hahaahhahh Denise, He said "and how the hell can they say its from bats"....I said, "whelp dear, it's either bat poop or bird poop, and since we don't have birds in the attic I'm guessing its the bats."
So I will call someone tomorrow to see how much it costs. We are supposed to be getting the house painted in the next month but haven't signed the contract yet. We will use the money alloted for that if we need to.
Just gotta say it one more time......
    I WON! I WON! HAHAHHAHH I WON!
Don't know why he even bothers. I always win. hahahhahahaha

    Odalys, a lovely prayer....AMEN!

Heres hoping they forgot to shut us off.

Good evening CG's well its 8:18 MT (10:18 ET) and the boards are stilll up. I'm a little confused about when on here today, but I guess its best that I misssed it. The CG is supposed to be a place of caring, love, warmth and support. I know we are all women (sorry Peter - we are mostly woman and some great men) and that means that sometimes feelings get hurt easily, or somthing gets misinterpreted and then people get hurt. I think in general all of us are kind, wonderful people who would never hurt anyone on purpose. The beast causes enough hurt and pain for many of us, even after we are done active treatment. Please, lets let the CG continue to be the warm, wonderful it was meant to be. No bickering. I am not as familiar with some of the CG"s about the ignore button or contacting Marissa and Tami, but that is a good solution. Maybe also a PM to the person who is causing you pain.
I hope I haven't caused any hurt feelings. I love the CG and the support is has provided to me for going on one year. This is my support group and I love you all. Well ranting!

I did not sleep well the past couple of nights so I am tired. Need to find the right sleep aid. I keep trading off between the Temazapan, Trazadone and Ativan.

Well today is my 30th anniversary. Craig and I exchanged cards this morning. This is the first year we gave each other "mushy, sentimental" cards. I guess after the past 1 1/2 years we have really come to know how important we are to each other. I certainly could not have done this journey without all of Craig's care, love and support. He is really the greatest and I am lucky to be married to my best friend. We got take out Chinese food for dinner and he got me flowers - red carnations with white daisies and blue (dyed) daisies with some greenery - he came home smiling and telling me that they were on sale after labors day and what a bargain they are!!! They are very pretty and I put them in a blue vase on the fireplace hearth in the family room as the kitchen is a mess and everything from the kitchen is all over the living/dining room.

My mother called this evening when I went to pick up the food and Craig talked to her. Mom asked Craig "how am I really doing". Craig told her that I am having side effects from the meds like before but we are managing. My mom will tell Craig things that she won't tell me or ask him things. And of course, Craig tells me everything. When my mom asks how I am doing, I usually just say okay. Sometimes she can tell from my voice that isn't true, but she gets upset to her me complain as it hurts her to hear her daughter suffer. So its best to not say much. I called mom back, and of course she did not ask how I was feeling or mention what Craig said. I guess she got the info she wanted.

I tell you, I have got to find a better way to get organized so I do a better job or remembering things. I forgot my girlfriends b'day and we have been exchanging cards for over 25 years. then I forgot to get my niece a b'day present in time. This is the first time I have been late with a present. I used to remember everything. Not anymore!!!

Nicki - glad you enjoyed the BBQ.
Margaret - give me time to get you the recipes - I have it written down so I won't forget, but it may take me a while with all the mess in the house and the holidays. Thanks for the annniversary wishes.
NS - loved your expression "off to be milked". Hope all went well. You sure have quite the week. HUGS.
Angel - just maybe one day you will find a package of cookies - when I have extra time to bake again!!
Guz - happy to hear the both you and your son had good first day of school
Shirley - keep us posted on the lung - I can't believe all those bats - that would scare the begeebees out of me.
I took notes, but they are not really good. so will try to remember as many as I can - Deb, Peter, Z, Shokk, Cheri, Candie, Joyce, Liz, Brenda (both of you), Colleen, Cy, Lini, Mena, SoCalLisa, Choca, Cherlyl G., Sheri, MB, Susan, Christine, Madison, Marsha, Tricia, Odalys, WildJan, BikerJan, Robin, Jankay, Jeannie, Shel, Tgirl, Rita, CatherineH, Suz, Beth. I hope that I haven't left anyone out, but if I did, I'm apologize. Wishing everyone sweet dreams and a feel good day tomorrow. Just think, tomorrow is Wednesday, half way through the week. Hugs from Denver, Karen

Awwww shucks Susan, I'm blushing :-)

Peter, I agree with that saying.

Shirley, glad the oc said what he did, now you have to get hubby to listen to him! Someone stopped by tonight so I couldn't check to see if we got locked out but it's 9 pm and we're still here.

Rita,I saw Wild Hogs the day it came out. Our best friend is a contractor and a few years ago when we were remodeling, we were all on vacation together and he arranged for his crew to paint our house while we were gone, what a nice surprise

Karen, I have Outlook at work so now I put everything on my calendar for years out, including paying bills. How I can forget the monthly bills I pay astounds me. Don't worry about the ookie recipes, whenever you get around to it. Congrats again on 30 years.

Night everyone from Amy to Z and Peter, sleep well.

Just wanted to pop in. Had a wonderful time with 4 out 5 grandkids this weekend. But boy am I tired!

I'll try to post some pics by this weekend.
I have Chemo tomorrow and it's a double shot day so will probably just come home and go to bed. Especially since I need to be at work by 6:30 to get my 8 hours in before leaving for chemo.

Lisa, it's just amazing how fast our little ones are growing! We call Hayden, Chunky Monkey! he's gotten so big!

Claira started 2nd grade today. Where did all the time go!

My hair is really starting to grow back! It's really wierd! really fuzzy!

Claira and Duncan wanted to know what I had done with my hair & I told them I decided I needed to cut it all off cause I was too HOT! They laughed and said "silly Nana"

    Just love kids!

Well it after 9pm pacific time and I'm beat so sending my love to you all and will catch up hopefully Thursaday

Geez. I take the day off to actually work and this place goes crazy. I don't know what went on but it must have been deleted. I am glad. I love everyone here and don't want anyone to leave. It is late. I read everything but did not take notes. Just know I am thinking wonderful thoughts for all of you.

Margaret-just wanted to say my dh's all time favorite car was his 67 Camaro SS. He sold it for the down payment on our first house. My neighbor has a 69 Chevelle SS Convertible. I can't even image what it is worth but I want one.

Charlene-My dh was a wild one when we first met. He once built a bicycle that the seat was 8 feet off the ground. He rode it around the beach with a BBQ grill in the basket. Gotta love him.

Many prayers and sweet dreams to you all.

    Good Morning sweet sisters,
imageLooks like I have missed quite a bit while my computer was off and I was trying to catch up on some sleep, but from what I have read I am so glad I did. I just hope and pray that everyone is well and the Wagons can form that wonderful circle of friendship and support that Gena started just over 1 year ago.

Vickie sorry you had to put up with what happened yesterday, I am sure that you must have been hurt mate, you are such a special person to have got to know, I just want you to know how much I admire you for the kindness and support you show to us all.

Pam Glad you enjoyed your day at the baseball with your support group, I am saying an extra prayer that you can be very strong at this difficult time of the year for you.

Have been trying to take some notes and post but either my computer is very slow or the boards are slow, but keep getting timed out. So would just like to wish all From Amy to Z a very happy, cool conditions if you need them, and healthy Wednesday. If anyone is having any type of medical procedure I wish that it goes well for you, anyone awaiting results of tests I hope they are what you wanted.

Puppy and all my sisters always in my thoughts and prayers

Good Morning Everyone: Boy did I have a hard day at work yesterday. Didnt get home til 7:00pm. Had that stupid marketing meeting and was spoken to very unkindly by my bosses. I swear it is written on my face, If you have something unpleasant to say - just dump it on Nicki. So that brings me back to start looking for a new job. Im tired of all the driving and corporate stuff. Our insurance gets renewed in September. They raised the prices. So now any raise I have gotten has been negated by the increase. Atleast I slept well. Came home, had a glass of wine, took some xanax and fell asleep.

I dont even know where to being to catch up. Sounds like the boards were down yesterday? That would have really frustrated me so in a way Im glad I didnt have a chance to check in and say hello.

Peter: Thanks for the inspiration. "Dont let yesterday use up too much of today." I needed to hear that this morning.

Rita: My SIL and BIL were at that CUBS game. Always a good time at Wrigley field. Im so afraid to say it but the CUBS look good. Traffic in the city is a bear after a game. Apple Crisp from Zucchini? Now that sounds good.

Sherloc: I havent read back far enough yet, but it sounds like your husband gave in and you will have professionals getting rid of the bats! Yee Haw!

Karen: Happy Anniversary: 30 years is a big year and its sounds like you had a nice time.

Cheryl: Im so glad you enjoyed your time with your friend. Those are the important times in life - when you can just smile and enjoy it.

MargaretB: This is the wedding week. How exciting. Cant wait to see a picture of you in your dress.

Vickie: My dear sunshine sister. You mean the world to so many of us. You are probably one of the kindest people I know. You dont have it in your heart to be mean to anyone. So I say just ignore and if someone is persistant in following you with any negativities - notify the moderators. Melissa and Tami are the best. With all of our hormones out of whack, they do a great job keeping things together. You are my sunshine sister!

TGirl: Im so glad you had fun this week-end. Are you getting ready for football?

DebC: Such good news about your sister. Seems like they are discharging people from the hospitals way too early.

Shokk: Im so glad you enjoyed your Labor Day week-end. I was a little worried about you.

Donna: Standing here and waving hello to you.

Brenda: Now you have to paint your house? Does this stuff never end.

Madison: Hope your onc appointment went well.

Odalys: Im a boardaholic too. Really felt some withdrawal when I couldnt come on when I got home from work - got home so late.

Denise: you are a sweet person too.

NS: I just applaud your post and agree that Melissa and Tami are the greatest. We all have a strong bond of sisterhood here. We know how to help each other. And this forum is so important to me.

Jasmine: I got so excited to see a post from you. Welcome back, I sure did miss you.

    image

PurpleMB: Oh that stew hit the spot last night. Sending lots of hugs your way.

Sherloc: Finially read the post. Histoplasmosis! OMG! I agree - bats begone.

Cheri: Hoping today is a better day for you.

Hope you all have a great day. From you Sunshine Sister.

Nicki .. Sorry you had a bad day yesterday at work. I hope today is better for you.

BMD: Your DH sounds wild And crazy ... and a lot of fun! LOL

Margaret: I don't know what I would do without my Google calendar. I get reminders sent to my phone and email as well as pop ups if I'm on the PC when an appt. is due. I'd be lost without it!

Cherryl: Sounds like you had an awesome time with your best friend and congratulations to her on her 60th!

SoCal: I really enjoy a good tennis match on TV. I never know when they're on though so I usually catch them by accident. Did it go all night and who won?

    Jankay: Where are you?

    Good morning to everyone..

Good morning everyone! I can't believe it's already Wednesday? Another week/month flying by.

Wow, It looks like those two hurricanes have done a lot of damage in the Caribean and Central America. DH is really concerned for his family who lives in Nicaragua. Their homes are not as strong as ours. I just pray everyone is safe this morning.

    Susan - ahhhhhh....you're sweet too.

Peter - We are doing good. Thanks for asking. Glad you got some rest. You gave us quite a scare with that angina. BTW, I miss partying with you. It seems the party thread has been very quiet lately. Please take care of yourself.

Nicki - Sometimes we think a new job is the answer but I have to tell you there is politics and stress everywhere you go. The economy is really affecting healthcare; an already heavily regulated industry. It's not getting any better.

OK, got to run now. I need a second cup of coffee and must get ready for work. image

Have a great day everyone. Love and hugs,

Nicki: I actually got to bed at a decent time for me (about 12:30 AM) and thought I'd get a good nights sleep for the first time in ages. It wasn't to be though as I woke up at 5:30 AM! I'll probably hit my usual early afternoon slump before noon today! Oh well, have to be at a BS appt. at 11:45 AM today.

Morning all, onc doubled my xanax rx....took it last night and fell asleep way to early...go back in 2 months. Vampire that drew the blood blew out the vein.
Nicki, hate politics in the office. We just lost a few workers that had been in the office for over 20 years. The new women they hired-have NO personalities.....gosh, at least smile and say good morning each day.....oh well, I'll stay in my office and not venture down the hallways. Good luck with the job interviews and hope something fantastic comes your way.
    CY, glad to see you.
SoCalLisa, I forgot to tell you how beautiful your grands are. I am so jealous!!!
Odalys, my daughter's former husband was Cuban. He would cook some of the most fantastic Cuban cusine....yum...yum. Oh, we were watching those 2 hurricanes....I can only imagine the damage they have done.
Angel, good luck at the BS appointment
    Morning (or evening) Peter
    Vickie, sending you hugs....
Margaret, I use outlook and also put all appointments on the Blackberry. I even put TV shows and specials I want to remember to watch.
Susan, hope you don't mind that I copies and pasted those 2 fantastic graphic you did. I printed those on 8X10 photo paper and put them in Gina's book. Thank you!!
BMD, need to read back to see what the crazy DH is all about. Mine is so very serious all the time...
Looks like Tgirl and Shokk had a great weekend
Shirley is calling the Batbusters (GO GET'EM)
    Karen, Happy 30th Anniversary....
Denise, how is the carpet shampoo arm? I have to admit, I purchased a carpet shampoo machine last year....after having Big bad Jake, my 2 dogs, my cat and my daughter's 2 cats in the house for a month last year-I NEEDED a carpet shampoo machine.

Rats, my darn dogs think that because I am awake they HAVE to jump in the bed and wake DH.....so now he is up and wants on the computer....gotta go...get ready for work (probably go in early to finish packaging some of the loans from last week)....
Hopefully, I can sneak in from work.....'cause I didn't get to read back very far in the posts...
Sending hugs from A to Z.....and hopefully won't get the invalid thingy when I try to post!!!

DebC, how is your sister today?

Good morning, all. Have alot on my plate right now. Will share later when I'm more able to put it into words. I've been keeping up with you all, and have been praying for you. Glad to see that some have gotten some really good news lately. I'll keep the rest who are experiencing tough times in my prayers, hoping for better days for you, too.

Liz, so sorry about your MIL, and DH's aunt.

Cheri, hoping you get some good news soon.

Gina, know you'll be strong. This will be a very busy week for you. Keeping you in my prayers.

Deb, glad your sister is on the mend. It was so good to meet you in Brighton. Now when I read your posts, I can almost hear your voice.

For all the sisters living in the Gulf area, I'm praying for your safety during hurricane season.

Robin, hope you're feeling better soon. From your posts, you sound like you've got it together.

Karen, congrats. Thirty years is great. We just had our 37th a month ago. Had a simple day. Our DD was still here with her DH and their sons. I must get my DD#3 to teach me to get photos on the computer.

Lisa, that baby just sparkles. Her brother is a looker, too.

Nicki, glad you're on the mend. Hope your DH is behaving himself. DS#1 and girlfriend moved to Chicago last weekend. She will be teaching chemistry in a northside(?) school. We were so happy that she found a teaching job. They are very hard to come by in Michigan. Their apt is on Kenmore St.

Hugs for all who've been to the dentist lately. I'm going in this afternoon. Seems I've chipped another tooth.

I guess I'm ready to share a little of what's happening with us. MIL's health is not good. Had a dermatologist's appt yesterday for a rash that wasn't responding to tx. The doc did a bx, and thinks that the breast cancer has retuned after 18 years. I HATE CANCER. She's had a hard time lately and just doesn't deserve this. Sorry no one deserves cancer. Poor choice of words. FIL has Alzheimers and has not been much support for her recently. The doc thinks it may be in her bones. We'll know more in a few days. It's been hard for me to even think about this, let alone put my thoughts into words.

Today is DH's first day back with students. He found out two weeks ago that he'd only be working half days. That means only half pay. It's been quite a blow. We're both very upset with his boss. Can hardly speak to her, and DH is not enthusiastic about this school year. He hasn't seen a written contract yet, either. If he had known sooner, he might have been able to find another full time job. They didn't even give him the chance. Another teacher at his school was made half time with the same short notice. On top of everything else, they delayed his summer pay. We finally have it now. What did they think we were going to live on? We're both feeling very discouraged right now. I tend to eat when I'm stressed or depressed, so I have the added problem of weight gain.

Going to stop now, this is too depressing to continue writing about.

BTW, Vicki, I agree with all the others. You are one of the nicest women here.

Hug, healing, and prayers to all, especially for those I didn't name. (I didn't take notes.)

    As always, Laura

Morning all, well, it seemed like nothing happened to the boards last night.

CY, you are amazing. You sound in great spirits, and your hair is starting to grow back! You're right, where does the time go?

Brenda, when hubby and I first met, he had a 47 Harley Davidson Knucklehead that he had built. It was one of those bikes that was so beautiful that when stopped, someone would have to stay by the bike while the other one took care of business. He sold it for the down payment on our first house.

Nicki, yup, wedding week. Only have to work today and then I'm off the rest of the week. What's up with the bosses speaking unkindly to you? Hope today is better.

Charlene, thank goodness for those reminders huh?

Madison, don't you hate when people you have to work with all day have NO personality? It doesn't take much to smile or say hello. I have to admit that the group I work with are great and I have a fantastic boss.

Laura, 37th anniversary? That's awesome. Good luck with the dentist. I'm so sorry about your MIL. That sucks about DH's work hours being cut in half. Doesn't seem fair. Hope things work out.

Vickie, where are you this morning?

My size 2 niece tried her bridesmaid dress on the other day and it doesn't fit! Her dad is a bicycle clothing manufacturer so he has to take the invisible zipper out of her dress and extend it a little bit, think it will now be a dress that goes on over her head! Then my oldest stepdaughter called last night and she's going to start her period the day of the wedding so she's so bloated that her dress doesn't fit in the boobs. She has to take her dress to my alterations lady today to see if she can extend it 1/2" and do it today. Fortunately, the bride does not know this. At least I have my dress and it fits.

Everyone have a good day and will try to check in later.

    Margaret

Gosh LAURA>when it rains it pours huh? I'm so sorry about your MIL and what a shock about your hubby's job. I really feel for him as my hubby has been laid off twice with very little or no notice. Only good thing though was each time he got himself a better paying job but we had to be willing to move which we did.

MARGARETB>ugh on the alterations, my daughter wanted me to make her dress and I refused because I knew if it needed alterations I couldn't do it. Sure enough she had to have her dress made bigger just before the wedding day. I know it would have meant something to her if I made it for her but...
