Alwayshope: Good idea with the temp agency....maybe I could see what is out there. I was in Sales forever and then jumped to Health Services.
I know I can't do the sales thing anymore...it involved driving all over the state not only selling (food broker) but resetting stores when new products came in.
I walk around retail stores and convince myself that I "can't do that." It would drive me bonkers.........No comments ladies!
HomeHealth and Hospice is changing so much. Not that Hospice itself is a bad thing, it is a very worthy service. With the state laws and crap I'm stuck in between. Alot more classes/training, certificates and experience than required of an aide........but not a registered nurse either. So I am now doing more bathing and cleaning houses than caring for people.
I would also like to go to FL with Vickie and MaryBeth....but like you, I wasn't asked! JUST A JOKE....I REAPEAT.....JUST A JOKE!! Son getting married in Nov. kinda puts me here instead of jetting off for some fun in the sun!!

Glad to hear that Bobbi is home and improving..........and for the Love of God.......you do not have Cancer....!! Canceritis, YES..Cancer,NO............! I hate this game...I seem to have a new case of Canceritis weekley. Guess where it is this week? I just decided that I'd spike peoples curiosty more if I didn't mention where it is!!

Loved the story about DD! Don't you just love to be able to tell Adult children "I told you so!"
The Grand cutting hair reminded me of my own son doing that. He had asked me for something fuzzy or furry for a picture he made...........being the great Mom that I am...........I told him to go look under the bed for a dust bunny. Later in the day I noticed a piece (chunk) of hair missing from his bangs. Wasn't for quite awhile after that I found a picture of a butterfly in his closet with a "chunk" of blonde hair taped to it for the "fuzzy or furry" body!

I just got back from the BS and got a great report! She said my expanded breasts look excellent (they do considering) and the little bumps on the inside end of each scar are keloids as I expected. My twin is a huge keloid former and has had problems with them all her life. My scars looked excellent until my expander surgery and the BS said that could be a factor. The scars still look pretty good though .. I'm supposed to ask my PS if I can use Meladerma on them to try and get rid of the keloid.
I'm supposed to be napping now but this board is moving so fast today I want to catch up first. Working backwards ...

Audrey cut about 6 inches off of her hair last year simply because she just felt like it! Luckily it was very long and when I took her for a hair cut to even it out it was adorable. Shirley .. I'm with you in the clueless club! So enquiring minds want to know .. would you pick Deb's costume or Marsha's to wear around DH? LOL Wow, your daughter does drive fast! Sometimes it's really nice to be able to say "I told you so"! Googles calendar is Very cool! You can even share it and add public calendar events to yours. I have my daughters school calendar added to mine so every event, early dismissal, day off is automatically put on my calendar. Karl and I share with each other so we can see each other's appointments as well. All you have to do is customize your Google homepage and there's all kinds of content you can add to your page.
Shokk .. I agree, you need a mask when doing yardwork! The last thing you need is respiratory problems!

Laura .. BIG HUGS to you! So very sorry about your MIL and FIL too. Please let us know when you find out more. That sucks too about DH's job. I can relate in that Karl was laid off less than 3 months before our daughter was born. We were counting pennies. Then he got a job making more than he did at the job he was laid off from and he enjoyed the work more. After a year he got another job that he just couldn't turn down .. he's making almost twice what he did at the laid off job and has great benefits, including working from home. In the end it was one of those blessings in disguise things. I wish that for you and DH. Good luck at the dentist.

Hello everyone!
I'm back from my big Labor Day camping trip. We left last Thursday and got back late Monday. I had to work on Tuesday and catch up on all the chores today, so this is the first chance I've had to actually sit down and say "Howdy!"
We had an absolute blast! We went to Tioga County, which is in upstate central PA. It was beautiful!!! We went to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon (yes, it really exists) and took a long cycle ride to Lock Haven. We rode on all these back roads on top of the mountains. It was one of the best rides we have ever taken. There was a "fair" next to the camp ground that was only a glorified flea market with tractor pulls, LOL! But, on Sat. night, they had the most phenomenal fireworks display I've ever seen. On Sunday, we started the day with Mimosas and switched to hard stuff later on. We were all a total mess. We were there with all our buddies that we ride with. Everyone had the cocktail flu on Monday.
Oh, right before we left for the trip, I found that we had a leak in our propane tank. I couldn't believe it! We had no time to get it fixed, so we had to deal with turning the propane on and off the whole time we were there. DH looked at it yesterday and it is in the regulator, which is easy to fix.
I only read back on this page. I don't have time to catch up right now. If someone could give me the Cliff Notes version of important goings on, I'd appreciate it! Talk to everyone later!0 -
Good morning Circle. I can't seem to get my computer to pick up page 749, just won't let me in. Must be goodies on there or something. lol
Jazz, I wuv yuse. There's just not much gets by you and my other sharp as tacks friends. I've been busy with my Home Infusion Nurse, she got the first blood draw with the second stick and is coming back for another one real soon. Dang it if they could just hit a vein i wouldn't sweat it, but it's never easy. One of the nurses won't even come out coz I'm so hard to hit.
Re-scheduled my local dr. appt yesterday. Called and talked to the nurse and said if it was a necessary visit and he felt he needed to see me then I'd come but otherwise I'd like to put it off til next week, since I'm going to Iowa tomorrow and they said that would be fine. So I must be doing alright. My wound looks so much better, havent' had drainage since I was in the hosp. I just pray to Gos that in spite of this nasty infection my ankles is mending enough that i can bear more weight on it. I need it healed.
Whew, at least yesterday is over. What a mess. I've talked to Amy via posts and she's alright or if she isn't she didn't mention it.
This has been a very trying morning and my infusion nurse took 5 sticks to get the blood they need. Oh man to just have veins. But she got it. For another week. They'll probably want it tomorrow in Iowa but she's going to see if they'll take results from today and not have to do it again.

Shirley, it's easy in Outlook. When you schedule a task, look to see if you can make it a recurrence and set it for the 13th of every month or whenever you need to pay it, or the second Tuesday of every month. Works great.
Shokk, you have tornado warnings and it's about 82 outside today and will be gettin hotter this week.

BMD/Brenda, we have actually talked about retiring in Escondido. I guess the new downtown is right up hubby's alley - Friday nights during the summer they have car parades and we can get a house on the golf course for a reasonable price (reasonable by Bay Area standards). I'll definitely keep you and Lisa posted if I come your way. My hubby has mellowed too, he was a bad boy - I liked 'em bad back then.
Denise, start the positive thinking - it's not that you can't do that, it's how can you do that? We're gone all weekend but I'll have my laptop with me since the hotel has free high speed internet access. What about starting again as a part-time merchandiser in the stores, unless you want to stay in health care. My daughter is an LVN and lovveeeessss it.

Hello everyone,
Its been a whirl wind this week! sorry I havent checked in but just had too much going on. Just as an FYI my scans are Friday so the week just gets better and better.
ok starting off, Sunday afternoon we are working on building a bigger chicken house. Tucker is walking towards us (on flat ground) and trips and falls. Wrist immediately starts to swell and off to the house we go to ice it down. Its late by now so undecided on what to do. He says it hurts but looking at it, its not a typical looking break. I tell him we will go to a doc in the box on Monday being a holiday and let them x-ray just to make sure its ok. He doesnt think its broken cause he said it should hurt worse. We get to doc and the box, they x-ray and say needs to see a orthopedic surgeon as it appears his growth plate is not where it should be but its not a typical break. Yesterday we see orthopedic surgeon thinking cast it and move along and he takes several more x-rays, comes in reviews and says ok its surgery, lets try to do it 1st thing in the morning,,ok? My mouth was open, Tuckers was open and I was able to mumble out,,ok. He says growth plate moved upward and also broke a bone and chipped a corner off of one. Dr walks out and Tucker says surgery like hospital, like put you to sleep,, that kind of surgery??? Here he is thinking how cool a cast will be or at least he his thinking it will be right now but he never thought surgery. Everything went well this morning with the surgery and hopefully he is on the mend. He is in some pain but pain meds are good for that. Kids.................
Deb-I know it wasnt supposed to be funny but I just died laughing when you were looking for the "pail" website. You have canceritis no doubt and hoping they find a cure for that too one day.

DD plans on 'driving' 6 hours on Monday, going to the Zoo on Tuesday and either 'driving 6 hours back to Phx. on Wed. or flying out of San Diego on Thursday. DH is not to keen on the whole thing, but I won't hurt DD's feelings either...........she knows my take on it. I'd like to stay in San Diego with DH for the week. So far all I know is my Son's wedding is Nov. 3rd and I'll be there!!!! Wish me luck!

Off to a yoga class with a friend. I took a yoga class years ago (before cancer) and really liked it, but I'm not sure how this will be. It's in one of those places where they make it hot - sounds awful actually!
Glad to hear some good news in the circle, and nice to see some folks posting who we haven't seen in a bit.
