awwww Vicki, big hugs hon.Nathaniel will forgive you. I'm sure he already has. Breakfast in bed. That brings back memories of moldy lettuce and undercooked eggs. Good memories. So just give him a hug and a sloppy smooch and let him cook dinner.

    Good Morning circle girls,

Chemosabi-its not me on the 17 day thing becoming a habit. I think its great that you have made it 3 or 4. Are you trying to make some of us look bad or what? I work my butt off on the weekends but during the week its all I can do to get to work and feed animals. I guess I am more like the weekend warrior type.

Shirley-I heard the corks flying from my end of the circle when you announced your son got a job. Thats great! Hopefully this will be a great start for him.

Laura-glad the biopsy is over and crossing my fingers for good news.

Susan-Love the stars. Great idea to post a link to it as our pages continue to grow.

NS-Insurance problems suck for sure. I know because I am supposed to have an MRI on thursday and insurance is saying they wont pay for some reason. Right now the nurses are fighting it. I hate how insurance predicts our medical treatment! Oh boy, dont get me started on that one. I have METS give me what I want, lol.

purpleMB-pizza for tonight sounds great. Have fun at your Kung Fu lesson tonight. Sorry to hear you have dropped off the state map also. My town is not on there either. We do have one country store though.

Newvickie-making a move to get here first. I thought that would never happen, lol. Nice move but dont look for me around that time of the morning.

ok gotta run-Mazer is kicking up her hills ready for her mid morning trot around the circle and to play with distorted humor.

Oh my before I go, remember the little puppy that I found. Well, it gets better. Sunday night I rode out to check on the donkeys and as I turned on my road there were 4 pups in the middle of the road. I stopped the truck and got out and got them all like I needed them. Obviously dumped and bad smell was not the word for it. I took them home gave them all baths, gave them worm medicine and there 7 in 1 shot and I have them in a little pen with heat lamps and bringing them in at night. I have no idea what kind they are. There is 4, 2 black and white and 2 brown and white. I would guess some type of terrier pup but not sure. They wont be huge dogs but not small either. I guess mid size. I am such a sucker and even though they are abandoned dogs I would need an application for somebody to adopt one. I want them to have great homes because they sure didnt have it up until now. It is so scary to run an add about free pups because you just never know. They were very skiddish but have made a 100% turn around. So far they have names of Jackson, Libby, Emma and Abby. 1 boy and 3 girls. Anybody need a dog? Amy

Oh Amy...You NAMED the pups? Forget it girlfriend...they are yours now! My kids know the unwritten rule that if we name an animal we have to keep it, and more than that we can't EAT it...thus all my baby chickens get names as soon as they are hatched....my kids just smile and introduce me to each chick Enjoy your new pups

I know I know you never name them but whats a pup with no name?!? The chickens I had in the past all had names and I cant wait to get new chickens. I cant do that till I live on the farm full time though. My son named the last pup last night because I had one that didnt have a name and of course then he said, we are keeping them right? I couldnt even answer the boy because I cant say no. They are going to the vet tomorrow for a good checkup by the way. Geesh, I need a wing at my vet named after me because my money has built it. Oh well, life goes on,,right?

If you see 4 pups running around the wagon circle and you want one of them just let me know and I am sure we can work it out.

Ok, I remember what I was going to say. Onc appointment was yesterday. It went great. My lungs are ok, my ribs are ok and my onc (who I trust a lot) says if I don't want more surgery the ovaries can stay. She said they take ovaries of women who are younger because it greatly reduces the amount of estrogen the body produces. And if you are post-menopaual, like moi, they used to take them because they thought that if you had BC you had a greater chance of getting ovarian cancer. But now they are finding out that's not true. My chances of getting OC are the same as the regular female population. So to make a long story short, unless they hurt no need to take them out. I was relieved. I really would like to avoid more surgery. And since I have alerted every doctor in SW Missouri that I have a cyst on my ovary I don't think there is much of a chance we could overlook it if I started developing some strange symptoms.

    I love my onc.

NS, so sorry about the doctor/insurance suckiness. I've had that happen before. All my doctors stopped taking insurance. My reimbursements were reduced and I had to fill out all the paperwork and they were always turning me down for one reason or another. I joined an HMO. It just got sooo expensive.

Nicki congratulations on the exercise. Keep it up. Do some everyday even if you don't feel like doing much. Just do something.

Cheryl, very nice pictures. D&C when did that happen. I must have been asleep. Sorry! Hope everything goes well.

Liz, if you have a bra on, no one can tell if you have a nipple or not. FWIW that's my $.02.

Newvickie, how can you eat all that chocolate and stay so slender. If I didn't love you I would hate you. LOL

Shirley, glad your son has a job. That's reason to celebrate.

Debbyfive, you haven't been around the circle for a while. Hope you are doing good.

Robin, praying for a boil free day for you.

ppfffttt...Susan you make me laugh! I am so happy you had a good oncologist appointment...it sounds like all is well and under control.
and chocolate...good Lord...I don't know what I'm going to do...it's all I want! This slim figure isn't going to stay this way if I keep it up the way I have! Don't worry...I'm eating other healthy food too...every single thing in sight! Seems like I am constantly hungry, cold or hot, up or down...what happened to the middle ground...it's all extremes with me.
    Love you too

Hi girls, been a busy day for me once again. I can’t remember when the last time I got up and just sat for the day. LOL A big cold front with very strong winds is supposed to hit here tonight so tomorrow just may be that day.

Jeanette, so sorry you’ve been sick. Hope you’re feeling better. Breakfast sounded wonderful. Sorry I missed it.

Vickie, I remember doing the same thing when my son was little. I felt soooooo bad. I made it up to him by taking him to McDonalds for dinner. He was fine after I apologized a gazillion times.

Tgirl, hope you get your computer soon. I so hated it when mine died and I was waiting for the new one to come in.

MB, the tent looks wonderful. Thanks so much for doing it. Dinner sounds great! But I am so trying to be good and stay on the diet. Pizza isn’t on it. Ugh!

NS, I so hate insurance companies. I used to work for one and then filed insurance for a few years.

Amy, what a wonderful person you are. I would love to have a lot of dogs but DH is saying no way! Only because he has spoiled this one rotten.

DebC, I would name my grandparents baby chicks since we had the same rule. Thanks for the great memory.

Laura, thinking of you. Hope you're not too sore.

Susan, I so love hearing good news. Only reason I had my ovaries out was I was having some other surgery and asked the doc to take them since he was going to be in the area. I agree on the bra thing. Right now, I don’t wear one.

Okay, they just flashed on the TV screen to make sure everything is secure and to make sure you have batteries, etc. They’re saying the winds may cause power outages. Geez! We had an ice storm in 2000 and I DO NOT want to go through a power outage like that again. If I’m gone for a few days, you’ll know why.

I have a big pan of brownies with walnuts in the oven. Nothing like warm brownies. Too bad I can’t eat them. I’ll share with my wonderful cyber family.

I figured out how to post all this without losing it and editing. I just type it all in word and copy and paste. So far it's working.

Hugs and Prayers to all and those I’ve missed.

    Liz

Oh for whomever is making the pin map, I’m in North Central Oklahoma

Yup...Nathaniel is going to get a gazillion apologies tonight...still feeling so guilty. He is such a doll.
I remember when my daughter was about his age (he's 7, she's 25 now)she hated to go to school...it was a case of dragging her kicking and screaming to the bus...every day. I got so disqusted with her one morning as I was trying to fix breakfast that I put her in her snowsuit, zipped her up, shoved her boots on, opened the door and set her little butt in the snowbank and slammed the door. I peeked out the window not 2 or 3 minutes later to see her sweet little face with the tears just rolling! I thought I'd die of shame. I felt so horrible and she didn't go to school that day (boy was I a sucker). Would you believe that I have felt guilty about that for years...I told her that this past summer and guess what

SHE DOESN'T EVEN REMEMBER IT!!! AAAUUUGGHHHH.

I guess we all need to keep that in mind. Our children are much more forgiving of our mistakes then we are forgiving of ourselves.
(hmm...don't know if that comes out right but you know what I mean)
hugs all...almost time to go home for the day!! YIPPEE

Susan - Wow! Thanks for the star! I feel official now!

Liz - So glad all went well!

NS - Sadly, it's back to the take-out wagon tonight. But, 2 real meals in a row, 3 if you count left-over night, was pretty good for me!!

A Nordic Trak has just been added to the exercise tent (there is an exercise tent right?) for everyone's enjoyment. Just tried it out - a full 20 minutes. Woo hoo!

Jeannette - food poisoning - yech!

Vicki - I'm sure he understands. I hate the "man I'm such a loser" guilty feeling, have been experiencing it WAY too frequently myself lately!

Susan - cracking up that it was the great onc appt that slipped your mind. I'm pretty sure that's a good sign!!

OK, scared I'm going to lose this again so off I go to post.

Everyone - have a great night!!

    Good Afternoon Girls
Damp and dreary day again. Can't wait to see the sun. They're calling for some tomorrow ... that will do us good.
Thanks to all who wished my mom well ... she is fine now. I hope she decides to move into a home near here ... I worry with her being so far away.

I may be answering some posts a day late ... didn't have time to check in yesterday, was working on the circle map. So far I have the map created and today I just got an idea that I am going to try... I am going to try and borrow Susan's stars and paste them onto my map.

Shirley ... yes Sherloc was very nice to me You actually answered several of my questions when I was first dx and freaking right out.

Cheryl.... Yeah, I spent a lot of time on the map yesterday too. Got the map now just have to find out where everyone is. I think I will try to copy and paste Susan's stars onto the map. If you have a better idea please let me now

Newvickie... my onc told me we are officially cancer free after surgery so they count that as our anniversary date. Tell me about mood swings!! I cannot believe how fast my moods change lately. Thanks for bringing Bruce to the circle... certainly brightened my day

lv2cmp... thanks for info on bag balm. I am glad there is no strong smell as I seem to be hyper sensitive to smells since chemo.

lynn48... yep 2 heads (or in this case Cheryls) are better than one I see Cheryl is already working at it too and I appreciate the help. That was a beautiful pic you posted.
I am still posting challeged Usually I'm pretty good with computer stuff but can't seem to post in here.

Laura... glad to hear the procedure went well. I supposed you will be hearing tomorrow. Just know you will be ok and sending B9 vibes your way. Pretty crowded in that parking lot LOL people were staring at the wagons... geez you'd think they never saw a circle of wagons before

Susan... thanks for the link to the stars. Makes us all feel part of the circle. If you don't mind I am going to try and copy/paste your stars onto my map of the circle.

Jeannette... thanks for offering help with my pin map, I sure need it If you don't mind I will PM you when I get the ones I know on there. Maybe you can help me round up the stragglers!

Purplmb... it's me trying to do the pin map, and don't worry we won't take you off of map. How rude

Amy... you're sunk now. Naming those puppies almost guarantees you're keeping them

Deb C.... sorry I don't have any additional information for your friend. Bring him into the circle anyway we will take care of him. Hope you feel a little more cheery today. Looking at your avatar always makes me smile

Robin... how goes it? hope things are healing quickly for you.

Well I better post this before losing it all to cyberspace!
Hugs and prayers to all that I have missed. I think of you all everyday and wish you well.
    CherylG

Ooops... sorry Liz just noticed your post. I will add you to the map

Oh Lordy! Its been a busy day in the circle. Just got home from work and thought I would say H1"

Jeannette: Hmmmm, seems like there is a stomach virus going around, which has the same symptoms as food poisoning. And gall bladder disease too. Im glad you went to the medic tent and happier you are feeling better. Holiday Shopping!! Oh my.

LauraGTO: Hope your feeling better this evening. The longer you come to the circle, the more you will learn about that cutie "Distorted Humor." He's a real racehorse and a real champion. But now hes a breeder and he loves girls. So he's smiling you enjoyed the nudge.

Vickie: The only way I can talk to all of you is respond with each post I read. "Crying at your desk." I hate those kinds of days. But ya know, I have learned, we are human! So we are allowed to have our days. Im hoping now that its evening, your feeling better.

Tgirl: You are so funny. Sometimes I wake up at 4:00am but make myself go back to sleep! And I hate to admit, but sometimes I have gotten up that early!!

Vickie: Oh my, those pictures of Bruce are, ummm! delightful.

PurpleMB: Remember me? I that crazy woman, Dr. Chemosabi who decided she didnt need her Lexapro!! Still having "irritable moment." So0000. Oh no no no, Nicki is not talking about smoking. Lets just say - soon my dear, soon. OK, I will try a push up against the wall. But Im an old lady! But now its a challenge.

Amy: Oh you and I are alike in many ways. The puppy story? I loved it. From the time I was a kid, I would bring home strays. Even brought home a rooster once and tried to convince my father it was gonna lay eggs!! I just love puppies. Our local newspaper wont let people advertise free puppies and kittens. So ask for a little bit nad "Would Make A Great Christmas Present." Then you could sort of interview the people. Since I have what I call "bad generation puppy" yes thats "Mister, the Monster." Half black lab, half border collie and all Monster - anothr puppy for me? Oh no no no!!

Susan: Oh my, the visit with your onc sounds like it was great. He relieved all your concerns and does indeed sound like a great onc. OK, so I dont have the time yet - but sometime soon, you will see a "I got the breast cancer blueeeeees." Song! And Ill be looking for others to contribute!! Lines that is - and I think some of it should be funny too.

Liz: Oh! Big winds and no power - I dont like the sounds of that. Today in Chicagoland it was a typical gloomy, cloudy, beginning of Winter day. I dont know if I mentioned the nip thing to you, but I have an appointment with my PS on 11-29 and Im telling him no Nips! Im done. I look good in a bathing suit and would look fairly good in a bra if I could figure out the right size lol. And I can go braless!! The big issue for me is he probably wont need to see me for a while, and that means I will go through big time PS withdrawal. Hes been a regular appointment for over a year!!

Colleen: Oh a nordic track. I probably would go 10 seconds on it lol. This is my biggest problem. So ok, Im starting to enjoy exercising. Can dance in front of a wall of mirrors! Do small hand weights, ab doer and treadmill. But, it cuts into my computer time and I have to come to this site before I go to work!! A nordic skier - very motivating.

Cheryl: This map thing sounds so coooooel. I might just get one myself. Would love to look up and see how far apart we are, yet so close.

Sherloc: This is a tough thread. Maybe cause it has so many pages. When you start to post, just say hi! and save. Then go in and edit. It seems to work better for me that way. I absolutely hate it when I think I have written something profound lol, and then lose it.

Well time to go, husband made a wonderful dinner. Baked ham, home made cole slaw and a wonderful tossed salad. Lots for everyone.

From my heart, missing Peggy, Mena, and Designing Diva.

    Looking for Tinairene and Sherdon.

See ya in the morning. Now who may I ask will beat me tomorrow morning

    have a great evening

Hi CGs, I am just starting to perk up today, Day 8 after A/C #3. Wow, that was a tough one. I am hoping #4 is not any worse, because I don't know how I will get through it if it is!

Talking about guilt over children, I also have had a few incidents that I am not very proud of. Thankfully I am pretty sure that my boys don't remember them (when they were very little I got really stressed out once in a while and sometimes it led to a lot of yelling that would reduce the poor little guys to tears). Right now I am dealing with the guilt of not being able to mother them the way I normally do. For instance, I have not been able to help get them to bed in weeks, since I have been going to bed before them! I miss reading to them and tucking them in. I feel like I am missing out....they will never be this age again, but I am too tired and sick to cherish this time like I should!

Oh well, there's nothing to be done about it. Sacrificing this year of my life is my investment in my future so that I can be here for the rest of their ages right? But sometimes it still does not seem fair....

    Prayers and hugs to all!

Oh Kristin...I felt the same way when I was going through chemo...poor Nathaniel got strep throat every single time I went for chemo. Sooo...cuddling and hugging and kissing were dangerous for me. He was so very good about it but I felt terrible. He had his own little bottle of hand santitizer and used it faithfully. I got very upset at one of my chemo appointments because the school called me at the hospital to tell me he was sick again and I totally lost it...the nurses were wonderful...stocked me up with masks and gloves and antibiotics and told me to go home and cuddle him anyway!
Nicki...wondering if NS has seen the pics of Bruce yet...noticed that she hasn't checked in today...maybe she's stuck on that page!
I am really hoping that I DON'T beat you up in the morning...tired out tonight...to tired to take notes.
Missing Mena, Designing Diva, Peggy, Debbyfive, so many others...where is everyone?
Sending sweet dreams and love to all

It took me a while to find your original post asking about the GTO. I must have missed it when you first posted. YUP...we have an '04 GTO that is quite heavily modified for racing. In fact, as we "speak" a new engine (long block) is being custom built for it in CA. My dh blew the existing engine in the 1/4 mile when he deployed the Nitrous! Can't wait to have it up and running - hopefully soon. When I was first dx'd one of the calming factors was taking the "goat" for a drive. Let me know what hot-rod you admire. Here's a photo of our "Goat" that was featured on the front cover of our Christmas cards last year (most people feature their kids, their dogs, their family...not me and my dh):

OHHH Vickie!! You know me so well!! You sure have sent my imagination racing! THANK YOU!!!!

Amy, I have trouble with every thing I need done. It took over a month to get my PET/CT approved. Once for a breast MRI they would only approve one breast. The facility said that they do BOTH so not to worry- but it just makes you wonder just WHO is making these decisions for us???

MB- Just me for dinner but I can bring as much food as my Mini can carry!

Susan- SO GLAD NO MORE SURGERY!!! YAY!!!

Hey Cheryl!!! How did your D&C go today? How are you feeling???

Nicki, I love hearing the backround stories of Distorted Humor! You asked about my insurance, it is an HMO where a PCP has to refer everything.

Colleen, take out is fine with me tonight!

Kristin, that is so right. You are sacrificing THIS little piece of time in order to have forever with your kids. It will be over soon, and you will be back to normal.

Laura, I just LOVE your car!

Amy since you named the pups you are hooked. Once I named my stray he adopted ME!

If the sun doesn't come out soon I think we are all going to turn into wombats or someother creature with enormous eyes that only see at night!!!

Well i started this morning off scrapping ice from the windows so I could see to get to the hospital. As promised I was the first one on the list for surgery today. they did find several polyps and sent them for testing but think they will not show anything. Thanks goodness!

For the first time ever I didn't get sick from the anateisa, must have been you girls watching out for me.
I came home and slept it off and feel pretty good now.

I've been trying to get the map thing to work with no luck. I even tried to add it to my blog to see if I could get it to work there. I'm sure someone can get it to work. I just can't seem to.

Niki exercise 4 days in a row, wow! I'm impressed! I keep telling the girls at work I'm going to go to the gym with them but the Dr. appointments keep getting in the way! And there is no way I could get up early in the morning to do it. I like sleeping in to much! I'm not a morning person.

Susan I like the circle of stars that's so cool!

I didn't take notes and I'm drawing a big blank. But know that you are all in my thoughts & prayers.

So glad things went ok! I have had polyps. My doc called them baby fibroids.

I am on Long Island if you ever figure out that map- I wish I could help but I can't even read paper ones!

Vickie- I keep coming back to this page to look and daydream at Bruce. You made it so realistic!!! OH MY!

Thanks to Cheryl I started a website which contains a guest map. The site is very rough but the map is up and running
    www.cherylg.org
Just go into my site and click on GuestMap
You can add your own icon in the appropriate location. If you have a hard time PM me your location and I will do it for you. I will go in tomorrow and add some sisters .... too tired tonight

I hope to add more pages and links soon. If anyone has suggestions or things they would like to see added please PM me. Might make a good meeting place for the Circle

Hi ladies - just passing on this message from Mena:

I tried like six times to post at the Wagon Circle. I wrote about six or seven posts and they all wouldn't post because I kept getting a message saying my time had expired and the post was no longer valid. Please tell the CG's I said hello and think of the Wagon Circle every day. It's a lovely image in my mind which has lately been like being in a very bad neighborhood.
