I love seeing kids interested and eager to learn! It's funny that you are close to my age and your grandkids are in the range of my children. How does that happen? You get to give them back and get some rest! LOL That's part of what made me need that long nap on Sunday!
Gina .. Who needs TV when you've got free entertainment in your neighborhood like you do? Geez, I would have stayed in the backyard too. The squeezing and draining doesn't sound fun. Good luck with all your appts. this week.
BMD .. Yum, ribs sound awesome! I can't seem to stop eating myself. Fudge tracks ice cream, m&m's, cheese and crackers ... all that real low fat stuff. Since I started on the tamoxifen I've slowly started the bloated belly. I suddenly cannot snap my jean shorts without sucking it in and it's very depressing! I used to always have a very high metabolism. BC .. the gift that keeps on giving. I can't wait until I lose my ovaries and really pack it on! I hope you had a good day with your little one today!

Denise .. Congrats on finding the carpet scrubber. Will you come do my rugs? I cannot remember the last time I even ran the vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately I'm physically unable...bet you'd find some interesting stuff since I have a toddler in the house!
Margaret .. Your DH sounds like my landlord. He has a barn full of cars and another 10 car garage with even more, including one from the 30's and a couple from the 60's! Airplanes are his other hobby.
Pam .. You had to work on Labor DAy??? Why on earth?

Deb .. You can't beat homemade chicken soup when you're recovering from surgery. Glad your sis is doing better.
Vickie .. Sigh, like Puppy really needs to deal with that now. I'm quiet because I'm just sick and tired of it all. Wed I go see the BS and Friday I go see the PS for another fill. Next week is the first one in many many weeks that I didn't have at least one but usually two or three doctor appt. for something. Good thing too since I think I'll need it to recover from my fill. The week after that I go back to my Onc. Oh, and I have to call the GYN this week about my oopherectomy. Thanks, I wouldn't mind lying in the middle for a bit.

Karen .. Audrey had the best time at Hersheypark! She was so busy this summer with softball allstars , soccer and gymnastics that there wasn't much time for something spontaneous like that and we didn't get to the beach (which she Loves!) because of all I've been dealing with. Just look at the joy on her face in the picture! It was the first time she went on a roller coaster too and she went on three different ones! Wow, I'm shopping at GW from now on!
Darn, I thought for sure I'd post this by midnight tonight! Well I have to stay up until midnight to take my meds anyway so now I'm off to bed. I'm sorry if I missed anyone but thinking of you all from A - Z. Good night and restful sleep to all.

Cheri - My DH and both my parents are also Oct b'days and Libras and my brother is Sept 23 and on the cusp of Libra and whatever is before. My two oldest kids and I are Taurus and Miriam is Pieces (on the cusp).

Angel - what a great pic of Audrey. Im guessing that is karl with her. Today was half off at "GW" so the prices were even better than usual. The skirts were normally $5 as are the sweaters. On was normally 7 and the coat was 20 before the half off. They often have half off once a month on Saturdays, but in the summer the sabbath ends too late to go. It is our favorite store.
I love my "new" china cabinet. Everything looks so nice in it. I can't believe how much more room there is. My "old" one is in the garage - its on Craig's list for sale. i sure we get some offers.
I looked in the mirror at the back of my hair tonight and was amazed at how much gray there is - it is almost all gray on the top layer in the back. the underneath is still brown. The front is not as gray. I have not motivation to dye it as it seems like too much work. So I will just look like the middle age woman that I am. Well, I am off to bed as it is back to work tomorrow. Also, tomorrow is my 30th wedding anniversay. Craig says it seems like a non event. We went out last week, but have not special plans for tomorrow. WE make get chinese take out. Hugs from Denver.

Most of you are probably off to bed by now. I finally have some time to catch up on the events of your days. Both my dss decided to stay home with me today. We ended up going to the movies, Dairy Queen (2nd time this week-end) and the mall. We saw Underdog. It was actually pretty good. It was a little predictable but not bad. There were several laugh-out-loud moments. After all that I took them to McDonalds. So spent about $100 and probably gained back 2 pounds but we had a good day. Dh just got home from working on his brothers race car. He looks pretty beat.
Lini-You call this the end of summer. I seriously dont think it has ever been this hot in Vista before. I hope your spirits pick up girl. I know those days and they are not fun. After reading further it seems you are feeling better now. The Circle is such a great place to come.
Cheri-The watermelon looks tasty. Ethan looks cute. I am glad you got what you needed in the Circle. I was only mentioning heat because I cant get away from it right now.
Denise-That is why I have hardwood floors. Glad you finally got it done though.
Joyce-Dont let the canceritis get you down. I know it is hard. Every time I get an ache in my hips I know it is back and my hip is about to designate right then and there. Hasnt happended yet.

Margaret-My dh is car guy too. When I first met him 18 years ago he had a 67 El Camino. One night he decided he wanted a convertible so he used a chainsaw to chop the top off. We drove around like that for years. If it got cold or rained he would duc tape the top back on. I kid you not. He had that car from the time he was 16 until just 2 years ago. Some guy bought it off craigslist. I swear my dh cried the day it left. We have both built some very nice cars in our day though. His project right now is a 68 Nova. I stopped wracking my knuckles about the same time I started having kids.
SoCal-Has it been 3 months already. Those grandbabies are just beautiful.
Elaine-That is so cool that you can still stop in to say hello even though you are in Europe. Enjoy your trip.
Deb-so glad to see you around. It is great to hear your sister is doing so much better.
Candie-I have had 6 surgeries so far. Now I just say good night when they put me under. I dont even count anymore. You will be fine. Sorry you have to go through it again.
Gina-Glad you neighbors have calmed down. I havent seen where someone is bother Puppy but they better stop it. She is a genuine and special person and does not deserve anyone treating her badly.

Labor day has come and gone. I have certainly labored on Labor Day weekend. I should be in bed as it is really late. I think I am to tired to sleep.

Cheri.. Ethan's watermelon looks incredibly heavy and I want it! I love watermelon, especially ice cold. A watermelon is supposed to be ripe when you thump it and it sounds h0llow (I think). He is a cutie to be sure.

Vickie, thanks for posting about Puppy. She is always one of the first to encourage us... I hate that she has been hurt.

Good morning...well it seems that the whole Puppy episode was a "mistaken phone call". I am just popping in to say that somehow this has become "my fault". I am just stating for the record that I never called Puppy and told her that ANYONE was saying anything bad about her...I would NEVER do such a thing. I was called and told that Puppy was upset...I called her and told her that I had never heard ANYONE say she was a fake and to not worry about it. She insisted that it was true and she would never come back. I said I would start a thread and she would see how much support she truly has and how much she is cared about here. She told me to please do so. That is as far as I was involved. I WOULD NEVER HURT ONE OF MY SISTERS. I would never call you and say "gee, guess what...so and so said you are a liar, fake, etc etc."....NOT ME...NOT TODAY...NOT TOMORROW...NOT EVER.

Good Morning Everyone: The week-end is over, back to work. I think I have been enjoying staying home just a little too much, cause Im dreading going back to work today. I woke up late to top things off so I wont have much time to spend here this morning. Then have a big meeting at work at 3:00pm which means I wont be getting home til really late.
I hope eveyrone had a wonderful week-end.
I went to the BBQ yesterday. It was sorta nice. We played Mileborne for a while. I had 3 glasses of a nice Chianti and then fell asleep on my SIL couch until dinner was ready. So much for being a party girl.
To get there, we had to drive through farm country. It was so pretty. The soybeans, wheat, and corn fields had a yellow glow to them from the sun.
Now I have to quickly go back and read and try to catch up with everyone.
I have only read one page and still have 2 more to go through. Of course my time is up and I have to hit the showers. I started taking notes and there is so much I want to say to so many of you. Maybe say a prayer this meeting will be cancelled. If not, I wont see ya all til tomorrow morning.

My friend Jackie who was dx'd at the same time as me last Dec has a lump on one side of her mastectomy scar. The surgeon is removing it in his office today and THNKS it is a sebacious cyst but of course with her history will send it to pathology. We had dinner at their house the other night and she seems OK but I know she is nervous. She had a very odd dx to begin with. IDC in one breast and ILC in the other. Positive thoughts would be much appreciated. Marsha0 -

Charlene, my hubby wouldn't know what to do with a 10 car garage - he would think he'd died and gone to heaven. We have a car and a half in the garage, my son's Chevelle and hubby's truck in the driveway, and 3 cars in front of my house (we make hubby park between mine and my son's). Told hubby if he buys one more car, he's getting a storage unit for the cars. Next house we buy has to have a 4 car garage and a gourmet kitchen. Great pic of Audrey.

Gonna try to get as far as I can before the smiling faces wake up. Dorian was up at 2am with a bug bite on his face. UGH, poor thing reacts so badly to mosquitos and silly manperson insists that the windows must be open at night. A little magic cream aka Desitin and all was well. The power of suggestion is wonderful sometimes. "Here you go honey, this will help you not to itch". And off he went back to dream land. Just checked on him a bit ago and he doesn't have a monster welt on his face so maybe it really is magic cream.

Denise, glad you found your rug doctor. I think it's silly to buy one too. Seems like a complete waste of money to me. We're slowly replacing our carpet with hardwood. Doing it a room at a time as finances allows is taking forever.
Mommy arrives today only cause I have a doc appt this afternoon and don't want to take them with me. They won't be leaving till tomorrow I think.

Margaret .. My landlord is working on a 1961 Chrysler 300 now. A friend of his had one, rebuilt and remodeled and sold it for $450,000. I was speechless when he told me that! He also has a 1923 Ford that was used in the Bonnie and Clyde movie before he bought it. He has a Viper, a Prowler, and a Barracuda among others that he takes to car shows. He let Karl take me and the kids for a spin in the Prowler and Viper. They sure are fun to ride in and beautiful cars!
BMD .. I laughed out loud when I read about your DH chainsawing and duct taping the car top. He sure is passionate about cars! Wow, 6 surgeries!

This weekend, my brothers and sister are having a surprise 80th party for my mom in my backyard. We're having crabs and beer for the end of summer. Hopefully we can pull it off. Trying to get rid of her for the day, she's way too nosey!!

Whoa,whoa,whoa........back the bus up........ok girls and Peter we all know that there is a "cancer" that is trying desperately to destroy this thread and I think many of us pretty well know who it is........Puppy you were absent for part of the last year when some crap went down and some horrible stuff was posted before it was removed in some personal attacks against one cg and it seems to continue....now certainly some of us can be alittle high strung but if you think for one second that Vickie would call you and say anything bad and that we don't really believe you have been so sick......even if someone had said those things to Vickie do you really think for a moment that she would even repeat those things to you???????? I want all of us to think about who Vickie is in this circle.....she is the peace keeper.......she is the one the second someone's feelings are hurt or there is a misunderstanding that jumps in and trys to smooth things out..........let's face it there is many times when we type that our words get misunderstood........things can take on a complete different translation then what we actually mean..........Puppy think about it of all of the cg's Vickie would be the least likely to even repeat something that would hurt any of us........oh geez I am so angry brb.........

I am here...I am not going to say who it was that called Puppy with the misinformation. I would think that the person who did (and I know who this person is) would come forward...admit that she was the one who called Puppy and upset her and we can let this whole thing just go away.
I was simply upset that I was accused of being the person who called Puppy and told her that rumors where being spread about her which is something I would never do to any of my sisters.

First of all I have tried reading back alittle this morning and over the weekend but have not done a very good job......for everyone that is having troubles and issues please know that I keep all of us in nightly prayers.......I now just tell God to keep the cg's close to him and take care of us......I kept trying to list everyone by name but keep falling asleep.......anyway the youngest has a new oboe teacher and he lives about two miles north of SouthFork Ranch so every Tuesday I drive right by the ranch........I never did watch "Dallas" when it was on but for three seasons I worked for an Oil Company and in summer the production company that did Dallas would use the court yard in our office building for one of their sets....so every summer here would come the production company and set up and take all of our parking spots so we had to park across a very busy street......so the production company would let the employees of the oil company eat from the catering trucks.......so all in all it wasn't a bad gig.....and the football game was great Friday night.....our school won 28 to 14......one thing about our school is our football team is never really very stong....we usually lose more games than we win but Friday night the team was great and we played a school in a district that has the really big bucks..........the band was great......I could not keep my eyes off my daughter.....and then yesterday the band marched the Labor Day parade in town and that was great......oh geez phone....

Odalys I LOVE Cuban food. Well, actually only had it one time, last summer at a little restaurant in Key West called the El Saboni or something like that. But it was delicious!!
Tricia - you're in they Keys? BF and I stayed at the Key Lime Inn last summer. Loved it, only the next time I visit, it will not be during the summer!
