TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Sending hugs to Liz and family.
Deb, glad that you sister is well enough to go home; she is certainly going to be weak after all that she has been through.
Vicki, I've read but I still don't understand everything but then again I'm not supposed to. Don't worry,I don't think anyone in the circle would ever think that you repeated negative things to another circle person. Sorry that somehow in helping, things kind of turned negative.
I had to wait on a painter to give us an estimate on the house. It is going to be huge from what he implied and that
is with us buying the paint. If I liked to paint,I think that is what I should do. Haven't had much luck with the last two painters, so this one guarantees their work so maybe it is worth the extra cost. I know one thing - I'M GOING TO GET RID OF HOUSES THAT HAVE WOOD AND REQUIRE LOTS OF MAINTENANCE!!!!!!!
Sending warmth and kind thoughts to all my sisters and hugs too. Gina, Angel, Shirley - this is off the top of my head as I didn't take notes - hope all goes well with you guys today.

SHOKK>thats cool about "Dallas". I never really watched the show but when we lived in Ennis (yeah we moved around alot 14 times in 32 years now) a girlfriend from the Chicago area came to visit me and we went to Southfork as one of the local attractions to see. Was so surprised to see the house is so little! We also went to where Kennedy was shot and Reunion Tower. Got a little sick eating while turning in circles in the Tower!
Hope everyone is having a great day!0 -
Afternoon everyone,
really thought I could catch up with the thread today, but have an onc appt this afternoon, which means working through lunch....
Liz, thinking of you today....
hugs to all0 -
I'm going to put this in all caps, I missed it earlier myself.
Just in case you guys missed this too.
NOTE FROM MODERATORS: BOARDS WILL BE GOING DOWN THIS
EVENING AT 5 PM ET; WILL NOT BE UP AGAIN
UNTIL TOMORROW AROUND NOON
Brenda0 -
Hi to all!
Only have a minute but wanted to jump on and say Hi before the boards get shut down today! Just so the message from the Moderators.......Yikes, they are going to keep us apart from 5ish tonight until noonish tomorrow!
Liz, blessings to you and your family as you attend MIL's funeral.
Wish I could respond to all right now, but I have to leave 10 minutes ago...again!
I'm going to call for a Mandatory Circle Meeting....One big circle of all holding hands, hearts and feelings for each other.........Be there!
Hugs,
Denise0 -
What???? No boards tonight or tomorrow in the AM????? OMG! I'm going to suffer from severe withdrawl. Help!!!! Does anyone know if there is a boardaholic meeting in town? I need to get my butt in there stat! Glad I logged in from work during my lunch time or I would have never known what happened.
Vickie and Puppy - please don't let anyone rob you of your inner peace. Don't give away your power. Love you guys!
Shirley and Charlene - thanks for asking about my arms/hands. I'm suffering SE from the Femara and Zoladex shots. I've been getting knots in my forearms, with pressure and swelling in my fingers. Also, joints are very painful and stiff. My poor body is deprived of Estrogen. Oh well, not complaining, anything is better than cancer.
Nicki - that puppy looks identical to my Maggie. Beagles are sooo cute.
Amy - Are you giving away the puppies? Maggie needs a little companion.0 -
I just want to say that Tami and Melissa are fantastic.
Thank you.0 -
OK...sending BIG hugs to everyone so they will last until tomorrow!
Thanks for the PM's and my sweet "kick in the arse"....I do not have brain mets...I do not have brain mets...it's only canceritus...LOL I will repeat as needed
Love you guys

OMG...MizSissy...is that a threat? I suggest that "out of here" is the best bet for you. I don't take kindly to threats.

Note for record: I have copied and saved the above post from Miz since I feel it represents a true and legitimate threat to harm others.

Hello?
The thread gets deleted so now it is being continued here- in the MAIN Time to Circle the Wagons Girls???
STOP.
Just STOP ALL OF IT.
NOT HERE.
What the hell is the matter with everyone today?0 -
NS...I am trying to get this mess dropped but keep getting followed and harrassed...what am I supposed to do?
I will not "feed the trolls" but I also don't want to be treated like one.
I'm sorry all...I was simply trying to help Puppy...0 -
When I was first diagnosed, almost six years ago, I was so lost. I felt all alone and I knew no one with BC. I found a breast cancer support board and the women there welcomed me and lifted me up. I remember posting before my biopsy when I was still not sure and these strangers all wished me well and then they took my hand and held it through every part of my journey afterwards.
I loved those women. They were my sisters.
Well, that board had a few bad apples. And there was not real moderation. Anger grew between members and resentment grew at the board itself because it seemed we were being cast into the mouths of wolves and no one cared.
Over 30 women left that board. My sisters, my friends, my heart. There were other start up boards but they never really could capture the magic that the original one had. A lot of love was lost. And it was a very sad time for me.
That is when I started to look for a new home. I lurked here for a while. I had been burned and wanted a safe place to turn to. When I first posted I was welcomed by a very special woman who doesn't post much anymore, but her name is Marci Beth and she made me feel like I had found the right place.
I also watched how the board was moderated. That was when Melissa was all by herself. She did an amazing job from soup to the nuts who posted here. I found a home again.
I have tried to help as much as and as many as I could and have made friends that I never thought I would make again. BreastCancer.org is family now.
And thankfully, Melissa now has Tami to get in here when we need her and help us out where that first board I belonged to never did.
I don't want to ever lose a home again.
I ask that everyone remember what it was like to be a lurker or a newbie wanting to make that first post.
Remember what it was like to be newly dx'd and all alone in the world.
That is why we are here. For us, and FOR THEM.
Please, be kind to one another.
Ignore if you have to. Report to Tami and Melissa anything out of the ordinary. They will take care of it.
Let's focus on the good.
Our lives have been shortened.
How do you want to remember how you spent them?
PEACE.0 -
NS, thanks for reigning us in. I'm very angry about people who start problems but you are right this is not the place to do it.
I've talked with Puppy. She's fine. She knows that no one thinks she is a fake. It doesn't matter who started what. It's over. Ok?
Maybe these blips in the road make us appreciate each other more.

Here is one of my favorite poems by Rudyard Kipling and somehow I think it fits in the middle of all this turmoil.
Rudyard Kipling
If
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

So, okay, we won't be men but we'll be some pretty gosh durn amazing women! Here us roar!0 -

My first day of school went well, and my son did GREAT on his first day as well. I was a crying mess when I dropped him off, but he went into the building without any problem at all.
Have a great night all! See you all tomorrow afternoon.
