Well I did a big long post at the Hamptons today. I guess I can alternate from here and there. Hi everyone over here.
Lini-Your sweet but bikini's have left my wardrobe long ago. Although one of my ooph scares looks like a red tattoo of a cross. Sorry you missed the shaker. Its kind of cool when they happen and no one gets hurt. A rather odd sensation to have the earth move.
Cheri-Smoking is so hard to quit. I did it after smoking for 22 years. It has been 12 years for me. Good job and stick with it.
Candie-Please quit. We want you around for years to come.
Well I am off to put the kidlets to bed. They want to stay up and watch Kid Nation. We shall see how much they cooperate with getting ready for bed before I decide to let them stay up. I am extremely mad at dh tonight for not being home. He is over at his brother's working on the race car for the 4th night since Saturday. This makes me a pretty unhappy camper.

Good morning Circle ladies! Well, I see the movers and interior designers have been working last night and rearranged our home. I think its simply fantabulous. I love the collapsible categories.
I haven't been posting much but I have tried to read and keep up with everyone.
I had my performance review for work this week (Monday). I was a little anxious going in since I made a job move within my company back in May and wasn't quite sure how things would go. However, I received my best review I've ever had with this company. And, really I should have because last year I worked my fanny off for a project they pulled me into late because of scope creep. From October through March, I pulled some late nights getting in last minute changes for the project managers and testers. Unfortunately, no raise but that wasn't unexpected since we just had a layoff two weeks ago.
Brenda -- I hope you get things worked out with your mother's care. I would insist that your sister pull her fair share of the load. What is this crap that you don't work since you own a business. It has always been my understanding that self-employed business owners actually have to work MORE and HARDER than those of us working for someone else.
Sheri -- I'm so happy that Jacob is home. He should write a book about his experiences in Ecuador. I would love to hear his stories because he has more guts than I have ever had. I'm almost 50 and have always been afraid to travel to 3rd world countries because of some of the stories I've heard. I've been to Canada and Mexico and would love to go to Europe but you can forget any South American or Aisian countries for me.
Cheri -- that is great news about your white counts. It sounds to me like a lab tech goofed up the first blood test. How is the walking coming? Have you started using your cane yet?
Marsha -- how are things going for you? I don't think they will find anything in the other breast. I think its great that you have such a proactive doctor though that he's going to do an SNB on the non-affected side.
Liz -- how are your stomach issues coming? I hope you are feeling better.
Amy -- I love the picture of the baby goat. He is adorable.
Janice -- I hope you are back online soon. Thanks to those that are keeping us updated.
Nicki -- that is scary about what your friend said about the prospective manager. I guess I would try to see if I could talk to one of the last few who actually had that job to see if I could get any insight into what the real issues were.

Cheri, I think you ar doing awesome with your no smoking. I'm an ex smoker, two packs a day for 15 years, so I know how hard it is to quit and you are doing great. I won't lie, there are times that I think a cigarette would taste good but it passes, and you know what, that first one actually tastes pretty bad. Hang in there. PM me CY's phone number and I'll try to call her today.

Good morning
Well, if it's not one thing it's another. After my knee surgery (which was 3 weeks ago) I found black and blues all over my torso. Maybe I had mentioned to you already but my PCP did blood work and all was ok. They went away and she said if it happened again she would send me to a hematologist. I was taking a low dose aspirin everyday per my cardiologist but I hadn't taken it in 5 days. So I still haven't started it again and now I have a rash on my belly and rear. Have had it for about a week....now on the side of my breast also. I scratch so much, that now I have black and blues all over my belly. I have been using hydrocortisone cream but it only helps for a lil while. I am gonna try a benadryl this morning and I guess I will go to see my PCP again. I must say, ever since I had this damn BC, it just never stops. Maybe the chemo made my body weak tho I feel ok. Or it's cause I am in my 50's. I just don't know. I do know that I am so sick and tired of going to Drs. It just doesn't stop. I know this is smalll compared to what some of you are going through but nonetheless it is depressing.
Have a good day and I will post later after I do some reading. Just needed to vent to people who understand. My sisters just say--oh its always something with you!!! I can't help it--I am not doing this on purpose.

Candie...tell your dear sister (not) to shut up. Sorry but...wth...know that you can always come here and tell us. We understand better than anyone else. I've had this creeping crud flu for days and been a complete whiner about it...I am like you...sick of one thing after another. Hugs to you and a kick in the behind for your sister.
Jasmine...glad your review went well! Good for you!! We have been lookin all over the place for you and we were ready to send out a posse. I got the package and I thank you...it is so very sweet!
Margaret...good morning...I too like the changes they made during the night. I am slowly getting used to the new look. I think that we have had so many changes in our lives that we just weren't ready for another one!
ok...back to work with me...if anyone has Jankays number at the hospital could you pm it to me or Angel...Angel needs it and I have it but it is at home.

Good morning Circle. I like what they've done with the place, too. I think it'll just take time but they are making progress. I need to spend more time checking out how to post pics and the PM's. I haven't made either one familiar yet. For all I know the pics may be the same.
I have PT today at noon today. Just as I typed that I realized what time it was and I was late on starting my infusion! I have to start right at 10 and i was about 20 min late. They let me move back an hr from 11:00 so I wouldn't have to be up quite so late cos I have to infuse 12 hrs. apart. My PT is supposed to be here at noon after my infusions are over and I'm hoping i'm finished by then. Dang it, I can't believe I was late on it.
My PT is going to work with me and my cane on going up and down my front porch steps today. I thought I was going to have to drive myself to my dr. tomorrow but my dh came home last night and going to stay long enough to take me. My little PT girl told me if I can drive then I can do outpatient PT. Duh. I told her if I can get up & down my stairs and drive then i don't need PT anymore. She agreed. We both have kinda decided this would be my last PT today.
Jazz, bout time you posted. Congrats on the good review. Shoot I knew you would do well. I don't know what happened with the WBC but at least it's normal and that's all I care about. Whew! WOW, what do you all think happened there? Hmm. I don't know how to get the font back to normal. I feel like I'm shouting but man, it sure is easy on my old eyes. LOL You asked about walking with my cane, I've been working on it but it hurts and I don't like pain. lol But then who does? Never mind....don't answer that. I'm going to post this and see if I can get back to normal and finish my posting here. Not yelling at you Jazz. hahaha

Cherylnc, I hate that 'always something' thing too. When I mention that I don't feel good my dd tells me 'oh you never feel good'. GRRR. I try to keep in mind though that I haven't been well for about 8 yrs and then she went with me to every dr appt. for my bc and all my chemos and most of my rads. So I guess to her it does feel like i've been sick forever, she's only 24. I try not to complain much and keep a good attitude and I actually do pretty well, if I do say so myself. haha
Vickster, gee girl friend hope you get over that nasty crud and start to feel better. Nice talking to you last night on IM. We used to talk all the time and now we hardly have a chance.
OMG, I have been sitting here checking my antibiotics every little bit and it didn't look like it had even been dosing and I was in such a rush when I realized I was late that I did't unclip the clip that released the med. hahahahha This is going to make my little, smile-less PT even more irritated. hahahaha Dang, I am so rattled today. I was fine until I realized I was late on my med hook up and I don't have the PT's phone #, ooooh she gonna be so mad. hahahaha

Thanks Jazz for the encouraging words on my surgery. I am freaked out at the SNB "just in case" but wouldn't want to have another one if the path came back icky. OK, the path IS NOT going to come back icky.

Hi ya Circle. Well it just so happened that my PT girl was late. LOL After all that worrying she got here just about the time I finished meds. I am officially discharged from PT. WooHoo! I thought she was young and fresh to this is why she was so good at it but....she is 40 yrs. old and been at her job 18 yrs.!! I hate her. She does not look a day over about 29. Anyway, I can now get in & out of my own house all by myself with just a cane. You all would've been so proud of me! I know I was! hahaha Now my foot hurts pretty bad but I have self satisfaction so I can handle the pain. One more step to getting well.
I had a new onc appt back the first part of Aug. and I couldn't walk and have never made a new one. Sooo, I'm thinking after I get back from Iowa next week then i need to concentrate on my bc again. I've been alternating on the two for the past few months.
Gina, I posted on you board and this one too that I have CherylCYs hospital phone #. I'll PM it to you.
Marsha!! Hey girly friend. Geeze it's good to see you posting here. I think you're dr is just being cautious and you have nothing to worry about.

Cheri, I called CY but my boss came in and needed me. I should have had at least 40 minutes if I needed it but I called her later than planned. I was on hold with AT&T regarding my home phone bill and long distance charges. The customer service rep, when she finally came on, told me I could call the numbers I was questioning myself to see who they were - told her didn't think so since I just spent 45 minutes waiting for her. Then she called the numbers, told me that two of the numbers were my cleaning lady's sister and the name of the other call. Well, my bill was for charges on a Friday night, my cleaning lady is here on Thursday days so she would not have had access to my phone. The rep told me they didn't think I was entitled to a credit!!! I told the rep she had better credit me since we have FREE long distance on our cell phones; she finally did but with great hesitation. $40 a month for a phone we don't use - I got mad and took off all long distance, it's blocked, and call waiting, caller id, etc. so now it's a basic phone. GRRRR. Sorry, had to get that out cuz that's why I didn't have much time to talk to CY. I'll try to call her later.
Candie, one of the girls at work has a rash all over her body - she takes allergy medicine every day and the hydrocortisone cream wasn't working on it. She's taking Benadryl right now. Maybe something is going around - her doc thought it might be food allergies.
Marsha, IT IS NOT going to come back icky.
Cheri, I just read you no longer have to have PT. You go girl.....

Cheryl, I had surgery for a torn miniscus,too. Also, the doc tightened my knee cap--it was loose-.Knee getting better--less and less pain everyday.

Well, I decided to go see the Dr. about this rash and black and blues. I have an appt for tomorrow. I can't stand it anymore and my body looks like a war zone. My mom thinks maybe it is the laundry detergent--have used t before and wouldn't it affect my whole body.
I am still at work--doing a 9-9 day today...need the overtime. I'll try to check in later, if not, have a great night and a peaceful sleep.
Oh, why is Cy in the hospital?

Good evening Circle. Hope you all had a nice day. I am really tired after Miss Congeniality finished with me on my PT today. LOL I feel like I accomplished alot but I'm ready for bed and can't go cos I have to dose in another few hours.
You know, I thought sure my dr was going to take me off the IV meds at home, tomorrow when I saw him. I had just enough drugs to get me through to seeing him. Now what happens? I get another anitbiotic delivery!! Suppose that's a bad sign? We've got more little styrofoam coolers around here cos that's what my meds come in. I mean why else would he have ordered more meds if he was going to take me off them? He wouldn't. Dang it. Tomorrow ends my 6 weeks, twice a day infusions. Makes me wonder what he's going to do with me.
Margaret, I did that to our home phone, just put on the very basic plus internet and we just use it for the computer. Don't even have a phone hooked up anymore. We use our cells. Which is great except a little while ago I tried to call Cherylcy and it was breaking up, don't know why I had a full signal. I told her I'd call her back.
There's several of you all that got her number today and I know she appreciates the calls.
I also talked to Jankay earlier. She sounds real good. She said she might have to go home for a couple of weeks before they found her a place to live but she sounded happy and relaxed. She'd been walking a little and that's good. She said tell all of you she misses you.
Candie, glad you got a dr.s appt. cos it sounds like you needed one. Be sure and let us know what is wrong. Good luck to you. I know you must be terribly uncomfortable. So sorry.

Hello everyone .. Most of you will read this in the morning I guess. I'm having trouble keeping up with all my friends in various places these days plus caring for my kids and my SO.
Candie .. I would love to retire to the Outerbanks I think. You're very lucky, it takes me 4 hours to get to the shore. Not too bad but with kids it's a tough day trip!
CherylnC .. Did you get your test results back yet? Waiting can be the hardest part sometimes. You're right about google and too much info at times. Hugs to you.

Good Morning Everyone: Looks like they are improving things. I was able to actually get on the site this morning without it taking forever. I really do like the changes they made with all the forums.
As far as being a circle girl - I have been here since the day NS started it over a year ago. August 22, 2006. And posted everyday. So - if anyone is questioning why I havent come on here more - its because of all the problems with the new site. I seem to be getting "down for maintenance" alot. Yes, Im spending most of my time at The Hamptons. I like it there. And my new habit is to go there first - as I have so ittle computer time during the week. At least with the week-end coming, I will have more time. But The Hamptons? Its the best.
MargaretB: Im so glad the airborne worked for you. I was so worried you were gonna be sick while in Las Vegas. There is so much creepy crud going around. I always wash my hands, but Im washing them alot more often. Cringe when I see someone cough in their hand and then press the elevator button. Yuck!
Well I see they still havent fixed somethings. Everytime I edit my post I go back to the original page. Takes 2 extra steps to get back here! I have never handled change well.
Jasmine: So good to see a post from you. Congratulations on the good review. Whew! right after some people got layed off. Everyone needs to hear they are doing good. I have made my decision. Im not gonna proceed with that job. Got a call and a message left on my cell phone for another interview. Havent called them back yet, but I will today and tell them I am no longer interested. At this point in my life, I dont want to jump into any fires.
Candie: Sure sounds like your having an allergic reaction to something. I was taking lose dose aspirin everyday. Then got a severe allergic reaction to it. Cant take it anymore - as not only did I get hives, but my lips swelled. Ever since bc, I feel like I spend my life in doctors offices. Never thought I would have so many different ones. Im a smoker - not proud of it - dont have the willpower. Weak weak weak. So I do understand how your feeling.
Well my time is up, I have missed many - but gotta go hit the showers. Have a good Friday.

Candie, good luck with the itching. I am experiencing some itching problem but it's on my head - I though I had psoriasis but I don't think that's what it is. It's driving me crazy. It's nothing like lice but I dont know what it is.
Nicki, Joe wasn't feeling good the other night and sounded like he was coming down with a cold. Happened to have Airborne on the nightstand with water so guess what I made him take. He's fine now.
It's hard trying to post in both places with litle computer time. See you at the Hamptons.

Good morning Circle. I hope all are having a good day. I have my Infection Control dr. appt. this afternoon. Little nervous bout it. I'll find out if I get to stop my home infusions. My original 6 weeks are up today although they did deliver more meds last night. I'll just do whatever he thinks is best. I like this dr. and I trust him. He's the same dr I had 8 yrs ago with the same infection. He then had me on just 6 weeks of home infusions with a PICC line but then changed meds and put me on another 7 weeks. Hmm. Gee, I hope there's not a pattern there! LOL I'm not gonna fight him on it though if he wants me to stay on the home infusions cos I want to get well. I'll do whatever that calls for.

Vickie - I'm still around. Been very busy with work (had to leave my house at 6:30 yesterday morning to be in OK City by 8:30 for a meeting and was gone all day) YUCK!

CherylinC -- do you eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice? I had high liver enzyme readings one time and we finally figured out it was all the pink grapefruit juice I was drinking. So, even though I love it, no more for me. I could go through a gallon in two days. Yum!
