hard to have guests this weekend if you do.

Susan and Vera, thank you for the chicken soup. I always felt better after having a cup of soup. May even grap a cup of soup before I go to work today. Coffee just isnt doing the trick for me. Oh how I love the 'Stars' - Im looking at the sky right now and its cold, but there are no coulds and the stars are beautiful. Reminds me when I lived in the country and looked up at the sky. The stars seemed brighter then.

Cookie: Oh beef stew is one of my favorites. I dont get it much. Husband does the cooking and he hates it. So I am really looking forward to it. I will make some special homemade bread. I love dipping it into the juice of the stew. Oh yummy, this is making me hungry and its only 6am here. Have fun camping.

NS: I feel so sad. Please bring Francis to the center of the circle. We will comfort and protect her. Sigh! there another person we are going to lose. Justs makes me sad. Thanks for the lullabye. Almost put me to sleep - and that cant happen - Im up and need to get ready for work.

Laura: Im smiling. You saw the Harvest Moon, isnt it just beautiful?

Cheryl: Glad you checked in an hope you have a good nights sleep.

There are so many of us here. I know I have left out many of you, but you are not forgotten. You are in my heart always.

Have a wonderful day. Im getting ready to ride my horse Distored Humor. I have some special stops I need to make today. Gonna be waving my Italian finger at a few choice people. Then when Im done, distorted humor is gonna kick up dirt in their faces!

    Take care

    Nicki

Wow quiet day at the circle...hope this is a good thing.
Not such a quiet day for me...got the results from my bone density scan and have osteopenia!?! D*mn...I'm only 45! My oncologist said that I have a "moderate" case and is putting me on Fosamax (sp)...anyone else experiencing this or taking the Fosamax? I just hate the thought of yet another drug, yet another problem. Maybe I'm overreacting but this is just discouraging. I am so lucky in so many ways and hate to whine about this just don't know what to think...need to do some research.
Lini...where are you...hope your feeling well.
Jeannie...the offer stands...any time! Feel better soon...sending you warm hugs.
Welcome Myrna...this is a wonderful 108+ star circle with many wonderful women (all wonderful women!).
Alaskadeb...are you home for the weekend with your loving family? Sending you and your dear friend a hug...when is radiation done, hoping it is soon.
Leaving many out and I'm sorry...thinking of you all and will write more later.
    Love

Evening girls, I just skimmed through as I've been gone a couple of days and I think it would take me awhile to get caught up. Of course, I saw the pumpkin pie and whipped cream! LOL

Hope everyone is doing as well as can be. This weekend is the big Oktoberfest bash here so I'll be eating lots for all of us.

Prayers to all of those who are in need. If I can help, just come by the medic wagon or I'll be sitting by the fire as it's going to get chilly tonight.

Myrna, by the way, where in Oklahoma are you?

    Hugs

Evning gals, hubby has a wonderful fire going and it's date night so I won't stay on long as he's paiently waiting for me to check on everyone. It sprinkled here today but promises to be another unusally great week of weather ahead. I'll take all the sunshine I can get as I had to miss out on it this summer.

I'm working on setting up a fund raiser for BC Awareness if anyone is interested they can go to my website www.pamperedchef.biz/tools4u2 I try to do at least two a year.

I'll through a couple more logs on the fire for those in need of some extra warmth this evening.

Hugs & prayers to all our shiing stars

To all my suffering sisters, who are dealing with additional health issues, fears, sadness and/or friends' and family's health issues, fears, and sadness I pray for your/our strength, courage and wisdom to carry on, keep on keeping on, coping and going forward.

The trail sometimes seems so long and the future can feel so fraught.

Let's just keep spending our time together holding on to our hopes and taking comfort in one another's company, making the best of the worst, eating wondrous concoctions, laughing, singing, dancing, celebrating and living, living, living - all the while knowing that it's our party and we can cry if we want to and noone will need to feel shame.

I am going up the Hudson River with my family tomorrow to spend time with a dear friend of 33 years. We will be taking in the fall foliage, picking bushels of apples, baking pies, cooking stew for dinner, sitting in front of the fireplace, sleeping in the crisp autumn air (fuel costs are just too high for heat until November) and chowing down on pancakes for breakfast. You're welcome to join us.

I like the idea that someone mentioned about having a wagon especially for our children. As hardy as they may appear this journey can be hard on their young, fragile souls.
Pauline, my heart and prayers are with you and your son. Even though we haven't heard from you lately, I hope you are both still relaxing by the campfire in the center of our circle basking in the concern and support coming your way.

The air is chilly and I have blankets for all the horses.
Gonna get some pie then saddle up.

Rest well, Circle girls, in the love and warmth that surrounds you here always.

Good Morning. Actually slept in late today. Its daylight already, the sky is blue, but the air is crisp. Sitting by the fire, staying warm, and thinking about how far we have come since this circle was started. It sure is a wonderful place.

For those of you who are going to Octoberfest, apple picking, or walking through the woods, you are gonna have a wonderful time. The trees are just gorgeous. All different colors. Golden yellow, reddish orange. Almost breath taking as I see the sun reflect its glow on them. We are having a beautiful fall in the chicagoland area of the circle.

Im feeling so much better today. Just have a nagging cough and trying to keep quiet - dont want to wake anyone up.

Pumpkin spice tea? OMG that sounds good. Susan: The chili was great and so was the pumkin pie. I always get a craving for pumkin pie this time of year.

Well, I had my own little emergency in my wagon last night. Husband was at work and the hot water heater decided to blow. 40 gallons of water everywhere in the house. Didnt know how to turn the water off so I stood there with my Homer Simpsons slippers on just wondering where do I start to clean up? Thank goodness my dear SIL and her husband came to help. After 4 long hours, he put a new hot water heater in and we all cleaned up the water. Betcha I know how to turn off the water now.

Hope everyone has a great morning. I will check in later.

    Morning ladies,

Sorry just here for a bit as my arms numb up quickly. I'm feeling much better today. Had my expanders placed on Wednesday and the anesthesia kicked my butt this time. Despite taking stool softeners all week, that end is still not working, so it looks as if I'm six months pregnant. Other than sleeping sitting up, not showering, and not breathing(my chest is wrapped so tight, that I can barely breathe), I am fine.

Hope that all of you are safe and had a peaceful night.

    lini
