lini---Glad to hear you are on the mend. Try adding metamucil cookies and a ton of water to the mix---things should improve in a day or two. (I know---general anesthesia does the same to me and I've got it down to a science by now.)

The Flu Monster seems to be getting ready to go off and stalk someone else so I'm going to try for dinner tonight. How does beef burgundy over brown rice sound to everyone? Tomorrow is white chili and cornbread. We just have to remember to leave enough for my house guests---as we sit and lick our whiskers. What dessert do you guys want with that---I'm kinda stumped for inspiration? I should go check the recipe thread.

It's a beautiful day here--a harvest moon last night and our first frost. The leaves are almost at peak. I have always thought that autumn is Mother Nature's way of apologizing for winter----especially here! We expect snow this weekend "in the higher elevations"---meaning the Adirondacks, I hope.

Hope everyone has a beautiful day doing things that they love.

    Peace and healing,
    Jeannie

lini: Im so glad your surgery is over and your doing better. I had a terrible time with the anesthesia also. I wonder if they use a different type of anesthesia cause the sugery is shorter? Anyways hoping each day gets better and better now.

Jeannie: OMG your dinner choices sound so wonderful. I am so glad your feeling better. Dessert? How about some pumpkin pie cheescake? It is absolutely delicious. And I know that will bring Mena coming burning a trail behind her.

Think Im gonna go take a nap. Talk to ya all later

Ooooh, Nicki, good idea. I have a drop dead simple raspberry chiffon pie I thought I'd make for us tonite but think I'll go see what Wegman's has to offer. For all of you who live elsewhere---Wegman's is a grocery store to end all grocery stores. Makes the Gucci Giants in Maryland (where I lived for many years) look like 7-11's! Mena--do you like raspberry chiffon pie? It's even low fat and low calorie.

Haven't had a chance to check in lately, glad to see you are feeling better, Nicki. I hope no one else gets that crud.

My PET scan came out with no sign of cancer. The rib problem I had 6 months ago looks to be resolving. Yeah! The only issues now are that I have edema in my rt pectoralis muscle, probably radiation residue they said. I really don't know what that means, but the onc wasn't too concerned. The other thing is that my red blood counts are going down again. Probably why I've felt so crumby lately. They gave me an aranesp shot (which I HATE) and I have to have one every month for awhile. I'm over a year from tx, so this is annoying.

Thanks for all your concern. We have a gorgeous day here, so going to try to do some outdoorsy stuff.

Every take care. Thanks again for putting me in the circle.

Yeah Sheri so glad to hear the good news!

Lini take it easy for a few days. My favorite remady for the after affect of anethesia is pineapple juice. it helps pretty fast and I like it.

Jeannie glad your feeling better. Might I suggest a nice skillet Turtle Cake! one of my favorites and so easy to make! Or another my family likes this time of year is Pumpkin Cheese Pie.

Nicki, send in that resume anyway indicating you are signing up for those classes you need to be certified in specific areas! You would be great for the job!

Hoping everyone is having ag reat day. the air is a little crisp but the sun is out and promising to bring warmth with it.

I'm picking up Jan and going up to see Tracy's new house. It's so nice to have some BC.Org gals close by to visit with. It gets so lonely out here.

Now I need to go think of some great recipes to do for the fund raiser!

Hugs & prayers to all I'll check back in later to see how everyone is doing

    Susan,

What you did was amazing -- thanks so much.
I'm glad to hear that Mena is okay and I'm pissed at the Yankees also.
Today was the hardest day I've had since I started rads. I had a 9:00 nail appointment, went to Cosco's, picked up 2 of my granddaughters (10 mos & 3 1/2), ran some errands with them, met my husband and MIL for lunch and then we took the girls to a farm to get their pumpkins and feed the animals. I was so exhausted, I went back to the car and fell asleep while they did the farm thing. I have never been this tired in my life! When does this end???
On a brighter note, I hope everyone has a peaceful night and a beautiful tomorrow.

GO EAGLES!!! That's for you, tflow.

    Love, Sue

OK, the Cardinals didn't get the sweep against the Padres, just gives me a chance to see them win tomorrow

I hope everyone had a chance to see that huge bright moon tonight, I think it is the Harvest Moon, any 'ol hippie Neil Young fans will know about it.
    HARVEST MOON
    Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
    Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away.

But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancin' in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night.

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
    On this harvest moon...

    Hey fellow CG's...

Susan...those stars are fantabulous...I don't know how to make a screen saver, but I'll get my son to do it...I love it! Thanks for taking the time to brighten my (and I'm sure many others' day).

Myrna -- Welcome to the Circle Wagon...You're an official Circle Girl (CG) now...Enjoy!

Tgirl -- hahahah I know you caught me at a bad time (Yankees were down 8 to 1 to Detroit and I was maaaaaaad), but I was so very happy to hear that someone "out there" was concerned.
Yes, I feel crappy, but I did get to Grandma's 98th bday party...and was glad I went...I am blessed with a wonderful extended (those Italians) family...

Sue (ishop)...I'm sorry you're feeling lousy...we need that "down and dirty" get-together...I have some holistic therapy I'd like to share that may help...

Amy...I don't know how you do what you do...I want to come to Alabama and bale hay and stuff...and, does it stay warm there in the winter? That'll sure get me there...

Nicki...I hope you are continuing to feel better...

Ok, who asked me about raspberry chiffon pie? Obviously, I'm not taking notes...But, OMG. YES! Please indulge me...sounds absofreakindelicious...And I love rhubarb pie...only had it twice...homemade...but I'd love to learn to make it...

I swear I am gaining weight thru our Circle cyber food...and who's got the pumpkin pie? I love that, too...right up there after cheesecake...how about pumpkin cheesecake? I think that would be heaven on a plate, or napkin, or just in my hand and straight into my mouth...

The Harvest Moon here in NJ has been spectacular for the past two nights...just awesome...

OK, I'm turning in...I tend to fall asleep to the TV, so if you hear it coming from my wagon, feel free to come on in and shut it off...love, health, healing, comfort, prayers and sweet sleep to all of you...Mena...xo

Good Morning everyone. Its still dark, but the sky is clear. I can see all the stars and the harvest moon is illuminating the wagons. Its a wonderful site to see. Its chilly though. Just put more logs on the fire. Coffee is done and as I sit here - there is silence! (I turned off menas tv lol). The silence is nice. Its peaceful.

Susan: the stars are beautiful. That must have taken alot of time, done from your heart I know.

Sue: Wow, you sure did try to do alot while getting rads. Just remember you dont have to be super woman or super mom. Rads will cause fatigue, so Im glad you caught some sleep in the car. So how many more rads are left?

Sherry: Im so glad the pet scan came back normal. So now you can take a deep breath and relax. Have a special spot for you at the campfire tonight.

Oh you guys! Baseball is over here in Chicagoland. I hope the best team wins. I will cheer for all of you. Now football! Thats another story. Go Bears.

Mena: So good to hear from you again. Sorry about the Yankees! Im still hanging in there. See my PCP for routine f/u tomorrow. Guess he will check out this cold thing. It actually turned into bronchitis. Each day is better. But it is certainly lasting longer than I like. Will probably get an antibiotic from him tomorrow, but I do think this is viral. Just hoping no one else gets this.

Ok, time for me to go. If I missed anyone, as usual, you know your in my heart. Hope everyone rests well. See ya later.

Susan, those stars are unbelievable! What a wonderful labor of love. Thank you!

All is well in my wagon. I am feeling so good that I have been busy, up and about, not spending much time on the computer. Not looking forward to the departing of my hair, which will probably happen Thursday or Friday, I guess? (They are days 17 and 18 of this cycle.) My next infusion is not until 10/17, so I have another week of feeling good and I am going to take advantage of it!!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Big hugs to all, expecially those in the inner circle.

    Go Eagles!!!

Oh Susan...the stars are wonderful...the one for Trenton brought tears to my eyes...what a special thing to do...thank you!
Made a long post yesterday morning and lost it...aauugghh...had so much to say that I can't remember it all now. I had a busy day with the Apple Festival/Civil War reinactment in Newark Valley...had a wonderful time. I am taking Nathaniel and two other kids to the Pumpkin Farm today and trying out the corn maze...please send reinforcements if I don't return!!!
Hope all our Florida ladies are ok...my daughter called last night...it was her husbands birthday so they, along with a group of friends went to Downtown Disney in Orlanda and ran into a tornado on the way home! She was terrified...crying and sure they were going to die. She said that it was a beautiful day and when they left they could see light flashes in the sky in the distance and couldn't figure out what it was...turned on the radio and got the emergency broadcast system warning of a tornado. It started to hail really bad so they pulled over and she said as the radio kept report the tornado was getting closer and closer to where they were...she said the wind was horrifying and the rain was like waves hitting their car, the wind was blowing the trees all the way to the ground, things were flying by their car and after it past things were a terrible mess. Power out, police everywhere directing traffic, trees down, the works. Thanking God today that they and their friends were safe and praying for the safety of any of our Florida girls this morning.
Off to do some fun stuff...finally! I will have you all in my thoughts and prayers today and will check in later...if I find my way out of the corn maze!
    Love

I checked the Florida news and they are saying it was a "possible tornado". Took the roof off an apartment building leaving 50 to 60 people homeless but listed not injuries! Thank God!

Vickie: Wow, what an adventure for your daughter. I am so frightened of tornados. Glad she is ok and no one was hurt.

Kristin: Its so good to hear you are feeling good and enjoying time with your family. I lost my hair almost 14 days after my first chemo. I knew it was coming cause I felt a tingle. As soon as I felt the tingle I went to great clips and got it buzzed off.

Hope everyone has a great day. I will be in bed watching football.

thanks for the compliments Ladies. Let me know about additions/ changes. that's a good idea making it a screen saver. what format does that need to be. i'll check. I can make it a little bigger. Heck we could make it into a poster.

also, it made me think about friends who haven't been around for a while. How's Marla13?

Susan, all I did was right click and save in My Photos, there it gives me the option to Set as Desktop Background, it worked!
But I could not clearly see all the icons on my screen. I was thinking, maybe to print and scan or make it smaller, then my icons could be on the border.

It is good to see that the circle has some quiet times. We have some things coming up... let us all remember that Denise has her consult in Cleveland this week... and please someone give us a Robin update!... and Debby- how is the heart healing?

Sue and Deb in the midst of rads.

Nicki getting over her cold and going for her interview... RIGHT NICKI???

What about Shel?? How you holding up honey?

    Mena hanging tough as always...

I hope Lisa is ok and starting her treatments soon.

Tomorrow is Canada Thanksgiving so for all you Canadian Circle Girls... Happy Thanksgiving and may you truly have things to be thankful for this year.

I want to ask again for prayers for my friend. She needs the circle so badly right now. Someone please explain to me why they can't give liver translplants to Breast Cancer patients but can give them to Liver Cancer patients? PLEASE? I cannot wrap my head around that logic and without one fast she will not be with us much longer.

What is for dinner tonight? How about fried chicken? Something really greasy and bad for us?

    I'll go get the fixins.

Love to all the Circle Girls.
