Dancing with the Stars

I didn't care for her either. Apparently there is no criteria for being a judge.
I think the term 'lackluster' pretty much sums up the season so far......

uh oh, spoiler alert! And by that I mean, the show will be spoiled tomorrow by replacing Erin with Leah Remini. She will be a guest host. Ugh. From bad to worse.

I haven't been able to summon any enthusiasm for DWTS this season and from your comments it looks like I haven't missed much by not watching.

I agree Badger, this has been a terrible season.

Is Erin too tied up with football? She was towering over some player she was interviewing last week. But can Leah Remini be worse than whoever that guest judge was last week or was it the week b4. Shows you how much attention I'm not paying.

While Leah wasn't a favorite of mine, at least "she's been there, done that". Many guest judges seem like they have no clue at all about judging. Not impressed with Julianne Hough as a judge. Don't get me wrong, I think she's a great dancer, but it seems to me her interest is more on have the spotlight and attention on her than her judging.

Lea is filling in as a host, not a judge. She'll be the one speaking endless jibber jabber to all the contestants after their routines. At least it's double elimination, get rid of some bad dancers of which there are many still on the dance floor.

I think Julianne is trying to find her niche. She doesn't bother me as a judge and I think she's vying for a permanent position when some of the other judges leave. I look for that to happen after this year. I think Carrie Anne isn't happy sitting so close to Julianne because it makes Carrie Anne look older and less hip. It throws the judges' dynamic off because the addition of a fourth judge disperses their energy a different way.

I catch it on tape and find I'm not even really looking at the dances much. Oops! Guess I should watch it instead of getting involved In my books. LOL

I wonder how the ratings are doing this year? I don't think it can be just us who are disappointed.

* I thought everybody looked better than last week so, even though no one absolutely thrilled me, that was encouraging.
* I found Leah less annoying than Erin.
* I liked the opening number.
* I gave Antonio an extra vote just because he was so nice to Cheryl when her dad was sick.
* I hope that sometime they will pair Emma with a really good partner.
* Tommy must have a really big fan base......

I really liked Janel tonight and Alfonso and yes I too gave Antonio an extra vote for his kindness, rather 'give' one to him than to Tommy or Michael, so I guess they have big fan bases. I love Pitbulls music but I don't think he added anything as a judge, this fourth judge who doesn't know the first thing about dance is annoying., almost as annoying as Julianne, you should read all the comments on their FB page, people keep ragging them about the fourth judge and most people didn't have a clue who Pitbull was (I go to dance classes and his music is used in a lot of these classes that's why I know and like it) and I though Leah did a fine job.

To my surprise, I didn't hate Leah and even preferred her over Erin. It seemed like Tom Bergeron enjoyed her as cohost, too.
Pit bull, never heard of him, but liked that his comments were short and to the point.
Average night, it was Sadies best dance so far, Bethany doesn't seem to have the kind of charisma you look for in a celebrity. Alfonso was okay. Didn't care for Lea Thompson.
I would also like to see Emma with a good and younger partner.

OK totally confused. Dallas Cowboys on tonight on ABC. But I am in the Dallas area. Is anyone else's preempted? Seems we get a delayed broadcast at 1 am. Needless to say they've lost me tonight. I have an old VCR that will barely record. DH won't spring for DVR until old, old TV dies (keep hoping dog will "accidentally" throw a toy into the screen). Just want to know if anyone else is in this timewarp. Not on the alternate broadcast channel either.

Now I get it. It's really on ESPN but the nuts in Dallas have to put it on local channel. I think I just watched my last DTWS. Thanks WFAA channel 8 in Dallas.

We have two channels on our cable TV that broadcast ABC which helpsbecause one is out of Pittsburgh and one is out of Youngstown, Ohio and sometimes one of them will be airing something specific to their city, preempting programming. So we watch.the other channel for shows.
I had even forgot about the show tonight, that's howmdull it is this season. But I will watch.
On a related note, Derek Hough has a small recurring acting role in the show "Nashville" this season. I absolutely love the show.

no scheduling problems here, but almost have no interest. Just curious who leaves as after last week, it makes no sense. IMO others should have gone before Joanthan

It's on here the at regular time.

Oh Ruth it's just the Dallas Cowboys nuts. It was on the 5 pm news and I've rec'd a couple of tweets from the station about the 1 am broadcast.

Good Grief!

Can't miss them Cowboys even if they are on ESPN. I'm sure ratings figure in.
For all my griping I did find it was online. Managed to hear results. I was surprised it was available. I still watch General Hospital in spurts. ABC does not support DirecTV as a satellite affiliate so I would have to wait a week to see replays. Needless to say I don't bother.

Just watch the group dances. They were good.

My Thoughts:
* Either they need to give the judges more time for their remarks, or shut Julianne up quicker.....
* Tommy & Michael...no and no.....seriously, what are either of them still doing on the show?????
* I didn't think Antonio was as bad as the judges thought
* I thought Janel & Bethany did well
* I liked Alfonso the best
* others were 'okay'

I though Tommy actually did pretty good today.
I liked both the group dances. But i actually thought the Rocky horror Time warp was better.
But today I thought the regular dances were pretty blah. It seems they were all struggling today.

I absolutely loved both team dances. Great performances, fun to watch.
Individual dances: Len was exactly right saying Leah and her partner didn't have chemistry. We all know if Derrick was with her, she'd be having knock out routines. I want to mention that in the team dance, she looked fabulous in the spidery outfit and glammed up hair. That type style is how she should be dressing for all her routines, glitzed out like that, she can pull it off.
I totally loved Bethany and Derrick. Also loved Janels "pretty little liars" number. Alfonso was okay, I just don't find the rumba to be a very interesting or exciting dance. Tommy Chong had a nice routine.
The reason some of the really bad ones are still there is because they have had so many really bad ones this season! I can't disagree with any of the ones voted off up till now.
Yeah, again questioning the fourth judge, doesn't make sense.

about last night: yawn. Performances were ok, I wanted a wow.
4th judge: maybe Julianne is 3rd judge in training if Len leaves next season? Maybe his grueling schedule of shows on 2 continents is wearing on him. Regardless of age, that's a lot for anyone, especially a newlywed. Dynamics would change a lot if it's Carrie-Ann, Julianne and Bruno.

I think Carrie Ann will be leaving, too. Her style and Julianne's are similar in judging.
About Bethany, I'm bowled over that this is a young girl who started a blog who's achieved this level of celebrity and it doing so well. Really amazing.

Thanks for posting that Kayak that was lovely, I need to look out for the book.
I watched last nights show sitting in the waiting room of a hospital with my friends as one of their DHs was being admitted i didn't see the whole show missed the group dances. So I'll watch them on DVR later in the week.
